    I'd love to have one of these and that boat that he's in- which make/model Lund is that? I'm getting to the age where I'd like to have a boat for me and the grandkids to put the hurt on some walleyes on the Mississippi, and turn around and head up to Ottertail county or over to Big Stone, or Enemy Swim (SD), as well as trolling around some of our local lakes.

      This boat appears to be a Lund Alaskan model from 2020. Check out www.lundboats.com/ for more information and similar models available!

    Hey Mercury, what about safety if you hit an underwater obstruction. What will keep motor from going hard over if hit an obstruction? Seems like some sort of hydraulic option should be part of the tiller series.

    • @MercuryMarine
      @MercuryMarine  6 місяців тому

      Depending on the model, the outboard may be equipped with a hydraulic trim and tilt system that also contains a shock absorbing feature. This feature helps the outboard withstand damage in the case of impact with an underwater object at low to moderate speeds. At higher speeds, the force of the impact may exceed the system’s ability to absorb the energy of the impact and cause serious product damage.
      We always recommend boaters reduce speed and proceed with caution whenever you drive a boat in shallow water areas or in areas where you suspect underwater obstacles may exist that could be struck by the outboard or the boat bottom. The most significant action you can take to help reduce injury or impact damage from striking a floating or underwater object is to control the boat speed. Under these
      conditions, boat speed should be kept to the minimum planing speed, typically 24 to 40 km/h (15 to 25 mph).

    The 40+ hp motors still made in China?

    • @duckslayerbuckslayer321
      @duckslayerbuckslayer321 4 роки тому +1

      Only the 40-60 HP outboards are made in China. Anything bigger is made in Fond du lac Wisconsin.

    This is way over complicating a tiller handle outboard, and way too expensive.

    • @omieyouknowme
      @omieyouknowme Рік тому

      It's cheaper than the older big tiller and less complicated actually. I added heated grip and it makes a huge diff as I fish year round
