That violin and bow are simply extensions of her own body. They seem permanently attached to her hands. She must feel incomplete without them. She possesses a supreme talent and we are all the fortunate recipients of that talent. Thank you, Máiréad, for sharing.
Every time I hear her play the first part of this I’m moved to tears. She’s so talented and blessed with a beautiful ability to make you feel the music in the depths of your soul.
That gleaming smile that splits her face during 'The Mason's Apron' shows you just how much she loves playing her violin. It's not a job, it's the love of music.
her athletic abilities leaves the NBA slam dunkers in shame how she can glide thru the air and never miss a lick , nothing short of wondrous. something so magical all about her
I wish Mairead Nesbitt the Celtic Woman companion can play the Fantasia of British sea songs while she plays the violin in different medleys! She could come to the royal Albert hall in London to participate BBC PROMS for one day.
I love how the first part of this amazing song sounds like shennadoah and the second part with the drums almost sounds like the contradiction. lol although i love this so much better!
What is it called when Celtic Woman's violinist goes into the fridge in the middle of the night for a snack? Maireading the fridge! (This is also a good way to remember how to pronounce her name!)
With her, a veritable goddess with a fiddle, and those two boys (though they are hardly second string), they manage to make every single person smile and clap their hands and stomp their feet and allow themselves to be carried away by the sweetness of their music and the cheerful step of their rhythm. I am in awe.
If you like Mairead then please go to the Irish Music Association site, join the forum there and cast your vote for Mairead as best fiddler. The link is posted on my UA-cam site. thank you for supporting Mairead.
Not a little elf, a High Elf, using a camouflage spell (the technical term is "glamour") to pass for merely human. And I'm going to see her live on May 17!
i am always worried her hair will get in the way when she is playing her violin there was a point in this about 3:29 that was so close. wonderful playing sound so heavenly
WATCH... MY HOLY FATHER LET'S MAKE SOME VESSELS OF SILVER AND GOLD FOR THE GLORY OF YOUR LAMB WHO'S BLOOD STILL CRIES OUT TO ALL THE EARTH AND FOR HIS GLORY...
