A+ for the officers/guys who volunteered their time to help with this camaro build. I wish there were more people like that in this country. I love and appreciate what all you guys do.
To hear Sergeant Miles say that it "made him feel like he was a kid again" brought tears to my eyes!!!! We just had the HOT ROD tour come through Burlington, NC on Sunday. And me, being 60 years old; I FELT LIKE A KID again seeing all these muscle cars rolling through our town. So many of these cars I haven't seen since I was a little kid!!!!
Just love how the show makers make such a dramatic statement about a little rust. That car is in amazing shape for its year and you could build a whole car outa a magazine. I guess the people who have no idea will enjoy it.
Barry is one of my favorite csr builfers. His super muscle cars are sophisticated and second to none. Really turns out nice cars like my cousin at Samson design and Troy Trepanier. Chip Foose is ranking up there to. What a show winning talent the mentioned builderd

In the past, Chevrolet were the cars to have. You are admiring the work of GM's golden age. Today, Chevrolet and all of GM, except Corvette, is a joke. GM should not even exist with Corvette just becoming a stand alone company. GM has made nothing worth owning for over fifteen years. I do not know how they stay in business.
I love how everything on these kinds of show is a catastrophic emergency that is a hair from ending the project... I don’t believe I’ve seen any of these ever just call it quits. It’s like everything always magically works out in the end
Yeah I thought it was odd that his camaro just ended up going for over twice the other one, which was definitely a steal. I'm wondering if it had something to do with the show.
If anyone sees this video he's screwed. especially with all those patches, I paid 15000 for mine had original paint one dime sized rust spot whole car. mine came from LA
Shows like this have really ruined the game of restoring wrecks. Every idiot thinks there rusted out car is worth 15000 because the bullshit sales go for 40,000 plus..
That is a really nice Camaro, And yes, the red Camaro was the best deal. But that silver monster car, has the horsepower to have lots of fun driving that car!!!
Several years ago (before the internet and eBay) I bought a 1969 Camaro X44 for $1,000. The car was in mint condition with 60k miles. Now, eBay and shows like this have really screwed up the vintage car market with over inflated prices. Additionally, everyone seems to think that they can buy one of these rusted cars (Camaro or other) and they can restore it, which is also driving up the prices of these vintage cars.
Agreed you see people spending ridiculous money on a car that 50,000 people bought new for $3,500 what I would love is to see a show that goes back and takes a look at what these cars look likes and what they go through 3 years later
thirsty for a new episode, Barry you and your team are the best, I watched many videos no one amazed me as you do please we are looking forward for new episodes 💗
I hate when the narrators have no idea what they are talking about... "The supercharger doesn't fit the engine block." Last I checked blowers don't mount to the engine block. It's the intake manifold that doesn't fit. It's like they make these shows for people who know nothing about cars.
I agree. Large diameter "clown wheels" just don't cut it in the looks dept. You just can't beat the look of the cool-looking, "old school" traditional look when it comes to wheels and tires. Now way, José.
this is the last episode I'm watching of this fake crap. always with a 4 week auction deadline. always 2 days to go and the engine don't start. drama queen crap. most of the cars they have are either red or orange. and never fails they always use the same type of wheels and tires. they're ugly. this is a nice camaro and with a nice color. with those wheels the whole thing is a fail. good luck to the rich guy who buys it. don't drive it if you want it to last.
These California guys make me laugh. Its entertaining to see them flip out over rust and very little at that in this case. Cowl side tank rust in the lower sections..thats typical. That is NOT rotted out by no means and the structural integrity of the body is not compromised.. They need to see the kinds of cars we have to work with out here in the east. That was actually a very solid straight car they started out with. And for only 6k, thats a steal for a 69 like that. Note how solid the front and rear windshield channels are with no rot out.. floors are still there. rockers are solid. trunk weather strip channels are solid.trunk to rear window panel is solid...Then they go on to replace what didn't need replacing with aftermarket panels, which never fit right without work anyway... Both doors and the entire front clip at least. He basically threw away a lot of what he initially bought. just because they didn't want to body work the original better fitting panels.
Same here, I've gotten some nice parts from California. They have it easier for sure. I just find it comical they will replace a whole solid floor panel with mild surface rust while out here, in my neck of the woods, a car of that vintage sitting in a wrecking yard or someones backyard or field for decades will have no floors at all..You'd be lucky if the rockers or floor braces are still there to attach new panels to.
+M McCain said: _"and for only 6k, thats a steal for a 69 like that."_ No stinking way was it worth $6200. No way, not for a plain-Jane Camaro, most likely a 307 cu. in. car. No way. Uh-uh.

greg hurt what wheels would look good on it?
The guy that had it knew exactly what he had.
In these builds the wheels are always too open and give an 'under tyred / tired' look which is out of keeping on a vehicle of this era.
