I honestly didn’t think about how much I enjoy the exploration aspect that much weirdly enough. But you’re totally right. Even on replays I can’t help the urge to clear every room, collect every treasure, etc. just because it’s so enjoyable to do so!
Wonderful video Wilson! I plan to revisit the Village soon and I cannot wait to re experience it in all its grotesque glory. Sometimes a smaller play area can be so much more impactful than a sprawling map, RE series nails this every time.
Thanks so much, Spooly!! Lemme know what you think of the replay whenever you get around to it. I really enjoyed Village, cannot wait to see what direction they head with RE9. I'm totally with you, it's all about that quality over quantity. Hopefully, Capcom remembers that...
Always found the distinction between tangible vs. intangible rewards fascinating, but admittedly I've thought about that most often with more open-world games. Super interesting to see that perspective on RE Village! Love how you hone in on the open-endedness of not just the world, but the actual *play.* Great stuff as always!
Thanks as always, Arf! I'm right there with you. The ways in which games can encourage or discourage behavior is so interesting to me. I haven't really dug into too many open world games yet on the channel, but definitely intend to moving forward. Thanks for watching my friend, looking forward to your next video!
Recently, the same thing happened to me in Hades II, I just like to explore, collect, look at the game's art, and listen to its music in low or zero fear.
I love to hear that! I absolutely loved Hades; I haven't played the sequel yet (will wait for the full physical release), but I can't wait to do so. Maybe I'll make a video on it when I play it!
Ohhh yeah, Mr. X was intense. Did you play 7? That was the scariest entry for me. I'm definitely planning to create videos on some other RE games at some point.
Resident evil village is still amazing granted it inspired me to explore the other Resident Evils its still one of my absolute favorites at the moment. I don't feel though I've done the game justice though until I clear Village of Shadows and clear Resident Evil 7. That is one of my next projects.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I will say, I was a bit disappointed with Village of Shadows, but I *loved* Resident Evil 7. I hope you enjoy them! Thanks for watching the video :)

I'm right there with you! It's addictive :)

@@Wilson-108 Can't wait!
I wasn’t very scared playing this game because everything in it has a fatal lead allergy. But RE2 Remake? Mr. X really put the pressure on
