Kabab FPV Thank you for the reply Sir I appreciate it. I have been practicing on velocidrone for some time now using the Taranis qx7 plugged in via usb to my pc.
Kabab FPV And Thank you for all you do, your videos are not only informative but actually easy to follow and fun to watch. I want to wish you and yours a very happy merry Christmas and happy new year my friend!
@@Kabab great review! I have no interest in this particular quad, but still I have watched it 2 or 3 times. Lol. I am interested in those motors. Would you please consider doing a comparison video of these motors from eachine against the similar motor design that you had for your spec class motors? Specifically the long term performance/life span, and efficiency. What makes a long lasting motor? Thanks again for your channel. I'm going to brush and floss now.
Worth mentioning - easiest way to go reversed motors on this is, hilariously enough, removing all four bells then moving them 90° around the quad. Sounds dumb, but that is the quickest way to get them aligned for reverse prop direction (then obviously go into the configurator and reverse that).
To do what droned out described, two of the motors are threaded backwards. If you just reverse motor direction in blheli and leave it as is, petty much any contact will break the nut loose, and the best case is the honking goose noise.
tehllama42 I thought the easiest way to reverse motor direction was to just switch around two of the motor wires around on the esc and that would reverse the direction of the motors.
It is owned by banggood yes. And the new wizard was done based on my feedback as well. I have the biggest European Facebook group to it. And we tried fixing all issues and get in everything that should be in it.
Hi! For those who want to know the follow up of the flip of death issue: I talked a lot to AndyRC (who has also experienced the issue) and I've tried to solve it with no luck (I'd say the ESC can't handle 6S properly).. BUT banggood has told me that the issue is being fixed, and I guess next batches will be fine. Good video as always Bob!
Totally agree! Btw, I've also done some testing with the XING motors you just shown on Instagram. I really liked them and I am looking forward your opinion!
I received this quad to review from BangGood recently...and my first two flights I experienced two death spirals after a snap roll to the right. Andy RC has also experienced that issue, and he has a video he put up recently where he showed the damage to the quad after a death roll. Have you noticed any of that with this quad at all? Eachine says it might be a bad motor but I'm still tinkering.
I haven't had any issues like that. I would suspect it's a faulty ESC. For it to be a motor, there would need to be something wrong with the windings or wires which is rare. More likely to just be a cheap ESC made cheaply.
@@EdRickerVlogs does it fall out the sky when it tries to stop the roll or in the middle of the roll? If it's the former like I think it is, you most likely have the ESC to blame. If it's the latter, well I've never seen the latter so it's probably the former 😁👍
Here are the two instances where it happened. The first one was my first line of sight test, and the first roll death spiraled. The second was my first FPV flight where I was taking it easy, and then attempted some rolls toward the end. Felt great up until then. I think it’s an ESC as well, I’ll try to get a replacement. ua-cam.com/video/OKT98KgYgnE/v-deo.html
The vtx noise is due to them powering the camera via the FC. If the camera were powered via a vtx 5v reg it would most likely fix the issue and I always put at least a 470uf 35v cap on the battery leads. This is the most common fix I use when repairing noise issues for people. I fly 6s on Helio Spring AIO boards with very clean video doing it this way.
Re route your power out of the side instead of next to vtx line and shorten the cable, I used a 35v capacitor rite on my power like and I have great picture I'm new but I'm hooked!
yeah, I was looking at this for my first one but I am gonna build my own for my first one when I go to get it. figure if I'm gonna be in this hobby I want to know how to fix and tinker with them. thanks for the info. take care and happy holidays bud
good review, Eachine is really uping their game towards better quality. I don't think, they will ever reach "perfect", cuz that is not possible in the world of FPV (everybody has different needs and wants), but they do a pretty good job of reaching the mass market. Anyway, your 170$ Quad is also missing some things, in which the Wizard would still be a great option. It basically would miss the "bells and whistles", don't needed, but great to have: buzzer, antenna, bluetooth ;) It is just hard to build something with quality for a cheap price, for eachine it is rather easy, cuz they buy and produce in bulk, which drops the prices significant. And on the other hand for most people is the question: "Do I want to spend a lot of money, when I know, it will break anyway and needs repair?!" ;)
I would need to rebuild the damn rear to bring it out the side. Also, the power line hasn't always been the issue....oooooo I just realized there's no cap on this bitch. Good going Eachine...
Andy RC soldered the power wire out the side and it cleared those lines up, and I've seen at least three reviewers having death rolls mostly on 6s, they're thinking it might be that the pins don't fully seat from the FC to the esc's and on hard rolls there might be a disconnect. I'm interested cause I just received mine and can't afford a crash and smash, so I'm thinking I'd put some steel screws in with smaller standoff's so the pins will seat correctly. But I'm happy to see that there are some good things about this quad too, cause I've been wondering if I made s big mistake getting this one.
I dunno. I haven't experienced such things. I'd say that if the quad falls out the sky while trying to stop a roll, it's likely something wrong with the ESC board and that doesn't surprise me even a little bit.
I bought one LOL and the reason why is because without the original wizard being such a deal that it was. I wouldn't be flying FPV. I honestly DID NOT want to spend that much money on something that I didn't know if I was going to like or not. Nostalgia really. Also at the time I had no idea how to solder, there aren't any RC shops in my area and I didn't want to build something just to crash it on the first flight......like I did my wizard. I flew the wizard for about 3 months until I slammed it into the ground trying to do a power loop but because I had all of the parts in front of me. I slowly learned how to rebuild it by taking a part off and putting it back where it came from. Also once I did build my own quad.....it was trash. I didn't know what any good parts where at the time so I put on horrible esc's a horrible vtx that kept going out mid flight and way to powerful motors The proof is all on my channel lol.
Nice video sir :) I enjoyed that.. Soo.. remove that BT thing.. the buzzer-board.. route the power-lead out the side.. Maybe the 2.4Ghz antenna's on the arms.. Looking forward to seeing how much that would help :)
@@peterzingler6221 Yeah.. I understand what it is for.. (I never have my phone with me by the way :P) but still.. I'd like to know if removing it would improve the FPV image..
+DutchRC Adventures no it wouldnt , the Problem is that the Main power led is running parallel to the fpv cable and is inducing current/noise via inductive coupling
I'm somewhat glad I didn't jump in when the Eachine Wizard 95 (I think it was called that) was a thing. Like Bardwell said for that kind of money (or just a tiny bit more) you can get some decent stuff that will last you longer..
I haven't yet tried the T V2 but I think there was an issue with it the last time I was inspecting it to try. I forget. I also meant to say the best value 2306 motor...but it's a damn good overall value too. The construction really is top notch. I'm sure the bearings aren't the best and the shaft isn't titanium but even a crappy 9mm bearing is pretty good and all the titanium does is save a little weight
@@Kabab Totally agree. I think the overall motor formula you've espoused (tall stator, naked bottom, 4x9x4 bearings, 0.15mm laminations, magnet retaining flux ring lip, 2mm retaining bolt with big head, etc) is so dialed that even building motors like that to a price point is going to yield really usable motors. When Eachine can nail construction on something, it still suggests to me that they're back to straddling the fence between OEM and design firm - they're probably farming out (or at least partially subcontracting) a lot of parts, and whoever is building these motors is on point (and likely to get poached for other OEM work down the road). Generally good news because if that quality sticks for batches after the first run, it's going to stay hard for higher priced motors to sell without bringing more quality. I think the first Wizard price targeted setup that ships with PoPo shaft motors will be the actual critical market penetration point for that becoming the real standard going forward... which I wouldn't have thought of months ago when that was coming out, but now that the propeller infrastructure is in place, I now realize it would be entry level quads coming ready party like that which will actually initiate the ground shift in market dynamics for that.
Nice overview, definitely going to help a lot of newbies. And that ending. "Why!! Why!! Why!!! Don't forget to floss" 😂🤣 I can't stand a reverse nut Motors. Another motor to consider for the newbies. Iflight Xing 2207 67.00 for 4 motors on Amazon with free 2-day shipping. They're pretty darn good especially when it comes to being smooth and crash survivability. Keep up the great work Sir Bob V Happy holidays 🙏
@@Kabab you going to review them? You should do a comparison with your new motor with the new xing 2208. I'm not 100% sure what the quality is like but I know they can take a hit and they feel smooth. They do have nine mm jeans but as far as the material not sure if it's really titanium shaft and 7075 aluminum. But damn does Eastern Motors have a beefy motor mount really thick.
only way to decrese the numbers of sales of such products, and get them to buy something just a little better. Is to have internet shops to sell kits at different price classes, that are always updated. The problem for beginners are always to figure out which parts to put together. And linking how-to videos for easy acces on the same site is a must. Actually it should be a "beginners page" at the webshop, "click here , buy and learn anything you need in 3 steps" kindoff thing. Most people are not afraid of how hard it is to do, theyr off put by the amount of time you need to learn and investigate the 27 million different parts and configurations and howto videos.
13:30 why you think it would be better on 6s? Wouldn't it create a bigger strain on the board? I understand running on lower s, inreases cell strain and temps given the amount of amps each cell has to deliver... but the board? I'm still a noob there must be something I'm missing
Na you're not missing anything. Higher voltage on motors designed for 6s volts is lower in amps than motors designed for 4s on a 4s battery. In this case, the motors are made for 6s so running 4s on them is drastically less amps and voltage in the system.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Thanks for the review. I prefer to build my own stuff unless it is in the whoop class. I build everything except for many of these whoops that are coming out today and I am not sure why. I think this quad will work for quite a few folks as a lot of new pilots I have met don't want to do much building. I am hoping they have some soldering and PC skills so they can repair it when it breaks.
@@Kabab Still makes me wonder if offering this as a build kit would actually be preferable - or if having Serge do a bit of a bench-racing refined pick and choose cost competitor to this would make sense. First thought would be targeting a $160 build kit on the F3.0 with the LDARC XT2306 motors, Mamba F4 stack, Caddx F2, and other stuff that works on a tight budget. Wouldn't be the best (and would almost feel bad compared to the existing $199 kit), but do a full build and configure video on it, and offer that. I think it would be a success, and more importantly it would get new pilots to look at that right next to the full on Pyro build, and realize they should just step up to the nicer hardware.
Goodish haha. Oh man the ccw and cw props are a nightmare. To bad about the video noise aswell. Maybe v2 will be better. Thanks for another in depth review :)
If you set it up right, it's actually really nice - when you hit a branch or something, you either have an exploded prop, or it's still on there. I know it's a minimal problem with a lot of newer textured motor bell tops, but on a price point build, it's a really nice feature.
Wow Bob, really a nice review! I was rewatching your vids about high kV/low end points for linear throttle curve and was really confused which route to go for my budget build everyday quad and almost went for a ugly Samguk. Still impressed for 6Smotor/4Spack combo and really could not make up my mind on motorchoice you giving so much options to chose from. Seeing the 4S part triggered me and I ordered these motors for my WBX-5. Pretty sure it should be a good match with the FlycolorRaptor30A. Love to try the 4S route you fancy a lot! The WBX-5 is 600gr so I guess it's worth living to keep her for a while it's very ding proof. Thank you for the review! I watch them all and use them as reference. You make me reconsider if it is worth buying high end parts. You are right the frame and motor choice is what counts most. Kind regards and Merry Christmas!
The parts that I would recommend stay 'high' end are the vtx, Rx and maybe the fpv cam because I like the eagle a lot. Maybe the video antenna could be a non-clone antenna too.
@@Kabab , I'd like to see a parts list included on your future builds. There is a pile of info on your reviews which is quite hard to recall from memory. Spend quite some time re-viewing the last 2 months of your content ;-D I'm very keen on your motor and hardware theories VERY tutorial. Makes me feel I've learned something today LOL!!
@@electrobob1 parts lists are really personal. What I like isn't what someone else will like. I'm slowly gathering some super solid parts I generally use in pretty much every build however. It's being added to each new video.
@@Kabab , I understand but this subscriber is open for suggestions worth considering. I feel your recommendations are honest and based on experience. I'm trying the 6Smotor/4spack route now based on your findings with this motor and I'm interested in your new findings. I like the learning curve but I'm not in the same building pace as you are now thus real life hardware experience is at a lower level. Sometimes your older quotes are hard to retrieve LOL!! No worries I love your vids. Keep sharing your thoughts!
Today I flew my WBX-5 with these motors and 4s1500. I am amazed how easy it is to control this quad now! The speed is good for park flying and I noticed the props sound louder when cornering I assume the motor torque forces the props in the desired rpm range where a weaker motor cannot provide. VERY easy low flying and cornering and it. I'd even recommend this motor for a 1st build a perfect everyday quad for me. Upgrading to a racer when I feel the need for speed but I recon upgrading my QX7 gimbals to M7R is a much better route to go first before even considering DShot1200. Thank you for high lighting these motors. ps. I'm currently much in doubt for a toothpick build: I have a 2s550, GF2540, 3B1105/7500kV, Zeus in my Tomo Sidewinder and a 2s toothpick gets similar to what I have already and not ideal for indoors even at 1s... Still a great whoop conversion tough! good luck with your new website love the info! Chances are the toothpick might be worth living with 1105 +gf2540 on a whoop FC? Best regards! Erik
I wish I got one of those instead of a x220s because 3 days after I got it I lost it in a corn field and never found it. Now I have a few even better builds.
what if i use this motor (2306 1650kv) on my 4s 5" or 6" build? will it give me poor performance (too low kv?) than other budget motor like samguk 2306 2300kv?
Yup, this was my first thought - unshielded battery leads with tons of AC noise on them from ESCs placed right next to a VTX antenna isn't going to be particularly helpful.
@@exposer3339 Doesn't work quite like that - running a low ESR cap in parallel does a good job of reducing how much higher frequency content voltage oscillations are happening, but it's least effective right by the battery leads and capacitor. It's just a bad place to have a big unshielded wire that is constantly making large B-fields next to something that is affected by EMI.
@@tehllama42 Hmm okay im just a noob and came across an article explaining Low ESR caps, things like B-fields and EMI are like Chinese to me still. I thought battery leads where shielded by design wtf :O
@@exposer3339 All the RF stuff is shielded, but the battery leads aren't. I'm definitely not an electrical engineer either... I just pretend to be one at work. Even for EE's, at some level it comes down to 'photons and magnetic fields are basically magic we can describe mathematically'
That's nice to give us a list of how to build a better one but if only one of these listed parts has delivery problems, I have at the end to wait 3 months just because a single part is not available ... Sure i would like to build something better, but only if I have another copter to bridge the waiting time ^^ Unfortunately, I could not find another copter in this price range with a similarly good performance. Cheers!
Is the wizard the best choice for roundabout 200 € (230 $)? The Diatone 2018 GT-M540 Stretch X is the only alternative I've found. I like it a bit better than the wizard - but I do not want to make any big mistakes now. Unfortunately they both look like a repair hell. I hate soldering...damn 4in1 escs -.-
Hi Kabab! Nice video as allways. The video noise comes apparently from the xt60, it is too close to de vtx. If you move it to a side the noise may be gone. 😉
Nice video! The quad seems amazing for its value. Bit of a odd question but with that onboard buzzer and Lipo how would going through airport security work because the Lipo is always on it?
The video noise looks like more the 4-in-1 ESCs board needs a better capacitor or if it already has one, it's not located at the best location for cutting the noise efficiently :) Merry christmas to you and all your family
As a UK quad pilot I'm curious to hear what you think about the whole Gatwick 'drone' incident, though I know it's not the sort of thing you typically cover.
I actually haven't been following it closely but I'm pretty sure it's just dumb in general. It was probably a DJI thing and it should be mandated that any DJI craft cannot take off within a mile of any airport ever. You would need to turn off your GPS to get it to take off.
@@Kabab It was a weird thing it did a runaway when it was 20metres in the air and just fell out of the sky! OSD displayed Runaway after a fast roll... on 6S so weird!! Do you recall what your runaway protection was set to on 6S? On 4S there is never any issue other than its so slow!
Does the VTX now fit in the frame in description or not? Would ve very interesting, because im a newbie and want my first quad... I dont know to buy the wizard or yozr parts in description
I have built what's in my description but I assure you it's a better build and I'd recommend it. However no I can't tell if all things fit into the frame. They should as they're all standard parts
I don't think the arms breaking easily should be a factor until there is actual evidence of it happening. Out of all the videos and reviews I've seen I haven't heard of it happening yet, and I think speculation just isn't a correct way to review something. It's like if a new car came out and a reviewer said "these suspension arms are definitely going to break" It's just pure conjecture.
okay but this isn't a car it's a cheap Chinese product and I have done extensive testing on how harms break because I have designed so many frames. Literally thousands of brakes. I also didn't say that these arms will break easier I just said that it will break in one specific location and that is the weak point. It's not particularly weak it's just the weakest point
Can the video noise be from having the lipo input from middle stack running under vtx out back? Alot of radio frequency would be present so what if u redo wire to run out the side instead?
How are the motors compared to the Mr Steele silk motors? I want to support steele, but that price is kinda heavy if the performance is worse than the 15$ motor. Merry christmas.
on this video your fly this quad with 4s and S3 props.. can you suggest whats the best prop for this low kv motor usiing 4s lipo? i use dal 5046 and 5051c. the 5046 feels slow on punch but has a bit more lowend.. but the 5051 give better punch but i realy need to add more and more throttle to recover from dive/split s etc.. but the 5051 is so smooth to fly.. with S3 prop why you said its okey to fly? isnt has less pittch (5x3x3) right? i always think to get more power ffrom weak motors in this case under KV motors i need to give pitchier props for it. cmmiw. before this i only use 6 inch prop with it. but lately i miss the 5" so i throw 5" props on it. i will be happy if i still can use this motors because if i want to fly 6" i just switch props and pids. but if not i will get amax 2305 for 5".. this also means more budget because i need to build another quad for 5" :(
if it has a low kv on the motor, there are no props that will give you lots of power on 4S. That's not the point. It's got great throttle control on 4S. That's the point. Use 6S if you want the power. Any of the recent props that just came out are going to be good on this quad. The Nepal 1 and Gemfan 51433
@@Kabab yes it give me a very good throttle control on 4s. I only losing the low torqe/stopping power on recover from high altitude. ill try the Nepal and spitfire.. thanks
HI Bob! What should i do with the motor idle throttle value? keep it in 2.5? i will fly on 4s. Thank you so much, waiting for the flying Prius! Ive got the props XD.
Anyone know where to find info on hooking the 220hv with the Frysky qx7, is it possible or is another piece of kit required to do so, seen some things related to getting the 220 linked up with the Qx7. Any thoughts to help out a newbie?
Nice, thanks for the tip. I’m trying to choose itens for a speed 5 inch mount, but this aways been so expensive.. Do you have a competitive list for this low price quads?
KababFPV thanks very much for your attention! I pondered better and I think it's still time to try a Ready to fly. In doubt about a f4 40amp Skystars Star Lord, that have a plenty of Nice reviews, and the f7 60amp Hglrc Sector 5, wich have almost none review..
Yup - Arrow Micro (4:3 CCD) or Caddx F2 (16:9 CMOS) are the best value cameras out there. Micro Eagle is the only thing I'll actually pay more money to have.
That's what AndyRC found. Seems to be a very poor choice of cable runs. Andy soldered the power connector right off the side and that fixed almost all of the noise. It seems Eachine does not have any QA after manufacturing. If it was me I'd test every aspect of the product before shipping. How long would that really take?? Three hours tops!?
Not a problem! However I am wondering how did you figure out which UART to use, since all of the images I have seen of the FC are not labeled? Can I just start randomly trying different numbers, or can that cause a problem? Thanks again!
@@Kabab Thanks for quick response. Less power means less potential damage ... especially after you point out how fragile this model can be, I just want to fly safe around my backyard ... and maybe salvage the parts for other build. thanks.
Great video man! I have a question about my x220hv. I had an extra fs-ia6b receiver lying around and I'm trying to set it up on the wizard hv but I keep getting an error message in speedy bee saying it can't detect a receiver. I can't find anywhere online that says if this receiver is compatible or not. Does anyone know how to hook up this receiver with this quad?
So - Motors good, rest not so good. I'll pass. Not a RTF fan anyway. Motors might be worth a try, but the thread games pretty much ruins that. Very good review though. I'm a 6" fan, have some of the Azure 6" carbon filled props coming. What would you recommendation be for a 6S motor for a freestyle quad. I've got a couple seasons in and have the basics down. Sorry to go off topic here, your last video got me thinking on the subject. After thinking over what you said about control and motor weight, I am looking at T-motor F80 Pro 2408 1900KV (the newer one) to pair with the more aggressive Azure 6145 (currently using HQ 6x3x3V1s). These are a bit heavier, but would appear to provide the torque and control needed? I'm interested more in tight control and efficiency (flight time) than insane speed. I have a set of the older F80 - the 2308 version, on the shelf, they are a bit heavier,. I'm am looking to retrofit several quads this spring (I keep 2 or 3 identical quads so I can practice consistently even if I bang one up or play with Betaflight settings, so would prefer currently available motors - cheaper wouldn't hurt my feelings either) Maybe I'm going overkill here, and there's a better choice, if so, please tell. Thanks for any thoughts on the subject you can provide!
the biggest problem with Eachine is that you don't know what you get ... maybe you have luck and get one that is working well ... but most of the time (know at least 2 people) you will get something that is already broken. For me Eachine is not an option at all. ... and I prefer to support origin products
Helvetica. Which has been considered the most neutral and best all-around looking font. However the actual helvetica is not cheap to buy so this is a knock off version. I believe Apple computers come with the helvetica font and every computer needs to pay a licensing fee in the background for it

Kabab FPV would you recommend this quad for a complete beginner ? I have the Taranis qx7 remote will that work with this quad model ?
@@mannyvarela1326 I really would not. I would recommend a simulator. But yes the Qx7 would work. However you need a receiver for it
Kabab FPV Thank you for the reply Sir I appreciate it.
Sounds dumb, but that is the quickest way to get them aligned for reverse prop direction (then obviously go into the configurator and reverse that).
omg, duh. dunno why I didn't think about that.
tehllama42 why does that work? arent the motors and the bells all exactly the same?
@@dimitrivonderbluhm8969 It keeps the prop nuts as self tightening if you want to run reversed props.
This craft is surprisingly smooth, im quite impressed with this model. I might buy it, thanks for the invaluable review and amazing flying as usual.
It is owned by banggood yes. And the new wizard was done based on my feedback as well. I have the biggest European Facebook group to it. And we tried fixing all issues and get in everything that should be in it.
You'll never be able to fix all the issues, but this definitely constitutes a big step forward in a lot of areas, which is really pretty exciting.
thanks for the honest review...probably wouldn't buy this as i like building but but i appreciate eachine for sure.
It is a big strength that you speak in high terms about the positive things of a company which copies your own developments (or at least tries it)
Positives and negatives. It's a faceless company so I don't know exactly who is doing the copying...
Hey, good to know Manu. Did they mention what was the issue? And can you fix the issue yourself or those with first batches are just unlucky?
I would bet it's just a faulty ESC. With such low end parts it's kind of a tossup. The build I assembled in the description is a much better quad.
Totally agree!
Btw, I've also done some testing with the XING motors you just shown on Instagram. I really liked them and I am looking forward your opinion!
I’m glad you mentioned the prop nuts, so dumb I mean maybe 3 yrs ago maybe! Merry Christmas
love the LTT reference, love your infos, keep this going your voice is strong in the hobby
@@Kabab Thanks for the response. I'll keep troubleshooting and see what's to blame.
I think it’s an ESC as well, I’ll try to get a replacement.

i've just watched this, even if its been a week ago, i really like the awesome content!..Congratulation Kabab...
Definitely build your own quad. It's not too difficult and you gain so much invaluable experience. Thanks Bob 😁👍👍
I think you can solder a capacitor 470uf 35v in order to remove noises
I have flown mine now for a year. Nothing broke. :) I replaced the VTX, but else its perfectly fine.
Merry Christmas, Thanks for the amazing upload....

good review, Eachine is really uping their game towards better quality. I don't think, they will ever reach "perfect", cuz that is not possible in the world of FPV (everybody has different needs and wants), but they do a pretty good job of reaching the mass market.
Anyway, your 170$ Quad is also missing some things, in which the Wizard would still be a great option. It basically would miss the "bells and whistles", don't needed, but great to have: buzzer, antenna, bluetooth ;)
It is just hard to build something with quality for a cheap price, for eachine it is rather easy, cuz they buy and produce in bulk, which drops the prices significant. And on the other hand for most people is the question: "Do I want to spend a lot of money, when I know, it will break anyway and needs repair?!" ;)
I do not agree with your last comment. I prefer much more the CW/CCW motor nut set. Minimal burden for a safer usage when a prop hits something.
The video noises from the power wire going right across the VTX just bring it out the side it will help
I would need to rebuild the damn rear to bring it out the side. Also, the power line hasn't always been the issue....oooooo I just realized there's no cap on this bitch. Good going Eachine...
I agree those motors are pretty well built I like tight drag big magnets and thicker coppers
The video noise is probably due the lack of ESC filtration. Add a low esr cap in the XT60.
It's all part of the learning unfortunately
@@Kabab true very true
Nice video sir :) I enjoyed that..
Soo.. remove that BT thing.. the buzzer-board.. route the power-lead out the side..
Maybe the 2.4Ghz antenna's on the arms..
Looking forward to seeing how much that would help :)
That Bluetooth board is pretty nice , with the Android APP its just like normal betaflight on PC on your phone or tablet
@@peterzingler6221 Yeah.. I understand what it is for.. (I never have my phone with me by the way :P)
but still.. I'd like to know if removing it would improve the FPV image..
+DutchRC Adventures no it wouldnt , the Problem is that the Main power led is running parallel to the fpv cable and is inducing current/noise via inductive coupling
Peter Zingler would installing a capacitor somewhere on the quad solve that issue ?
+Manny Varela nope , adding the powerlead to the side directly on the escs solves it 90%
I'm somewhat glad I didn't jump in when the Eachine Wizard 95 (I think it was called that) was a thing.
Like Bardwell said for that kind of money (or just a tiny bit more) you can get some decent stuff that will last you longer..
mamba stack or RacerStar 35A 4in1 + Rcharlance F4 Pro V2 for a solder less experience.
I would cut those wires and put in Racer Wire. Makes swapping motors quick and easy! In fact, I’m surprised you don’t use it in your builds!
It takes way longer to install. I can swap motors just as easily as someone with racewire. I have full access to the ESC tabs
If I heard 'new best value motor' I would have guessed iFlight Tachyon V2 (because they're also 2208's)... but these are intriguing to say the least.
Keep up the great work Sir Bob V
Happy holidays 🙏
I just got like a dozen of those xing motors
@@Kabab you going to review them? You should do a comparison with your new motor with the new xing 2208. I'm not 100% sure what the quality is like but I know they can take a hit and they feel smooth. They do have nine mm jeans but as far as the material not sure if it's really titanium shaft and 7075 aluminum. But damn does Eastern Motors have a beefy motor mount really thick.
@@Kabab and I meant $67 for 4 Motors with free 2-day shipping. but then again I get all my parts from pyro flip in 2 days.
only way to decrese the numbers of sales of such products, and get them to buy something just a little better.
That's what pirofliprc is doing now. The kits sell out almost immediately when available
@@Kabab cool. Didnt know that, had a quick look and could not find it. But great!! Then it will be easier for me to help people :)
@@trapromo because the search function on the website is so broken it's depressing. The new website is coming very soon
Build your own is the only way to go!👍
My best guess would be that the main power wires running so close to the vtx are causing so much electrical noise.
Definitely build it yourself
Thank you thank you thank you on the mamba stack heads up
Goodish haha. Oh man the ccw and cw props are a nightmare. To bad about the video noise aswell. Maybe v2 will be better. Thanks for another in depth review :)
If you set it up right, it's actually really nice - when you hit a branch or something, you either have an exploded prop, or it's still on there. I know it's a minimal problem with a lot of newer textured motor bell tops, but on a price point build, it's a really nice feature.
video noise: try routing the batt wires off of the vtx. not beneath it, as it is now.
Yeah that's the foxeer predator mini. The flosstyle needs an extra 5mm to get it to fit it's a chunky thing.
Mini cams are kinda dumb imo
@@Kabab I just wanted to try a Predator with a full size lens tbh. Pretty much agree
Spend quite some time re-viewing the last 2 months of your content ;-D

I understand but this subscriber is open for suggestions worth considering.
Erik
they should add plugs for the motors, so they can build this drone a lot quicker. i'm all for motor plugs.
I wish this would become a standard
wow man you have a very good point to think about it extra hard !

Informative as always
andy said that the noise is mostly coming from the battery leads going under the vtx
Yup, this was my first thought - unshielded battery leads with tons of AC noise on them from ESCs placed right next to a VTX antenna isn't going to be particularly helpful.
A Little Cap on the +/- should fix that
@@exposer3339 Doesn't work quite like that - running a low ESR cap in parallel does a good job of reducing how much higher frequency content voltage oscillations are happening, but it's least effective right by the battery leads and capacitor. It's just a bad place to have a big unshielded wire that is constantly making large B-fields next to something that is affected by EMI.

for 15$ id take the iflight tachyon v2 2207, they have 9mm bearings aswell and they are taller than typical 2207 maybe 2207.5 or 2208
Yup. They're just plain 2208 motors, and they rip. I think they were on Amazon (for at least us murricans) at $14/motor.
Shouldn't the Speedybee bluetooth power itself down upon arming? That's usually how it prevents interference issues.
The interference is caused by the power lead running in line with the vtx cables ;)
@@peterzingler6221 I see what you're saying, and I think you're right. That is, less than optimal. :)

It's basically a watch battery sized lipo. Won't be an issue.
Its bobbling around in the air alot, compared to your standard builds. Maybe it can be tuned out.
Na that's my fingers. I was walking around a bit. I fell off my post. Lol

Vtx is a cheap akk, rated for 800mw actually outputs 500mw, totally good vtx tho.
No soft mounting of the fc or does it have an isolation block? Seems to work ok. Surprising.
No soft mounting. Forgot to say but BF filtering is pretty darn good these days and the nylon screws actually soften things a little too.
The video noise looks like more the 4-in-1 ESCs board needs a better capacitor or if it already has one, it's not located at the best location for cutting the noise efficiently :)
Merry christmas to you and all your family
Can someone help me set up this drone. I can't arm it :(
Check your channel map output and set your arm switch properly in the mode menu
First?! Jeez, what a pleasant surprise from Eachine...
Ayeee winner :)
@KababFPV 100% on where the arms break... 100% correct location broke an arm today right on the dotted line!!!
I've been doing this a while. It's pretty clear to me...

using throttle limits either in betaflight or the controller is popular these days
Instead of nylon screws, use stainless steel screws and nylon spacers (learned it from Kabab FPV) :)
Can the video noise be from having the lipo input from middle stack running under vtx out back? Alot of radio frequency would be present so what if u redo wire to run out the side instead?
Likely. Probably just needs a cap
How are the motors compared to the Mr Steele silk motors? I want to support steele, but that price is kinda heavy if the performance is worse than the 15$ motor. Merry christmas.
These are gonna be more powerful for sure as the kv is definitely higher while the rest of the construction is similar
on this video your fly this quad with 4s and S3 props.. can you suggest whats the best prop for this low kv motor usiing 4s lipo? i use dal 5046 and 5051c. the 5046 feels slow on punch but has a bit more lowend.. but the 5051 give better punch but i realy need to add more and more throttle to recover from dive/split s etc.. but the 5051 is so smooth to fly.. with S3 prop why you said its okey to fly? isnt has less pittch (5x3x3) right? i always think to get more power ffrom weak motors in this case under KV motors i need to give pitchier props for it. cmmiw. before this i only use 6 inch prop with it. but lately i miss the 5" so i throw 5" props on it. i will be happy if i still can use this motors because if i want to fly 6" i just switch props and pids. but if not i will get amax 2305 for 5".. this also means more budget because i need to build another quad for 5" :(
if it has a low kv on the motor, there are no props that will give you lots of power on 4S. That's not the point. It's got great throttle control on 4S. That's the point. I wouldn't spend money on this quad. Especially not today with so many options
Nice, thanks for the tip. I’m trying to choose itens for a speed 5 inch mount, but this aways been so expensive.. Do you have a competitive list for this low price quads?
@@cnrd79 yeah, check out the links in my description.
@@cnrd79 usually if you don't spend enough, you will have to re-buy a bunch of things when it all breaks so you have lost all of your savings
KababFPV thanks very much for your attention! I pondered better and I think it's still time to try a Ready to fly. In doubt about a f4 40amp Skystars Star Lord, that have a plenty of Nice reviews, and the f7 60amp Hglrc Sector 5, wich have almost none review..
the foxeer arrow micro pro is only $20 and I've heard it's good, so that's another $15 off from the micro Swift you have listed
Yup - Arrow Micro (4:3 CCD) or Caddx F2 (16:9 CMOS) are the best value cameras out there. Micro Eagle is the only thing I'll actually pay more money to have.
I personally prefer the swift to the arrow. I've just had better luck with it.
Hey KababFPV what were your rates on the Wizard in this video?
Probably 1.2 all around.
@@Kabab so it would be under 1100d/s right?
Lol. Happychine or Eamodel. Take your pick.
What betaflight version did u use , im new too this , I downloaded beta 4.0 and its not recognizing the wizard hv when i hit conect
It's probably not the right version for the board. Unfortunately I'm not sure what is. Check the product page
ok. but what about the GLIDE??
Should be end of this week hopefully
Hi, question, did you had any death rolls with 6s on the stock rates (max vel deg/s)? It's 667 default right?
I haven't but others have it seems
Maybe the video noise comes from the power lead under the vtx, that’s my guess. Amazing video though!
A few days ago, I flossed properly for the first time in about three years because my braces were finally removed😁.
Nice, I always want to but, would need about half an hour to get done. :/
Which uart did you choose in beta flite to hook up your xm +
can't remember. sorry
Not a problem! However I am wondering how did you figure out which UART to use, since all of the images I have seen of the FC are not labeled? Can I just start randomly trying different numbers, or can that cause a problem?
Thanks again!
Move the power cable and video noise would leave
Have you ever had the wizard death roll?
I have heard other people talk about it but I never experienced it
is it possible to change the maximum acceleration per millisecond to 15%?
I've messed with that but haven't found it to do much or be much use for anything so far
@@Kabab could you connect to blheli_32? from there I saw that it can be done
Yes you can
will you recommend 4S for easy freestyle?
Easy? Sure it'll fly fine but it's not really less difficult. Just less power.
Does it work when you plug it into a computer?
KababFPV when I plug it in to the computer I do not get an error but it still doesn’t register any input from my controls
@@BrentBuildsOnline check the uart menu. Also the config menu to assure the Right protocol
@@Kabab I'll post a video later today of my betaflight configuration.
@@Kabab damn I just figured it out... I had the wrong protocol selected... I had PWM... Needed PPM. Stupid user error. Thanks for your help man!
Kabab: CEO of Eachine. Lol if you do end up at a high rank in eachine make improvements in quality control.
I'm am looking to retrofit several quads this spring (I keep 2 or 3 identical quads so I can practice consistently even if I bang one up or play with Betaflight settings, so would prefer currently available motors - cheaper wouldn't hurt my feelings either)
Maybe I'm going overkill here, and there's a better choice, if so, please tell.
Thanks for any thoughts on the subject you can provide!
I'm going to do a video on efficiency in a few videos. Some really mind blowing stuff has been realized recently...
@@Kabab I'll be watching, Thanks.
merry christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just got mines today 😄
What is your tune

@@Kabab thanks
If Eachine provides better customer service and better warranties they could be one hell of a Tech company.
Yes I wish I could own Eachine
the biggest problem with Eachine is that you don't know what you get ... maybe you have luck and get one that is working well ... but most of the time (know at least 2 people) you will get something that is already broken. For me Eachine is not an option at all.
... and I prefer to support origin products
Yes this is not false. For the most part, the things you know about will be decent. Rtf like this are just questionable
What font do you use?
Helvetica. Which has been considered the most neutral and best all-around looking font. However the actual helvetica is not cheap to buy so this is a knock off version. I believe Apple computers come with the helvetica font and every computer needs to pay a licensing fee in the background for it
was waiting for another vid. those motors look like rotor riot copy. in all reality almost every motor is a copy. its just a motor. just comes down to craftsmanship
Hit em with the it depends huh
Love it. Meanwhile, every affiliate link fueled reviewer is just spamming plaudits because they know it'll sell if they hit the high points hard enough.
why only 360p ?
it was processing. Now it's 4k
