The title comes from the name of Grandpa Munster's car, DRAG-U-LA, on the classic TV show The Munsters, which ran from 1964-1966. The car was built around a coffin and made for speed.
Rob Zombie used the macabre Munsters approach to create a car song with a horror aesthetic. Dragula destroys all in its path.
And Rob now owns both cars from the tv show.
I bought this CD when it first came out, and I proudly show it to my friend, he thought "Dragula" was about a cross-dressing vampire
I had such high hopes for his Munsters movie.....but from the previews and reviews, it doesn't look good. The way Sheri Moon Zombie plays Lily, I don't think she's seen a single episode. The actor who plays Grandpa did a good job, but I think the movie missed the mark.
Diggin' it
Metal Mark with all the good facts! 😘
Whoa! Saw this pop up had to slide over to watch this immediately. Big thanks to whomever requested this! ::pressing play::
You rock!
Bj’s name fits him perfectly. Lol he could suck a golf ball through a garden hose
Treat yourself to the "Official Video". One of the best representations of an artists vision of combining his music and imagery.
The groove in this song is supremely infectious.
This is one of his best. One of the things I love about Rob Zombie is his sense of humor. A lot of people take him way too seriously. (This song was featured in the film "The Matrix", though the version they used is the one from the album "American Music to Strip By". It's a bit raunchier than this one, if you can believe that!) :)
As Metal Mark said, Dragula was the name of Grandpa Munster's car. Rob is a HUGE Munsters fan. He just produced a new film of their adventures. :)
Another Rob Zombie Halloween type song is "Living Dead Girl". 🧟♀️
Also awesome: White Zonbie’s ‘More Human Than Human’, Filter’s ‘Hey Man, Nice Shot’ and Nine Inch Nail’s ‘Head Like A Hole’.
OMG so much better with the video!
Rob has so much great workout music. He’s got some awesome remixes too.
Rob Zombie is a fun artist to get into... he's got the macabre theatrics of Alice Cooper, fused w/ a sound that's 70's disco and punk rock blended together w/ electronic samples.
His previous band White Zombie scored MTV hits in the 90's like - 'More human than human' ... 'Thunder kiss 65' 🤘🤘🔥🔥
He went solo in 1998 w/ the album 'Hellbilly deluxe'... that produced MTV hits like 'Living dead girl'... 'Superbeast'.
Rob Zombie next album in 2001 ('The sinister urge') also delivered hits like - 'Never gonna stop'... 'Feel so numb'.
This is my second fav from him. Please check out his song Living Dead Girl! It's my favorite one!! Glad you loved this energy and his music! Great reaction as always!! Thank you!! Much love and blessings. ❤️❤️🔥🔥
I don't know a lot of Rob Zombie's catalogue, but I was definitely gonna recommend this one too...
Yep, Living Dead Girl.
YESSSS
More Human than Human is my fav.
The Dragula is Grampa Munster's race car (from that show The Munsters).
Wife here..WOW..Haven't heard this in awhile!!..You both hit the nail on the head as usual.., It's about the Munsters car.., the Dragula.., Also a Darker feel as music like this became Popular Goth Rock .., (Dance Music at the time)..Burning that extra 500"..I hear ya!!!
White Zombie - Thunder Kiss '65 is a good one. The official videos are a good show too!
"1965 Yeah"
You guys need to check out the music video for it. Absolute mayhem
Clicked as soon as I saw the title! Rob Zombie Dragula!!!!!!
My son has always been a Rob Zombie fan - I never understood until now!
used to listen to this song when i wanted to be pumped up lol. 20+ yrs later, this is the first time that i remember actually paying attn to the lyrics 🤣
Whoo-hoo, Rob is awesome, saw him at an Ozzfest in the late 90s, he blew the place away with heavy groove that would not quit. Unreal concert with a reformed, original Black Sabbath as the headliner, with Rob, Slayer, Godsmack, System of a Down, amongst others, as support acts. The Power and the Glory of Heavy Rock was on display that day and night, my head rang for days. Try Superbeast, another banger from Rob. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
Dude, that must've been an awesome concert!! I am extremely jealous!!
@@michaelward5370 The minor permanent hearing loss was worth it!
@@vicprovost2561, I'm sure it was! I was lucky enough to see Slayer on their final tour, it was loud but extremely awesome!!
Living Dead Girl and Superbeast are great Rob Zombie songs as well. All from the same album
Rob is all about camp horror, and by all accounts he's a super nice guy. As a general rule, the scariest rock personas are the nicest guys irl. Kinda like "heels" in pro wrestling.
Try “feel so numb”, “super beast”, “never gonna stop”, “more human than human”
Fun fact: Rob is an expert on trivia regarding the 1960s TV show,The Munsters.
Y'all need to watch offcial video of this song to not only see Rob Zombie but also see his wife Baby. Her name is Sheri Moon Zombie but she started out as his video girl and also did Living Dead Girl. I recommend y'all watch Living Dead Girl if haven't already. Official video of course!!
Now that you’re a Rob Zombie fan you need a poster of him on the wall behind you. I see there is an empty spot right beside Dolly Parton. Perfect spot!
He is great fun to see live.
Great reaction! I always feel like a can take on the world when listening to this song.
I'd be hulk-smashing left and right ::smash:: ::smash:: ::smash::
Like Ronny on Jersey Shore yelling "COME AT ME, BRO!", hulk-smashing, world take-on.
That's normal, right?
No, I’d love to see you guys watch his movie House of 1000 corpses. Oh my God I can just see the reaction now.
Cool reaction y'all✌I love this song💯
My dude right here. I saw him when the Bronco Bowl still did concerts, early 2000s if memory serves. His horror movies are freaking amazing and his old lady plays the best crazy b**tch ever.
If you liked that, Living Dead Girl, More Human Than Human, and Thunder Kiss '65 need to go on the "to-do" list for sure! Lol. Would also recommend his movies since you guys are doing those types of reviews... especially since Halowwen is approaching, however not sure if you'd actually want to go down that road.... also, not sure if it would even be "youtubeable" 😆
JT, White Zombie were effing awesome! Love those songs, as well as Electric Head (part 2), and Welcome To Planet Motherfucker!!
Awe,you need to watch the official version! It's so much fun!!
Also, you would like "Feel So Numb",on their CD Sinister Urge.
Oh,..and th song "House of a Thousand Corpses" will send chills down your spine. Lol.
3:42 😅 I once went to the local pool and there was a heap of old people doing water aerobic exercises to a remix of Disturbed's version of Land of Confusion. I don't think I'd ever been so confused in my life.
Drag - ula.= a hotrod from the same guy that built the original batmobile, George Barris.
He is so right! Rob Zombie and "White Zombie" songs are my running music.
He wrote this from the old show the Munsters . It was the name that Grandpa gave their car ! DRAGULA .
Asia and BJ, you both need to check out the music video of this banger. It’s awesome and perfect for the Halloween season!!
Rob Zombie is a great songwriter, and his influence on various genres of metal today has been enormous. His entire discography is highly recommended.
Awesome! I just saw Rob Zombie at Aftershock.
Being Halloween season, you should watch the official video, not just the lyric version.
I’m sure it’s been mentioned but Dragula is a hot rod from the ‘60 from ‘the Munsters’ movie. It’s grandpa munsters car that Herman drove in a race overseas. You’ve got to believe- watch the video! It’s the coolest wildest video I can think of! It somehow matches the song and Rob perfectly! Ok thanks you two, appreciate that you do some good songs…. Matt
They vibbin' but the most calm Zombie vibe I've ever seen. It is a car. From the Munsters.
Dragula is the name of the family car on The Munsters.
Rob Zombie's brother is Spider One, lead singer of Powerman 5000.
This song was on a really cool snowmobile racing game PS 1 or 2. It was the perfect song for the game.
It's Dragula with a G. Dragula was the name of Herman Munster's car from the series back in the 60s called the munsters.. It was a dragster souped up monster car. And I mean Monster not the kind of monster trucks you see on tv.
You guys might never know this, in the movie "The Matrix" when Neo was in the club where he met Trinity for the 1st time this song was playing in the club
I used to have the music video DVD with all the music videos from the album and the music CD. He has a bunch of cool music videos that y'all need to check out.
Check out “Dracula” by reggae artist Desmond Dekker who is best known for his song “Israelites”.
Fun fact, this was featured in Twisted Metal 4 😎
Y'all definitely need to watch Superbeast as well!!! Official video of course for full experience!!!
I consider this song, like a lot of songs Rob Zombie recorded, to be a dance track.
A good treadmill walking song...Its fun on the treadmill...I have done it. When the guitars pick up go up on the speed..
The Dragula is from the Munsters.
Dragula was the car from grandpa on the old Munster’s tv show.
Always liked this song it Rocks!
Part of the Twisted Metal 4 soundtrack. Loved playing that game with my kids.
One of my favorite workout songs is "Hey Man, Nice Shot" by Filter..... it's a banger!
Rob Zombie is awesome live! Seen 3 or 4 times, alway a great stage show!
Rob Zombie library IS workout music.
Living dead girl and Never Gonna Stop are two more of my favorites.
'The 'DRAGULA' was the Munsters hot rod in the old T.V. show.
I saw White Zombie live during the Astro creep tour.
Seen them live Big day out Sydney, best ever
“More Human Than Human” ❤️🔥🎸❤️🔥🎸❤️🔥🎸❤️🔥🎸❤️🔥🎸
Zombie, Zombie!! Check out Thunderkiss ‘65, Living Dead Girl, Demoniod Phenomenon, Feel So Numb. So many songs!
If you haven't yet, you definitely need to give his song Living Dead Girl a spin.
I looove Rob Zombie!!
I had to listen 🎶 to this , awesome jam, thanks guys, wishing you guys great weekend 😀 ✌️🕶
Dragula is Herman munsters car but this song and car was also featured on the video game twisted metal.
Yall should’ve watched the video! Dracula is a car! Lmao. 🖤 I grew up on this. This whole album is legit!
He puts on one heck of a show!!!
Mad love! Just going through your catalog. Expect me to pop up randomly!
You guys should check out more Rob Zombie, check out his band White Zombie, they had some lit 🔥 songs, also check out Bodies by Drowning Pool and Click Click Boom by Saliva, if yall liked Dragula you will like the others 😉
I use to do my housework to this album..lol.. Got that Sh...t done in record time!
Watch the Dragula music video then the episode of the Munsters where Herman races his "Dragula" hot rod.
I Freakin Love Black people, yes I said Black people respect and enjoy music like this. Rob Zombie is So freakin Amazing!!!! I love that we can "All just truly get along!!!" Can we please play this and March to the capital with us all, blacks, whites, Asians, indians, all y'all to Washington DC!! To prove we are all in it together!!!
From the album Hellbilly Deluxe. The whole album is fire! The songs Living Dead Girl and Superbeast are awesome as well.
Oh so do wish you had done the video!
Dracula + dragster = Dragula!
I saw him live on Halloween night years ago. he had clips of classic monster movies
on a large screen behind him while performing. He's nuts!
Man, watching this made me want to get back into Twisted Metal 4. This song is on the soundtrack for the game
You should’ve watch the original music video,, to see Rob Zombie and see his persona .
great october song....lol....my favorite video of this song,is thw one that overlays "fly boys" movie....look it up
George Barris; 'nuff said.
Needs the official video.
Should have used the music video. It's pretty fun. Also, that was probably the best beat of that decade. Catchy af
Please tell me y’all immediately went and watched the official video!!!
I have to watch my speed when this comes on in the car. You have to go back and watch this video. It has the dragula(car) from the show The Munsters in it. His song Living Dead Girl is good. Also Sweet Dreams by Marilyn Manson is good. Watch the video.
Saw Rob with Ozzie now that was a show.
Rob Zombie and the first band White Zombie are a different kinda metal that I love...Recommend "Black Sunshine"...
Dracula was the dragster in s Munsters episode,I'm pretty sure.
I used to know what film the line "Superstition, Fear and Jealousy" came from but for the life of me I can't remember. If anyone knows please refresh my memory!
Dragula was also a car in the video game twisted metal which is pretty sick.
Oh, I miss playing that game!
Really should have done the video. Love the old sci-fi theme and old horror movie outtakes. That's another one on my bucket list to see Rob Zombie.
Perfect Halloween song guys! This would be the perfect song for the movie "The Craft." Sidney Prescott aka Neve Campbell from "Scream" is in it. Fairuza Balk and Robin Tunney are in it too as well as Sidney's boyfriend from "Scream." Other Rob Zombie songs: Living Dead Girl, Superbeast. Rob was known for making the coolest animatronic-like figures on stage at his concerts. He directed a few horror films too.
Never Gonna Stop is awesome too!!
The bass is sick
Awesome request for sure!
Yes it was!
YES! ROB ZOMBIE..GREAT SONG!
Love the shirt Go Pack!
