This came out in 2007 (same year as the head shaving) when Britney was going through A LOT of personal struggles. It was a very rough year for her. She was going through a divorce, child custody issues, postpartum depression, the paparazzi relentless chasing and harassing her. Easily one of the worst years of her life. However, it did give us one of her best albums in Blackout. IMO it's one of the best pop albums ever, highly recommend listening to more of it. The whole album is worth listening too, but my picks of songs that should definitely be listened to from it are Piece of Me, Break the Ice, Get Naked (I Got a Plan), and Ooh Ooh Baby.

Love Brit but I never really liked this video. If she was pole dancing in like a graveyard or something that would’ve been cooler/more interesting

LOVE this band. This band was considered a one-hit wonder in the United States. This song did not break into the top but was played on MTV for a bit. It is an excellent song and so is the entire album HUNTING HIGH & LOW. But this band is massive in other parts of the world. From Norway, they are one of the biggest bands around in countries like Brazil/South America, Europe, Japan etc. The sell millions of records in those countries and yet did very little here in the states, albeit, the song & video for "Take on Me" was and continues to be considered one of the best. It defines the 80's for so many and the video is still considered exceptional. Check out more A-HA - "Scoundrel Days", "Living Daylights" from the James Bond Soundtrack. This video picks up where "Take on Me" left off. He was a comic book character and had to return. I saw them in 1986 at Radio City Music Hall. Amazing show and they are so good live. The band are. - Mortan Harket (lead singer), Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (guitar/vocal) and Magne Furuholmen (keyboard, guitar, vocal).

This really was a great tune! Such a groove! This was 2007 and she was trying hard to create a new identity that would generate a continued and new following. She was viewed for so long as a teen pop idol and shedding that and coming into her own was difficult. Those that grew up with her didn't want to let go of her older, more sweet image. But the push for her to be more adult and more sexual was clear. She took some pages from Madonna in terms of reinvention. I found this era of Britney to be pretty good. She isn't the best singer in the world and having to maintain her popularity in a changing musical environment was hard on her. She shaved her head at this time in 2007. She was clearly having mental health breakdown at the time. "Womanizer" is a great tune.

The deep pitched more's are to represent people's dark carnal desire to always crave or demand more more more, never totally satisfied. It's more about reflecting raw darknesses in people, throwing it back in their faces, than futurism but I see what you mean.
