1/4 tsp MSG (Sub Salt)
1/2 tsp Black Pepper Corn

3 Small Shallot
1 Lime (Juice)
2 Tbsp Filtered Fish Sauce

This looks so delicious. One of my favorite Lao dishes. I even like Nam Tok salad better than Larb. Another of my favorite dishes is Koi Paa. Basically, you replace beef meat with Mekong raw fish (Talapia?) in Nam Tok. We ate these when we visited Laos in 2018. Thank you for sharing.

Mmmm I’ve not had that dish! I’ll have to ask my MIL. It’s a toss up for me between Nam tok and laab. I think my favorite of the “meat salads” is laab diip. Mmmm

It’s definitely a favorite of mine too!! I order laap seen and Nam tok at a Lao restaurant once, and they were telling me it’s the same thing. And tried to advise me against ordering both. And I’m like no no, I really want both! Haha, it’s the same and different at the same time!
