    My handle just showed up too!! This handle is a major upgrade over the last one for sure, and with heated option coming this fall will make it even better!!

      I think so to. I'm gonna get on the water tomorrow. Only thing I question is the trim turns with the throttle. I think it will be fine though.

    I have the previous Big tiller. I like this one but the trim switch is a deal breaker for me. I am constantly adjusting trim and that just isn’t cool to me.

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  3 роки тому

      Same here I am constantly trimming. I have gotten used to it. Not a big deal anymore. But for sure different and I would had rather they left that part the same.

      @@DennisBohannan how much did the new arm cost? By the way, I have a 60 and they did offer a optional rpm adjuster which I have but on the 60hp and below it only drops to about 600rpm so it doesn’t do much at all. On the higher hp motors it could drop the rpm to something like 350 rpm so it would really help when trolling etc.

      @@AdventuresOutdoors seems like it was mid $900. Also with the jet the troll function does really help much at all. I do use it time to time.

    I’m sure I saw a vid with a Mercury rep in it saying you can swap it.

    Did your boat have the basic tiller to begin with?

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  10 місяців тому +1

      No, just the original big tiller. This tiller is actually called advanced tiller.

    Why a tiller steer over a steering wheel

    • @DennisBohannan
      @DennisBohannan  3 роки тому

      Several reason. Keeps more space in the boat. Console takes a lot of room.
      Way faster steering and throttle response. Which is must needed in tricky situations.
      I can stand up and drive for better visibility.
      Lighter
