You can eat carbs, but just in moderation. As an Asian with pre diabetes, white rice is my weakness. Lately, I’ve been eating about five tablespoons worth of rice (actual spoon) and more veggies and protein. It makes a difference!
@@jacksycz ..which I guess is why the Omelette recipe calls for Lactose free cheese. I came to the comments section just to find this... :D we're all learning

It's true. I don't know why people think cheese it's not for diabetics. As long as you burn the fat ,you are ok. Having diabetes means exercise on daily basis. So,if you exercise you can surely have some fat 🙂
Totally true! Ive tested myself with a glucose monitor and I cannot handle any fruit except berries and avocados became it jacks up my blood sugar! And NO GRAINS! I’m already allergic to gluten for 20 years 😬so a little mozzarella cheese in my eggs is such a treat! I also love Parmesan cheese on my salads!

Nice content but permit me to add a little............................. For individuals with diabetes, a balanced diet rich in nutrient-dense foods can help manage blood sugar levels and overall health. Here are some foods that are generally considered beneficial for diabetic individuals: Non-Starchy Vegetables: Broccoli, leafy greens, bell peppers, cauliflower, and other non-starchy vegetables are low in carbohydrates and calories but high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Lean Protein Sources: Chicken, turkey, fish, tofu, legumes, and low-fat dairy products provide essential protein without significantly affecting blood sugar levels. Whole Grains: Oats, quinoa, brown rice, and whole grain bread or pasta are high in fiber and can be included in moderation to help manage blood sugar levels. Healthy Fats: Avocados, nuts, seeds, and olive oil contain heart-healthy fats that can help with satiety and overall health. Fruits: Berries, apples, citrus fruits, and other low glycemic index fruits in moderate portions can be part of a balanced diet. Legumes: Beans, lentils, and chickpeas are high in fiber and protein while having a relatively low glycemic index. Dairy Products: Low-fat or non-fat dairy options like Greek yogurt or skim milk provide protein and calcium without excessive amounts of added sugars. Herbs and Spices: Flavoring foods with herbs and spices can add taste without extra salt or sugar. I recommend the book below for more insight: a.co/d/58gWabw
I started on meat and veg but introduced beans, lentils, chickpeas etc. Add to stews, curries to bulk out or make mixed bean chilli with them, no meat. Have as a side instead of the usual potatoes, rice or pasta.
The only problem I have with all of this is I'm not a person who loves to be in the kitchen all the time I guess I just have to let go of that and be chained up in the kitchen cleaning cooking being there all the time
Okay so the first and the last pictures were shown in the cooking directions but the second and third were different 😕 Is there ingredients/directions in writing somewhere?
It takes a while to get used to how miniscule diabetic meals are. That woman made two burgers from less than 2 ounces of meat. That's like quarter scale of a normal burger
Why are all these recipes high on oxalates and give you kidney stones? Followed such dietary rules for over a year and needed surgery of 5.5 hours to get rid off a large stone.

These foods will certainly harm the liver, and cause heart diseases!!! If this is the diet that my dietician will give me, then, I'd rather continue to my Raw Vegan diet, which cures diabetes, and not just lower the blood sugar, but heal diabetes, itself!!!!My doctor kept on extracting blood from me for his tests, and these days, he kept on saying: it has been lower, it's because I'm fully raw!!!
Protein goes on height. Like for me I am 4.11ft I only have 50 grams of protein a day. My doctor checks my protein levels every 3 months. Yes too much protein can hurt your kidneys and give you a fatty liver.
