    The Troutbitten Fish and Film series continues with Josh and Trevor on a night fishing trip. It's hard to find good fishing buddies, and it's even harder to find ones that will fish at night. But these guys have logged more night hours together than most anglers will put in over a lifetime.
    Night fishing around here is tough. There are no freebies, and nothing comes easy. So it's good to see a couple large fish come to the net for this video.
    Enjoy this short film with good fishing friends. Also, check it out to see the recipe for the Bad Mother Night Fly.

    Great timing releasing this. Now I'm even more hyped for tonight. In an hour and a half the kids are going down to bed. Then I am heading up my to vice to tie up a couple flies inspired by your stuff, then I'm heading down to the river.
    I'll be wet wading so I don't sweat half to death like Trevor though.
    Also, thanks for inspiring me to get a backpack kid carrier to take my toddlers fishing with me. It just showed up today. Next day that I have off that isn't too hot for the tykes, I'm taking one out with me.

      Ha. Nice. Water is too cold around here, with about 55-60 air temps too. I can't handle it, so I never wet wade at night. I also like that extra feeling of protection against the unseen. Trevor was probably just wearing wool. Ha.
      Good luck out there.

      @@Troutbitten I am a creature of cold. Once the water temp starts with a 5 and the air temp starts with a 6, I'm good and the waders get hung up until around Halloween. It's great because my waders last forever.

    Wonderfully produced video, start to finish. I loved the mid-video punch out to Dom for a brief explanation of what the fellas are using and how to tie it. The Troutbitten products (podcasts, videos, and web content) are truly separating you guys from the “pack”. Can’t wait for season 8 to learn a lot more about what I just watched.

    "buttery brown, toad, pig of a fish". All I kept thinking was the quote, "You Either Die A Hero, Or You Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villain." Bahahaha, great video guys, you represent PA well.

    Such a good video, guys. Well done. Question: Would you say one needs to be at a higher-than-average skill level with regard to traditional day fishing BEFORE attempting night fishing, or not necessarily? You're probably going to answer this in the night fishing episode ...

    Saw that Josh carries chameleon and amnesia on a tippet holder. Are you rebuilding leaders that often? Super curious about that gear decision. Nice fish! Love seeing a night fishing video.

    • @wildsmedia
      @wildsmedia Рік тому +3

      The terminal section of our rigs on most of these night outings is between 10-15lb. The amnesia was a substitute for my 10lb chameleon which I was out of at the time. 🤙🏼 wouldn’t necessarily recommend the amnesia for that purpose.

      Hi there. Yeah red light sold them too, but not as much. We use red light to preserve night vision, or even we have to get around or tie knots.
