Good video. The never ending search for the perfect mix of speed and altitude

Great video - many thanks. The bonus for me being that I did not know about the RA ("Radar or Radio Altimeter"?) being shown on the G1000 PFD! So I have certainly learned something.
    Regards, Alasdair

    Thank you.
Very useful and some tips not often covered in other landing videos.
Perhaps on another video some more info on Glideslope and whether trim shoupd be used when landing.
In my landing efforts thus far, attitude is not something I concentrate on.
Would love to see something on Glideslope and Attitude at another time when convenient.
Thanks again for another wonderful video.

That's a great point. I was already planning on making a follow-up since I had about 6 mistakes that I want to cover, but broke it up into two smaller videos.

Excellent tutorial and tips! You just earned a like and a new sub!
I' m confused as to what the trim setting should be during VFR landings, and at what stage of the pattern should I set the trim for landing?
I've experimented with different trim configurations for successful landings while flying the Cessna 172. (And failed every time!).
At times, I set the trim between -1 and -3 to lose altitude with lesser power (the descent rate increases); and, at times, between +1 and +3 for keeping the nose up during descent (the descent rate reduces).
    Please advise.

It’s really difficult to trim on landing in msfs because you don’t have much time to do it and getting it right quickly is difficult because you can’t feel the pressure on the yoke. For that reason, I do a rough trim adjustment once I’m on final but then only make small corrections if necessary to remove some back pressure so that I can flare properly.

I like how you have a small window to show yourself. Some presenters fill the entire screen with themselves which I find very off-putting. I really don't want to see every hair up their nostrils. Also you don't yell into the mic like some. Thanks.

I like to cut power, kill the engine and just glide all the way in for some reason. I don't know why I du this, but there's something exciting about knowing you won't have any power if you need it.
