I saw the Crue open for Ozzy in 1984 and they tore the place up. I've seen them several times since but they have never come close to as good as they were back in 1984. Maybe because "Too Fast for Love" and "Shout at the Devil" are my favorite Crue albums. That and back then Vince Neil had a strong voice and was in shape running around the stage. Thru a friend of mine we got to hang out with Tommy on his bus on the "Carnival of Sins" Tour. I was surprised by the level of animosity between the band members, especially Tommy and Vince. Each band member traveled in their own bus and didn't hangout or talk to each other unless it was on stage.
As a big Motley fan back in the day try Primal Scream from Decade Of Decadence. That’s song has an amazing riff and beat! Definitely one most overlooked and is probably better than half the songs they released as a single. This song was released as a single and features a music video as well.
You noted that Vince Neil is not the greatest singer in the world. That shows wisdom. Not to mention, you could be my grandsons. Subbed. Rock on, gentlemen.
Mick actually plays solos a lot, but they are usually so perfect in the song it just sounds like a cool musical riff that goes with the music and doesn't stand out like a solo. I didn't ever pay attention to him, now I admit that I should have,
"Wild Side" must be one fo their bigger hits.. Else check out "Ten Seconds to Love", "Shout at the Devil" or "Louder than Hell". A bit older I think. Sounds more like this style.
Love your reactions! This was their sophomore album that catapulted them to the big time. They opened for Ozzy this album tour and got lots of MTV play. Mick Marrs down tunes his guitar a whole step. That's what helps give it that deep dark sound. He plays quite a bit of solos. Their signature power ballad "Home Sweet Home" has a fantastic solo.
Mick Mars is now 72 years old and for the first time in his life releasing solo material. He has 3 songs out and they are all on UA-cam. I think they’re pretty good. You should check them out.
Mick has chronic arthritis that does not allow him to move fast. Mostly affects his spine and pelvis but over the years it has slowly impacted his ability to move.
Livewire and Smokin’ In The Boys Room- Motley Crue. Gents, 2 more bangers from the party boys of the 80s!! Love your channel and pretty sure both of you will enjoy both of these songs!! Great reaction to TYTFIL!!
This song gets a call back later in the Dr. Feelgood album on the song Don't Go Away Mad (just go away) with the lyrics "too young to fall in love, guess we knew it all along"
You certainly know how to pick up the good songs. Back in the day back in the makeup, Right out this thing rocks. This is the song that kicked them off The beginning The genesis The motley crue.
Love this video for the pure camp element. These were the days when bruce lee and other karate movies were on TV every weekend. Tommy laughing through the whole video is hilarious.
These guys were so young and so good!! Shout at The Devil! Was first song I ever heard, was hooked. But I’m still Die hard Angus Young ACDC FAN . Bonn Scott-Brian Johnson - pick a song, pick any album. BUT, NO ONE HAS EVER DONE- Big Guns! This song was written esp for a movie called “ Last Action Hero”- Both Music video and movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger! And it’s just a HUGE OVERLOOKED BANGER!! Please check it out!
Truly enjoy checking out your reactions. Here is a suggestion that I am sure that you and your listeners will enjoy. The Bee Gees "Too Much Heaven" The Official Video version.
Mick has a form of arthritis that screwed with some of his playing. It effects his spine and pelvis but as time went on it really started effecting his health and ask anyone with arthritis and all its for s if it doesn't effect almost everything ya do
You need to watch live wire where Nikki sixx catches his cell phone fire onstage and he did it ever show back in the day back in the 80s it was awesome that's what the pmrc did not like
In the words of Nikki Sixx during an interview said,..."Mick put's his ego in the back seat and plays some really really good riffs"
Best musician in Motley Crue by miles.
@@Jason.King.at.your.service For sure. Mick was the sound of Motley.

I recommend you Motley Crue "Hooligan's Holiday".
And "Power To The Music" also.
Primal Scream is a great song, the guitar and drums are amazing. Definitely recommend.
The "dark tone" is the phyrigian dominant mode that gives it that dark eastern, asian feel in this song.

Every Motley song has a solo
When it comes to micks thick sound the secret is motley crue plays a full step down to d standard tuning where most 80s is played in em standard
One of my favorite M.C songs. The riff is so nasty! 🤘😎
There were guitar solos on all the old stuff
Such a jam!!
This song gets a call back later in the Dr. Feelgood album on the song Don't Go Away Mad (just go away) with the lyrics "too young to fall in love, guess we knew it all along"

Love this video for the pure camp element. These were the days when bruce lee and other karate movies were on TV every weekend. Tommy laughing through the whole video is hilarious.
Fire!!!
Knock Em Dead Kid and Ten Seconds to Love are a couple obscure Crue tracks that rock too.
Im a drummer. And all tom-toms should aspire to sound like these do, before the start of every verse. Hes no Steve Gadd, but he can tune a tom-tom
