Signs of Adrien's crush from episodes Wishmaker, Simpleman, Lies, Megaleech, Mr Pigeon 72, Origins, Sentibubbler, Optigami. Adrien obviously trusts Marinette as seen in Optigami almost giving up his identity. Also, Marinette is able to convince Cat Noir/Adrien to listen to her, again, showing he trusts her as he was very MAD from the fact that he was feeling replaced. A larger sign of Adrien's secret crush may just be from symbolism of the Lucky Charms and the importance of the charm to him. Yeah "Love Bubbles" are an Anime thing they "Appropriated" - To be honest if Adrien is Looking at Marinette more it's perhaps a "Grass is Greener" thing as subconciously he surely must know that Ladybug treats him like trash as Cat Noir, so he's thinking to himself in a non-conscious way - Maybe Marinette might love me.
However he can't be himself with Marinette and she doesn't see him - she sees a manufactured idea of him that only exists in her own head. So That is why I think Adrienetta can't go anywhere without significant changes. Marinette is a "What if" that he ponders but won't allow himself (due to his lingering loyalty to Ladybug) - also he's convinced himself she's "Just a Friend".
Though the sad thing is she's actually really only an acquaintance - as best as the show tells us - they barely interact any more than LB & CN do.
I'm reminded of the Fanfiction where They find each others identities out in Lady WiFi & the consequences of that. They have the chance to see themselves for all they are and so the affection they gain is genuine and real- so far this isn't love this is a crush - and one based entirely on falsehoods/
But that is one of the ironies of the show to do with lies and masks. Frankly I think Thomas is going to be lame duck and not address any of this at all and post reveal it will be "oh they are in love now" and that Marinette doesn't know Adrien 'at all' won't even be addressed. Shame really the show has so many interesting set ups and no pay offs.

Really like your thoughts of Adrien thinking Mari may like him in a as you said, a "non-concious way", and that Marinette only sees a manufactured version of Adrien, i agree. I do have hope though from the episode truth, as Ladybug's truth towards cat noir is that she loves his jokes... so i hope as she loves these traits in her kitty she will begin to see those traits in adrien if mari and him get close enough for that to happen. anyway, great thoughts :D

I really fliched when she said (depending on language) that Adrien has a Miraculous / Perfect life.
While Adrien is so stretched he looks like he's about to suffer a mental break down hot on the heels of Chloe's.
I am tempted to joke that Marinette has short term memory problems and she forgets Cat Noir even exists if he's not standing in front of her.
I think it's really sad that she doesn't big him up as a hero of Paris and as her partner - she's done it in Prime Queen, and she does say the occasional nice thing - but then she acts in a way contradictory to that - and I think - stop being mean to the kitty. It was a slow process noticing - I noticed her berating him, and hitting him, sidelining him, not letting him speak to fu, or to the other heroes, not letting him contribute, even breaking the akumatised object herself when he's holding it - rather than letting him do it so he feels like he's contributing.
No wonder they don't bring up the side kick issue very much - as they would have a very hard time defending that he is not shown as an equal partner on the show.
Also with Alya in play the poor guy thinks he's been replaced and when Marinette/Ladybug claims otherwise it seems more like she'd trying to calm him down than it does that she means it.
She never apologised for how she acted as Lady Noire - or how she jumps to conclusions which make him out as the bad guy every time while not even telling him about her own miss-steps if she can help it.
I guess this is all fine if you look on it as HOW NOT TO DO A PARTNERSHIP and then they slowly fix it in season 6 - say by giving Cat Noir more responsibility or his other powers, and allowing him to contribute in more ways (much as Alya does).
But what I really worry about is what if she only does that BECAUSE he's Adrien and wouldn't do it if he was someone else entirely.
That would be a great plot for an episode - that a glammer is cast on him so he doesn't appear to be Adrien for a while, imagine if Adrien "disappeared" and Marinette sees Cat Noir as this new made up person - then she'd see him as a civilian and have to judge him by how he presents and Adrien could be more of how he wants to really be.
They could do it too if Adrien is replaced in his modelling contract with Felix or a senti monster and gave covers up his disappearance as he doesn't want an investigation due to two missing family members and his aid serious ill for no determinable cause (making it look like he poisoned her). Unfortunatley the show is to weeded to the staus quo - and so wouldn't "remove" Adrien and keep Cat Noir and allow Marinette to see Cat Noir as a civilian.
Also imagine if Alya knew the truth - that would be really interesting stuff and would really make them bond a lot too. & make Nino jealous as heck.
Oh well I guess we will get what we get and have to make do with that.

@@PYNKERIE he absolutely does, refer back to chat blanc when he said she always was something more to him but wasn’t sure why. He “switched targets” to kagami because she was rather aggressive at making herself an option while Marinette pretty much sabotaged herself. If Marinette had stepped up when Adrien was trying to move on she easily would have had a chance. Unfortunately he wasn’t actually really ready to move on. He didn’t love kagami and still loves lb and I do think Mari would have had a better chance than kagami but it just wasn’t time yet.

I read it more as Adrien thinking (in his view) - Look that girl won't despise and mistreat me like Ladybug and my dad does.
Ironically though Marinette has been doing just that, she been abusing their friendship, emotionally manipulating him to her whims, and endangering his life due to her callous actions - oh and she's still a stalker too. Adrien is easily led and so far all the show is giving me is the indication that he's just changing one abuser for another.
I think the reverse umbrella scene was the biggest proof he has a crush on her. THIS DORK HIT HIS HEAD TO THE CAR!

Marinette may be his most trusted friend now after Rocketear. He may be angry at Ladybug for letting Nino and Alya know their identities but because Nino told Adrien he knows he can’t trust him with any big secrets. So if Adrien can’t trust his BEST friend then I think Marinette is next on his list of friends

I was so frustrated with Marrinette during simpleman, but I just got it. At the end of wishmaker she says she is gonna do it all including love adrien actively again. I think this was the writer’s over the top way of showing her crush, but also letting her realize that she is going overboard in that crush. Where before she didn’t get it. There was still so much cringe in simpleman but hopefully she can stop her stalker tendencies for a healthy relationship.

Adrien is definitely comfortable and relaxed around Marinette and he definitely has no qualms touching her or HER KISSING him, which is a stark contrast to how he reacts to Lila and Chloe's advances. On Adrien's side, there is definitely underlying sexual and romantic attraction towards Marinette but he just hasn't been able to realize it yet and is probably more occupied with his intense crush for Ladybug.
Here's something for the combined Miraculous/Harry Potter fans:

Simpleman really was a disappointment and was out of character for season 4 marinette but it's the only episode that I found disappointing. The rest of the episodes were great.

Marichat - they get to know the real them . Even they don't like each other but you know , it is the best because, their friendship just shines and that is enough for us .
Next comes
Adrienette - ok here they both are in their civilian forms cute friends, it is all about Adrian's subconscious crush on marinette and marinette's obsession with adrien. But the problem is marinette's clumsiness and awkwardness.
Ok so next up is
Lady noir - chat flirts with ladybug , ladybug rejects him

Adrien CARES deeply about Marinette, she means a lot to him and it was shown throughout the seasons how much he values her and feels comfortable around her so I didn't see any change in his behavior towards her this season that I didn't see in the past. HOWEVER that remark about the umbrella was kinda unusual..and also him getting hit in the head...I have a few ideas what it means but I'm not sure.
I see it the same way, after seeing simple-man I thought "Hey Marinette has been more confident in speaking to Adrien so she'll be fine from now on." But nope. The writers just did the troupe with Marinette failing and calling it a day. I wanna see these two in a VAULT with no way out and they just talk.
The only think I noticed is the look that Adrien has when Lukas is around Marinette. When they are close, I have the feeling he is a bit weird 😅

I'm pretty sure he thinks Marinette and Luka are together- he noticed them in "Frozer" he said that in Stormy weather 0.2, he saw them together in "Desperada" (when he was with Kagami) and he recently saw them hanging out and holding hands in Wishmaker. He was very friendly and comfortable with Luka. He doesn't seem bothered at all because why would he be? He LOVES LB and he is loyal to her and I love that about him. In "Copycat" we saw a jealous Adrien/Cat because that's when the sculptor had his eye on his Lady. I actually don't rule out the idea that Adrien will get jealous regarding Marinette and Luka but the way I see it, it's more likely to happen when he discovers Marinette is LB.

Well, I see that this part was very helpful to Adrienne, but the opposite for me is Lady Noire I think the love square is getting really difficult. Marinette is starting to love Cat Noir and at the same time she's in love with Adrien. I mean, you can accept that Adrien and Cat Noir are one person and that's really good for me because the first was the problem that Marinette does not accept the fact that the black cat is the love of her life, Adrien, but if she begins to love him like a black cat, this will help her accept that they are the same person. As for Adrien, it is really good that he starts loving Marinette, but the bad thing is that his love for Ladybug is starting to turn into anger, and this anger really scares me.I hope that as the episodes pass, this will change and Lady Noir's relationship will be better than before As for Luca, I just love having him in every episode. We've established Adrien struggles speaking to ladybug without his mask on. I think we are going to get a love square flip. Mari is going to start spending time with cat while Adrien starts after mari. He will start struggling to communicate to her (especially after being shot down by ladybug so much) and Mari will start acting more normal as she falls for cat noir.
Also when Adrien helped Marinette with the heating on the ceiling (by touching her hands and turning it) he was completely fine with. But in season 4, when they were stuck in the elevator, he accidentally touched her hand with the button, and HE GOT EMBARRASSED!!

In that Mr.pigeon 72 there is a moment i never forget. Its when marrinete is trying to get kagami and adrien to see each other she says'' we have to recreate the moment you to met'' and at the end of the episode. It recreates the exact moment that marrinete and adrien became friends. In the umbrella scene. I think that is soooooooo cute. Its a detail that i just realized.

When he was behind it,Kagami was like okay, you are the one who is crazy about him, pointing out while Adrien in Cat mode hears it. Nonchalantly he pretends to be oblivious as he holds onto the door when Kagami seems to be ready to go and she turns in seconds, just before Adrien walks out the door, look at the glint in the eyes if you can. He heard it!

Why would they thinks that Adrien is a sentimonster. I'm sure Adrien is feeling anger too , but he didn't show it . He's obey his father maybe because he's remembering that he wanted to make his father happy, especially in his pov his mother is already dead (no she's in coma but in Adrien's pov,her mom is already dead) and it's only his father there with him. So when he's just listened to his father and obey him maybe because he's afraid to fight back and disappoint him. I'm sure Adrien's temper is not that bad. We can see how he was letting his anger out as Cat Noir. Let's just say that he's trapped. Not a sentimonster. He's confused and trapped as Adrien...but not as Cat Noir.
