People want others to want them. They may do things to show you, rather than just having an adult conversation (ie. “Hey, I was thinking about you the other day..”) and if you don’t notice their attempts to subvert your attention every time and talk in detail about their needs, their concerns, and rub their “what can I get out of this person” mentality, you get thrown away. Skateboarding is not easy but so fun! I’m 35 and never landed a kickflip but still have fun just carving and taking hills. Best wishes in your journey!
Followed Andy one time on my bike watching him skate up the boardwalk and he did trick after trick after trick and more tricks, never losing momentum and never messing up. Andy is naturally fluid, super cool and knows girls that skate better than you. 💙
Skate Tales episode of Andy is long time overdue but I'm really glad it finally happened Madars and Andy is a great combo of innovative skaters Also happy to see Rog in front of the cam! you rock Rog
“I just want to push people to think, rather than accepting what they’re given.” Andy is so brilliant, that sentiment should be repeated across all hobbies. Keep it up man 🤙🫡
Andy is everything skateboarding needed, humble honesty, artistic endeavour and love for all beings. Canadian bc philosophy brought to skateboarding is so nice to see with young people. I grew up in invermere bc moved to calgary in 2000 to film skateboarding, got to film thomas, koston, and many others in my 20s. havent been a part of skateboarding for many years, but still watch videos all the time. when andy came on the scene and brought his philosophy into his art with skateboarding is so refreshing. ive said it before and said it again this is the kind of person young folks need in the world today. good on ya andy. as someone who has had a head injury , even with a helmet ( hit my jaw hard on a fall) I love his advocacy towards helmets and having a i dont care what others think vibe is important. this here is a true role model. Makes me want to get back on a skateboard even if its just easy simple stuff. no having to go big or go home, its all about the fun and the art of it. Nowadays im older, got kids that are grown up and It makes me happy they have people with a good world outlook to look up too in skateboarding today
How can you hate this dude! He’s bringing back my favorite part of the skate culture. I’m from OC and now In Iowa and I have a board on order. Born in 87 and was sponsored at one point but haven’t skated in 15 years. Can’t wait! ✌️
Got the mind beaming, glad to see andy skate i feel like he fits the scene and hope it inspires other aging young men to stay on the board as much as they can!! I know we are all different with style... nice to see somebodies work-out
Mike V probably gets overlooked a little bit when we talk about versatility. He's been skating everything (street, transition, flatground/freestyle) for decades now and has very clearly paved the way for a guy like Andy to come along and be successful.
I was a 3 sport athlete and skated for kix and always wore a helmet and Andy said it perfect. YOU ARE YOUR BRAIN. My skate friends at first game me a hard time but when I explained my college tuition relied on .350 batting average not landing on my skull skating they got it. I could take bigger risk if I just protected my head. Imagine all the kids who don't have the guts to stick up for themselves and are injured not wearing and they wanted to. Andy's doing something that is saving minds and lives and future outcomes. This goes beyond his talent, it affirms why he's talented, he's so smart and that brain deserves protecting.
Hes got the skills, hes got the safety, hes even got the name! Andy is such a humble dude, and hes so scientific with his approach to skating. What an amazing guy!
He’s the most creative and refreshing skater ever. People that hate on helmets are tripping because skateboarding is the highest impact sport out there.
@RedBullSkateboarding This is just beautiful! How amazing it is to bring us this pure soul and massively talented guy. Thanks for this episode. I can’t wait to watch the whole series and make sure my son watches it too when he grows up.
Saw his ad on Instagram. Had to watch the full vid because I gotta respect someone who decided to wear a brain bucket while skating. What is "cool" and appropriate in skate culture is often hegemonic. Glad to see this guy doing his own thing!
Been a fan of his forever. Absolutely love how he incorporates freestlye into skate and is unapologetically himself. Gives off nothing but great vibes.
Andy is such a humble dude, always gives credit to all the old school skaters that inspired him ! Such a chill dude! And not to mention he can shred, he is a legend on a skateboard!!!

“How to define my skateboarding?” The title said it! It’s “Versatile Skateboarding”. The way how Andy thinks, imagine if Red Bull or whoever asked Andy to come up with a Versatile Skateboarding contest. Makes you wonder what will he come up with for that contest.
Definition of one with his board. Kudos to Andy on staying true to himself in times where it’s so easy to conform to what’s expected. Cheers big dog 🙏🏼
What Andy said they did to him just because he wore a helmet ⛑ but Tony Hawk wore a helmet n they never treated him that bad but he did get his fare share of problems for the products he endorsed. Also Rodney got some lash back too.Haters gonna hate😠😜😕 Keep doing you Andy🙌🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽

OG skater since '76. We had to use volley ball pads and hockey helmets for protection...and was glad to have it. Been knocked cold ass out on slams in fullpipes and gnarly pools while wearing helmets. TBI ain't cool but Andy is;wear yer lid n wrist pads, kids. BTW,we dig his wheels too. Another excellent mash-up of late 70's'-2023 "best of" wheels.
I'd rather watch Andy Anderson over any street contest ever. Period, including Nyjah and all them. Just sit back because this kid Andy IS the essence of skateboarding.
It’s crazy because in one breath he’s all about the vibe and the feel of skating and the next breath it’s super analytical and and technical about it. It’s this balance that is uniquely Andy that’s so fun to watch.

I graduated as well, and that's why I always respected this dude. I'm a hypocrite on flatland though. I really like the way the longboarders promote safety. Seeing these people who take massive injuries bc they wanna look cool is so goofy to me. They could be doing 10/10 skating and still all I see is a goof and a bad influence, lol. Like kickflipping on a platform where you can fall! OH GENIUS. Let's respect those losers! /s SLS blows nuts! Commercialized competition skating is lame. I'd be watching this guy and parts and docs like this over that stuff any day. I'd rather watch bmx freestyle, or Moto Trials w no money in it over xgames. Followed Andy one time on my bike watching him skate up the boardwalk and he did trick after trick after trick and more tricks, never losing momentum and never messing up. Andy is naturally fluid, super cool and knows girls that skate better than you. 💙
Skate Tales episode of Andy is long time overdue but I'm really glad it finally happened
Madars and Andy is a great combo of innovative skaters
Also happy to see Rog in front of the cam! you rock Rog
Agreed!!!! ❤
“I just want to push people to think, rather than accepting what they’re given.” Andy is so brilliant, that sentiment should be repeated across all hobbies. Keep it up man 🤙🫡
The nail that sticks out gets hammered. Props to Andy for staying true to his style and what brings him joy!
That truck grind was great. Really encapsulates the creative nature of skateboarding
I feel like Andy’s been hiding waiting for his part to come out. Good to see him again!
I know we are all different with style... nice to see somebodies work-out
How can anyone not love this kid? I recently found out about him, and he seems like a genuinely good dude, just living his best life! Inspirational
Mike V probably gets overlooked a little bit when we talk about versatility. He's been skating everything (street, transition, flatground/freestyle) for decades now and has very clearly paved the way for a guy like Andy to come along and be successful.

That guy is a tank, I remember the video of him fighting 3 dudes who were messing with him
@@Slavic_Slavage I believe it was actually 4 dudes 😉
I love him. The real skateboarder. I watch every video with him on Nka Vids Skateboarding. And it's good that I subscribe to RedBull
Interesting how people will find the smallest thing to dislike someone for. What a World. Keep having fun, Andy ⚡️
Hes got the skills, hes got the safety, hes even got the name! Andy is such a humble dude, and hes so scientific with his approach to skating. What an amazing guy!
I f**kin ❤ Both of these guys
Love this Guy. I can watch him skate forever and never get bored
He’s the most creative and refreshing skater ever. People that hate on helmets are tripping because skateboarding is the highest impact sport out there.
In BASE Jumping, the Impacts are much Harder.. (jk)
He's more creative than the guy who literally invented the ollie, kickflip, heelflip, and 360 flip?
Been following Andy for years. Glad to see him getting so much recognition.
Wow helmets respect history it says it all this dude really knows himself well🇦🇺🤙
@RedBullSkateboarding This is just beautiful! How amazing it is to bring us this pure soul and massively talented guy. Thanks for this episode. I can’t wait to watch the whole series and make sure my son watches it too when he grows up.
2 amazing people and skaters great mini doc
Canadian here. Haven't skated in 25 years.
Just learning about Andy. Such a cool dude.
Madars is a great host and skater. I want to see more of him.
This is so awesome!
Love seeing Andy skate! :3
Saw his ad on Instagram. Had to watch the full vid because I gotta respect someone who decided to wear a brain bucket while skating. What is "cool" and appropriate in skate culture is often hegemonic. Glad to see this guy doing his own thing!
I loved learning more about Andy!
This dude keeps old school tricks alive and mixes them with new moves awesome
“Protect your brain. Your brain is you.” That’s all you gotta say. Respect.
Mad respect to this man. His approach to skating and life is rejuvenating. Everyone is always caught up in being the best. Just be you.
Man this was fantastic
Thank you for being you, Andy Anderson. Never stop.
Props Andy , keep killing it out there !!🤙👊
Been a fan of his forever. Absolutely love how he incorporates freestlye into skate and is unapologetically himself. Gives off nothing but great vibes.
Someone send Andy to Japan to skate with some of the avante garde Japanese skaters. They would get along.
Andy is such a humble dude, always gives credit to all the old school skaters that inspired him ! Such a chill dude! And not to mention he can shred, he is a legend on a skateboard!!!
Andy Anderson is the definition of a ATV I know it’s already said but still he can do it all pretty much
I’m from the 80s and I really like this dude. Style and substance.
been waiting on a new season! thankyou so much Redbull for making more skatetales I love this show! will watch the rest on your website to show appreciation, & never replace Madars until he don't want to be on anymore
🫡💯
I had to go back and rewatch so many of the tricks he does and just scratch my head. Andy Anderson is awesome.
You know he's gonna destroy street comps when he makes it out of the 90's 😂
I watched Andy in his early days and always liked his style and enjoyed watching him. This video just solidified Andy as my favorite skater. Hopefully one day I can see him skate in person. Keep rockin and rollin Andy 🤟🏼
“How to define my skateboarding?”
The title said it! It’s “Versatile Skateboarding”.
The way how Andy thinks, imagine if Red Bull or whoever asked Andy to come up with a Versatile Skateboarding contest. Makes you wonder what will he come up with for that contest.
Been waiting for this opportunity 😊
powell should just do a whole kilian and andy video doing freestyle stuff with street obstacles incorporated
Dude's so rad...and he showed up on the scene just in time to shake things up & push the limits for everyone.
andy needs his own show. a skateboarding historian show.
He can wear a tan sports coat, sip sherry and give us lessons in history. Then shred in said sports coat. It's a classy show
Definition of one with his board. Kudos to Andy on staying true to himself in times where it’s so easy to conform to what’s expected. Cheers big dog 🙏🏼
I love you Roger bagley!!! Shout out old buddies!
Andy is an absolute MONSTER skater 🤘 I love the old school touch in his style. Man, skating is the fucking best
What Andy said they did to him just because he wore a helmet ⛑ but Tony Hawk wore a helmet n they never treated him that bad but he did get his fare share of problems for the products he endorsed. Also Rodney got some lash back too.Haters gonna hate😠😜😕 Keep doing you Andy🙌🏾🙌🏽🙌🏽
i saw a short of this dude and had to look him up for myself. this full video is one of the most elite displays of balance i've ever seen on display. and such a cool genuine dude. lifelong fan now for sure
I dont get the helmet bash thing, its safety, leave it there 8:33
8:32
Beat me to it, helmet gang
This clip is too good to watch in the morning, what a vibe of his life style and all these fellas, simply awesome.
I wish thwg would stop getting andy to defend his style everytime hes on camera. Just watch him skate and respect the mastery. If you have an issue with it move along
Definitely my favourite skater. Dude is so great to watch!
Andy the BEST!
kinda ghey tho
Anyone knows the name of the trick that Andy does @ 0:13? I'm having a hard time finding it, and a tutorial would be great
@@finianmcelhany3904 I don't think so, It's something more like pogo, but still not the same..
EDIT:
I think I found it. Just a "truck stand" Mike Osterman has a video on that
It's a freestyle trick called 'truckstand'
I thought it was called a casper
@@Crawledoutfallout casper is with your backfoot on the tail
A truck stand
What a beautiful human. Loved every second of this video.
My parents would never let me skate or.l bmx without a helmet. Then I started racing motocross and always wore a helmet.
So for me seeing Andy with a lid on made me respect him 100% and I'm 39 for context
I used to longboard, and anytime we would be on hills or doing anything serious, I would put on a helmet bc it is more serious at those speeds.
SLS blows nuts! Commercialized competition skating is lame. I'd be watching this guy and parts and docs like this over that stuff any day. I'd rather watch bmx freestyle, or Moto Trials w no money in it over xgames. The popularity of this content proves how sick people are of watching that junk with all the money poured onto it (not into it).
This stuff is rad!
This video feel so nostalgic even though I never seen it before. Andy is so pure man
