    Great video mate! I’ve got the same model but haven’t started on the electrics yet so you’ve given me some good ideas thanks. Can I ask where you got the tailgate “plug-and-play” light from?

      Cheers mate, I bought that tailgate light from a member on the Facebook 200 series owners group. I’m sure if you jump on there and search for it, shouldn’t be to hard to find. Definitely a great little bit of kit 👍

    Hi Nathan, nice vid, are you still happy with the Optima deep cycle or will you be looking at something else when it comes time to replace? Thanks

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate, glad you are enjoying the video. So yes, the Optima battery is still going strong and doing what it does best, however saying that I would definitely be tempted to try out a lithium setup for a replacement when it does finally give up. I'm not 100% confident in these for under bonnet applications, but wanting to test and try a unit to see how it goes.
      Cheers.

    Awesome setup. Was it difficult to get the wiring to the rock lights?

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  4 роки тому

      Thanks mate. I didn’t do it myself, however the fronts are fair easy to access through the bullbar and engine bay areas, however the rear requires the interior panels to be removed to gain access. I had all the panels removed anyway with all the other work that was done. 👍

    Hi Nathan,
    Was wondering what size cable did you run to the back of the car?
    Did you do a seperate run for fridge and rear anderson plug?
    Did you run two lots of 6mm2 from the start battery to your comprsssor?
    Thanks Eric.
    Really enjoy your vids, thanks.

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  3 роки тому

      Hi Eric, so unfortunately I don’t have the specifications of the wiring used for this system. All the wiring was completed in one installation by Ultimate 4WD Equipment. These guys do some awesome electrics work and run a single comprehensive harness to the rear of the vehicle where it is distributed to all accessories.
      If interested, I’m sure Ultimate could answer your questions in regards to these specifics.
      Sorry I could be of more hope.
      Cheers, Nathan.

      So last I heard, they were not offering the box as a kit as they wanted to keep the product local and in house to maintain quality control and reputation. This may have changed though, maybe worth a phone call to see their view now.

    Hi mate. Great videos.
    May I ask how much your dual battery and brake controller cost through ultimate 4wd?
    I’m chasing just dual battery and a couple of 12v plugs in the boot

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback.
      It would be very hard to distinguish the costs involved with just those components. I had so much work, both accessory fitting and electrical work done to the vehicle at the same time, not all elements of the install were singularly itemised on the invoice.
      I really would be guessing if I put a figure on it, however my experience with Ultimate 4WD has always been positive to date and they are great at replying quickly to quote estimates.
      Sorry I couldn't be of more help today.
      Cheers, Nathan.

    Hi, Do you have a vid of how yopu changed over the door trim lights and the lights beside the roof mount video screen?? Any advice greatly appreciated, as I dont want to stuff up the changeover to STEDI LED's. I managed all the other changeovers except these.

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  2 роки тому

      Hey mate, negative unfortunately that was one of those mod's I did before starting UA-cam. The plastic covers should have a small cut out or indent where you can fit in a small flat head screwdriver. This will loosen the clip allowing the covers to come out and access to the lights. Hope this can help a little.
      Cheers, Nathan.

      phillip moran Thanks mate. I haven’t done a specific video on this system as yet. Is there any information in particular you are chasing?
      Getting this kit fitted took organisation between the drawer builder, the ARB fitter I went through and Airbag man (where I sourced the inflation kit from). Great system and makes it soo much easier when connecting and disconnecting the caravan regularly.

    How are those lights mounted on to the rhino rack rail? Did you drill into the rail?

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  4 роки тому

      They are, there are two small holes drilled into the mounting rack for each light. The cable just gets pushed through the factory gap. They are also mounted on 30 degree mounts to provide the correct angle of light for camping.

    • @XploringOz
      @XploringOz  2 роки тому +1

      Hey mate, these panels are custom made by CustomInstallations as part of the drawer system. The new one they make are slightly different with logo embossing etc.
      Saying this, these ones here are just 3mm acrylic, which could be homemade yourself with a drill, jigsaw and maybe a grinder. I did a little coverage on plastic fabrication in the EGT gauge bracket in a previous video. You can also pick the acrylic up off eBay fairly cheaply in small quantities.
