Besides being THE girlboss, I genuinely love how she’s so giddy & excited about becoming queen, is in a healthy relationship w/her husband, but also kind to others in general..as long as you don’t mess with her lol
I love how they portrayed women in this movie, not making them “queen” or their life “perfect”, they gave her trauma and made her the main villain. She’s probably my favorite villain.

Maybe it's because they're capable of feeling empathy even if they're a villain that's meant to be evil to everyone.
Scarlet is a good villain that her and relationship with Herbert is just so damn adorable (especially Scarlet just encouraging and loving her husband for everything he does). We rarely see that in villains nowadays because they're always expected to be a bitch to everyone. Especially for henchmen or sidekicks of villains. Always treated like trash and they just gotta suck it up or just encourage them more into treating them like trash-
Which is why I love her character. She's a villain, but she's not completely evil. Its wholesome to see her treat her partner with mutual respect and love.

Scarlet always wanted to be a pageant queen and win a crown, but was repress by others. So her greatest plan is to steal the Crown Jewels and be a "Queen" in a more twisted sense. Shown by her Miss Universe feminist empowerment speech from her introduction. Making the crown given in the end, albeit delusional, a form of crowning by the minions as their "Queen" giving her satisfaction that others see her as such.
