@@FishinNStuff I take the double hooks out of frogs and put a single wire weedless hook down. I ordered 18 frogs for $15 bucks on Amazon. Five of them had 1.5 inch bodies. Bass hammer those little frogs. Hook ups improve X 5 with the down hooks. . Im just sayin.👍

Picked up a Christmas special” at lowes last year. Safety glasses with a pair of small lights that clip to the glasses.
Discovered that the lights clip perfectly on the side bill of a cap. Works great. Best part is that you can clip them under the bill, or on top, and you can use one or two. Two works the best for me.
Plus, you get some safety glasses too.

When you use glow sticks with kayaking, add a speaker playing inside your kayak vibrating the water will cause fish to jump in your kayak. Don’t care if you believe me or not but try it and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I made one of those lights with your video and used it Saturday night in saltwater at a bridge. It worked great it brought a lot of different white baits. I had to hang a couple 1 ounce weights on it for it to sink in the current better and a decent size grouper came up and hit the weights lol. I also used a 20v max dewalt battery to power the light with an adapter and a 12v step down.

I'm so happy that you posted this on here tonight. I've been knowing that I have been missing something each week and this is what it was, you know that tho already don't you. Because it's time to get all our fishing stuff together and making new an cool things we need to take with us to teach others who never been fishing before. I have equal amount of fun coming up with new an cool gadgets for fishing as I do to take new people out taking them fishing and getting them hooked on fishing as well. An if you are fishing in the wide open ocean, if you don't have a chum bag to hang into the water, we turn on our radios to let the fish know we are there. They hear music and come back to check it out and find food on a hook for them. I have loved going fishing since I was a little kid tripping over everything in Tennessee, but we moved to Missouri and I learned how to walk better because we figured out my legs was to short with my big feet. Hahaha. When I was only 4 or 5 years old I could set up my my own line and have it in the water before the rest of my family could, even if I started a cleaned line. Then that man vs woman rules started up for my family since I was the only boy with 4 sisters. When we get to fiver the guys or males must by our new family law hook up and bait all the girls polls first before they set their own fishing polls up. I set their poles up as if I was going to use it. My crooked father the shirt time he stayed there just after that, he had a huge fishing hook that would gag a fish if that fish was able to get it I to it's mouth at all on several of my sister's lines, they wasn't able to catch fish like we were, they had to wait for a huge 5 foot long catfish. To piss him off, and I loved doing that because the pain he give me would leave my body by morning. I'd piss him off I'd change the size to the correct size and I would tell momma the difference between the two hooks, an id slip away from the group with momma's permission to piss off the old man because he would have to add the worms to the girls hooks or momma did. I'd come walking back to them about a hour or so later an first thing I'd hear, boy your getting a good hard spanking for running off. Then momma says I told him he could walk down around that bend to see if the lake or river grass was any better than down here. An I had caught so many fish I knew I would have to clean them all after we got home. I was in kindergarten still, I clearly remember much back then. But I taught my mom and sisters how to set up their poles and I made it mandatory we always used a swivel in our set up so when our line got reeled back up and put in our reel it wasn't twisted. That saves the life of the line by half. I'm so happy that I found outer people on this planet who love going fishing as much as I do. But since I just got home from the hospital Again 2 weeks ago, I'm still going to get my grandchildren to enjoy it. I'm wheelchair bound still for a while longer so what's the next best thing, that's building your own slingshots and using bike spokes for your arrows with the points at tips so fish can't get free an the line attached to the bow where you can remove the reel to rewind it. I just love fishing. But about 6 or 7 years ago I was forced to sell my boat, and I did it 100 % correct. Everything I bought for it I sent it all with it. That man was so excited to see and get that stuff. Right is Right and Wrong is wrong. People have teased me since I was a teenager, if I ever won the lottery I would give it all away in the first few months then be poor again. But you know if you don't have any money to give out because you gave it all away. You'll still have a few say to you how stupid you was for helping all those people who doesn't care about you and that I was stupid for helping so many with their dreams when others just wanted to get high and lied to me why they needed money. But truth be told tho, once I said I was done with giving out money because I was broke. Their attitude changed in a huge way worth recording to show how nice people can be at the start vs the opposite side at end. I say I'm broken but I'd have millions of dollars hidden back they never knew about nor knew anything for my huge boat that I've dreamed of hacking to take friends and family out to fish and vacation on all over the open seas. While the people who cussed me are sitting in a tiny boat you can rent by the hour sees me and asks me who's boat is that, I reply back and say this is the first thing I bought with my money for 10 million dollars and set it up perfectly for me and my family and friends. An no you are not ever going to be a friend because you said I was a gullible stupid idiot. I know you don't know but that was a test and 95 % of you failed. Greed and stupidity are your traits. I just hope your children don't get those traits from you or they will be same as you. .......
Anyways, I think you have a number one channel on here to teach love and hundreds of fishing tricks and ways5 to others. An if you see an older person fishing an not having much luck, an if you have a extra good size fish on your stringer then please share the food with your fellow human beings. Years ago in town at one of our city parks called the, Lions Club Park. In Rolla Missouri, they would get 3 to 6 loads of alive cat fish of different sizes within two days and we loved to go catch them. Now ever since I was a child I was not healthy enough to eat it because once I'd swallow the meat I'd be rushed into the hospital not able to get air nor breathing. But I loved to fish and I showed the other people there how to move the wet leaves over to catch those super fast worms called night crawlers. Then we would set it teaching them how to fish. There were some really old people who refused to change the way the have always fished an unless they fished in a pond where they didn't feed the fish for these groups of people I don't know any other way they could have reeled any in. I enjoyed fishing and giving away fish to others who were going to clean an cook them for their family. That truly makes me smile inside of my heart. Teach a person to fish and he can feed himself and his family all during his life. And share the Love for fishing, hunting, helping others and just to help your neighbor who might have a tree in their roof and no business of them being up there, so please help them with that. Right. Don't let them get hurt because they will. Ok I love you guys an so glad you posted a new video for us. Thank you my buddy

I use a 12 vdc underwater led light designed to replace your boat's drain plug. I've also been running the same light for about 5 years as a pool light off a motorcycle battery and trickle charger. I think the company is JAL and under $40 in different colors. I live on saltwater and use a green Deep Glow HPS light that sits on the bottom and shines up along with a dock pole mounted regular amber 120 watt HPS exterior house light fixture shining down in the water. For saltwater use i believe blue lights are best for offshore blue water fishing and the green is better for inshore brackish or water that isn't very clear. About 50 years ago we lived on a lake and used a regular automotive style trouble light submerged off the dock along with old hay bales. The light never blew a breaker and the crappie would come to the light and pick insects off the bales.

I don't really think a fishing light matters on color. I've seen white , green both work. We used to use a Coleman light off the side of the boat, good but gets HOT. We've even used the lights, with long cord while bank fishin.

Bugs aren't attracted to yellow light the way they are with white light. You can also use purple or blue transparent vinyl to make a poor man's black light, it's not perfect but it's cheap.

At my local tackle store (and most places I've seen), glo-sticks for fishing are about $1.50 each. Go to a dollar store and I get them 50 for $2.
Fishing in saltwater most of my life I've seen red, blue, greeen and white lights under boats and docks. No idea if any work better, but they all work to some degree. Yellow lights tend to attract less bugs than white light.

I made a night fishing light that uses the rear anchor light socket and works awesome. I used an old anchor light and cut the bottom end off so I had the connector end. I attached that inside a cheap telescopic car wash pole and attached a cheap nilight brand 6 led off road light to it. It pulls very little power and lights up the whole boat and the rods when crappie fishing. It goes from 4 to 8 ft on the air.

Late to the party, but you can use fluorescent tape, heat shrink, enamel paint, or even zip ties to make your rods more visible under black light
After seeing your green light and this, I'm super curious if an underwater blacklight would make fluorescent baits any more effective. Probably not because they're uni-directional, but it'd be fun to test and I'll take any excuse to fish these days... saves me from my crippling shooting and gun purchasing addiction. Lol.

Hey brother night fisherman. Is there a good all around color for my boat interior lights that won’t attract bugs and won’t blind the fisherman too?

Walmart used to have a pretty good rechargeable headlamp with a uv light that I would set up for my rods. Also team catfish had some pretty good glow in the dark tape that I would put little strips of on my rod tips and parts of my reels and the bobbers I setup for when a fish picks up the bait and runs towards you to light them up at night. Check out rod pods as well. Game changer for bank fishing. I made one up out of tool hangers and PVC with uv and glow in the dark paint for night fishing on the banks.

In the UK now, you have to use blue lights, because red and and green are navigational lights.

Fairly new to the channel and I've watched the majority of your "DIY" and "Hacks" videos and i love them all, "You know what I'm saying!?" I also love your Hellcat combos and was wondering where you found matching line for your rods?

Those "cool blue" white led lights that you see in everything might help you see better but they attract bugs. If you can find "warm" white led lights they might seem dimmer to your eyes they don't attract near the bugs to your light.
Warm white is also closer to natural sunlight so colors of baits are truer.

My guy, my spinning rods do click. I set my drag light to hear it. I have one spincast that is very very quiet. I plan to get a hell cat but I love the profishency brand. What do you recommend for real size on the hellcat medium rod Or medium heavy?

I have a very similar light to that Hyper Tough light, I think the brand I have is Dorcy.
I've tried using it before at night, but I have this weird flickering effect on my camera when I use it. I think it has a lot to do with the frame rate, what framerate are you using on your camera?
I think I have mine set on 1080p at 30fps, I just notice you don't have that flicker from that light.
