  • The Free Palestine protestors at college campuses are brainwashed. They think they're so righteous, and that the people who oppose them must condone evil - this is all the while some of them act like complete jerks with total disregard for the people living among them. Sick of these people.

Thank you so much, Charlie! I’m a graduate student and veteran at Emory, and I was in classes at the building closest to the Emory protests… I witnessed a lot of the aggression… and I have to admit, the student protestors were instigating… and once the police arrived, the protestors became more aggressive. I couldn’t help but think that the protests were not because of the issues… it seemed to me to be more about playing “superhero” by making villains out of the police, university administration, and any institution that has any authority or formal structure. I felt sick after witnessing the chaos… and I’m thankful I had the self-assurance to think for myself and to go home. Charlie, you always make the best videos! Blessings from Atlanta! 😇

They just closed the local school, Cal Poly Humboldt, for the rest of the semester because Pro Palestine idiots forced their way into the school's administration building, and the President's office, vandalized it, and fought the cops. This resulted in shutting down everything, including large music shows that have been planned all year, and causing me to lose my rent this month because I needed to work one of the shows shooting a big video project. They took away the classes all the regular students needed to prepare for finals, because the environment was unpredictable and a liability. They could have just set up on the quad and said their piece, but instead they chose to take away the rights of others to not be involved. So now they have stupidly done more damage than good.

Your distinction between facts, narratives, opinions and judgments is a breath of fresh air. If public discourse emphasized these distinctions, what we agree or disagree about precisely would become clear. This not only creates mutually-agreed upon starting positions, but it will clearly identify bad actors based on which claims they make and how they argue their points. The fact that discourse is rarely framed as such indicates that there is an interest having us fight with one another indefinitely because resolutions cannot be made in the mess.

I watched a beautiful 15 year old girl get tied to a pole and was burned to death all because she refused the sexual advances of an old man who held some power in a small village in Iraq. I watched three young men who were hung just because some old man said they were infidels from another village. Turned out another village elder sent his three sons to talk with the village elder from a different village. We were then stuck in between the fighting over the death of the three young men for a solid year. These are NOT the people you want in your country. .

    Happened today.
I see a friend of a few years, with whom I've had hours-long political discussions before and who I consoled once while they were crying from stress, attending a pro-Palestine rally.
I walk up and say hello. I ask him what his thoughts are. He doesn't answer exactly, and instead asks my thoughts. I say that I don't think I really agree with it. And that is that.
Maybe 10 minutes later, I asked him if he followed it much. He asks me what, and I say the Israel-Palestine conflict. I ask if he wants to have a conversation about it. He says he hasn't followed it much and that he's here to see what they have to say.
I waited until the current speaker and subsequent speaker were done, so I wasn't interrupting. I asked if he'd like to converse afterward. He said that I could stay afterward to talk to some of the organizers.
Now, I can understand him, if I said something again, getting annoyed and being like, "Hey, I don't really want to talk, can you stop?" That's a perfectly reasonable response if I'm annoying him.
So, I waited another several minutes so I wasn't interrupting. I said, "Well, I just want to say really quick that I wanted to have a conversation because I feel their rhetoric sounds nice, but it is shallow." And his response was a very stern and pissed, "Like, seriously, you need to get away from me."
I don't fucking get it. It just doesn't seem like a normal response to what I did. I can understand him telling me to stop, but his tone was almost insinuating that there's something wrong with me and I needed to get away from him because of it?
Like, why? Keep in mind, this played out over the course of 30 minutes. Like, 4 total interactions. It just felt like such a disproportionate response to what I did given the prior context and lack of annoyment or exasperation in his previous responses, and it felt like almost gaslighty. I don't know, maybe I'm off-base. But I've never ever had someone react like that to me.
So, it's just weird. He self-admittedly doesn't follow it, but he'll go out to a rally and snap his fingers along and be like, "Good point." When he doesn't even have a fucking clue if anything they said was accurate. Again, it's just a bunch of shallow rhetoric that appeals to "freedom" and "justice." Like, nothing substantial was said. So it's aggravating that he'd absorb it so uncritically, to the point where he's raising his fist in the air and chanting along.
Like, how do so many people fall for this shit? How is this the stuff that convinces people? It's as if so many are just sheep going with the herd. This is the popular thing to support now, so I'll support it without doing any investigation.

In fact, that hold true for the average American who, aside from 9-11,has not experienced bombardments from a foreign power.

Respectfully, I think you're missing a key element that any moral person should have in this discussion. Compassion. Your concept of narrative with regards to Israel being an oppressive state is grossly lacking compassion. Their influence and dominance in that region has been all but absolute. The people of Gaza, the Palestinian, have lived in a state of forced complacency for years, rising up every few years in order to try free themselves from Israel's influence. This is a fact. Whether Israel is in their right to hold power over that region is a matter of debate, but Gaza's state of oppression is not just a narrative, its factual.
Also words do have meaning. But implying that the accusation of genocide is a lie is grossly illogical and devoid of actual facts. There is evidence of genocidal behavior and actions taken by Israel that atleast allude to the intent to commit genocide. We may not be able to provide concrete evidence that proves this intent. But with compassion for human life, one can simply observe the actions of Israel and conclude based on the factual evidence that Israel is at most behaving in an inhumane way towards the ppl of Gaza. Even if we support Israel's campaign to defeat Hamas, there can be no question that Israel is going to far and their actions are somewhat genocidal in nature.
Also, the claims/info of destruction and death tolls are not just from Hamas anymore. These so called "Lies" that you're trying to disprove have already been proven accurate. Once again, one can support Israel if they wish while simultaneously condemning Israel's excessive force. If a cop can be condemned for shooting an unarmed suspect regardless of their intentions, Israel should not be above that criticism.
I think you're intellectually gifted but you're also quite limited in your knowledge. You say so yourself @ 00:29 that you are not an expert. And while you're entitled to an opinion on the topic, you are still lacking a huge amount of research and information that cannot be provided to you via Western Media only.
In short, you're not completely wrong in viewing things the way you do. However, ultimately you yourself are drinkiny a kool aid of ignorance on the topic. I do not mean to be confrontational or rude. I merely challenge you to study more on the topic before making statements about what is fact and what is merely narrative/opinion. Its a dangerous slope when someone who has not fully educated themselves on the matter suggests that everyone else is just spouting narratives/opinions.
It seems to me that mostly everything presented in thie video is an opinion. If you truly want to be a champion of facts, then I suggest you do more research.

Just curious, why won’t any Arab nations allow Palestinians into their countries? I would also challenge you to relook at the unbiased history. It is not a genocide, it is war. I am not on anyone’s side by the way.

    • @TeeDiss
      @TeeDiss 4 місяці тому

@@familyabroad962 the answer to that is multi-layered. On one hand, by forcing the Palestinian from their home, you radicalize many of them to continue to fight for the land that is rightfully theirs. Which means that if radicalized Palestinians are forced to live on places like Egypt, then they will inevitably place that country at odds with Israel.
Let's put it this way. Let's say you are forced out of your home/state/ country and forced to live in a country that isn't yours. Your family and friends were killed by those who forced you to leave. Its possible that you might want to try to get back at those who forced you to leave your home and killed your loved ones. I mean maybe western mentality is different. But for the Palestinian, they have a strong love and faith for their homeland and their ppl.
Egypt is aware that the Palestinian is willing to fight and die to take back their home, so they won't take them in because they know that the Palestinian may use Egypt as a base of operations against Israel and thus inadvertently created conflict with Israel.
Of course this is one of a multitude of reasons. But I do believe that this reason is a very reasonable one. Call them radicals, or freedom fighters, or whatever, the Palestinian has a right to have a home and Israel has for years tried to impose its influence on that home. Many of the countries around that region understand that the Palestinian would rather die than give up their land. They're martyrs for their faith and their patriotic allegiance to their homeland. I'm also not on anyone's side personally, but I think it's important to have a balance neutral view on this rather than making it seem like theirs no justification for calling Israel's actions, especially lately grossly excessive at best and somewhat genocidal at worst. I don't agree with the way Hamas has done things but there is a lot of evidence, outside of western media that suggests Israel is not an innocent power in this.
Lastly, war is two combatants going at it. Israel has for months bombed targets with a high civilian count and place where refugees are fleeing, hospitals and schools and so on. I'm not denying that in war this could happen. But if Israel had the intention to limit civilian casualties they would have focused on ground efforts rather than just bombarding the region from coast to coast.
For that reason, people have claimed it to be genocide. Because Israel is not even trying to limit civilian casualties. They are bombing and bombing and they claiming it's all Hamas using human shield, when in reality they could have come up with a better strategy than bomb the West send them east, bomb the east send them north, bomb the north, send them south.
They even recently bombed an area that should have been safe for refugees.
We can always debate whether Israel is in the right about why they are fighting Hamas. But what they're doing to Gaza is excessive, if not genocidal. I won't say it's a fact since apparently some will say it isn't. That said, it's an opinion based on observation. You don't need a whole bunch of evidence to see Israel has gone too far.

I'm fully aware Israel has done plenty of reprehensible things and I'm not some Israel lover, but with that said here are some fun facts the mainstream liberal narrative probably hasnt told you:
Fun fact: The concept of Palestine was invented by the British Empire and originally included all of Jordan. So even if you just accept their identity which was invented in modern times, there is already a Palestinian state in the form of Jordan.
Fun fact: Arabs who were born in Israel in 1948 or earlier and all their descendants are fully recognised as Israeli citizens and have all the same rights as Jewish Israelis. All of the Palestinians who claim they live in an apartheid are actually just illegal immigrants from other Arab countries who claim Palestinian identity because it helps their victim narrative.
Fun fact: The Palestinian population continues to grow year after year, which seems awfully odd for a people undergoing genocide. If you want to see a real modern genocide look at the Uighur genocide where their birthrates immediately plummeted after the government policies were enacted to do this to them.
Honestly Gaza should just become part of Egypt, its the logical solution to this unending shitstorm but probably wont happen because of politics.

      @markkuminov9772 4 місяці тому

All of your 'fun facts' are are pushed by the mainstream conservative media, which is no different in that it pushes a narrative that you have clearly fallen for.
Fun fact: The concept of modern-day Israel is not at all related to any Biblical or historical existence of a state consisting of Jews/Israeliates. In the same way that Putin is justifying the invasion of Ukraine under the guise of 'historical facts', modern day Israel has no claim over land that had belonged to the Arabs when the Brits were dividing up the region (in a very poor effort). Hence why there are many Jews that completely disregard the existence of modern day Israel as we know it.
Fun fact: Having the same rights does not equate to not suffering from systemic biases present within a system built by those who overrule the territory. In the same way that everyone in America is presumed to have the same rights in the court, there are many factors that cause certain groups to be at a disadvantage, and those who set up the systems to be advantaged.
Fun fact: A genocide can take decades to truly occur, its not a process that happens overnight and involves several different steps that aim to ostracise, exclude and weaken a populace. Israel's intelligence is not stupid enough to outright begin removing Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank, knowing that it'd force its Western allies to actually take action against it due to the expected pushback from the people if a full-blown genocide was to occur. However, it's a lot easier to excuse and hide the mass civilian casualties and lack of access to food and resources that Palestinians are suffering from as a result of this 'special military operation'.

2:30 Honestly I think your pretty wrong on the genocide front. Its the first real one we've seen in some time. And yes, I do think Israel is systematically trying to exterminate what they consider their enemy and are not distinguishing combatants from civilians, and are using the whole attack on them as cover to justify this. They also knew about the attack before it happened and didn't stop it, and suspiciously these terrorists crossed all their boarders and more mysterious still, took them hours to respond to the incident. Longest response time in the history of Israels security. They wanted this to happen.
Netanyahu called this Israels 9/11. And while obviously overblown, hes kinda right in a sense. We knew the planes were coming, we diverted our military force, we didn't respond in time, then we used that as justification to invade another country and kill people who wern't even involved with the incident.
This is the first Genocide we've seen since like... Idk rowanda or something. Its a narrative, and a fact. Will they wipe them all out? Probably not. But they are going to kill a lot. They have targeted civilians maliciously, there is evidence of this. Video evidence mind you, drones blowing up citizens. You could say its bad AI programing but we all know thats a fking excuse and even if it were the case, what in gods name are they doing sending out AI they cannot control to kill people. Its blind incompetent rage or maliciousness. If its not genocide, its very very very clearly war crimes.
Im not Anti-Israel btw, honestly I think Muslim nations are more at fault in general. That is not the case here. Im not picking sides, Israel is just clearly doing something patently evil here. They feel justified in doing it. Hate begets hate.
Just about everything else Charlie is saying here I think is right
Lets be perfectly clear about something. BOTH sides are lying. There are no lines that won't be crossed in love and war. Israel is lying about the facts, Hamas is lying about the facts. There are many verifiable things we know about however, like Israel denying aid to starving people they forced out of their homes. You are the one with a warped perspective on this one
FYI, if it matters, im staunchly anti-woke. Its not my bias speaking here, if anything im more likely to be pro Israel. Both sides are in the wrong here, Israel is way way more in the wrong. Not a proportional response, killing many thousands for hundreds of their own. I get it though. Netanyahu is a piece of shit, but for the rest. I would gladly slaughter a million people with my own hands to save someone I loved. I get it. But they are in the wrong here.

As far as the protesters disrupting community members, they had to move locations in Los Angeles from USC in expo park to UCLA in westwood. One really obvious reason why they had move which anyone who is a "community member" or at least lives in this city can immediately see is this. You don't mess around in expo park, it's not a place you would want to be walking around at night. Westwood? Nothing happens there. The homeless living out there are majority elderly veterans because the VA building is there, they are less volatile than the homeless of downtown that are getting on and off the metro rail that runs through expo park. The police barricaded the protesters at USC in to the campus as sundown approached that 1st day and the protesters took this as police oppression. Which shows how little they know about their real life situation, had they walked out into the streets and tried disrupting that neighborhood it would not have ended peacefully. In westwood, that isn't so much a concern. The protest has been contained on that campus since and I expect it to stay like that for the foreseeable future. At least they aren't really bothering anybody way up in the hills...

It's insane to me how you chose to disregard important discussion by labelling it as 'narrative', because apparently all decisions involving human lives should be based on the 'facts'? 'Facts' that are pushed by the media, that are being discussed and debated in real time. We are witnessing history, and yet you choose to finalise the information surrounding this tragedy of a conflict as conclusive.
What I don't understand is why you choose to focus on the minority of people who genuinely support Hamas, and then cultivate a 'narrative' that apparently all protestors are basically brainwashed terrorism supporters. There is evidence of civilians being intentionally killed by the IDF, and people rightfully should be able to protest this, especially when their own well-earned money is being spent through taxes to fund the state of Israel.
And finally that segment of the video where you said 'neo-marxist, anti-imperialist woke ideology'. Jesus christ, man. When you first began this channel, you obviously had pre-existing stances and views that you formulated and shared through videos that encouraged civil discussion in the comment section. Imo, the terrible (yes it’s awful) things we’re seeing are consistent with what happens in a war (idk any war where civilians don’t die, hospitals and schools get decimated etc). Genocide is sth different - i haven’t seen any actual evidence that the IDF is purposefully killing Palestinian civilians with genocidal intent. If you have anything that shows such intent,(and not from a news source that is making an obvious spin) i’m open to it

@@chinitocharlieyou are a very articulate and reasonable young man. Not sure if you have heard of Amir Tsarfati, he’s an Israeli Christian and he shows a lot of what is happening in Israel. I think what our American protestors want to toss out, is that Israel was the victim of an attack, the atrocities dome to women and children that day, and to those still being held…. how that can be overlooked and Israel expected to take it on the chin? Israel goes out of their way time and again to warn any civilians and give time to evacuate before drooping any bombs, phone calls, flyers, audible warnings. That really impressed upon me, how the desire is not to harm anyone who may be innocent. The terrorists hide within and under hospitals and schools. They put their people in harms way purposely. Yet Israel is the “bad” guy? The terrorists went in killing the Israelis who were closest to them, working with them, most compassionate “social justice minded” folks, if you will, and yet that mattered not to the terrorists.
Pastor Brandon Holthaus has had some troops inside the Israeli military talk via zoom to give updates as they could. The things they describe having seen be done to their citizens. Truly an act of evil.
God bless! So glad you don’t drink the kool aid young man!

@@chinitocharlierandom bit of info, my granddad was a rear gunner on Lancasters in WW2 he was on the bombing runs over Dresden, he was an old man and I was a know it all 19 year old and I remember him crying after we got into an argument about war, this was when trident was at Greenham common. He told me if I had seen the horror of what he had been part of in the name of war I would be a little more informed about the geopolitical history of the world, it helps to understand the biases of those who write the story. Vis a vis the Middle East we have two groups who are fighting for supremacy of a piece of land instead of agreeing to share it. There is fault on both sides, but I suppose if someone punched me on the nose and then told me they’d do it again I think I would go all out to stop them. Also I do think people forget that Hamas are the elected majority party, although as far as I am aware they haven’t had elections since they won in 2006. But again that another very nuanced topic.

It’s a probable genocide based on the International Criminal Court’s ruling. You should read something other than “articles” if you want to be informed on such matters. Read the ICC ruling. This video comes off as silly and poorly informed.
