Run one of the lines above the fill height of the coal generators and then connect it back to itself below them and you can pressurize the entire system with a single pump, even pressurize all 3 lines if you manifold them all together. It works like a water tower and works with any fluid in satisfactory! Pumps don't actually provide pressure, only gravity provides pressure in Satisfactory. Once you realize how simple it is it'll completely change how you view fluids. All those pumps hurt my soul! I've pressurized 120 turbo fuel generators fully overclocked with a single pump. It really works! :)
so... as someone who doesn't completely understand pipes, this means pumps work in relation to gravity, which means if working with an incline, the pump should be placed as close to the connector as possible to provide maximum lift?
@@moonstenebrocity yes. you want the fluids to go up close to the machines creating the fluids, but you want to place the pump after the first junction and on the line going vertical. also you want to connect it back to itself after the buffer creating the loop. lastly the height of the buffer needs to be above the inlet of the machines you're trying to feed. Fluid buffer | | pump->|| | | | fluid----+----+----+++manifold edit: you can use a single line to pressurize multiple lines as long as they're all the same fluid. just make sure when you manifold them together its after the down side.
If you don't need either of the hard drive scan results yet, its worth not selecting either. The 2 unselected options are removed from the pool for new hard drives you scan so you get a better chance of getting the good ones.
The "Temp" nodes are the one displayed on your compass to show that a couple nodes are too close to tell apart on the compass. I'm not sure why they put it on the map, though. Once you get close enough to see the directions apart, they disappear.
bits just wait with hooking powerlines to the coal plants and have a single waterpump fill the pipe system. then when primed you can hook up the coal plants and avoid the power surge and then fire up the last pumps. coal plants will start up if a power line is connected to them even if its not connected to anything else.
You should definetly let the buffers fill before switching the coal generators on (let them disconnected or switch the coal generator off). Always fill the water in all pipes at 100% so that you won't have to deal with unstable power.
I'm skipping coal power. Got a 880mw biofuel plant so far and almost done with tier 4. Loving the belt fed biomass burners. I tend clear cut areas and end up with a bunch of biofuel so now it gets used!
I don't know if your question has been answered yet, but the fifth coal noade on the map said "temp" in the description. I guess I was showing some coal vein on the ground or on top of a node.
Every time I boot up Satisfactory again after being away for a while, loading the current game I'm running on I have not a single clue on where I was, what I was doing, why I was doing it, where anything goes and what anything does. My excuse for starting a new game this time as certainly not that but because of the release of 1.0.
I’ve done that so many times. Then I’ll find some small little weird build glitch somewhere and think, “ok maybe I can fix that one thing so it doesn’t bug me…” Then 3 days later I come up for air and I’ve added some new complicated monstrosity to my existing monstrosities. Feel pride. Then burnout. And time for another break lol.
Watching Bitz reset the power breaker repeatedly brings back some haunting memories jump starting power plants when early access first came out. 😅 ld have half started the coal plant instead of the whole thing at once, or just one pump and 6 plants then bring the next pump and plants online, etc
YOU CAN DO MATH IN THE FICSIT SEARCH BAR?!? I've had a calculator either pulled up on my phone or on my second monitor since I started getting more into balancing and flow rates, I am so glad I found your channel!
For the Coal Generator bug you don't need to reconnect the belts, just need to open the Generator UI with coal in the inventory ant it will work perfectly normal forever* * or at least until you open it again without any coal
I had a couple coal generators bug out as well. I never opened their UI prior to the first time it happened. After reconnecting the belt, they would start taking items and stop when I placed the previous item stack I took out back in. Thinking it was a corrupted item stack, I deleted them after I got the generators working again. It got hotfixed the next day, so no idea what the actual problem was, but it should be ok now.
yeah specially now when they are not a consumable. before it was easy to forget to equip a new one after each use and caused alot of high speed faceplants.
I just started watching my favorite UA-cam peeps videos of 1.0 after making some solid progress myself, and Bitz....after seeing you doing daisy chains, I'm about to redo all the wiring in my factories. No more spider web ceilings for me!
The Coal UI bug gets me over and over again. Nearly everytime I go to my Power plant one of the generators just stops and I gotta fiddle with the UI and Belts until its up again
you being down in the gulge with the natives trying to hit you just reminded me of back in update 3 when in multiplayer if any player killed a large spitter the non host clients game crashed xD
Whuf - yeah, the GREAT NODE NERF is impacting my plan for sure. They weren't kidding when they said they spread everything out and calmed the nodes' purity down
should of kept those steel pipes you could of made the dimensional storage already. You can actually build before you even build the space elevator you just need about 750 sam ore (node at crater lake) and like 225 steel pipes (there are 2 crash sites I know of that have 115+ each) , all the sam stuff for the storage is craftable in the craftbench no need for a manufacturer either.
While you unlock the resources for the Augmenter at tier 5, you can build it before then if you find the right resources when collecting hard drives. That's what I was able to do.
lol i stayed on biomass until i had the stuff to set up my bigger coal plant of 80 coal generators over by the lake and used the top of the building for major oil to fuel power all in the same building
I been enjoying the update... But it seems Lumin don't work anymore with the signs. I don't know if this something they going to fix, because I want that back.
there is no item teleportation for production purposes, unless you mean the dimensional depot, which just provides your inventory with building materials that you supply to specialized storage containers
I've been procrastinating setting up Steel in my save so much, I went out exploring and now have all alternate recipes for tiers 1-4. I've also been buying Steel Beams from the AWESOME Shop to complete phase 2 😂

is it me, or does ADA have a little more "sas" with 1.0?

Just finished my coal power plants last night. Used the 3 pure coal nodes near the craters to make 24 power plants, for 1800mw.

Biomass is too much hassle for me. Was fine with the belts early but once I get coal I only clear foliage that’s in the way of progress!

I started in the rocky desert and am making use of the new coal nodes they added to the top left of the map, 2 normal and 2 impure.

You should sink the SAM into the sink after you construct the fluctuator. It gives tons of tickets for almost no cost

Jump pads are about the most useless item in the game...
I mean yea overall they’re useless. But they’re still enjoyable to setup and goof around with.
They should make it overclockable so that you can get 2.5x more powerful in exchange for costing a lot more power
