I’d like to see a raid where you fight the end boss 3 times, once early in the raid, again in the middle, and a final time at the end where the boss is at its peak power. As the bosses between the 3 encounters die, the end boss is empowered and grows more tainted and angry. It would be cool for a boss to truly recognize that all of his comrades fell as he couldn’t hold back the adventurers storming the raid.
Dathea was one of the members of the Primal Council, her fight is an all in gambit trying to stop you and avenging her brother. I think that's the closest we got.
@@arforafro5523 you gave me another interesting idea by mentioning council: I think it’d be cool if you fight each council member by themselves leading up to the second to last boss, (just cause idk how good a final boss council fight would be) and the second to last boss would be all of them together fighting relentlessly to protect the sole leader of their council (the final boss). I can see how fighting the same bosses might get repetitive, but I think blizz could make some insane design choices w it, such as a final phase (or even first ever hidden final phase for a non last boss in mythic?) where all the council members combine for the final single target burn.
I won't lie, nothing brings me more joy then to see council of dreams put into swamp tier, I hate that fight with a passion and glad its getting the shit it deserves.
Council fights in modern wow will forever be a disaster because of how overbloated the fight is with uninteresting, easy mechanics. Hopefully this is the last we see a council fight in raids in this style
@@elstupido4575completely disagree. i love council fights and it’s saddening that they are now demoted to “early tier” bosses. some of them turn out to be bad not bc council fights are bad per se, but bc they are challenging to create and implement properly. there are plenty of amazing council fights in recent tiers (amalgamation chamber, prototype pantheon, council of blood to name a few)
Would be interesting, with Max's platform, to interview a dev after a race that created some of these bosses. They could shed some light on how they intended the boss to play vs how the raiders ended up actually doing it, or why things had to dramatically change between PTR testing and raid release (especially when some of those decisions seem questionable).
Volcaross get too much hate. It's easy but the run away then soak dance is fun and it's cool in early prog getting to barely beat it with the whole floor lava. Primal council was always just a clusterfuck of aoe spam and sprinting around. Volcaross easy B tier.
If you want the real tier list, go into under cover raid mode and ask the bros. that would be the ultimate tier list video. We dont want your list for mythic bosses, we want to know what the population of heroic raiders love
I could absolutely give a tier list for my heroic experience through the xpac for both guild AND pug perspectives. would be pretty similar in general with some REAL outliers that might even shock most lol
Wild. I never progged Mythic Raz, so I can't comment. But HC Raz was one of the best fights I've ever done. I loved nearly everything about it, Epic arena that closes in around you in P3, add phase to blast some AOE CD's, platform changes to make the fight feel alive. Love love loved it.
Ya Raz may go down as strongest heroic end tier boss but shitty mythic end tier. I remember progging mythic as tank on DH so it was truly boring. Sark p3 for tanking makes it better but maybe not overall
They keep going bigger and grander with fight design but often times it's still just one big single target burn guy that are the best fights. Sludgefist, Halondrus, Terros, Rashok. Fights like that.
That's because throughput fights challenge every player to play their class at the absolute peak. Get the biggest numbers and squeeze out the last 1-2% of performance. For people who like games like WoW it doesn't get any more fun than that. Dodging shit on the floor and doing meme mechanics isn't much fun for most players and just distracts from what is fun, which is playing your class really well.
Tindral and Sark are the two best fights they've made I think. I actually strongly dislike burns. Terros was cool, Volcoross sucks, Halondrus is more Tindral than Terros. I do like Smolderon but think Larodar is WAY better a fight. Actually loved Broodkeeper as well. These single target burns are only cool if they're done well. They are in no way close their peak design fights though. Blast Furnace, Tindral, Anduin, Painsmith, Denathrius, Fallen Avatar, but this list they made is also turbo swamp.

The color design of Nymue was fucking ass. Light green on light green on light green. If you are a healer focusing on raid frames, you can't see the stun lines coming in your peripheral vision.
The range for evoker is a massive issue. The evoker range on nymue is just past the line bordering the melee quadrant, so if you are not in the first 3 quadrants you just cant dps. Also if you get any bombs you are just out of luck. I don't feel like mythic tindral can be rated so highly if even the slightest change in comp makes it awful i feel like you should be able to do multiple comps and it still be fine to challenging ofc but not making you feel like ass cause you maybe lost/gained people in your roster
Honestly if they're just going to keep rehashing the same content, maybe they should diversify the perspectives a bit and find people that aren't hall of famers join in.
Huh? What was fun about Broodkeeper healing? There was literally nothing going on in that fight for like 6 minutes only for all hell to break loose in that last phase, which is always stupid.
I guess it depends on your role as to how fun it was. As a mage all I did was blast a "target dummy" for 5 minutes before the real fight began. Terrible boss design in my opinion.
One mechanic that should've been on Magmorax was the chains breaking and tilting the platform. You have to spread groups to counter/balance the tilt. The enrage is basically losing more and more space to lava as the chains break. Also a dps check cause casters would have to account for the tilt, meaning they'd have to keep running to avoid sliding into the lava.
My guild is very melee heavy and it took us 3x as many pulls to kill heroic Smolderon than it did to kill heroic Fyrakk and Tindrell combined. Melee heavy on that boss is actually the worst feeling in the world
Zskarn was just another BL on pull boss and turn your brain off and only was somewhat "fun and challenging" during those early weeks since everybody was like +440 by the second or third week so it was just getting obliterated Echo was fun on hc though the whole WA bullshit on mythic ruined it for everybody
To me that fight would be twice as good if the damage ticks were half as much and twice as often. I HATED the 3 second big ticks, made it feel like you were just sniping heale every 3 seconds.
Damn, I really liked Raszageth personally on Mythic. Probably going to be my favourite end boss of the expansion (Havent reached Fyrakk yet tho, damn you tindral...)
When starting this expansion as pres then moving to aug midway through, I despised dathia with so much spreading, counsel of dreams and nymue with being just out of range to do anything while soaking.
I remember Broodkeeper Diurna as a pretty cool boss to fight. It's mostly due to a fact, that we decided withy my guildies to split raid in like 11 DPS who deal with adds and 3 single target DPS who only damage the boss and do eggs mechanic. Me, as an assa rogue, had a brilliant time fighting her :)
@@oKingsWild Either you're not a caster, healer or doing Mythic because this fight is easy Swamp. And may god have mercy on your soul if you're a preservation Evoker.
I disagree on Tindral. Even after he was well on farm on our heroic group, we'd lose 2-3 people to dragonriding. It killed a lot of joy for the raid for those players.
Regardless of how much praise I hear for Tindral, I just do not agree. I absolutely despise Tindral, I'd sooner be benched on early prog than to get into deep prog on this fight.
Its Fun to see how big the Gap in perspective is between RWF Guys and Normo Mythic Raider bc i just started Smolderon and the Swirlies are dogshit as fuck. Yes they are supposed to have indicators where they go. But im not a giga Brain to instantly gain information of 4 Swirlies around me and where they go to find the gap. Also the Visuals make this fight just dogshit aswell. Mechanics are not that hard but blizzard managed to makes this just annoying overall and then the Private WA. Cant wait to go to tindral because despite here listed as S tier i only heard its dogshit aswell and you might become epilepitc by all the Visuals
I play Moonkin and I fucking HATE Council of Dreams. Bosses jumping all over the place doing mechanics that don't matter while I just basically tunnel smashing the same button for 3 minutes.
I play Enhance Shaman for M+ and all Raiding, through Mythic, EXCEPT for Council. That fight is just a clusterfuck for melee of dodging bear swipes, chasing the kill target across the room, being a Duck, making sure you are in charge line. But as Ele i just press Lava Burst for X minutes until boss dies. Haven't seen such a disparity in boss difficulty between classes/specs since shit like Krosus in Nighthold. AND THEN YOU GET TO DO IT ALL AGAIN ON THE NEXT BOSS NYMUE.
40k views in a day and there are maybe… 100 people in the world who give a sht about race to world first version of the boss? Lets talk about it half of the video!
As I've said before, using awful weak aura solutions to a mechanic is not a design flaw with the mechanic unless the mechanic is near impossible to solve otherwise, and it's wildly unfair to dock points from the fight based on issues WITH YOUR WEAK AURA.
Used to like Council of Dreams for memes and chaos but every week I hate it more and more. Ducks fk up your dps, random jumps and boring mechanics just kill fun. I’m a melee btw.
Why is there a random discord notification in the video? This is a fun video idea, but I have this on my second monitor while I am doing other stuff. Not sure the idea is interesting enough for me to risk being jebaited with a fake discord notification while I am playing another game and listening with half an ear...
put a discord message sound effect there because there's a discord message popping up there on screen not very random imo but will find a seperate sound effect in the future
please lets not get into calling fights where some nps has to be healed "healer fights" they suck. Id rather p1 sark be refered to as a healer fight/phase since its a check, rather than a UI diff
The fyrakk takes are turbo cringe except for Dorki. 80% of the fight is so bad and then phase 3 is OK. And Sark is A tier? Turbo wrong. Fyrakk looks like a massive step down over Tindral, visually. Tindral and Sark are the absolute tits. I cannot believe they originally put Fyrakk above Sark. Sark is 7:30 of action packed perfection I think. They say phase 2 was weak I think it's all setting up for phase 3. Tindral and Sark, I think, are the best fights they've made. Tindral is absolutely next level. Terros was cool actually but the single target burn fights I strongly dislike. Brood should be higher as well, I thought that fight prog wise was the most fun to watch and it's also fun to play, best boss in Vault. This list is turbo swamp.
on paper it looked cool, but once i got out of heroic and normal and did mythic... good lord that boss was the biggest pile of trash i have seen since blast furnace
@@xtracool12 100% and when you get to the fucking weak aura not working for some people, and then some people having the out of date one then everyone has to update to the same one and at the start people not having bigwigs and refusing to swap. Oh and you could say "this is why addons suck" WELL GOOD LUCK DOING THIS WITHOUT A WEAKAURA. In the short amount of time you have to do these, 99% of guilds could not do it on mythic without a weak aura fact. And the legacy of this boss is private auras making the WHOLE game worse. SWAMP SWAMP SWAMP.
I did not hate it at all. Despite having some 300 pulls on it and not even killing it in the end. The biggest issue (as with many bosses, especially in Aberrus) was the absurdly bursty damage. People going from 100 to 0 in literally less than a second is super frustrating and a bullshit difficulty.
@@bestpinoza Mythic? Because everyone in every guild I spoke to state how much they hate Echo of Nelth. Never heard anyone even say it's mid till now. If you only did heroic you probably have no idea what we're talking about. And a good 90% of it is the weak aura bullshit but that's because they forced these weak aura changes that don't work. Yeah I get some people are complaining about them but literally just ignore them and go back to how things were, these changes have failed. And I have to take into account that the boss is designed with these weak aura's in mind and so has to be given Swamp Tier because they half knew it would end up like this.
Started doing Council Mythic yesterday and I honestly don't get the hate. Unless you are one of the unfortunate people doing the ducks (which is admittedly an atrocious mechanic) it's nothing too terrible. Yes, it's a chaotic mess but I think that's the point and I actually think it's kind of fun. Might be because I'm a healer though. Then again I disagree with quite a few of these (only looking at the final ranking not having heard the explanations, though I've heard them before).
This has been the weakest expansion for raiding content by far. Amirdrassil on average did try to save it with a few good fights. But for all of SL's negatives they made some absolutely amazing fights there (and some complete shit ones - spell queuing and having to stop dps is always awful - especially when it changes week to week). Terros, Fryakk, Rashok are the clear winners from this expansion. I do not share the same opinion of tindral. Dragonriding is shit and forced in, the seeds are just RNG for most guilds (obviously different on mythic) so pull to pull you'll have a billion in one direction and 3/4 of the raid running the other. Its also extremely boring and simple outside of dealing with the seeds. One of my guilds has been together with the same core ~10-13 people for 6+ years now. Abberus and Vault were the only times we've ever stopped raiding before a patch hit. My other guild that limps towards CE (usually very late in the patch) had a very similar experience. Razageth was killed once and no one wanted to even bother for mounts after, Sark only a few times but the problems in that raid were literally all the mid bosses with the absolutely swamp ass tier being echo. We're on Smolderon now and there's usually a sign of fatigue by this point - hasn't shown yet. I'm sure from a RWF perspective this expansion has been good. But from an AOTC to barely CE perspective its easily the worst overall expansion for raid content so far.
As per usual the judgement is super biased towards DPS. I get that dps is the majority of players but come on. Some of these bosses (Zaqali Assault is a perfect example) are god awful as a healer there's nothing fun going on whatsoever it's just a snooze fest. I would rather do Council of Dreams a million times again over Zaqali Assault as a healer. (even if Council is also a pretty boring fight to heal, but at least there's stuff going on to heal sometimes)
Playing as a DK made sennarth a non issue honestly, deaths advance completely nullifies the web pull mechanic. Definitely needed to make the journey up to the top about half as long though
in s1 i still mained mm hunter and i think we all know all mm hunters had a blast playing primal council but i have to agree on the fact that the fight was a bit too easy to give it a better tier 🫤

Kurog was an easy S as a healer.
To me that fight would be twice as good if the damage ticks were half as much and twice as often. I HATED the 3 second big ticks, made it feel like you were just sniping heale every 3 seconds.
Yeah, I had a blast healing Kurog as well.
Blizzard really set themselves up for pronunciation failure with a name like Nymue (Nih-moo-ay)
Tindral is what you get when you give an ak47 to a druid to spray your raid with mechanics...
Nymue in A? Oh dear god boys. We need a chat about your A tier picks....Nymue is SWAMP.
Nymue is A. Easy but high importance mechs, and if you cant see stuff you're blind.
@@oKingsWild Either you're not a caster, healer or doing Mythic because this fight is easy Swamp. And may god have mercy on your soul if you're a preservation Evoker.
@@Theparadoxd7 Hard agree.
This list is turbo swamp
Idk I still feel like Guldan clears a lot of those end bosses you’ve mentioned and is over 10 minutes….
I disagree on Tindral. Even after he was well on farm on our heroic group, we'd lose 2-3 people to dragonriding. It killed a lot of joy for the raid for those players.
good video
It's a two hour video and it's been out for literally 1min haha you must watch videos on x1000 speed hahaha
@@so_pro Dratnos is in it, so it's automatically a good video.
he is the greatest fan truly
I don’t get why blizzard is so allergic to making council fights that are just fun cleave fights the entire time, like the fallen protectors in siege.
Ok so dathea was cracked and had lots of strats. My guild did a 3 tank strat and only sent tanks up. Goated boss 20 pull prog
Regardless of how much praise I hear for Tindral, I just do not agree. I absolutely despise Tindral, I'd sooner be benched on early prog than to get into deep prog on this fight.
max has low APM
Anyone else hear the faintest song playing in the background of this video, or am I going crazy? Sound like fucking elevator music.
fyrakk phase 2 is so bad i dont think it can go above B tier. but if you made an end boss phase tier list, phase 3 might be one of my favorite ever
yup. Idk how anybody is putting Fyrakk into high tiers. P1 is fun and pretty easy, P3 is fairly tense and rewarding feeling but P2??? yeah no.
I understand why you like rashok, but having progged it as a prot warrior it was miserable.
I genuinely don’t know why terros is in S tier, that was probably a top 3 least favorite fight of mine from this expansion lmao
Cant wait to go to tindral because despite here listed as S tier i only heard its dogshit aswell and you might become epilepitc by all the Visuals
do the same with anothers expansions
As an evoker I can say that Nymue specifically sucks... like really f'ing sucks.
Igira definitely has too much HP
AND THEN YOU GET TO DO IT ALL AGAIN ON THE NEXT BOSS NYMUE.
claiming to love being the ones to figure out bosses on your own is wild considering the ffxiv stuff xdd
40k views in a day and there are maybe… 100 people in the world who give a sht about race to world first version of the boss? Lets talk about it half of the video!
Damn max baby ego over raz pepekeke
brickedup
As I've said before, using awful weak aura solutions to a mechanic is not a design flaw with the mechanic unless the mechanic is near impossible to solve otherwise, and it's wildly unfair to dock points from the fight based on issues WITH YOUR WEAK AURA.
25 yards can go into the pot of nice try but no thank you, i want full range so many fights suck just because of range
Used to like Council of Dreams for memes and chaos but every week I hate it more and more. Ducks fk up your dps, random jumps and boring mechanics just kill fun. I’m a melee btw.
Council of dreams is A tier maybe B. I'm a healer but love doing that fight with our guild
Why is there a random discord notification in the video? This is a fun video idea, but I have this on my second monitor while I am doing other stuff. Not sure the idea is interesting enough for me to risk being jebaited with a fake discord notification while I am playing another game and listening with half an ear...
put a discord message sound effect there because there's a discord message popping up there on screen
not very random imo but will find a seperate sound effect in the future
please lets not get into calling fights where some nps has to be healed "healer fights" they suck.
Echo not in Swamp is the biggest mistake of this list, it was/is the one fight everyone universally hated.
on paper it looked cool, but once i got out of heroic and normal and did mythic... good lord that boss was the biggest pile of trash i have seen since blast furnace
I thought echo was about a c, low b. There are definitely fights that it was far better than this expansion
I don't understand the hate for council of dreams and the hype for rashok at all.
like like like like like like like like like! do you have any more vocabulary or are you cali from the valley ?
I hate twitch YT clip videos and Dratnos is getting overexposed
experiments was by far the worst fight this entire expansion.
Arrest me I fw Raszageth thought it felt great to beat. Also certified Sarkerath hater very boring end boss and did many times for no mount skin
Big agree with this.
😂😂😂 the usual, lose a rwf and this dude hates the boss that stomped them
Playing as a DK made sennarth a non issue honestly, deaths advance completely nullifies the web pull mechanic. Definitely needed to make the journey up to the top about half as long though
in s1 i still mained mm hunter and i think we all know all mm hunters had a blast playing primal council but i have to agree on the fact that the fight was a bit too easy to give it a better tier 🫤
