Really? I was just about to go to the kitchen and try it. So in reality how long we looking at? And how hard is it for someone who kinda sucks at cooking ?
@@love.wildly.live.fearlessly well he said it takes 30 for baking. I would guess the heating of the mixture itself would take 10-15 too since you want it to heat to the right temperature. I would give it an hour to be comfortable.
@@love.wildly.live.fearlessly Including prep (30 minutes), cooking (1 hour), resting (5 minutes) and cooling time (20 minutes), just under 2 hours at the fastest. Most people, I included, like to have it cool at least 4 hours to overnight so your mileage may vary. In all honestly, I laughed and called BS when he said 5 minutes to prepare. 5 minutes to clean up afterwards, perhaps.
@Love.wildly.Live.fearlessly. it takes a while but it's really not complicated to make at all. Try it. I started making creme brulee because my fiancé loves it and I was surprised how easy it is.
It’s not overly complicated, and you definitely want to use a vanilla bean pod, NOT extract (it makes a huge difference) but it definitely takes like a whole day minimum with chilling times included. My hubby makes it now and then as a special treat
now why did my boy start this video by saying creme brulee only takes 5 minutes to make lmao. with chilling time it takes hours before this is ready to eat!
It takes wayyyyy more than 5 minutes of prep time/ active cooking. It’s really not a fair assessment of the time someone will actually spend making this recipe. I’d say there’s about 20 minutes of active prep and cooking for this recipe.
It's easy, but timing is crucial, thank you this quick video is perfect for reference when I get ready to make it, I'm really hoping I can use the high quality vanilla extract I have instead of the vanilla pod
Pro tip: you don’t need a vanilla pod. Vanilla extract will do. And yes this needs time to chill after baking. Put it in the fridge after baking. I usually make it in the morning/afternoon so it’s ready to eat by dinner Pretty simple in terms of steps tho. But definitely doesn’t take 5 min lol
That’s it? What?!? I could have been making crème brûlée this whole time!! I’ve had it once in my life and it’s Devine I am literally on my way to the kitchen right now!
“Only takes a few minutes to make and is super easy”
Pulls out vanilla bean pod
And 6 separated egg yolks
And bake for 30-40m
I wanted to try to make it but when i saw the vanilla i just quit no way
Nah, fam, this takes way more than 5 minutes to prepare unless you have a 3 person staff to assist.

I like chocolate souffle. I haven't had it in years.
I'm not a fan of flan style or custard desserts.
