There are no parents forcing their kids onto puberty blockers (because that is not how that works). Scientifically, since you want to be pseudo-intellectual, adulthood doesn’t start until you’re around 25, since that’s when your brain finishes developing and your body begins to approach a natural prime state. Pretty much hit the nail on the head there. While in theory, yes, each individual person will have a different age where they become an adult and become mature, that's not something that is easily quantified, and so a "one size fits all" law needed to be made.

For the vast majority of human history, adulthood was defined as having gone through puberty. I think there’s good reason why most of the world has moved that age up, but Charlie did a poor job explaining why.

as a trans person i can confirm and even then getting hormones is rly hard and you have to be transitioned for at least three years and get both parents consent and go through a year of therapy have a letter from a psychologist and even then you have to get screened so yeah he knows what he's talking about
One thing I've noticed a lot about online spaces, is that anyone who says they don't know much about trans related issues, usually knows a hell of a lot more than the average person who claims to understand everything. Even among trans creators like Icky, she's said in loads of videos that she still has a lot to learn and discover when it comes to transitioning, so for people like Sneako to be so confidently wrong about everything is crazyyyyy

Putting a child on hormone blockers and denying their body’s the ability to naturally mature absolutely puts them on track to transitioning. There is no “if we block puberty now, then when they get older, they can decide”. Their brain and thought process has already been altered irreparably. They’ve already been put on the pipeline. There is absolutely a slippery slope. This is a growth industry. Look into how many people transitioning are on anxiety, depression, and pain meds. Not to mention the chronic illnesses that can arise from hormone imbalances. The medical establishment has no reason to not run rampant. This is why countries who don’t have large profit motives in medicine have already banned hormone blockers for minors.
@@MusicalWhiskey I would challenge u to do some more research into the many reasons that children will be put on different hormone treatments/puberty blockers, including all the most common reasons which are outside of being trans. I would also challenge u, if u r curious, to research the science behind hormone treatments for trans people and see what doctors/scientists say about why it's perfectly valid to provide those treatments. There are no parents forcing their kids onto puberty blockers (because that is not how that works). And, to be clear, the amount of people who regret transition is less than 1% (I forget the actual number) and the majority of patients who say they regret transitioning say it is because of backlash from their family, not from actually not wanting to transition.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head there. While in theory, yes, each individual person will have a different age where they become an adult and become mature, that's not something that is easily quantified, and so a "one size fits all" law needed to be made.

For the vast majority of human history, adulthood was defined as having gone through puberty. I think there’s good reason why most of the world has moved that age up, but Charlie did a poor job explaining why.

Charlie’s take was weird out of context and I can’t say I agree with what he said about children making permanent life altering decisions. But the fact that people now hate him for it is ridiculous. I think he gave what he believed was the politically correct answer without doing research first. I think the main point he was trying to get across was that he believes people have a right to do whatever they want with their own bodies. But not necessarily CHILDREN who can’t really comprehend the possible consequences of such a life changing procedure. Tho he did say as long as they consult with their parents first.
