I like the review. Still thinking of buying one in 8.3 with the slick bottom. The look of the shape is amazing for me. The 8.25 as well but I ride 8.0 decks and the 8.0 twin tail isn’t the same shape. In my skateshop, they have them all the time. No issues to get one. If I like a board I buy 3 of them and don’t need to worry for 3-5 months, depending on how much and where I skate.
Honestly I dont want to skate any other shape anymore. Only bad thing is the grind to get one so I have to buy 2 boards a time when I finally find some.
Let’s go to some clips , 10 min of scenery , lol , naa but fo real that looks like some fun sloppy time , just ordered my second twin tail , I had a couple deathwish twin nose ( too long , wheelbase was just off) now that Ace has 8.5 trucks the Ishod 8.25 with 8.33 wheelbase is rad , at the end of the day my street setup will always be normal but for park this is it love it. That they are not ubiquitous is a problem though for sure ...
Great video! You are right, these days it is hard to get hooked on a certain shape because there just isn’t enough product available. What city do you live in? The spots look great in all your videos! Keep it up man I’ll keep watching!
@@KevinNiceTry you will have to break out the snowskate haha. Good luck. I’m in Wisconsin on a farm and luckily have a small indoor (with pellet stove) spot in my old chicken coop to skate. It will have to do when the snow flies!
Glad to hear your thoughts on this and your experience. Seems like Twin Tails etc are becoming more prevalent. I just saw SoCal Skateshop get a bunch of Twin Tails. You're totally right about a local store having problems getting these. That is a very good point. I've checked mine and they don't get many twin tails at all.
Yeah just sucks if you really like them you have to buy a few at a time almost. I can adjust to a slightly different nose and tail on a regular board. I dont think it would be as easy if you skated a bunch of twins and went back to a normal.
@@KevinNiceTry Hey man. What do you think of this? If you could move a truck further in or out on one side of a twin tail would that help out with combatting the sogginess you experienced? Reason I ask is I saw a pair of Caliber TKP trucks that have extra mounting holes on them so one can expand or shorten the wheelbase further. What if you on the front side you used the further bolt pattern and on the tail you used closer bolt pattern? Would this give you more of a tail to pop off of?
They make a product thats for re drilling holes on the decks. I mean all boards work differently for everyone. It might help one person and hurt another's pop. It's really personal preference and body build. I.E. - a taller person might like long wheelbase and that same board for a shorter guy might be horrible.
Good review!! I ride one now and i dont have any problem with not having a nose. But what you say about not being able to get another one when the time come really bother me. I got the 8.3 and i love the shape but i prefer the 8.25 full SE or the primitive 8.375. Like you say this is a fun board but i will go for à more traditional shape for the next one.
Just ordered one to give a go. I do tent to like flatter boards so we will see how it goes. I like to try everything. How long did you skate it for? Did you run new tricks with it? I am not sure if I am going to put new tricks in it or just put in all new bushings to try and even out the trucks, I normally ride my back truck tighter than the front. Guessing I can't/shouldn't do that on this. Anyway, appreciate the video.
To be honest i didn't like it. Tricks like noseslides and stuff felt super weird and if your shop doesn't always have them you can't get consistent on it.
@@KevinNiceTry I understand availability may not be good. I don't plan to stick with it but am interested in trying it. I try everything. I don't do real reviews on my channel but I skate a lot of boards. If I do love it I let people know I love it, like Welcome Chris Miller boards or flight decks over Santa Cruz VX but never really a review. My skill set should review anything haha.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding Reviews are just personal preference most of the time, lots of people love those boards. I always try to mention that these are just my opinions lol. People like hearing different perspectives i guess. Give it a try. Who knows.
Real quality control is going down the toilet. The twin tail thing is just a fad. Plan b tried it a few years ago and it didn't work. People are acting like this is the first time they've ever Saw this.
why tf would you focus a perfectly good ass board . Could have gave it to a local kid in need instead
He could yes…would be nice but its his board. You can do whatever you want with your things.
Can’t expect free stuff…he paid for it.

You always review product I have or want! Lol cheers from San Francisco
Haha awesome! I'm giving my thoughts on the smaller set up next week, stay tuned!

Thanks so much! It's Buffalo NY. Getting ready for snow unfortunately haha.

Bro you’re skating at an empty diy by yourself with a mask on?? 😊
It was cold, and I had one in the car. I wouldn't overthink it, haha.

isnt it supposed to be more driven by it being pro board?
