As someone who got dumped, and probably one of the reasons is because I gained weight, lost my drive to be more successful because of many issues with life and family, and found out that my ex started dating an MMA fighter just a few weeks after the breakup, it really destroyed me. I'm a lot better nowadays, but I still feel its effects. Of course the new guy is much hotter than me and obviously has a cooler job. I work a regular office job. So honestly, even though it's mind reading, my ex is probably never going back to me and not thinking about me at all. But I really agree that giving yourself the benefit of the doubt with that "I don't know for sure" helps, because once I found out they were dating, I immediately stopped stalking my ex, and I've even forgotten how the new guy looks. I just remember he's ripped as hell but I don't really remember in detail and I've forgotten his face. My only wish really is that I'll be able to regain confidence in myself and be able to attract another woman someday.
If it were me, I would rather have someone who is less in shape but kinder and more intellectual. Muscleheads do nothing for me and I am sure many women feel the same. I want someone smart and not narcissistic about their physique. Who needs that!
My ex went into a new relationship a week after she broke up with me. I can say he is objectively not as good looking as, he is older, is long distance and with children. I don't really care anymore, she can stay with him for all I care

I didn't read with caution. She's serious about dating the new guy over me.... So at the end I told her that we're not compatible as friends. I blocked her later that night and then I unblocked her and sent her a voice mail the next night. I know, I'm weak. But she's gone for good that's what I wanna believe.
The thing is though, even if your ex's new partner is not conventionally more attractive than you, if you've not done the work and not doing the work, you'd still be comparing yourself to them with things that can't be seen. Like, are they better than me in bed? Do they have bigger this and that? How come my ex replace me with something uglier than me? Does that mean they possess something else that's more special? A lot of stuff like that. That's why It's really better to stop stalking your ex on social media immediately and focus on yourself.
I don’t know anything about my ex because we only connected through text and we talked so much we didn’t connected on any other platform, not Facebook or Instagram. But I still think all the insane crazy things over the last month without knowing anything despite her praising how good a man I am after she broke up with me. I still think the worst.
I do hope they are actually, believe it or not. I just always wish them safety, blessings, and joyful lives. Sometimes, love is the exaltation of the humiliated self (Ryan Terraband). But not always. It's great when being in love and loving each other doesn't involve the loss of the attachments. Preferable obviously. For me, physical attraction only opens the door. It doesn't keep a woman inside. Because once I see inside of her to the deepity of her character, loyalty, personality, compatibility on the deepest levels.......... if I don't vibe and align with what's there then I literally feel much less physically attracted to her. Much less aroused, even. Hope that's not tmi. It's just true for me. As a collective we need to not give way to bitterness and manipulation. When she said " he treats me really good" . Her low self ...so this stranger is in bed..with hot 40ish..looks like 20ish. In 3 months..ofcourse its easy to treat her great. But she doesn't think " he doesn't know her for such treatment. Being used. Hard to relay the truth..
