[PCSX2] How To Easily Enable 60FPS In All PS2 Kingdom Hearts Games

- This video quickly explains how to get all the PS2 Kingdom Hearts games to run at 60 frames per second.
(sorry audio is a bit quiet, first video)

This involves three steps:
1. Find out your CRC number
2. Create a .pnach file for your game using your CRC number and the appropriate cheat code.
3. Enable cheats
I will tell you how to do all of this in the video.

Do not paste in such things as
"Kingdom Hearts 2

That is just me telling what game the following code is for. Only paste the code that follows that statement such as "//60 FPS

Wow, I am so late on these. I have played the originals on the PS2, and the highest completed were Proud mode. I didn't know there was a critical mode, and never knew the Final Mix versions were translated. However, they are easily obtainable to download. It makes me want to play these over again. I want to conquer these with a Kingdom Key runs again. Wish me luck on the Lingering Will and Absent Silhouettes.

The 60 fps gave some of the textures a flickering effect. Like the moogle holograms and and the sun in twilight town. Any idea why?
I did what was mentioned in the instructions, but nothing has changed. It's still running around 20FPS. I assume it is the processor that is slowing everything down. I have an Intel Core i5-6200U processor.
Will there be ever such patches for the PAL versions? These are the only releases ever of KH I and II to feature voice acting for other languages, and playing them in 25FPS is getting really old.

I did all the steps but it’s still running slow for me one minute its at 100 and then another minute it’s at 20 or 30
like 3 years later and I'm just realizing my code had b00b in it. haha boob.

To all that doesn't work, there's 2 cheat folders 1 in directory and 1 in document folder (same as bios directory)
you just have to place *pnach* file there and boom! it's work!
After you run the iso you can see the *green* message in log file say: Found XXXpnach file
it's mean it did that file.
4x native + 60fps = 2.5 HD

I've heard that the additions to KH2 Final Mix makes it significantly better than the original KH2. What about KH1 Final Mix, is it worth playing over vanilla KH1? Is there also an English patch for KH1 Final Mix? Thanks.
There is indeed an English patch! kh1fm adds some new cutscenes as well as the mysterious figure secret boss (I think its FM exclusive but I might be wrong about that) there is also the additional difficulty: Proud mode. if you're like me, and always love the harder difficulty modes the final mix version is definitely worth it. There are also some balance changes that change some weapons. But I think that's all the changes. The KH2 final mix is significantly more different in what it changes. So kh1fm isn't too different but I still enjoyed it. I'd link to where I patched mine but I actually don't remember since it was around a year ago at this point. But you might be able to find it easily online.
There isn't an english patch for KH1FM, there is an english version.

This isn't where I got mine, but there are indeed several english patches for Kh1fm. as well as 2fm. EDIT: it got removed for future people seeing this, just google it and you'll find something I'm sure.

but i have the 60fps cheat in the pnach and everything. it still isn’t 60fps. it only looks like 60 when i disable frame rate limiting but it’s just sped up. i’ve been dealing with playing at 30fps

Helllo! Not sure if you will see this but I'm running a fully modded KH2FM iso, equipped with tons of shaders and other mods to make it look and run like the PS4 version. Only problem is when I die and play as Mickey I get the white screen and it just stays white screened, even after Mickey goes away. Is there any way to fix this, do you know?

I run at a clean 30 Fps (60 according to PCSX2)
My specs are
i7 10750-H (6-cores 12-multithreaded)
GTX 2070 Max-Q
32 GBs of ram
Basically the 60 fps isn't that stable from the beginning, is it?
I mean, its stable, but there are a few minor bugs (and in some locations glaring bugs) but for the people that just gotta have that silky smooth 60fps, it's worth using for the majority of the game. The framerate is smooth if your rig can handle it. Mine couldn't while recording but otherwise ran just fine.
I tried running re chain in 60 frames and it crashes when I try to load a save file. What can I do to make the game stop crashing?
have you tried starting a new saved game? as you can see in the video, I didn't know you could do Re:chain of memories until I was almost done recording, so I don't have very much knowledge of the game. My guess is that you might have messed up the pnach file or possibly pasted the wrong code. Try making a new .pnach file and see how it works. I'll look into it a bit more, tell me if you figure it out.

Also, when making the .pnach file, be sure to only type in this:
//60 FPS
patch=1,EE,004386B0,extended,00000000
if you want to put the name of the game in the file, do it like this:
//kingdom hearts re:chain of memories.
if you type the name without the slashes, pcsx2 will try to read it as a code and it will likely mess something up.
what does NTSC-U mean?
NTSC-U is the region code of the game, so say you buy a copy of the game in the United States, its region code would be NTSC-U. If you bought the game in Japan, it would be NTSC-J. I have that stuff typed out in the description above each code so the reader can know what version of the game the code is for.

Ik this is late but i tried KH 1 with my old laptop with this spec :
2GB RAM
32MB VRAM
Intel Atom 1,45GHz ( 4 CPUs)
And it worked well, 75-100% speed.
But ofc with custom setting. U can use the custom setting by just searching "PCSX2 Best setting for low end spec"

Few questions and a rant:
- My game is slow. How do I fix that? I made it better with guess work, and looking it up and fixed the voices so they dont sound drunk anymore. If I remember correctly, it says 60+ for speed? It drops to 35-40 ish in cutscene though.
- How do I change what appears in the white bar above the game? I can't remember.
- How would you feel if while playing the prologue minigames:
1) You could only get 30 munny each game, with 50 once or twice*.
2) You thought you needed like 800 munny.
3) You found out later you only needed like 100 or so.
4) You could've been done this DAYS ago.
*: Because slowness.
