Hi guys! Jon wanted me to experience the first part of the game as it was originally intended, so we have a few episodes recorded on the original N64 hardware. Would you all like for us to change up now that we need to record more, so it's easier on the eyes? We don't mind! (Also it saves me from that damn controller, lol)
I’m fine with how the original looks, but if you’re more comfortable with an Xbox controller and want to see a better frame rate, then I don’t think anyone will mind you playing the Xbox version. It’s like 99% the same game.
look.. its only gonna get worse on the xbox for controls... you eventually learn WAY more moves in this game then you did in the first game, it will get a bit better once you get used to the controller, and that right stick nonsense on the xbox one will come to haunt you much more.
Honestly, as great as giving you the "authentic" experience is. I would really appreciate the upscale version 😅 Plus I hope it'll be easier on your hands as you're used to modern controllers
As a helpful piece of advice, through it's entirely possible Jon's already told you. If you are going for 100%, Then There will be times in each world where you won't be able to complete something in the stage until you gain a new ability in a future world. Do not be discouraged in "backtracking" to get more collectables.
In terms of overall game structure, Tooie is really more of a metroidvania than a collectathon. Also Rare really, really loved to push the N64 harder than it could actually go. HOLY MAH BALLS does this game chug at times.
@@pcachu That's one reason I disagree with them playing the N64 version. That, and Lucah is more used to the xbox controls. Regardless, I'm very excited for this LP.
Definitely this. Literally every single level has things that won't be available on your first visit. You'll have to backtrack and do stuff in other levels in order to make things accessible for others. It's a very "interconnected world" kind of game in that aspect.
@@Erthshade with games where the let's player voices the characters do I kinda want to make a supercut with the best voices together from all the let's players I think did a good job.
Ban-Jon and Lucah-Zooie are back! Commence the jigglin! This is definitely a full circle moment for me, because the Banjo Kazooie LP was what got me into Jon and Lucah's streaming content. Once again, this is a game that I didn't get to experience as a child, so I'm excited to live vicariously through you! Looking forward to silly voices, movie quotes, and plenty of pooping! EDIT: 18:35 to commemorate the first poop of the series!
N64 Tips: Hold the center stick with your left hand. makes it easier in my opinion. Be prepared for anything Be prepared for Anything Be prepared for ANYTHING and most importantly it's all connected.
Oh I’m glad Jon appreciates Nuts and Bolts! I know it’s not the banjo game people wanted (and it really didn’t even need to be a banjo game), but I definitely loved it for what it was.
Honestly I think part of the reason Nuts and Bolts is disliked so much is because they outright mocked the first two games and the people that liked them. Had they not done that and just presented it as a goofy spinoff it probably wouldve been received a little better.
Welcome to Banjo-Tooie, the stakes have been officially raised. Most notably, you have access to every single ability you learned last game from the start, so Spiral Mountain exists to remind you of all of that.
Very good game. I personally like it more than Kazooie. The only tip I'd give so far is to spend some more time off-screen in this starting area just messing around so you can get used to controlling Banjo and using all the abilities from the first game. But you've probably already recorded a bunch more parts lol Good luck!
Yeah, I always liked it more too. For me, it's everything that's great about the first, but there's even more to it. But, yeah, they probably already recorded a bunch.
The world building and the way everything was tied together is so cool. My mind was blown at how just about every part of Isle o’ Hags tied together and the way the music reflects that at times too. It was like a Zelda game meets Banjo-Kazooie. Still kinda am mind-blown considering a lot of games since still segregate each world/area (technically they all are to varying degrees unless you’re Minecraft or the like, even with the great quilt analogy of Earthbound’s maps; some games are just better about masking the segregation or about making the player feel like everything is connected than others). Execution wise however, your mileage may vary depending on feelings towards backtracking.
here's what I like about it more than the original: -more, and better, proper boss fights -an even bigger empahsis on humour and meta commentary -far more interesting and unique levels -I like the grander, darker plot but the first game's plot was quite fine as well -some really fun secrets ;p
Even with Jon’s help this series is going to go on forever. Banjo Tooie is such a massive game, packed with content and fun memories. This game and DK64 are quite possibly he biggest games on the system. Get ready for 15 minutes of this.
As someone who experienced the N64 controller as a toddler and later as an adult, the N64 controller is an ungodly abomination among controller, but once you get used to it you don’t even notice it’s grotesque shape lol
I have been hoping you guys would do this game ever since you beat Banjo Kazooie. I actually started with Tooie and got Kazooie some years later, so I cannot describe how happy I am to see this. Good luck!
I'm so happy you're doing this. I prefer this game over the original, and I don't really understand why so many people feel the other way. One thing the game never tells you: you can hold R for sharper steering while you're flying or swimming underwater. This makes precision movement a LOT easier in those circumstances.
Hey Lucah, ~ While wearing the sprint shoes, you can actually walk on water provided you're running at top speed. Bottles tells you this if you ask him about it at the molehill, but I believe in Banjo-Kazooie this mechanic either was absent or simply never relevant. ~ You don't actually need to fly to Grunty's Lair to access it; you can reach the broken bridge with a backflip then climb up it as if it was a ladder. ~ Remember the fish boulder for when you can break it - knowing you, you *will* want what he gives you.
OH MY GOSH YES I AM SO EXCITED!!! This is my favorite game of all time so I apologize for my ramblings but I have much to say The first thing I want to recommend is not worrying about going for 100%. Tooie's requirements for beating the game are much more lenient than the first game, and some of the collectibles are downright devious. I think you'll have a better time playing the levels at your own pace and coming back later if you decide to. (You'll need to in a lot of instances too.) Also if you do commit to the N64 version, the framerate gets reeeal bad in the lategame. There are a few differences between this and the Xbox version but they're very minor, so if you do end up switching I wouldn't blame you in the slightest. Finally, an actual gameplay tip! Holding down the R-button (which also resets the camera) while swimming or flying makes the controls significantly smoother. I don't think either games tell you this though That's all for now, but I can guarantee I'll be back with more as the series goes on! I absolutely love this game and I'm so excited for this!!! 💛💛💛
IIRC you can enter most if not every cheat in N64 Tooie without any penalty, but any cheat enabled on the 360/Rare Replay disables saving or something like that. Considering one of the cheats is Infinite air coupled with Lucah’s fear of drowning, this may be why they went with the N64 version.
Yes! I was already excited to watch Emile play through Banjo Kazooie, so this is double the fun (if not more so)! I'm one of those weird people who liked Tooie more than Kazooie growing up, so I'm stoked to see you play this blind.
So excited for this! Lucah's lp of Kazzooie is one of my favorite lps, and I honestly like Tooie even more personally. Also, Lucah rediscovering the joy of pooping was just the best
Wow, I never noticed until now, but the Boulder Blaster spell page literally just says what the witch says when she rhymes Mock with Rock 6:58 oh and the other page says BK brew
I’ve been hoping you’d play this ever since your Banjo-Kazooie playthrough. The fact that you uploaded this TODAY is amazing timing! Such a wonderful birthday gift! ♥️
I am EXCITED to see this. My tip for the controller, the left side doesn't exist. Left hand holds the center "grip" left pointer finger on the trigger(z button) and thumb on teh joy stick. right hand on the right grip for sholder buttons, a, b, and the c buttons. Ad for learning the c buttons they are arranged so up is up, left is left, right is right and down is down. I know that sounds obvious but if you haven't touched the controller before thats a LOT of buttons to deal with and you have to think. the c buttons are the replacement for the right analog stick...well it predated it. N64 games LOVED the c buttons
Hell yes, I am so excited about this! I know Kazooie is usually everyone's favorite, but I've always much preferred the sequel. I hope you and Jon have fun playing through it!
On a whim I rewatched your banjo kazooie lets play just last week! And I'm glad I did, good timing! Excited to finally see banjo tooie! I've never played it before!
OMG yes! I've been waiting 3 years for this day! I also just finished playing Banjo Tooie for the 1st time in many years so I'm all refreshed on what to expect.
This series is a dream come true! Very excited to see the whole thing! Only tip I would keep in mind is that you aren't expected to 100% clear every area as you pass through them the first time, so feel free to move on to the next area when you felt like you have done enough where you are currently at.
Helpful tip, I don't remember if the game tells you this but you can hold the R or L button to make sharp turns during flight. Good luck with this game
Oh my gosh, I am so incredibly hyped for this!!! I moved four times in the time it took between the first lets play and this one starting, gosh it feels so long.
Happy to be back here and no better occasion than the sequel of a series that I loved on this channel! Even better that coincidentally Banjo-Kazooie started on TheRunawayGuys. 4:41 Even blinder than the previous series, beautiful! 4:57 I love both games, just for different reasons! But yeah, Tooie is definitely a longer and more involved game than Kazooie. 7:25 She got the Dry Bowser treatment ante litteram. 12:01 Yep, Lucah's guess was right, someone actually died! 21:06 Mumbo was the one grilling poor Roysten on the barbecue for some reason. 23:41 The characters are certainly one of the things that make these games great, even more so in this one so you're in for a treat! 29:20 Yeah, it's probably for the best to switch to the Xbox version, but I'm glad you got to experience the original one!
Lucah taking the Kazooie file is absolute win, have fun girl ^-^ I loved watching your Banjo-Kazooie Let's Play years ago and I'm so glad you're back to playing a Banjo game again :D
Wow, I just watched your Banjo Kazooie playthrough this week because I heard Jon mention it on TRG, and now here we are with Tooie! Never played it before, but based on what a friend of mine has told me, this is a much harder game than the first.
OH MY GOD, HELL YEAH! Goddamn, not only you LP one of my favorite VNs ever, but you also LP the sequel to my childhood's most important game, I can't, I am eating soooo good right now I was scared you won't do it cuz it's SOOOO long, but as long as you have Jon guiding you, everything's gonna be fine! Also, Jon, thank you for not badmouthing Nuts & Bolts like 90% of the people, it IS a good game! (I mean from the 3 hours I played it, it looked fun and creative)
Ahhhhh YES. This is the bloody best surprise to see today! I missed your Banjo let's play. It was one of my favourites. Cannot wait to see you two go through this.
Oh my goodness its actually happening! So excited for you to play this! Especially if the first is anything to go on, this is going to be hilarious! Enjoy the first time lucha!
I was busy with college and I never got the notifications, so I’ll be catching up now. But, it’s great to see you playing this game Lucah! My favorite game of all time.
"I like the characters, I just don't like playing." Honestly, that's me in regards to just about *any* game that requires you to actually be good at video games XD
Dude, HYPE! If it makes you feel any better, this game is much more forgiving than the first one. And swimming will get a lot less scary later on. With the water world, you won't even have to fear drowning. I know that's spoiling a bit, but it's not fun knowing how anxious you may get otherwise.
"How long's it been?" Well, for me, it's been about 20 seconds. since I binged BK when I saw she was doing this- but based on the upload dates I remember, it's been like 4 years.

Oh my god, you cannot imagine how excited I am for this. I personally like this game much more than the first so I always love to see other people playing it. I really hope you enjoy this one.
Yesss, I'm excited to watch you play this! I really enjoyed your playthrough of the first game. I hadn't played it myself in years and so started playing it again when you did. This I haven't played, so it will be fun to watch.
What a coincidence, I just rewatched your Banjo Kazooie series a couple months ago before playing through Banjo Tooie for the first time myself! Really looking forward to this series!
This is the first video game I EVER played like without using my friends games. I got this for my 7th birthday. MAN I LOVE THIS GAME. I actually love this game more than Kazooie only by a smidgen XD IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH YOU GUYS PLAYYYY I might bust out my N64 to play soon too! ^W^ My favorite levels are Hellfire Peaks icy and hot and the cloud cuckoo land~ :DD IM SOOO EXCITED!!! THIS GAME IS SO WACKY AND MYSTERIOUSSS!
Hey Lucah! I will say, for the N64 controller, with most games (including Banjo-Tooie), hold the middle prong with your left hand and the right one with your right hand. Left index finger on the Z button, left thumb on the control stick, and right thumb between the A+B buttons and the yellow C buttons. Also, make sure to get every new move that you can, as early as you can... Ask Jon after each move you gain if there's something you should go back and do now, after each move. And finally... There is a special upgrade you'll have access to in front of access to I think the third world? It is absolutely essential to get that as soon as you are able to, but it is a bit complicated and convoluted to get it, so make sure Jon tells you as soon as you have everything you need to be able to get it.
I'm excited! This game was also a part of my childhood as well, so I'm nothing but excited to see it. I don't have a tip, but trivia! The opening cutscene's music actually accounts for the lag. In the Xbox version, the lag is gone, so the music gets out of sync.
this is going to be fun. chugga struggling at banjo kazooie and luca struggling at banjo tooie. I'd still like to play both of them, but I can see why jon would think bk was a bit better. it def seems shorter, whereas tooie has so much extra stuff. not to mention a lot of the game is getting around the bigger worlds, trying to figure out how they connect at multiple points (like a whole boss to fight before getting the train that takes you to a world). or the fact that lots of npcs appear with things they can give you but in different worlds than they should be. it seems like tooie might be a good game to play as much as you want to, but not worry about completing everything. thinking about conker, I've only seen it when ncs played it years ago. I don't really feel like bothering with it since its gameplay doesn't look a appealing, and it seems more focused on audacious jokes and raunchy humor. but as far as 'bad' things in the game, I don't even think the nazi segment is what I would label as the most 'offending' bit in the game. like sure, there's a bit towards the end where you get drafted in ww2 and fight a mecha hitler or something. it's not like the game says that hitler was good or anything. and conker is spoofing like a dozen different popular bits of media and gameplay and settings. there's also a bit where you invade dracula's castle, fight some cavemen, etc. in terms of like...ridiculous content, I would look more at the poo, which is still probably the main reason I wouldn't want to play the game. or how about the sunflower and the bee having barely concealed sex just off camera.
Bear and bird are back again, To avenge their fallen friend. Dead by Grunty once so fat, Now she’s bones right off the bat. All the moves from the first game, Are all here and still the same If you feel out of the loop, Don’t forget that you can poop.
Wow, I just finished watching the Banjo Kazooie LP for the first time a few days ago and I was like "Wow, it's taking Lucah and Jon a long time to get to Banjo Tooie" and now here we are. Four whole years!
Duuude! I JUST finished replaying this yesterday! I really hope you enjoy this one, Lucah! This is my favorite N64 game and probably one of my top 3 games ever!
When you said you were doing another LP with Jon, I was hoping it was this! My brother and I never played the first one, we just had this one and we loved it! So excited!
A lot of people were looking forward to this Lp. I watched the LP of the first game but I have never seen anything about this game, so I'm excited to see it and how you'll do. It's kinda nice that both the original and the sequel run in tandem, gives you a chance to see what changed between them.
Looking forward to watching you experience Tooie for the first time. There's going to be some struggles but Jon will definitely pick up for some of the minigames. I appreciate this is a game that keeps your powers from the original and gives you new powers to use. As someone who only knew about the N64 game back in the day as I didn't own an N64, learning the N64 controller with Tooie might be rough and some of the compression and frame rate is going to take some getting used to. Makes me realise how much cleaner the Xbox version was. I would say now you have seen the opening cutscene which was infamously out of sync in the Xbox version, I wouldn't mind if you switched to the Xbox version now if it would be more approachable.
For the controller, you put your left hand around the middle prong, and your right hand on the right prong. Gently caress the controls when you need to be stealthy, hammer 'em when you need to be strong.
Lucah I am a extremely experienced bk players around here and I want to give you some tips 1: Not everything can be done in a single visit to a level 2: Some areas are very rich in exploration (Especially “That One”) 3: Expect a few daunting bosses 4: Collect Everything 5: Banjo is Super
JEEZ LUCHA, you need to give yourself some more credit, you did great in the first game and I really enjoyed watching you play it. I'm really looking forward to this lets play
…I’m not doing it. I’m already doing opening and closing rhyming schemes for Emile’s blind Banjo-Kazooie LP for TRG. To do this for two concurrent LPs is too much! …OK fine, a celebratory one, but just this one because not even the writers could keep all that rhyming up for two games straight (despite Grunty getting fewer lines here than in Kazooie due to the nature of this game and despite another character speaking (more like yelling) in rhymes to help you remember new moves. I forget if she goes back to rhyming in Nuts & Bolts. I think she does): 4 years ago, so UA-cam swears, did Lucah play with birds and bears. 3 years ago, not to the date, did she leave Grunty to her fate. And yet today, they’ve all come back, with humor still sharp as a tack. From watery ruins to the sky, many times will Lucah die. But fear not! The devs decreed, the lives system, we do not need. So while “Geez Lucah!” may return, no more lives are there to burn. Hot Wife Jon, back to the fore! Guide the Butt Husband once more! Guide her, Banjo, and Kazooie! Mumbo too through Banjo-Tooie! 2:50 Funny how Mumbo had shrunk between the first game and this one. 4:05 I feel like scathing humor aside, Reese is going to like Nuts and Bolts just because of all the silly vehicles she’s going to make. She already got a glimpse of that with Josh’s Switch and Lamp and Jon’s Infallicycle and tank. 4:35 Reese was, at least at the start. Will never tire of the first note door exchange. Lucah: “Duh, how many do we need?” Jon: “Says on the door, you moron.” 5:24 Thanks for warning us about these two, Brentilda. 6:18 Even in his silence, I can hear Jon’s smirk. 7:30 Yes but also no. It gets weird when you try to explain the events of Grunty’s Revenge which is technically Banjo 1.5-ie I guess? Because you have to contend with Grunty’s ghost/spirit in that one by way of a Mecha-Grunty that Klungo made (why he didn’t use that Mecha-Grunty to get the real one out of her makeshift tomb is beyond me. He’s smart but he’s also not). 7:55 Grunty’s actually pretty well put together. Thing is Klungo slapped her back in celebration and the force is what caused her right eye to pop out of its socket. 8:40 It helps when you don’t have all that skin and muscle weighing you down. Just look at how fast Brook from One Piece can go. He can even run on water! Yo ho ho ho ho ho! 10:40 So when’s Jon gonna tell her that every enemy respawns in this game to address the limited health refill issue from the last game? 11:55 The death throe of a mole. 13:25 Already showing one of the improvements over Kazooie: no more paw swipes! Rare must’ve realized how useless that move was and replaced it with Rat-a-tat Rap Lite. Chad is not in this. Too busy partying. 14:52 Very important. Tip-toeing will make parts of this game significantly easier. 20:37 There’s a second one, but Tooty herself never show up. 22:23 Considering that was one of the Game Clearing options for March, wouldn’t you both be playing Conker’s blind? It should be fine. Jirard played it on stream for charity. Chris Sutherland even got to give Big Smoke’s order as Conker. 24:14 More sequels need to do this! Build off of the complete move set from previous entries rather than getting ability amnesia each installment! Like it’s cool when the game properly explains or shows why you can’t use previous moves, and even if it doesn’t sometimes the circumstances lend to some creative thinking as to why, but so few games have you retain everything you’ve learned from the previous ones. Sure you get main stays like the Homing Attack and eventually the Light Dash in Sonic, and you also have simple movesets like Kirby’s that have withstood the rest of time, but no game that I can think of has done it to the degree that Banjo-Tooie has. I really hope that it one day makes it to N64 Online. The act of flying off of a pad does not consume any feathers. Gaining height however or using the Beak Bomb does use up feathers. You do take recoil damage if you hit anything that’s not an enemy with the Beak Bomb though. 26:15 You don’t even need to fly (which by the way, pretty cool that Banjo had a flight pad installed on Spiral Mountain. It, Mumbo’s Mountain, and Bubblegloop Swamp were the only levels that didn’t have one. Grunty’s Furnace Fun if that counts too). If you reach the broken bridge with a high jump, you can climb up it like a ladder. 27:48 It’s Grant Kirkhope. No seriously, Grant voiced this character too. 28:05 It’s worse than that: if you enter any non-Cheato cheats, not only are achievements disabled for that file but SAVING is too. You want to save? You’re not allowed to cheat, even if you’re using aesthetic ones like Big Head mode. Three words: Stop n’ Swap. 29:20 Didn’t Jon do the majority of the swimming in Kazooie after raising up Clanker? I also want to say he did some stuff in RBB. 30:10 Here’s a few hints based on abilities you’ve not tried: -Hold Z and C right to activate Wonder-Wing. Long as you hold Z after activating it you are (mostly) invincible, but it drains your gold feathers over time (and I think some attacks can drain multiple feathers at once). Also enemies have gotten smarter in this game and actively run away from you while you’re using Wonderwing, making it very difficult to use offensively. Also also it does not work against bosses unlike the previous game where it worked against most bosses. -Holding Z and pressing B performs the Beak Barge. You can use this to shoulder bash into doors and small boulders/boxes. -Pressing B while mid air performs the Rat-a-tap Rap. Great for extending jumps after a feather flap and also one of the best offensive moves in your current move set. -I forget if it’s retained in this game but Banjo’s falling animation after Kazooie hits the ground after a ground pound (i.e. when Banjo’s got his arms raised in the air) is immune to fall damage in the previous game. -Swimming controls are press B to dive. Press and hold B to slowly kick your way forward while A dashes. You have significantly better control when kicking, but it is likewise just as slow. Still the skeleton does rhyme, and so shall I in the meantime. Until the point where she stops it, as Jon oft says, “commit to the bit.”
Actually You can stop rhyming after this episode if only because the sisters force Gruntilda to stop rhyming, but I get the feeling you know that fact. Gruntilda resumes her typical speech patterns by the end of this game and in Nuts and Bolts because she kills her two sisters.
The N64 controller is truly an experience that cannot be described. I don't know what three-handed children they used for the play-testing but it's always a wild ride to hold the controller
I would love to see the higher framerate and better graphics! The better controller is a big bonus! :)

Do whatever helps you play comfortably, we'll just be grateful to see you enjoying the game!
GUESS I'LL BE GETTIN' THAT BIRD SEED AFTER ALL
I GUESS SO

@NintendoCapriSun: There's that glass of milk again.

I commend Jon's restraint for having no reaction when Lucah kept mentioning someone dying.
At this point Jon can add "Professional Banjo-Kazooie Guide/Co-Commentator" to his resume
Also also watch out for rubberbanding in a much later stage.
@@Metroid4ever The reason I never 100%-ed this game as a kid lmao
Lucah: "Someone's gonna die in this cutscene!"
Also Lucah: surprised Pikachu face
RIP Bottles aka goggle face (famous insult by Kazooie.)
Well, for them to go that far in a family game is pretty dark. It's one reason this game isn't as loved as the first one.
3:35 “You know you get it from Emile on one end”
Lucahjin, 2022
The fanfic writers will have a field day with this one.
The best duo in history is back! Oh and they started a new lets play as well!
The best duo in history is back! And Banjo and Kazooie are here, too.
It’s funny how Emile is playing the first game on the TRG channel and lucahjin is playing this game at the same time.
And the Dans are playing this one for PlayFrame as well, though they're using the Xbox one. It's going to be fun keeping them all straight in my head.
@@Erthshade wait. I thought Dan hated Tooie
@@CyberBlastoise He does. The other Dan is the one playing, while Carrie the editor tracks the number of complaints made.
@@Erthshade I do not envy Carrie.
@@Erthshade with games where the let's player voices the characters do I kinda want to make a supercut with the best voices together from all the let's players I think did a good job.
This is the most anticipated series ever. Thank you for playing this, it’s awesome.
Ooh that’s a good one! Banjon Lucahzooie that is.
@@Klaxynd Wish I could take credit for that...other people were using that name in the comments when she played Kazooie.
@@alexeidarling Oh I see. XD Still, it has a nice ring to it and I thank you for making the comment or I might have never heard of this pet name.
N64 Tips:
Hold the center stick with your left hand. makes it easier in my opinion.
Be prepared for anything
Be prepared for Anything
Be prepared for ANYTHING
and most importantly
it's all connected.
Oh I’m glad Jon appreciates Nuts and Bolts! I know it’s not the banjo game people wanted (and it really didn’t even need to be a banjo game), but I definitely loved it for what it was.
I think someone said it best as, "why not call it Tiptup nuts and bolts." Could have worked out a WHOLE lot better for them.
Nothing I love more than watching my internet aunt go in blind to a game I have never played before!!! Yes!!! I am soooooo stoked!!!
"He's fine, he's just covered in $#!^. It's a daily occurrence."
-Lucah, 2022
Very good game. I personally like it more than Kazooie.
The only tip I'd give so far is to spend some more time off-screen in this starting area just messing around so you can get used to controlling Banjo and using all the abilities from the first game. But you've probably already recorded a bunch more parts lol
Good luck!
I don't like it better than the first game at all.
here's what I like about it more than the original:
-more, and better, proper boss fights
-an even bigger empahsis on humour and meta commentary
-far more interesting and unique levels
-I like the grander, darker plot but the first game's plot was quite fine as well
-some really fun secrets ;p
Yeah I really enjoyed the second one a lot more. The world felt a lot larger.
Even with Jon’s help this series is going to go on forever. Banjo Tooie is such a massive game, packed with content and fun memories. This game and DK64 are quite possibly he biggest games on the system. Get ready for 15 minutes of this.
You mean Tooie.
NO WAAAAY. THIS IS DEBESTE DAY OF MY LIFE.
Hope you enjoy this game as much as I did Lucah
As someone who experienced the N64 controller as a toddler and later as an adult, the N64 controller is an ungodly abomination among controller, but once you get used to it you don’t even notice it’s grotesque shape lol
6. ua-cam.com/video/TDLMUvIkKPQ8/v-deo.html
Hooray! Good luck! Have fun! Purchase all the tape for our ripped body parts! We'll all be here to told Lucah's hand or knee!
Could be fun if Jon and Toms did a “Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts” let’s play and it was going to be released at the same time 😁
When Jonathan has to be a Banjo-Kazooie expert
CARS?!?!
Then that means we'll have THREE banjo Let's plays....
and then the Infallicycle and the Monado get to fuse together to become... something that the world is not ready for
And we can bear witness their blursed engineering.
Always a good time with Reese and Jon, love those two. Also at 9:22, in the words of Dr. Eggman, "Get a load of this!"
Hey Lucah,
~ While wearing the sprint shoes, you can actually walk on water provided you're running at top speed.
This is my favorite game of all time so I apologize for my ramblings but I have much to say
The first thing I want to recommend is not worrying about going for 100%. Tooie's requirements for beating the game are much more lenient than the first game, and some of the collectibles are downright devious. I think you'll have a better time playing the levels at your own pace and coming back later if you decide to. (You'll need to in a lot of instances too.)
Also if you do commit to the N64 version, the framerate gets reeeal bad in the lategame. There are a few differences between this and the Xbox version but they're very minor, so if you do end up switching I wouldn't blame you in the slightest.
Finally, an actual gameplay tip! Holding down the R-button (which also resets the camera) while swimming or flying makes the controls significantly smoother. I don't think either games tell you this though
That's all for now, but I can guarantee I'll be back with more as the series goes on! I absolutely love this game and I'm so excited for this!!! 💛💛💛
Oh, yeah. Doesn't that make it so that the camera follows behind you?
Wow, I never noticed until now, but the Boulder Blaster spell page literally just says what the witch says when she rhymes Mock with Rock 6:58
oh and the other page says BK brew

I hope you and Jon have fun playing through it!
same here :3
On a whim I rewatched your banjo kazooie lets play just last week! And I'm glad I did, good timing! Excited to finally see banjo tooie! I've never played it before!
Omg I'm super excited! I have been waiting for your new LP Lucah! You're the best!
The Banjo-Kazooie LP is how I found this channel. So I'm happy to see the sequel.
luca and jon videos do wonders for my soul.

The nostalgia has come flooding back, watching this.
Exciting! Loving the comeback to continue a past series!
Omg the memories are rushing back to when I use to watch you
Lucah taking the Kazooie file is absolute win, have fun girl ^-^
I loved watching your Banjo-Kazooie Let's Play years ago and I'm so glad you're back to playing a Banjo game again :D
Really enjoyed your Danganronpa playthroughs. Love your lp style and from first impressions of this one, it's going to be a fun ride! Keep it up!

Wow, I just watched your Banjo Kazooie playthrough this week because I heard Jon mention it on TRG, and now here we are with Tooie! Never played it before, but based on what a friend of mine has told me, this is a much harder game than the first.
Oh heck yeah!
Never thought I'd see this, but super happy it's here now.
This is gonna be fun.
I'm really excited for this! But the N64 version does seem a bit hard on the eyes, I do wonder if the Xbox version would be better
Guh huh! I’m so excited for this! You will do great Lucah, I believe in you!
6:03 there is actual reasoning as to why Kazooie is scared to go outside. Birds have poor night vision and can’t fly properly in the dark
15. ua-cam.com/video/TDLMUvIkKPQ0/v-deo.html
😂 your reading way to far into it
@ omg I forgot I commented this
I loved your guys' playthrough of the first game. and I can't believe that it's been years since that let's play came out.... time flies man....
OH MY GOD, HELL YEAH!
Goddamn, not only you LP one of my favorite VNs ever, but you also LP the sequel to my childhood's most important game, I can't, I am eating soooo good right now
I was scared you won't do it cuz it's SOOOO long, but as long as you have Jon guiding you, everything's gonna be fine!
Hell To The Yesss~
i had a feeling it was gonna be this!!
SOOO Excited to see what kinda shenanigans you'll get up to here
Oh my goodness its actually happening! So excited for you to play this! Especially if the first is anything to go on, this is going to be hilarious! Enjoy the first time lucha!
YEESSSS! I'm so excited to see you play this Lucah. I can promise you, a lot of fun and bursts of laughing galore!

"I like the characters, I just don't like playing."
Honestly, that's me in regards to just about *any* game that requires you to actually be good at video games XD
Dude, HYPE! If it makes you feel any better, this game is much more forgiving than the first one. And swimming will get a lot less scary later on. With the water world, you won't even have to fear drowning. I know that's spoiling a bit, but it's not fun knowing how anxious you may get otherwise.
Ah, the 3D Metroidvania Collect-a-thon! One of my favorites! Good lu-hyuk and have fun!

Yesss, I'm excited to watch you play this! I really enjoyed your playthrough of the first game. I hadn't played it myself in years and so started playing it again when you did. This I haven't played, so it will be fun to watch.

Yay! The game that got me into Banjo Kazooie!
And the timing couldn't be better with Emile playing Kazooie for the first time.

Ah!!! YES! Cheers! Wonderful! I enjoyed watching you play Banjo Kazooie so much back in time, I'm awfully glad you're playing this one now. Have fun!
My favorite UA-camr playing my favorite game from my childhood? This is going to be fucking awesome
30. ua-cam.com/video/TDLMUvIkKPQ0/v-deo.html
Sooooo excited! I cant wait to see you experience all of the personality and silliness this game has to offer!
Bear and bird are back again,
To avenge their fallen friend.
Dead by Grunty once so fat,
Now she’s bones right off the bat.
All the moves from the first game,
Are all here and still the same
If you feel out of the loop,
Don’t forget that you can poop.
Well, she didn't remember how to poop, but in fairness, it is a different controller this time. I guess I was sort of right?
Wow, I just finished watching the Banjo Kazooie LP for the first time a few days ago and I was like "Wow, it's taking Lucah and Jon a long time to get to Banjo Tooie" and now here we are. Four whole years!
Duuude! I JUST finished replaying this yesterday!
I really hope you enjoy this one, Lucah! This is my favorite N64 game and probably one of my top 3 games ever!
When you said you were doing another LP with Jon, I was hoping it was this! My brother and I never played the first one, we just had this one and we loved it! So excited!
Instant Like for this series!
A lot of people were looking forward to this Lp. I watched the LP of the first game but I have never seen anything about this game, so I'm excited to see it and how you'll do. It's kinda nice that both the original and the sequel run in tandem, gives you a chance to see what changed between them.
OMG YAAAAAY I was really hoping for this!
Unexpected but very welcome! Excited for this :D
I am excited to watch this playthrough. You got this Lucahjin! I believe you will do great and Jon you got this too!
I've been waiting for this! anytime an episode comes out I will rush to my computer to watch it!
For the controller, you put your left hand around the middle prong, and your right hand on the right prong. Gently caress the controls when you need to be stealthy, hammer 'em when you need to be strong.
I am very excited for Tooie!
There’s one world that is really, really complicated but you have Jon with you Lucah, so you should be fine
Yay! I'm so pumped to watch your journey with this game! Loved watching the first game series, good luck! 🥰🥰
i’m literally in the middle of rewatching the banjo-kazooie play through & this pops up. how wonderful! 😆
YEEES I've been waiting for this one sooo bad! sick!
Lucah I am a extremely experienced bk players around here and I want to give you some tips
1: Not everything can be done in a single visit to a level
2: Some areas are very rich in exploration (Especially “That One”)
3: Expect a few daunting bosses
4: Collect Everything
5: Banjo is Super
"Welcome to the only appearance of Tootie the whole game!"
Technically untrue lol
Still, there are only two appearances so they are literally half-right.
JEEZ LUCHA, you need to give yourself some more credit, you did great in the first game and I really enjoyed watching you play it. I'm really looking forward to this lets play
YES!! A new Lucah and Jon series! 😃✨
I think she does):
4 years ago, so UA-cam swears, did Lucah play with birds and bears.
Lucah: “Duh, how many do we need?”
Jon: “Says on the door, you moron.”
5:24 Thanks for warning us about these two, Brentilda.
30:10 Here’s a few hints based on abilities you’ve not tried:
-Hold Z and C right to activate Wonder-Wing.
Actually
You can stop rhyming after this episode if only because the sisters force Gruntilda to stop rhyming, but I get the feeling you know that fact.
Gruntilda resumes her typical speech patterns by the end of this game and in Nuts and Bolts because she kills her two sisters.
Fun Fact: This game has a two player mode. Though it was never debugged and by extension implemented, but it can be unlocked via gameshark.
If they can hack it, they should try it!
The N64 controller is truly an experience that cannot be described. I don't know what three-handed children they used for the play-testing but it's always a wild ride to hold the controller
