Hey Taff, couldn't you just have bailed? The objective was right at the front line, so there was a chance you would have gotten to friendly territory without being captured :) BTW: You could also try a career with Pat Wilson's Campaign Generator (aka. PWCG)
There wasnt too much action in the series, but thats how it was in World War 2, people flew a couple easy ones and suddenly never come back. The Ending to this series gives a whole other impression if you think about how some lives actually ended like that in split second.
That mission was epic, didn't anticipate that ending though, almost like Alfie West got added to the flight crew at the last minute 😭 Great little series!
@@TheFunnyoldman agreed, the A-20B Havoc/Boston (it had two named dependent on the nation) is one of the more underrated Multirole aircraft of the second world war.
Thank you for the bomber action. Not as action packed as the fighters, but I loved the series. Hope to see another one, maybe an A-20 career or an mc202.
Cool series Taff, made a nice change. Problem with these kind of bomber missions is, if your fighter escort does its job, not much happens. But if it doesn't or is overwhelmed, and you come under heavy fighter attack, in a He-111 you are probably doomed! Compared to fighter missions, you are much less in control of your own destiny. I like the idea of a Soviet career next. A Hurricane would be good too. Keep up the good work!
Why did your plane roll like that ? The AI pilot didn't seem to try and save the aircraft at all. Well it was a create great and epic series. Maybe one day you can try the Ju 88.
@@jamesrussell7760 I mean when he was in the manning the gun. The AI pilot just et the her roll like that. He 111 can take some serious damage but his death was the fault of the auto pilot. I bet if Taff was not on the gun when he took the first few hits to the wing he would not let her roll into the dive.
Not sure if this is right but the 1800kg and 1000kg are externally mounted so you might be able to get some bombs in the bomb bay as well as big bombs, not sure if thats right but you should give it a try.
Taff, I don’t know if you’ve seen it or not, but Tony Robinson did a series called ‘Blitz Street.’ Pretty interesting show about the power of German WWII bombs. You can find the series here on youtube...well you can here in the US anyway.
You didn´t get the idea. Wide spread small targets like trucks and machine guns: small bombs for maximum effect. Single big targets like a bridge or building: big bombs for maximum effect. When the small circle appears, you have an aiming help which you are constantly ignoring. No aerobatics with a heavy plane. No controls: bail out!
Looking at that bombers, you can really say that this things need much more firepower onboard against fighters. Or more planes in the formation. I enjoyed your game and must admit that you're quite good shooter.
I liked how the music is leading up to save only for that hope to disappear, and the final moments through the eyes of the pilot definitely let out some emotion, too. (moment of silence) ... So with that out of the way, are going to do the P-47 career?
A Soviet campaign could be fun. Maybe to stick with bombers, try out the A-20 or better yet, the Pe-2. The A-20 will likely end up quick like the He-111, but the Pe-2 is pretty zippy.
i think you should just go down the list of aircraft you had everyone vote on. The runner up should be next and then 3rd highest after that, so on and so forth.
I don't know this game that well yet, but why did you not bail your crew? You saw the end coming for a mile away, more than enough time for everyone to jump out no?
Yeah, he should have baled the crew out. After all they were behind friendly lines, but maybe Taff forgot he wasn't playing as Alfie West in his Sopwith Pup! (no parachutes in a Sopwith Pup), but in the name of deeds of daring do, thought he could fly an uncontrollable aircraft back to base for tea and medals!
You lost a good chunk of your tail (as you know). So nothing really you could have done. Great series yet again even though it was short. Also, didn't you do a Soviet Spitfire or Warhawk (I can't remember which) series a while back?
Bomber evasion AI is non existent . Slight climb then slight dive is better than nothing. plus give more height lead when firing at attacking fighter. Oooopsie.
So... this might be a stupid question... but why didn't you attempt to bail out the moment you realized the controls weren't responding? You had definitely recieved combat damage, why didn't you assume the control surfaces were damaged and hit the silk? And yes, a soviet career would be really fun, maybe an attacker like the Sturmovik? Do the game's missions use the Peshka as a dive bomber/ A-20 as an attacker or are they "just" frontline level bombers?
Taff I have Watched you Deliberate over your Bomb Sight, over and over, What is FUNNY is that it does not mater one bit, as you are not the flight lead and you do not decide when to drop bombs you are dropping on the flight leads order and in Formation so when he drops you drop does not matter what your sight is set at.
Could you not tell your crew to bail out? Bummer...was a good run...but those dang bullets sure tore up your plane And then you had to go wreck some blokes back yard....
Well, I hope that everyone enjoyed the series, but let's face it, a bomber is just a fat target. The AI allocated how many escorts? A single flight of 4 Bf-109s? No way an adequate escort force. If that's the way the game is set up then doing another bomber series will again be short. If you do a P-38 or P-47 series, you should have a nice mix of mission types.
I enjoyed this series as much as you say you did Taff. Was refreshing to see bombers for a change. Looking forward to the next one already.
That sucks,I really loved this serie
11:41 Ah yes... the *PROP STOP NOW* landing technique... nice to see it executed in such a professional manner by Nikolai there. 😃

A ju-87 or Il-2 Campaign would be cool
That mission was epic, didn't anticipate that ending though, almost like Alfie West got added to the flight crew at the last minute 😭 Great little series!
Ju-88 would definitely be cool. The crew operation and stuff makes the video really interesting
Hurricane career would definitely be appreciated. Although there's the A-20B, Ju-88 and Pe-2 as options too.
My vote would be for the A-20B. Really underrated plane that.
@@TheFunnyoldman agreed, the A-20B Havoc/Boston (it had two named dependent on the nation) is one of the more underrated Multirole aircraft of the second world war.
I want ju 88,very sick aircraft

Mc 202 would be fun.
To be honest, this has been one of the most enjoyable series on the channel.

Go down with the aircraft or bailout and spend the war in Russian prisoner camp. Loved this series!
RIP to that poor shack you nailed at the end...lol.

@little jimmy, the elevators on Taff's bomber were shot away. When that happens the plane is uncontrollable.

What an intense vid Taff!
Love the music you added
Stuka. Stuka. Stuka.
Not a lot you could do about that Taff. IL-16 shot big holes in your rudder to begin your fatal dive. Then everything fell off.
At least you took out that farm building when you went in lol.
Stickin' it to the enemies food production lol
Gonna starve 'em out
You have posthumously been awarded the Darwin Award
Good choice of music. Yoy really injected drama and emotion in to the fight.
R.I.P Joseph.

I got an ad right at the moment you were going in. Bloody etoro
Well, at least the crew went out with a bang! (I'll see myself out)
Gonna miss this series. Fun to see a bomber pilot
"AND SCREW THIS HOUSE IN PARTICULAR"
The musical timing was perfect
I really enjoyed this series and would like to see more with the bombers!
great vid. well made bro.
At least you took out a house at the end.
Pe2 Pe2 Pe2 Pe2 Pe2!!!!!!!!! Pretty please with sugar n sprinkles on???
Loving your videos. This was a very unexpected sad end to a budding career. :`( May I suggest a Ju-88 career next? Keep up the good work.
Very good thank you.....(Hurricane....)
To bad this serie is already ending I like this
Sad to see this series cut short, maybe the next one could be either an Stuka or an HS129 career.
Taff, I don’t know if you’ve seen it or not, but Tony Robinson did a series called ‘Blitz Street.’ Pretty interesting show about the power of German WWII bombs. You can find the series here on youtube...well you can here in the US anyway.
Thanks, I'll check it out
Hope you try the HE111 again, love the look of that bomber.
Well that was quite the resistance you received on that mission.
And man you just got so unlikely at the last moment.

Cool upload mate 👍
Man, that's a shame. I was really enjoying this.
I would love to see you do an A-20 campaign
i think frank spencer was flying the plane lol
Looking at that bombers, you can really say that this things need much more firepower onboard against fighters. Or more planes in the formation. I enjoyed your game and must admit that you're quite good shooter.
He could have chosen the 20mm on his belly side but not sure if it would have been worth its extra weight in this situation. Probably not.
And the Steamie for best cinematography goes too.........................
TAFF!!!! He is unable to accept his award because he is in exile.
Really enjoyed this, have binge watched it all. What set up do you have for gaming?
Will you do any of the other planes in the big poll you did?
FINALLY MORE BOMBS
Would like to see a P-38 career!
Ripped off the elevator and ailerons of course you’d have no control
Maybe try the Vickers Wellington for a career, if it's in game yet.
Hei Taff Any chance to start a new Career in Il-2 ? Bf 110 , He 111 anything you like bomber specialty.
Were you not able to bail out? Sad to see this series end, but looking forward to the next.
I liked how the music is leading up to save only for that hope to disappear, and the final moments through the eyes of the pilot definitely let out some emotion, too.

Maybe try to do that Bridgebuster mission, the one from Mark Felton.

Hmm Soviet career eh? I might have to watch "The Attackers" again for some brushing up.
Well you got some poor smucks house

G forces make bailing out near impossible when pulling those kind of manoeuvres
Aaaah.
@@TaffinExile I have not yet played this game but if I was playing this instead of you, I would have given bail out order to crew at about 17:23

better to go quick than slave in a gulag
RIP the poor russian farmer that got a HE111 in his bedroom
Soviet Hurricane - combine them all!!!
More bombers.

Yeah. The escorts basically handed the heads of him and his squadron mates to the enemy fighters on a platter.
Death was a fitting punishment for the awful soundtrack.
Really boring song. No song would be better.
