Everyone’s screaming at their devices, “THAT is Rob Zombie singing”!!
For real. I keep giggling. But sometimes when you see a singer one way you may not recognize them another way. To me he just looks like Rob Zombie all the time though.
If he was a snake he would've bit them!
My 1st time hearing White Zombie was opening for Pantera in Atlanta in 92..man that was a brutal and bangin night! 🤘
I saw them when they opened for Megadeths Countdown tour in 1993. Pantera also was on that show.
Ikr!! How did they not recognize his voice? Strange moment though. They had me trippin' for real or I thought they were trippin' 😅
Are you serious? Rob Zombie is the vocalist. He's not wearing the horror movie makeup, but I'd recognize him anywhere, both his looks and voice.
White Zombie started as a noise rock/punk band in the 80s before going metal. They are one of the nastiest, grooviest and most creative metal bands of the time.
Must of been too much for their rap and hip hop minds. Im gonna see if I can get Rob Zombie himself to come and set them straight 😁
Yeah, it was kinda annoying
Yup. that's them. I bet it shocked y'all to learn the vocalists name lol.
I think since it was a bunch or years ago they may not recognize him.
Make them make an apology video.
I don't mean this in a mocking way, but the two of you puzzling over Rob Zombie's connection to this video after hearing him sing and seeing his face staring into the camera the whole time is one of the more baffling reaction viewing experiences I've ever had. But glad you liked it!
Nice and blunt 👍😂
They always expect(especially the guy) every song they listen to by artists to sound and the video to be like the songs they listened to before. Guess artists cant grow and change in their reality. They dont realize Rob Zombie was in White Zombie way before his solo stuff. Oh well whatever. White Zombie and Rob Zombie still Rock! ☺
I don’t mean anything negative by this either but everything you said is exactly my thoughts. Rob Zombie=White Zombie. He branched off to become Rob Zombie.
I mean, his face is right there in the thumbnail. 😂
Me too, it was a ride.
I almost spit out my drink when Jay said "Where's Rob Zombie?" Holy sh*t - HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU DUDE! Ah, anyhow. Love you guys but you had me shaking my head with this one. Glad you liked the song, at least. It's a true banger!
Dude, you took the words right out of my mouth! Where's Rob Zombie? Wtf? 😆 Jay, I love ya man, but you're killing me here.
@@chriswood232 Absolutely. This was way worse then when they kept calling Sean Austin in Rudy Frodo instead of Samwise. I am going attribute this them having a bad day upset by the Joe Burrow news 😳
Same here 😂
This was Rob Zombie's band before he went solo.
Thunder Kiss '65 is one of their biggest.
Black Sunshine was the sleeper hit on that record.
have they listened to Thunder Kiss 65?
@@tacticorememes You... (see below)
@@knavehart and you are right...
@@PiterDeVries668 Yep. Come on over, enjoy the show. Music fuels us all.
I was always in the camp that thought people not recognizing Superman as Clark Kent was ridiculous but seeing you guys literally watch Rob Zombie sing at the camera for a full video and not recognize him made me reconsider my whole stance. 🤣
I know right 😂😂😂. I was like what 🤔
@@philburton2223I continously find myself shocked at how bad a lot of people are at facial recognition. I've known people who can be watching an old movie and a hugely famous actor who I know they are very famililar with can pop up and just because they are seeing them at a younger age than they are used to they have no idea who it is.
@@williamroper5422 Now that you have written that I have seen that too. Interesting 🤔
LOL
😂 You’re comment is so on point, salute you Sir! 🫡
Fun fact: Rob Zombie's younger brother is the lead singer of the band Powerman 5000, best known for the song "When Worlds Collide" (another good workout song). Whereas White/Rob Zombie's look tends to be based more around horror movies, Powerman 5000's look is more sci-fi based.
Powerman 5000 is another awesome band!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
How are you asking where Rob Zombie is? He’s dancing/singing into the camera 😂he’s doing his thang! I saw him in concert once, he opened for Godsmack/headlined with Godsmack and Shine Down. He’s was freaking AMAZING! ❤
“Thunder Kiss ‘65” next please. Rob Zombie is the one singing y’all lol. He’s at the forefront the whole time. This was his band before he went solo.
Ok, now you gotta check out "Thunder Kiss 65" by White Zombie. So much POWER! LET'S GO!! 💯💪🔥
Thanks to Beavis & Butthead!
ECW! ECW!
Yes indeed!That's what I was thinkin too😂
THIS! YES!
That's my favorite 💯
This is a young Rob Zombie from almost 30 years ago, he’s front and center singing whenever they’re showing the band playing!
Are you kidding??!!!! He’s the one singing!!!! I’m glad you liked it
Rob was singing the entire video. His solo stuff was recorded later so his beard got bigger later on.
" Thunder Kiss 65' was White Zombie's biggest hit.
NINETEEN SIXTY…. FIVEEEEE YEAH! 🤘🏼❤
Saw it on beavis and butthead and bought it the next day! Lol
And my personal favorite of theirs
Still bangs today
They definitely won't recognize him in that one. Great tune.
when this song hit the streets it blew everyone away, none of us had ever heard such things on the radio and changed what was possible for music from that moment forward
Rob Zombie is the dude singing. He's in almost every shot of the band.
White Zombie consists of Rob Zombie (vocals), Jay Yuenger (Guitar), Sean Yseult (bass), John Tempta (drums), The band was named after a 1932 Bela Lugosi movie.
John Tempesta on drums. He has more recently been drumming for The Cult.
Babes on bass are cool. 😎
When I first ran across this channel (Rob Squad Reacts), I thought they must be Rob Zombie mega-fans. Soon figured out my error! 😂 Glad they've become fans, though. 🤩
@@Chris.Davis.2 Sean Yseult, Misa, Suzi Quatro, Alejandra Villarreal, Maya Ford, Ashley Suppa, Kelly Ogden, & Tal Wilkenfeld.
@@MrRyan2112 I recognize some of those names. You got me on a Google search, thanks! 👍
Rob Zombie is doing his thing... he is the one singing. Welcome to White Zombie, similar but different (less refined) to his solo stuff.
I would say that what he was doing with White Zombie is far superior to anything he's done in his solo career.
They had me not trusting my 👀 I' m like Rib is the one singing what are they talking about 🤔
There was an old B&W horror movie called White Zombie, they named the band after, it’s a cool movie!
And Rob is so young in this video
@@chopps75 White Zombie is awesome, but Hellbilly Deluxe is the best album from top to bottom.
😂 Sorry Jay, can't help but laugh - Rob Zombie IS the singer/songwriter of White Zombie. He was right there all along. 🤘
Rob Zombie is singing, y'all. He's right there! Everyone loved this song when it came out. I wore out the cassette tape for the album. It's still on the gym playlist. I'd love for you to react to 2 of the movies he directed: House of A Thousand Corpses and Devils Rejects. Good for the month of October.
Rob Zombie is the Zombie of White Zombie. He is the vocalist. Amber, if you like pushing weights to RZ, you will work even harder to White Zombie’s “Thunderkiss’65!” Just remember when you do that one, it’s Rob Zombie doing the singing, even though his beard is even shorter in that video. RZ is playing Jack Sparrow for sure. There may not be the long luxurious beard, but you can’t mistake the dreads and the voice!
Super Charger Heaven is another good one.
YES! Please do a reaction to Thunderkiss 65
to be fair, his voice isn't quite is wrecked by his vocal style yet, and he looks REAALY different without the makeup.
This was his band before he went solo. "Thunder Kiss '65" is best song from these dudes. That is Rob Zombie singing the song.
That is Rob Zombie!! lol, He was the lead vocalist of White Zombie, Before he went solo...well kind of, Pretty much made his own band. White Zombie was the original band he was with and they went from 1986-97(not 100% on those years though) you guys had me in the twilight zone everytime you asked where he is 🤣 "Right in front of you!' I kept saying
Omg dude!!!! Rob is the dude who has been singing right in your face the whole time! 😂😂😂😂
White Zombie's 2 best tunes are Thunder Kiss '65 and Black Sunshine!
That is Rob singing..This is him in the late 90s
The vocalist that was in the video was Rob Zombie.🔥👍
ROFL!!! Dude and Dudette, Rob Zombie was the lead singer that was staring you in the face as he sung!!! LOL! When this song first started playing on the radio back in the 90's it was something so DIFFERENT than anything anyone else had ever heard and I remember when the first lines of percussion and guitars would start, my heart would start pounding and racing and I could hardly breath because the air would just stick in my throat! it was so exciting! By then I wasn't watching MTV anymore because I was always away from home, but my car radio would sure crank up and I'd be singing as loud and badly as I could, and THAT would be the BEST few minutes of the night! It was like getting 1000 volts of electricity directed right into me!
Ok, got one for you, if you haven't reacted to it already. "Black Betty" by Ram Jam. You won't be disappointed! 😁
As others have said Rob Zombie is the lead singer & main force behind this band. White Zombie was his band from 1985-1998, he then disbanded the band & went solo.
The name White Zombie comes from the 1932 Bela Lugosi horror film of the same name. Rob is a big horror nerd & has written and directed several of his own successful films, House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, Lords Of Salem, 31, as well as remaking Halloween & Halloween II.
The phrase More Human Than Human, comes from the classic 1982 sci-fi film Blade Runner, starring Harrison Ford & directed by Ridley Scott, who is also known for directing Alien, The Martian, Gladiator amongst others.
White Zombie occurred before he went solo. He's the one singing lead.
Rob Zombie IS the lead singer of White Zombie….please do Thunder Kiss 65 next!
Rob Zombie is the singer! He’s right effin there! Geezus
Welcome to the prime years of MTV... This ones give away what made MTV huge,.. "Can`t look away" says it all... :D
"More Human Than Human" is the motto of the Nexus corporation that makes androids for off world work and military deployments. "I want more Life" is a direct quote from the film, "Blade Runner".
More Human than U man
@@u123881 If that's true, then U2 man.
@@guscarlson7021 I think that is the implication of the lyric (my take on it)
@@u123881 You're wrong, but go on ahead with it.
@@guscarlson7021 i told you it was my take on it so piss off
White Zombie was formed in the 1980s and Disbanded in the late 90s when Rob Zombie went Solo. Kurt Cobain was a big fan of their early material
White Zombie had Sean Yseult and Smashing Pumpkins had Darci playing bass. Two badass lady bassists. Both around at this time.
My favorite White Zombie song is Thunder Kiss ‘65. Great song for a workout playlist.
Rob is the lead singer of white zombie. This band is from the early 90s or even late 80s. He created this band before he became a director and before he went solo
This was my First White Zombie song ever! Immediately fell in love with the band.
Keep rocking on everyone! 🤘🏻😎👍🏻
I remember when White Zombie came to Houston in the 1980s, to a little club called "The Axiom".
*_How… how do you not know Rob Zombie is the singer? He’s right there. He’s staring at you and singing in plain sight. I’m at a loss for words on this one._*
4:20 That's Rob Zombie singing lead on the song.
“Electric Head” is an absolute banger. Also “Supercharger Heaven” hits real hard! Like a sledgehammer!
Guys White Zombie was prior to his solo stuff. They put out a couple cool albums then Rob went solo. He does all vocals
Cosmic monsters Inc.
I'm pretty sure Rob was writing and producing the White Zombie stuff, so he just figured since he was doing it all already, he might as well have his name in front.
The lead singer was Rob Zombie and this was (as far as I know) his first band.
Yes this is Rob's band before he went solo. For another White Zombie banger I would recommend " Thunder Kiss '65 "
Rob Zombie was upfront and center, singing. lol
YES! This song is SO hard!! No matter what genres you like, this song mandates that you to get pumped!!! ❤
Thunderkiss 65 was the first White Zombie song I ever heard. They Sean Yseult is an energetic stage presence. She bounces a lot. Lol!
The band formed in 1985 with Rob as the lead vocalist. What you saw was the younger version of Rob without the "horror vibe " look. More Human than Human debut in late 1999, but didn't hit video or airtime till 2000!
😍😍😍 Rob is singing.
Thunder Kiss 65!!! Their best song!!!!!
Rob Zombie is singing. There is no mistaking his voice . 😁
I'm 68 and I LOVE this song !! I crank it when I'm driving. Lol I've seen him in concert...awesome!! 🤘🤘🤘HE'S THE SINGER...LOL
White Zombie - "Thunderkiss '65"
Amber is right on the money. Having seen these guys live- all of us absolutely WERE pumped the EFF up!!! What a show that was!
I saw them when they opened for Ozzy in '07 or '08 in Detroit.
@@beowulf1005 that wasnt them. I saw this BAND in 1993, opening for Pantera in Yokohama, Japan. Then, went to a bar in Roppongi that the sound guy told us they were gonna go to, YY Pip's and hung out with BOTH bands and their road crews. Even got to meet drum legend Carmine Appice and take some pics (with a disposable camera, yay 90's.)
the band you saw was Rob's NEW band, not the original WHITE ZOMBIE.
@@jasonmgomezAny live footage I've seen of White Zombie consisted of Rob running around on stage then staying winded for the rest of the song. He needed some serious cardio conditioning as all animated lead singers do.
@@byerenny sounds about right.
@@jasonmgomez You're right. It wasn't White Zombie, but just Rob Zombie by '07.
That is Rob Zombie singing. He's a beast🤘
You just don’t recognize a younger Rob . I never thought anyone would review this song so thank you! I love that you are open to all styles of music.
Like everyone else is saying White Zombie is the band before Rob went on his own. He is the one singing the song. If you want to try another White Zombie song Thunder Kiss 1965 is a banger
White Zombie was co-founded by Rob Zombie, after coming up with the band idea in 1985 while attending Parsons School of Design in his junior year. Zombie, a huge horror film aficionado, named the band after a 1932 horror movie starring Bela Lugosi called WHITE ZOMBIE, considered the first true zombie movie (the movie title was also the source for Rob Zombie's stage name, as he was born Robert Cummings.) The other co-founder of the band was Sean Yseult, the bassist and originally Rob’s girlfriend.
As with two of their previous albums, Soul-Crusher (1987) and La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One (1992), many of the songs on the album this tune is from, 1995’s Astro-Creep: 2000 - Songs of Love, Destruction and Other Synthetic Delusions of the Electric Head (or simply Astro-Creep: 2000), feature snippets of dialogue from horror and cult films including THE OMEGA MAN (1971), SHAFT (1971), THE HAUNTING (1963), THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1958), and TO THE DEVIL A DAUGHTER (1976).
Neat fact, the home movies flashing throughout the video with the two kids are home movies of Rob Zombie & his little brother....who also has his own band, Powerman 5000....you'd probably dig them as well
Lol, i couldn't believe you couldn't find Rob Zombie!! He was right in front of you singing!!! Without his usual Zombie makeup. 🧟♂️
That is Rob Zombie haha. He is singing.
Nice! With Halloween approaching soon, y’all should add “House of 1000 Corpses” to your scary movie list. It’s Rob Zombies directorial debut, and also stars his wife Sheri Moon. If you watch “ The Office” you’ll also recognize Dwight in it.
Devil's rejects is definitely a must!
@@michellec2514 Tootie F'n Frootie!!!
And this is why I miss MTV.
Sure we can now find the videos on here, but MTV VJ's used to introduce the videos, give tidbits, tour info, you see little interviews with the musicians, talk about the video, etc. Gotta dig for it now.
Rob is the singer BTW =)
Rob Zombie’s beard was much shorter when this early music video in his career was made. He was primarily an artist at that time, who first gained attention by painting decorative artwork at the studios of MTV in New York City. Zombie is an artist in his heart, and it influences all of his music composition and his film directing work.
Finally some real rock! Rob Zombie is the singer of White Zombie which came before he went solo.
It’s actually maddening how neither one of them even asks out loud if that’s a younger Rob Zombie singing, the voice alone should have at least been familiar.Or maybe pull out a phone and Google the lineup to see he was actually the lead vocalist.
White Zombie was originally a Punk/ Grudge Band but shifted to Heavy Metal with La Sexorasisto Devil Music Vol. 1 and Astro Creep 2000. Rob Zombie is singing/rapping the lyrics. He is really young in this video with his then Girlfriend Sean Yshalt on Bass. Him and his Girlfriend started White Zombie and when they broke up so did the band for good. Even though Rob and Sean were the only 2 remaining original members.
John Tempesta is a bad-ass!
White Zombie started in th 80's Rob was with them for years before going solo. By the way that is Rob Zombie singing. Thunder Kiss 65 or Black Sunshine next please.
Rob zombie is the lead singer in the dreadlocks. He preformed in White zombie before he went solo
Absolutely love this song! Hope you put the band Powerman 5000 on your radar, “When Worlds Collide” or “Supernova Goes Pop”😎🤘
The singer is Rob's brother. Saw Powerman in concert. I have their autographs. It was a blast!
Definitely need to hear Thunder kiss '65. So many great White/ Rob Zombie tracks to discover.
If you're going to do Rob Zombie, you have to do "Thunderkiss '65". It has such a nasty riff. 🤘😎
Yes to Thunderkiss 65 next
Rob Zombie is the Lead singer of "White Zombie". The band broke up and he started a solo career afterwards. He also has directed a couple of horror movies and the line "More Human than Human" is a quote from Blade Runner.
Guys, Rob Zombie is singing. He's the vocalist. He's in your face all video.
I used to frequent a nightclub in Johannesburg called "The Doors" back in the late 90`s and into the early 2000`s and this track would absolutely fill the dance floor,, on a decent sound system this track is AMAZING!!!
Rob Zombie is the lead singer of White Zombie. That was him singing. A very young Rob Zombie, but none the less him. White Zombie started in the mid 80's and Rob Zombie didn't go solo until the end of the 90's I believe. I saw White Zombie play a bunch of times at the Palladium in Hollywood. Amazing shows with brilliant mosh pits.
I can only imagine the mosh pit at a wz show!!
@@Guildofarcanelore I lived in the pit at shows. I feel bad for the younger generations today because most of their music sucks in my opinion. And kids can't get away with the things we could because cameras are everywhere. Everyone needs some rebellious rock, punk rock, metal music in their lives. It kept us all from being sheep.
Was a respectful pit. Hard to mosh with Sean right there...
White Zombie was the band formed in the 80's by Rob Zombie and his then-gf Sean Yseult (bass)... They had a few indie releases before they were signed in 1992 by Geffen Records (Nirvana, Guns N' Roses, Tesla's label) w/ J. Yuenger (guitar) in the band and had a hit record ("La sexorcisto") that year w/ the MTV hit single "Thunder Kiss '65"... 🔥🔥🤘🤘
John Tempesta (drums) joined White Zombie in 1994 and the band released 'Astro Creep 2000' in 1995... and 'More human than human' became another MTV hit and the album sold platinum and White Zombie toured into 1996, even opening for Pantera.
Rob Zombie was becoming more disenchanted w/ White Zombie as a band by '96... the band complained that some tracks on 'Astro Creep 2000' did not even have the band playing. Rob and Sean had broken up, and Rob was dating model/actress Sheri Moon (who became his wife)... Rob admitted that once the last White Zombie tour ended, he walked offstage and was done w/ the band.
In 1997, Rob Zombie performed solo for the first time at Howard Stern's movie premiere for 'Private Parts'... and his first solo album 'Hellbilly deluxe' was released in 1998 and outsold White Zombie's records (3 million copies in the US)... Rob is friends w/ Alice Cooper and credited the shock rocker in encouraging him to move forward as a solo artist (Alice Cooper's original band broke up in 1974 and he emerged w/ a new backing band in 1975)
Ok. My ROCK OUT pump up songs…
- Pantera “Walk”
- Danzig “Mother”
- Tool “Sober”
- Filter “Hey man, nice shot”
- Skid Row “Youth Gone Wild”
(also Gen-X anthem lol)
- Helmet “Unsung”
AND Queensrÿche “Silent Lucidity” - which is just a beautiful masterpiece ❤
*White Zombie (Thunder Kiss 65)*
Oh man this takes me back to 90's underground club days. Nine Inch Nails and Zombie were mainstays on the dance floor. You guys should check out "Stupid Girl" by Garbage
Rob Zombie is a damn genius! love his movies too! you gotta watch "house of 1000 corpses" and "the devils rejects". amazing movies!
The devil's rejects is so good
Rob Zombie is the vocalist of White Zombie. That's him without the horror makeup. This was before Rob Zombie went solo. White Zombie formed in the mid 80s but their first commercially successful album came in 1992 with La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One. The song you two listened to is from the mid 90s. I recommend doing the White Zombie song Thunder Kiss '65 next. Rob Zombie named the band after a 1932 horror movie starring Bela Lugosi called White Zombie.
_More human than human_ is a line taken by the late actor, Rutger Hauer playing the character of _Roy Batty_ (a rogue artificial being, or *"replicant"* as the film refers to them) in the classic sci-fi _Blade Runner_ (1982) film.
The band came first. Then he went solo. Rob is the vocalist
Love Rob Zombie!!!!
Rob Zombie was the lead singer. The band was formed in the late '80s, and split up in the late '90s when Rob went solo. Some other good songs from White Zombie are Thunder Kiss '65 and Black Sunshine.
Gotta agree w/ many comments here. Thunder Kiss 65 has to be next! And Rob Zombie is the lead singer/founder of White Zombie!
I actually prefer White Zombie to Rob solo Rob is the vocalist he does all the singing he looks perhaps like he showered a little more often back then
After a bath he is known as Clean Zombie 😂😂😂😂
La Sexorcisto is by far one of the best albums to ever grace the planet. Everything on that album is phenomenal!
Probably what has thrown you is that, White Zombie was his band before he went solo, it's off the album 'Astrocreep 2000', Rob Zombie was the lead singer in this, he isn't in his make up and is a fair bit younger.
Great choice! The next White Zombie song to check out is Thunder Kiss '65!
This band is what made Rob Zombie. And this song was their last hit together before Rob went solo. If you want to hear the song that put White Zombie on the map check out "Thunderkiss '65". To this day it's still my favorite song that Rob or the band ever put out. It's a definite banger and I'm positive both of you will love it.
As for this song and video... Rob is the guy singing. The video is weird and all over the place because that's Rob's aesthetic. Keep in mind Rob has a facination with Carnie culture (carnival freaks and county fair patrons) and B horror movies. Again guys, I can't recommend "Thunderkiss ''65" enough.
I bet Rob Zombie subs to the channel on here where they revamped the old 70s show Creature Features. Now with hosts Vincent, Livingston and Tangella. All they play is the kind of B movies right up Rob's alley.
Amber just needs to look deepmwithin herself and realize what we all knew. She low-key a major metal head lol.
It's Rob Zombie singing, you'll love Thunder Kiss 65 and Supercharger Heaven
Rob Zombie sang the whole song, lol. White Zombie was his band before he went solo, this song came out in 1995. I would suggest Thunderkiss 65, Electric head part 1 , and for a laid back trippie vibe try Blood Milk and Sky
So much fun to see WZ live
This song is pretty heavy into Bladerunner
.....I am the Nexus one....
But I like _Supercharger Heaven_ more
Not sure how Jay doesn't recognize Rob Zombie as being Rob Zombie, lol. Kinda frustrating. Its Obviously his voice!
I think Jay was distracted due to being a Cincinnati Bengals fan & Joe Burrow being 🤕 hurt yesterday.
@@philburton2223 probably, lol
That was so bizarre!
Waiting to see and hear someone that's looking into the camera singing.
I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone.😊
Loved the Gillman cameo!😍😂🤣❤️.
Rob is the godfather of my coworker's daughter. He used to be the guitar tech for him.
White Zombie is so much better than anything Rob has done solo. His solo stuff is like a watered down PG-rated version of White Zombie.
I like both
