Im having a greater appreciation for how good they were now when Im in my 50's than I did when I was a teenager back in the 80s, my taste back then was still mainly into classic rock...and I am so excited to be going to see them with Def Leppard in July 🤘🏼
Wait, you're going to see them? I went to see their "farewell" tour 2 or 3 years ago. I even bought a $60 t-shirt to prove I was at their "last" concert. Wtf? I've been had 😠😠
no one these days takes into consideration the fact that the only "image" you saw about your favorite bands were either when you caught their videos on MTV or in rock magazines of the day THEIR WAS NO INTERNET OR SMART PHONES... being able to SEE them in these videos just added to their cool mystique and made you delve more into what they were about w your buddies.... the 80's will always be my favorite time in my life and these guys were definitely a part of that good feeling !!!
Me and my friends in the 80s , with our motey crue shirts and long hair. We would rule the hallways at school . Grabbing kids and say do you like motley crue. IF THEY SAID NO we would kick there ass.
I mentioned this in another reaction video but the term "hair metal" never existed until the mid to late 90s. Back then if it was metal, it was metal cause all the metal bands had hair. If you didn't listen to metal then you listened to pop or dance music. I lived thru the metal years and hair metal was a term that just didn't exist.
Hair bands forever!!! I'm almost 50, and I love hair bands! It's in my blood. Shout at the Devil was my favorite. Saw these guys so many times in concert. Miss those days!
I really appreciate your reactions to hard rock and metal music from every era. Your enthusiasm and ability to immediately grasp the gist and message of every individual song are both impressive and heartwarming. Whether you're becoming one of us metalheads for life, or just enjoy your casual visits to our realm every now and then, you will always be most welcome. Greetings from Sweden, one of those places where metal never went away but continues to thrive to this day. I'm sure you'll find out, not least as you get closer to the metal scene of today :-)
From Crue: Piece Of Your Action, Starry Eyes, Too Fast For Love, Black Widow, Red Hot, Shout At The Devil, Ten Seconds To Love, Louder Than Hell, Tonite We Need A Lover, Dancing On Glass, Primal Scream, Saints Of Los Angeles, Face Down In The Dirt, Punched In The Teeth By Love.
I am a sucker for some Crue, if I was a teenager in the 80s I would have been a Metallica fan not a Glam fan but these guys can be appreciated at this point in my life 🤘🤘🤘
I remember the debut of this video like it was yesterday, me and my friends went crazy over this! I actually met Vince Neil at the troubadour when he was hanging out watching new bands perform along with his bodyguard of course, I was able to get an autograph, fun times in the 80’s with Motley Crue. They were so theatrical in their videos and we all just ate it up. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Their first two albums are still my favorites. This was off “Shout at the Devil” from 1983. The song “Bastard” from that was one of the PMRC filthy fifteen. Great song but the title track is my favorite.
Damn ,I'm pumped and ready to suit up and take the field on a Friday night ,I can smell the fresh cut grass ,popcorn, pretty cheerleaders the drum line is killing it and I'm ready to bring the pain ! Thanks for taking me back brother !
You're absolutely right....put aside the makeup, hair and outfits, and these guys totally rocked our socks off in the 80s. I was a teen at the time and oh yeah...this was my theme song!🤟🏻🤟🏻
Exactly right, cause the first time I ever heard them, I lost my mind and went out the next day with my paper route money, and bought the album and cassette at the same time.
okay tommy had the greatest stick twirl of all time.. fast and tight.. gonna see them in the mega concert here in Vancouver in Sept.. cant wait.. even if Vince dont sound the same
Great, underrated song. Crazy video. Most underwhelming fight scene ever. My favorite hidden gem Crue song is "Knock 'em Dead Kid". Based on a true story when Nikki saw some cops beating up a woman and yelled at them to stop...then they beat HIM up.
I always did think that Motley Crue was one of the top notch bands for that day. Being a musician, songwriter and vocalist and playing in bands myself back in the late 80's and 90's they were one of my favorite bands. I remember Nikki Sixx (aka Frank Serafino Feranna, jr) saying one time in an interview that when he was first forming this band. He wanted to find 3 other guys that didn't have anything else to live for but this band. That says it all right there on the kind of band he was looking to put together.
80's Hard Rock is priceless, they are power, entertainment at it's best plus great musicians. They seem calm and their self esteem is on point without some irony.. Try Ratt:Body Talk and be ready!
The Stadium Tour starts today after a two year delay! I held my tickets 🎫 for 2 years, seeing them on July 14th & 15th one has a meet and greet with Motley Crue! Cleveland, Cincinnati Ohio shows can’t wait! Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett! Great reaction! Please do there song PRIMAL SCREAM!
My wife's favorite band, min is KISS. Took here to a Crue concert years ago when we were friends before we started dating it was a fun concert for sure.
T, you guys would enjoy the heck out of their debut Too Fast For Love. they show more of their influences from 70s glam rock. The whole album rocks. Motley, through Nikki, was very influenced by The Sweet. If you listen to Hellraiser by them, you can hear that Motley Crue ise their riff in the intro to Kickstart My Heart (maybe a homage)
@4:39 Welcome to 1980's music videos! 😆 I was a freshman when this Album came out, there weren't many MetalHeads (besides me, maybe a dozen?) in my school (Country & Preps!), Everyone considered them "Devil Worshippers" in my school Because they had a "Pentagram" on the cover and the name of the album "Shout At The Devil"! The Album was gatefold & the pictures on the inside of the band had everyone wondering about if Vince was a Girl (Steven Tyler said the song "Dude looks like a lady" was written about he went to a club & motley was playing & he thought Vince looked like a women). Anyway when "Home Sweet Home" came out EVERYONE loved Crue, (they'd loved them for years they said!)🙄 🤘😈
My wife & I love watching you & some other couples discover our generation's music. It is a joyful vicarious opportunity to rediscover the innocent love for the experience seeing it thru your eyes & hearing it with your ears. Yet (uh-oh), as astute as you & other reactors often are regarding lyrical content and/or video concepts, ya'll also get a lot wrong because you didn't live in that Zeitgeist. Case in point: The clothes Motley Crue dons for this album & its videos, which is akin to what KISS wore and how their videos were produced for the "Lick It Up" album, reflect an early 80s view of a dystopian Globalist future governed by Japan (not China). That explains so much of the set design, the props & costuming, as directly related to film counterparts like Mad Max & Blade Runner. For those of us that preferred harder & darker Metal, like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica & Mercyful Fate, we actually enjoyed Crue's first 2 grittier albums because their "L.A." Glam Metal make-up & hairspray worked with the post-apocalyptic image with skulls, fire & pentagrams but, even if we secretly liked their subsequent music, after this album they became too much of a run of the mill Hair Band for us to consider hardcore (which goes to Tasha's commentary regarding "Wild Side", which was an album & image that redeemed them with their original fans), which is to say that there is a lot of nuance that gets lost in translation in reaction videos by you youngsters, but the apparent romance between you couples & the fun you seem to have diving into our music grants you a pass & we'll keep tuning in for more.
Had a nice conversation with Nikki back in 83-84 at a record store meet-n-greet at the Smyrna Turtles. Really cool guy, though you could tell he didn't want to be there. They bussed in from Florida overnight and we're 30 minutes late for the 11am start. Literally rolled out of their bunks and into a PR appearance. Nikki told me they were lucky because the show the night before let them shower after they played, but the smell of whiskey, mouthwash and Big Red gum was all around them. Said they had done 50+ shows with never more than a couple of days off in between. And most of that was highway bus miles. It ain't all the sex, drugs and wild times everyone thinks it is. Yes, that's there too. But if you're just riding your first couple of hits, those first couple years of back2back tours is physically, mentally and emotionally draining.
While I'm certainly a child/teen of the 80's, I'm old enough to remember the 70's albeit slightly, and I can tell you...Motley Crue were to the 80's as Kiss were to the 70's. They were definitely the biggest rock band of the 80's, even though technically they didn't sell the most records, Def Leppard for instance sold slightly more than Motley. The Crue though "felt" bigger, and it was precisely what you hit on, they had massive star quality in a way that Def Leppard or other 80's bands didn't. I'm not saying those bands didn't have "it", but not in the same way the Crue did. And I was glad you mentioned Vince Neil. I don't care what Neil sounds like now, there is NO Motley Crue without Vince Neil. I would never go to see Van Halen without David Lee Roth, NEVER, and I would never go see the Crue without Vince Neil. Frontmen like that, and it should be noted that Vince Neil has admitted Roth influenced him, are extremely hard to come by. I saw Motley in late 1987 with Guns N Roses opening up. The Crue put on a great show, and even though they weren't my favorite band of the era, they sold out our civic center in advance, and the crowd was absolutely wild for them.
When i was a kid at 10-11 years old and i saw that video i fell in love with the band right away, the song, the look, i was totally into Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx, it's one of my all-time favorite Motley Crue song, i go crazy when they play that song in concert.
One of my Favorite Crue Songs. Their Debut Album is Absolutely Amazing. I wore out side 1 of the Cassette and had to purchase a 2nd Side 1 of the Debut Album just Kills It
We called them a lot of things when they first came out. Hair bands, glam even posers. Motley Crue was one of the first posers there was until the music hit us now we realized it wasn't about the makeup they had some good rocking beats raw straight from the street. Vince Tommy Nikki took off makeup the rest was history was Hall of Fame. They put out epic nothing short of epic concerts. Unfortunately they got tagged by our parents as being satanic and the whole story that went behind it which is a load of crap. Kudos for the band for turning it around and making it a PR . Rolled in the bucks plus gold and platinum.
When this came out, you could see them hanging out on the Sunset strip in Hollywood. Just chill'n on their Harley's in front of the Wiskey a Go-go or Gazarri's or at strip clubs. They were pretty approachable. SoCal in the mid 80's was so metal in Hollywood. Big bands would play small bars under aliases. Aerosmith would sometimes play under the name Dr. J. Jones and the Interns. Stuff like that. We were lucky. Good times.
LOL... I forgot how unintentionally funny that video was. I mean, it was certainly cool back in the day, especially considering MTV had only been around for a couple years.
Fun band T.saw them so many times and every time was great..couple times I even took girl’s that were kinda quiet and proper that I was a little worried about the show being too much of a shock too their system😁 but even THEY had a blast..Crue never took themselves too seriously they just wanted to have fun 24/7..trying to think of some great tracks you two haven’t done yet that are can’t miss..”Same ol’ situation” “Wildside” “Dr.Feelgood”(you guys did that one it was great” “Looks that kill” “Girls Girls Girls” “Girl don’t go away mad” “Home sweet home” “Live wire”(Tasha did that one I think.. even better😂)
I had a photo from a magazine of Nikki Sixx in his Shout at the Devil gear, with blood dripping from his mouth that was hung on the inside of my school locker door in grade 5, age 11, 1983.
Piece of your action, Too fast for love, Danger and Save our Souls are good recommendations by them. Then again they had so many where do you begin? Lol
Weirdest damned thing - somehow I combined this with their album and song "Too Fast For Love" in my mind, and ended up really confused when the chorus came in with "too young" instead of "too fast to fall in love." Maybe I was too young to remember the right lyrics lol
To me the album Shout at the devil is the masterpiece of Motley and of glam metal as a whole. You should react to "ten seconds to love", or to "bastard"
Here's some song from thier 2008 album; "saints of los angeles" people listen to thier 80's stuff here's some suggetions from the saints album; "Saints of Los Angeles"; Just Another Psycho; Face Down In The Dirt.
KISS was a major influence on Motley crue GeneSimmons would breathe fire so they took that to where they would pour Igniter fluid on Nikki Sixx's leg And then light it on fire KISS was the one that came out with the drum set that did not sit still, it levitated, it went up high Motley crue took it to a different level and made it come up high and turn and twist and go upside down Throw in the makeup that they wore and they are very very much influenced by KISS Love TNT
Who doesn't like the Crue?! Badass song, video is cheesy as hell w/their kung fu tactics lol. Still waiting for you to put the seatbelt on and react to LOVEBITES. They have re-invented 80s thrash / metal. You need to give this one a try, just one song, all I ask. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed. 🙂 Set The World On Fire live from their Ride For Vengeance tour 2021 ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html Salient points: They play in high heels / white dresses, the drummer is 4' 9" and the guitarist shredding the Dean was 4mos pregnant during this show. Doesn't that interest you a bit to see what they can do??!!
One of Motley's greatest tunes in my opinion, very well written. And lets not forget about Mick Mars brilliant guitar work!
Right on
Im having a greater appreciation for how good they were now when Im in my 50's than I did when I was a teenager back in the 80s, my taste back then was still mainly into classic rock...and I am so excited to be going to see them with Def Leppard in July 🤘🏼
I’m from the same era and now Motley Crue is classic rock 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm from that era (b: 1971) and I was early on Crue... caught them on Shout for the first time. July, eh? you from Chi-town? 7-8 at Wrigley
Wait, you're going to see them? I went to see their "farewell" tour 2 or 3 years ago. I even bought a $60 t-shirt to prove I was at their "last" concert. Wtf? I've been had 😠😠
I was in high school when Motley Crue hit the scene. They kicked ass for so many years...

Crüe🤘😎
I recommend their cover of the Beatles song "Helter Skelter", "Home Sweet Home", and "Same Ol' Situation".
I second this.
Classic Crue. 🤘🏼 They have a unique hard rock style. That’s what makes them great 👍🏼
Me and my friends in the 80s , with our motey crue shirts and long hair. We would rule the hallways at school . Grabbing kids and say do you like motley crue. IF THEY SAID NO we would kick there ass.

Check out "Ten Seconds To Love" and "Shout At The Devil" also.

Seen Crue twice
Last time Vince was having a hard time singing
Early Crue was just kickass
From Crue: Piece Of Your Action, Starry Eyes, Too Fast For Love, Black Widow, Red Hot, Shout At The Devil, Ten Seconds To Love, Louder Than Hell, Tonite We Need A Lover, Dancing On Glass, Primal Scream, Saints Of Los Angeles, Face Down In The Dirt, Punched In The Teeth By Love.

Great choice T!!!
Back when the Crue were the Crue..... Definitely check out more from that era. "Live Wire", "Shout at the Devil", "Looks that Kill"
I had the VHS of the Motley Crue Uncensored video and I watched that thing so many times! Awesome reaction. Love the Crue forever. 🤘
It was the 80s. No video ever had anything to do with any song. And believe me, that's the coolest Vince Neil ever was.
He was pretty cool during TFFL, too
@lockandloadlikehell True. The first two records were awesome. Then Vince killed that guy and they've sucked out loud ever since.
Crue back in the day was pretty legit, lots of good early material form them. I actually did like some of their later era stuff too.
the Shout at the Devil album was just great, best LP ever. More Crew
The Stadium Tour starts today after a two year delay! I held my tickets 🎫 for 2 years, seeing them on July 14th & 15th one has a meet and greet with Motley Crue! Never been a huge Motley fan (or Glam Rock really)...However....I really dig Mick Mars as a guitarist. Love his style and sound
One of the greatest! I am a huge Crue fan! They did have the ability to just get in your face and rock you!
Another great one along this same vibe is "She's Got Looks that Kill" Which is one of my #1 favs by the Crue along with Kickstart My Heart!
My wife & I love watching you & some other couples discover our generation's music. It is a joyful vicarious opportunity to rediscover the innocent love for the experience seeing it thru your eyes & hearing it with your ears. My favourite Crue song👍🤘
I'll be seeing the CRUE onstage in about 3 hours!!@
They were the best band of the 80s.
I forgot how great this video was.
Motley's first album is in my top ten
When i was a kid at 10-11 years old and i saw that video i fell in love with the band right away, the song, the look, i was totally into Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx, it's one of my all-time favorite Motley Crue song, i go crazy when they play that song in concert.
Même chose de mon côté ;)
@@stephanea5364 Ça me fait chier que la tournée vienne pas à Montréal, Evenko ont passé dans l'beurre, belle gang d'incompétents.
One of my Favorite Crue Songs. Their Debut Album is Absolutely Amazing. I wore out side 1 of the Cassette and had to purchase a 2nd Side 1 of the Debut Album just Kills It
Loved this when a teen. Great song.
Love that this song is finally getting some love..this one was my favorite by them! Keep on Rockin'
Crue is the darker, heavier side of Poison lol
The definition of a rock band
Love it... Love old crue where it still sounds punky meets glammy meets, I guess metal?
The Looks That Kill! From the Crue🤘💯 is the remake of Smoking in the Boys Room🔥
Dokken, "Braking the Chains," and "Alone Again!" 🎸
We called them a lot of things when they first came out. Hair bands, glam even posers. I was listening to Black Flag, Rick James, Van Halen, Michael Jackson, Run DMC, Grand Master Flash, and everything back then

You need to check out Saints of Los Angeles by Motley Crue
Been in my top three Crew songs since I heard it the very first time.. it Whaaalllleeeessss!!
LOL... I forgot how unintentionally funny that video was. I mean, it was certainly cool back in the day, especially considering MTV had only been around for a couple years.
Love Motley!
Seeing them today with poison, def leppard and Joan Jett.
I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I love your enthusiasm and passion - your wife's as well. Thanks for the reaction.
This is my favorite Motley Crue song and video from early childhood because it reminds me of John Carpenter’s movie Big Trouble in Little China
It's my fav along with KEDK bc of its hardness
Helped me set multiple 110 kg state records a decade ago
Thanks Mr adventure tnt....this song is perfect
Fun band T.saw them so many times and every time was great..couple times I even took girl’s that were kinda quiet and proper that I was a little worried about the show being too much of a shock too their system😁 but even THEY had a blast..Crue never took themselves too seriously they just wanted to have fun 24/7..trying to think of some great tracks you two haven’t done yet that are can’t miss..”Same ol’ situation” “Wildside” “Dr.Feelgood”(you guys did that one it was great” “Looks that kill” “Girls Girls Girls” “Girl don’t go away mad” “Home sweet home” “Live wire”(Tasha did that one I think.. even better😂)
metal Motley!! 🤘🤘
Classic!!!
I had/have a friend that played drums in Highschool he was slim like Tommy Lee 6ft+ tall.
Good drummer too.
Motley Crue died a death (creatively) pretty quickly but this will always be my favourite of their tracks.
most badass video ever. this made them stars!
I had a photo from a magazine of Nikki Sixx in his Shout at the Devil gear, with blood dripping from his mouth that was hung on the inside of my school locker door in grade 5, age 11, 1983.

too fast for* love
Being from that time I can assure you that Guns was always considered a cut above..💯
In my opinion the song from their debut album is Helter Skelter. Their best song of all time is Wild Side
Their cover of the Beatles song Helter Skelter is on their 2nd album Shout At The Devil
When this song popped into my head I instantly thought "I KNOW THE GUY THAT HAS TO REACT TO THIS" . please listen to Badlands - Dreams In The Dark
Hell yes
For TNT or anyone who hasn't seen them...
Check out Motley Crue misheard lyrics to laugh your ass off
This was a great album so glad I started listening to them after their first album came out :)
To me the album Shout at the devil is the masterpiece of Motley and of glam metal as a whole. You should react to "ten seconds to love", or to "bastard"
Loved it !!
Love this one.
Hitting the hair Metal!! Check out Red Hot from this same album!✌️
Dude, you need to react to Tuff - American Hairband . its a tribute song to the great 80s bands and a middle finger to 90s music
Great reaction
Primal Scream is a great under the radar Jam from the Crue. Check it out.
Here's some song from thier 2008 album; "saints of los angeles" people listen to thier 80's stuff here's some suggetions from the saints album; "Saints of Los Angeles"; Just Another Psycho; Face Down In The Dirt.
KISS was a major influence on Motley crue
GeneSimmons would breathe fire so they took that to where they would pour Igniter fluid on Nikki Sixx's leg And then light it on fire
KISS was the one that came out with the drum set that did not sit still, it levitated, it went up high
Motley crue took it to a different level and made it come up high and turn and twist and go upside down
Throw in the makeup that they wore and they are very very much influenced by KISS
Love TNT
Motley Crue were the bad boys, plenty of sex, drugs and rock and roll.
You should check out Firehouse - Helpless!! I like the way they rock out!!
They were too young and fast for love, but they’d give it to you in 10 seconds.
girls girls girls next
Motley Crue wanted to be the next KISS at this time. But KISS was still rocking so that didn't happen.
Crue has been gone and KISS is still jamming.
Set The World On Fire live from their Ride For Vengeance tour 2021 ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
Salient points: They play in high heels / white dresses, the drummer is 4' 9" and the guitarist shredding the Dean was 4mos pregnant during this show. Doesn't that interest you a bit to see what they can do??!!
100000000000 millón more Guns and roses motley the best
Shout at the Devil is their best album in my opinion
THE ONCE GREAT VINCE NEAL, IS NOW VINCE MEAL. HEY, HE'S GOT THE COOKS THAT GRILL !

Do Starry Eyes
