I would be a little disappointed if Adrienette happend before Marichat or Ladynoir (both might be plutonic love). Because if you want to believe it or not, Marinette is only in love with one part of Adrien and that is his perfect persona. Yes that perfect persona also contains aspects of who he is, but that is not who he is completely. We heard Adrien describe in detail how amazing Marinette is, but Marinette hasn't done that for Chat Noir. We only hear her call him an amazing partner (= being useful to her). And the only time she really complimented Chat on his qualities was in truth, because she was forced to. I want her to really appreciate Chat, just like Adrien appreciated Marinette on Hero's day. So I don't really like her confessing to Adrien when Ladynoir is crumbling. I want her to confess after their fight is solved.
Marinette doesn't speak about Cat Noir as a civilian - unlike the fanfiction tropes she doesn't really defend him or call him her partner or argue with people who call him a problem for her or a sidekick. That is why I call him her Validation kitty as all he does is validate her feelings and agree with her most of the time. Just look how she's never shown any remorse about how she's sidelined him - not even using Cat Blanc as an excuse to give him the cold shoulder. Lets be serious here - she's keeping things secret from cat Noir that Hawkmoth and Mayura know - and that Marinette knows they know - and yet she never addresses it - and then when Adrien finds out about Nino & Alya he's not peeved about that he wasn't told something that was endangering Alya - he really should have been told - he's upset as they get to be a "couple" and him and Bugaboo don't - but she never said they could be so it makes him look toxic and entitled - he has plenty or reasons to be legitimately upset with her - and they just ignored those and made up the most sexist toxic reason just to make him look bad and hand wave away her being at fault - and again they don't even use the cat Blanc excuse - she has no excuse for treating Cat Noir like trash and leading him on and then shutting him down like she does. Also note this through out season 2 - she refused any dates as Unsafe and then she randomly starts going on dates with him & patrolling during the day and night with him (which are essentially dates) - totally giving him the wrong idea about their "relationship" - it makes her look like she's saying "we can't be together yet" and giving him hope - when what she really means is "we can't be together ever - as I love someone else" and she's just leading him up the garden path. It's a lousy thing to do - it make her look like a complete user. Stringing him along keeping him keen then being mean to him when he gets to close - constantly confusing the poor boy. & she does just the same as Marinette - he asks her if she's interested and she lies to his face every time so even if he wanted to move on - he's given the impression his "just a friend" is only a friend and isn't interested in more. She's totally messed that boys head up.
@@90lancaster I agree. She doesn't want to be in a serious relationship with Chat, she just likes how he flirts with her. "You're not calling me m'lady anymore?" If a guy flirts with you and you flirt back, he has a chance with you. It annoys me that people keep blaming Chat for not respecting a woman's boundaries, but Ladybug didn't set any. She never said "Stop flirting with me." She just keeps telling him "Not now Cat Noir." And of course Adrien is going to call Marinette just a friend because they are just friends. Marinette's too busy dreaming about having a relationship with Adrien, she forgets to actually have one. The only reason Marinette went to comfort Adrien in Wishmaker was because Luka took her with him. Marinette didn't even sit next to Adrien to comfort him when he was sad, she sat next to Luka because she felt uncomfortable with sitting next to Adrien. How can you have a relationship with someone you avoid?

Though curiously she doesn't have any images of her parents either - but I guess the excuse is they can go in the living room. But it's kinda depressing that the most that happens is she gets a wee bit distressed when he kills himself - but then she would even if they are only "pals" & yet the complete lack of consideration for Luka and Cat Noir's feelings says it all really - there is no space in Marinette's mind for anything that isn't Adrien (romantically speaking) - which is somehow ever worse now we know they patrol all the time - that she sees him that often and still treats him so poorly is somehow ever worse than her treating him poorly when she doesn't live in his pocket. I wouldn't mind if they were silly - fun flirty friends - but she's not even that nice to him anymore - she's almost mean to him - she's so dismissive and neglectful of him - the poor kid is drowning in a sea of loneliness - now.
@@90lancaster It's even sadder when he is always there when she needs him as Chat and as Adrien, while she is only there for him when she tries to get rid of other girls (New York special : go with us to New York so you won't spend time with Lila) or when he is in danger. Adrien spend a whole weekend looking for master Fu's pills (Backwarder episode) because Marinette gave him the prescription by accident. He was on a trip with a love interest (Kagami), yet he was thinking about his good friend Marinette. I know that the writers want their relationship to crumble in season 4 for a reason, but it would take a lot of work for Marinette to fix it. I'm so scared that the writers will just gloss over it. Don't try and talk about big topics in kid shows when you don't know how to properly write them.

That is one way of looking at it - another way is that they are both equally screwed up and they mostly do the screwing up to each other - so if you pair them up you save them making someone else miserable instead.
I have a theory that Marinette will confess to Adrien and he will reject her by saying something along the lines of “I only see you as a friend” and then later on Marinette will get over Adrien but Adrien will start having feelings for her

This is just a theory but remember in Dark Cupid ladybug had to kiss cat nior to break the spell by Dark Cupid and rose said in the beginning of the episode that only love can conquer hate and when they were talking about the book Mrs bustier said the only way to break the spell is a true loves kiss so if ladybug didn’t love cat noir the kiss we have never worked he would still be under Dark Cupid’s influence ladybug’s love for cat nior is just hidden because of her love for Adrien

It's amazing how we can ship these two people differently. I kind of want LadyNoir or MariChat to happen first, because someone pointed out Marinette might be conflicted by Adrien's two personas. Maybe if Ladybug grew to like Chat more and more, and is disappointed by him flattering her less and less because HE was starting to notice Marinette. While Marinette wasn't affected by Adrien so much because she prefers the banter/ challenging relationship she and Chat have.
I think Adrien and Luca should become close and their friendship develop and they trust each other because Luca is a good person and Adrien needs to spend some time with him. Well I love Nino but Nino is really just ahh you know what I want to say so we'd like to see more of Adrien and Luca together , koky out 😃😂✌️

I’ve had this suspicion since season 2 they both have been denying to themselves what’s right in front of them because it’s the most ideal situation they could imagine. If they go too deep down the rabbit hole of making Marinette Ladybug and Adrien Cat Noir, then it’s what they’ll expect when their secret identities are revealed and they’ll be disappointed if it turns out any other way. In other words, they’re too scared that what they secretly want to be true will turn out to be a convenient lie and they don’t want to face that kind of heartbreak. It’s like if you convince yourself that you’ll get nothing but socks for your birthday so you’re not disappointed when you open up your gifts and it’s not what you wanted, but it’s also better than socks.
I have a hunch episode 100 will be Marinette confessing her feelings to Adrien. It has to be something huge, and it gives Adrien a reason to want to stay in Paris since he believes his role of Chat Noir is becoming a dead end. This is just speculation of course, but Adrienette has to happen soon. Especially if season 5 is the reveal (which also means Marinette won't reveal her ID)

He basically said it through expressions and actions without using words when he was around mari in wishmaker he was happy but whenever he was around ladybug he was happy but not that happy like ge was around mari which could also be a sign that hes seeing ladybug and mari differently
They really did a hatchet job on Adrien in this episode, suggesting he has no personality at all - therefore validating both Kagami's inability too see any thing inside his model self and marinette only seeing a surface image. The problem with that is that it validates Cat Noir as his "true self" and Cat Noir is kind of a berk - so I think the actually truth to both of them SHOULD be somewhere in the middle - Ladybug shouldn't dominate civilian Marinette and cat Noir's stupidity shouldn't subsume Adrien - even if Adrien is a constructed shell his father made - to only be a dufus isn't a success for him Ladybug needs a reliable partner - not a "silly kitty" or a meat shield - he needs to pardon my bluntness "grow up" and grow a a pair - Adrien is way to "safe" and non threatening and Cat Noir is way to creepy and obssessive and neither of them is an idea in any sense. we need Chatdrien - we need the Cat Noir that had a sincere conversation with Marinette in Glaciator. We also to be again brutally honest to have marinette / Ladybug to dial it back a bit too - people see cat Noir as to much extra - but she is everybit as much of a problem of being to much - to much interfearance in the affairs of others, to much domineering, to much making choices for others, she doesn't lead or encourage - she dictates - that is a really bad look - and you can see it's starting to make Alya uncomfortable too. Where her worship of Ladybug is being short circuited by not entirely trusting Marinette's judgement (which often isn't the best) In short - they both have to grow - there don't have a perfect self - they need to make it - and if Thomas start doing stupid stuff like saying Adrienette is in anyway functional (it's totally not) or that Ladynoir's decent into madness isn't going to lead to them loosing to Hawkmoth (until bunnyx helps fix it) then - yeah then Season 4 wouldn't have any point - not that season 4 ever actually had any point - it's been irredeemably dreadful & depressing for the most part. I simply don't trust Marinette's character to admit she's wrong and that everything is her fault - the show simply will not let her do that - instead they will more likely stoke up some drama with Adrien caused by Nino's big mouth and then blame the collapse in their relationship entirely on him - as that is how Thomas thinks - he simply isn't going to allow her to take the blame - even when they say she did something bad - it's hand waved away and forgotten and forgiven no matter how bad - she essentially socially excluded Luka for months - and it's just hand waved away and now they are "best friends" er... no Luka & marinette don't even have a relationship at all outside some photos and some instagram posts. So yeah they will break Adrien blame it all on him - have them loose and be his fault and not put a single bit of the blame on Ladybug - in other words exactly like they did with Kagami, & Chloe. Heck if Chloe goes full on evil - at some point - they will likely blame it on Adrien abandoning her entirely and not on Marinette who set up everyone one of the paths that lead to Chloe's moral decline. As long as Marinette isn't allowed to be wrong - this show is going no where as healing can only happen if she's allowed to admit to her errors and correct them and not be a perfect goddess/ Mary Sue in a world where all her mistakes are somehow always going to end up being Cat Noir's fault.
you have great points. Sadly, I don't think they will address all of these issues, and if they do, they will probably do so superficially. 😔 Also, I don't like that they basically put Chat noir as a sidekick and Ladybug as the real superhero, which is not fair. The show has great ideas and characters that can be interesting, but most of the time, they don't know how to execute them.
@@ceciliabarrionuevo8782 Best not get me wound up - I am like the Energizer Bunny - I don't stop. I suppose if I force myself to be positive then Marinette hugging him when he dies and is resurrected and she says to quit doing that & hugging him shows some like of him, and she says things like I can't do it without you - where as before she was more like "Ladybug alone doesn't sound as cool" - I think there is a slight change there - she seems to be more reliant on him even though with her improved power and how he's often not a lot of help - I think even if he fails and messes up then saving him is at least a motivator for her. But I wish they'd interact more like season one where he'd make his own choices and be involved in the plans - rather than him standing back and gushing at how marvelous she is. I suppose he had some involvement in Miracle Queen - but it's still pretty rare for him to act like an equal or to be allowed to do so - more often than not she pays him very little mind in a battle.

As much as everyone wants Adrien to have feelings for Marinette, I can speak from personal experience that his "love" for Ladybug is going to do nothing but blind him until it's too late. There could have been a chance since Marinette broke up with Luka and Kagami broke up with Adrien, but his obsessive crush on Ladybug will keep him forever ignorant about Marinette to the point where he doesn't realize it until she's in the arms of someone else

To be honest I don't want them together, okay hear me out before the hate. This is the type of relationship you dream they are together but when they are everything stops making sense, in a general context the main reason we watch it is because of the love square so when they are together we have to focus on the main story line which isn't the best, we love every love scene but when they are finally together the thirst to see what comes next is going to reduce a little, I don't know if you watched this series but in Anne with an E the relationship between Gilbert and Anne was so expected and everybody died when they had a love scene but when they actually started dating the few 3 seconds were enough because is those relationships you just like the chase but not the WHOLE relationship. I understand your opinion and I hope that if they get together the writers would focus on their partnership and their struggles mixed with fluffy moments. If you only get fluff then it wouldn't be interesting. I want to see them training together and joking with each other while maybe keeping their relationship a secret so Hawkmoth and Gabriel don't find out. Imagine how fun it would be to watch Marinette and Adrien hide their relationship from Alya because they are scared that she would accedentally fangirl in public while Alya and their friends try to set them up with each other. Everyone gets frustrated, every time they fail to get Adrienette together, while Adrienette is laughing about it.

I would be a little disappointed if Adrienette happend before Marichat or Ladynoir (both might be plutonic love). Because if you want to believe it or not, Marinette is only in love with one part of Adrien and that is his perfect persona. Yes that perfect persona also contains aspects of who he is, but that is not who he is completely. We heard Adrien describe in detail how amazing Marinette is, but Marinette hasn't done that for Chat Noir. We only hear her call him an amazing partner (= being useful to her). And the only time she really complimented Chat on his qualities was in truth, because she was forced to. I want her to really appreciate Chat, just like Adrien appreciated Marinette on Hero's day. So I don't really like her confessing to Adrien when Ladynoir is crumbling. I want her to confess after their fight is solved.
Marinette doesn't speak about Cat Noir as a civilian - unlike the fanfiction tropes she doesn't really defend him or call him her partner or argue with people who call him a problem for her or a sidekick. That is why I call him her Validation kitty as all he does is validate her feelings and agree with her most of the time.
Just look how she's never shown any remorse about how she's sidelined him - not even using Cat Blanc as an excuse to give him the cold shoulder. Lets be serious here - she's keeping things secret from cat Noir that Hawkmoth and Mayura know - and that Marinette knows they know - and yet she never addresses it - and then when Adrien finds out about Nino & Alya he's not peeved about that he wasn't told something that was endangering Alya - he really should have been told - he's upset as they get to be a "couple" and him and Bugaboo don't - but she never said they could be so it makes him look toxic and entitled - he has plenty or reasons to be legitimately upset with her - and they just ignored those and made up the most sexist toxic reason just to make him look bad and hand wave away her being at fault - and again they don't even use the cat Blanc excuse - she has no excuse for treating Cat Noir like trash and leading him on and then shutting him down like she does.
Also note this through out season 2 - she refused any dates as Unsafe and then she randomly starts going on dates with him & patrolling during the day and night with him (which are essentially dates) - totally giving him the wrong idea about their "relationship" - it makes her look like she's saying "we can't be together yet" and giving him hope - when what she really means is "we can't be together ever - as I love someone else" and she's just leading him up the garden path. It's a lousy thing to do - it make her look like a complete user. Stringing him along keeping him keen then being mean to him when he gets to close - constantly confusing the poor boy.
& she does just the same as Marinette - he asks her if she's interested and she lies to his face every time so even if he wanted to move on - he's given the impression his "just a friend" is only a friend and isn't interested in more. She's totally messed that boys head up.

Though curiously she doesn't have any images of her parents either - but I guess the excuse is they can go in the living room.
But it's kinda depressing that the most that happens is she gets a wee bit distressed when he kills himself - but then she would even if they are only "pals" & yet the complete lack of consideration for Luka and Cat Noir's feelings says it all really - there is no space in Marinette's mind for anything that isn't Adrien (romantically speaking) - which is somehow ever worse now we know they patrol all the time - that she sees him that often and still treats him so poorly is somehow ever worse than her treating him poorly when she doesn't live in his pocket. I wouldn't mind if they were silly - fun flirty friends - but she's not even that nice to him anymore - she's almost mean to him - she's so dismissive and neglectful of him - the poor kid is drowning in a sea of loneliness - now.

He was on a trip with a love interest (Kagami), yet he was thinking about his good friend Marinette. I know that the writers want their relationship to crumble in season 4 for a reason, but it would take a lot of work for Marinette to fix it. I'm so scared that the writers will just gloss over it. Don't try and talk about big topics in kid shows when you don't know how to properly write them.

It's amazing how we can ship these two people differently. I kind of want LadyNoir or MariChat to happen first, because someone pointed out Marinette might be conflicted by Adrien's two personas. Maybe if Ladybug grew to like Chat more and more, and is disappointed by him flattering her less and less because HE was starting to notice Marinette. While Marinette wasn't affected by Adrien so much because she prefers the banter/ challenging relationship she and Chat have.

I’ve had this suspicion since season 2 they both have been denying to themselves what’s right in front of them because it’s the most ideal situation they could imagine. If they go too deep down the rabbit hole of making Marinette Ladybug and Adrien Cat Noir, then it’s what they’ll expect when their secret identities are revealed and they’ll be disappointed if it turns out any other way. In other words, they’re too scared that what they secretly want to be true will turn out to be a convenient lie and they don’t want to face that kind of heartbreak. It’s like if you convince yourself that you’ll get nothing but socks for your birthday so you’re not disappointed when you open up your gifts and it’s not what you wanted, but it’s also better than socks.

They really did a hatchet job on Adrien in this episode, suggesting he has no personality at all - therefore validating both Kagami's inability too see any thing inside his model self and marinette only seeing a surface image.
The problem with that is that it validates Cat Noir as his "true self" and Cat Noir is kind of a berk - so I think the actually truth to both of them SHOULD be somewhere in the middle - Ladybug shouldn't dominate civilian Marinette and cat Noir's stupidity shouldn't subsume Adrien - even if Adrien is a constructed shell his father made - to only be a dufus isn't a success for him Ladybug needs a reliable partner - not a "silly kitty" or a meat shield - he needs to pardon my bluntness "grow up" and grow a a pair - Adrien is way to "safe" and non threatening and Cat Noir is way to creepy and obssessive and neither of them is an idea in any sense. we need Chatdrien - we need the Cat Noir that had a sincere conversation with Marinette in Glaciator.
We also to be again brutally honest to have marinette / Ladybug to dial it back a bit too - people see cat Noir as to much extra - but she is everybit as much of a problem of being to much - to much interfearance in the affairs of others, to much domineering, to much making choices for others, she doesn't lead or encourage - she dictates - that is a really bad look - and you can see it's starting to make Alya uncomfortable too. Where her worship of Ladybug is being short circuited by not entirely trusting Marinette's judgement (which often isn't the best)
In short - they both have to grow - there don't have a perfect self - they need to make it - and if Thomas start doing stupid stuff like saying Adrienette is in anyway functional (it's totally not) or that Ladynoir's decent into madness isn't going to lead to them loosing to Hawkmoth (until bunnyx helps fix it) then - yeah then Season 4 wouldn't have any point - not that season 4 ever actually had any point - it's been irredeemably dreadful & depressing for the most part.
I simply don't trust Marinette's character to admit she's wrong and that everything is her fault - the show simply will not let her do that - instead they will more likely stoke up some drama with Adrien caused by Nino's big mouth and then blame the collapse in their relationship entirely on him - as that is how Thomas thinks - he simply isn't going to allow her to take the blame - even when they say she did something bad - it's hand waved away and forgotten and forgiven no matter how bad - she essentially socially excluded Luka for months - and it's just hand waved away and now they are "best friends" er... no Luka & marinette don't even have a relationship at all outside some photos and some instagram posts.
So yeah they will break Adrien blame it all on him - have them loose and be his fault and not put a single bit of the blame on Ladybug - in other words exactly like they did with Kagami, & Chloe.
Heck if Chloe goes full on evil - at some point - they will likely blame it on Adrien abandoning her entirely and not on Marinette who set up everyone one of the paths that lead to Chloe's moral decline.
As long as Marinette isn't allowed to be wrong - this show is going no where as healing can only happen if she's allowed to admit to her errors and correct them and not be a perfect goddess/ Mary Sue in a world where all her mistakes are somehow always going to end up being Cat Noir's fault.

Also, I don't like that they basically put Chat noir as a sidekick and Ladybug as the real superhero, which is not fair.

I suppose if I force myself to be positive then Marinette hugging him when he dies and is resurrected and she says to quit doing that & hugging him shows some like of him, and she says things like I can't do it without you - where as before she was more like "Ladybug alone doesn't sound as cool" - I think there is a slight change there - she seems to be more reliant on him even though with her improved power and how he's often not a lot of help - I think even if he fails and messes up then saving him is at least a motivator for her.
But I wish they'd interact more like season one where he'd make his own choices and be involved in the plans - rather than him standing back and gushing at how marvelous she is. I suppose he had some involvement in Miracle Queen - but it's still pretty rare for him to act like an equal or to be allowed to do so - more often than not she pays him very little mind in a battle.

As much as everyone wants Adrien to have feelings for Marinette, I can speak from personal experience that his "love" for Ladybug is going to do nothing but blind him until it's too late. There could have been a chance since Marinette broke up with Luka and Kagami broke up with Adrien, but his obsessive crush on Ladybug will keep him forever ignorant about Marinette to the point where he doesn't realize it until she's in the arms of someone else

To be honest I don't want them together, okay hear me out before the hate. This is the type of relationship you dream they are together but when they are everything stops making sense, in a general context the main reason we watch it is because of the love square so when they are together we have to focus on the main story line which isn't the best, we love every love scene but when they are finally together the thirst to see what comes next is going to reduce a little, I don't know if you watched this series but in Anne with an E the relationship between Gilbert and Anne was so expected and everybody died when they had a love scene but when they actually started dating the few 3 seconds were enough because is those relationships you just like the chase but not the WHOLE relationship. Anyways, loved how you edited the video it was pretty funny and sorry if my grammar is bad i don't speak english frequently
I understand your opinion and I hope that if they get together the writers would focus on their partnership and their struggles mixed with fluffy moments. If you only get fluff then it wouldn't be interesting. I want to see them training together and joking with each other while maybe keeping their relationship a secret so Hawkmoth and Gabriel don't find out. Imagine how fun it would be to watch Marinette and Adrien hide their relationship from Alya because they are scared that she would accedentally fangirl in public while Alya and their friends try to set them up with each other. Everyone gets frustrated, every time they fail to get Adrienette together, while Adrienette is laughing about it.
