    @@The Modern Hermeticist -
The translation of the word "mad" in the original texts? Fury, enthusiasm, inspiration and genius - these words denote TYPES of possession, a god being channelled by the initiate. I feel a lot depends on understanding the true meaning of "mad" in these texts.
When the Bacchanalian nymphs are described as "mad" do you know anything about the etymology of the word - are they possessed like the furies?
It's said that the Erinyes were used as vengeance on criminals who they threw into the chaos pit of Tartarus. Perhaps it wasn't just meaningless violence.
I really liked this video- thanks!

The comment on his not celebrating Bacchus at around 5:00 seems to be an allusion to The Bacchae and the fate of Thebes at the hands of the Maenad. Perhaps itself an allusion to something from the mysteries.

This is too much exaggaration of the man. I believe by the time neoplatonists arrived, made the subject much imagnative but boring as well than what was in the times of plato. These later people flooded literature with their exgraggrative imaganative writings.

I have reached terms in age and in personal works where I no longer sit on my chart or transits... live and die by upcoming traits or fixed stars on my natal malefics. As with tarot. Numerology, auto writings etc and my nature... fixed and now clinging onto my wheel, freaking out, freaking everyone else out n basically self fulfilling ridiculous prophecies that thankfully, I know when I fuck a thing up n will just back down to preserve myself n ultimately (but much later).receive the understandings n maturity to really be able to enjoy.. and benefit from any art.
Hard won. The older, deeper arts esp astrology can take me five lifetimes to quit throwing myself lowest energy first at n finally take up my seat dressed appropriately, n greet all those across and beside n truly join the charade. I can truly take a tangent as my destiny and ride it into perilous territory, I learn.
I'm not nearly tracking the days and measures so much as expanding in other life choices n getting epiphanies but finding I'm not cautious... but I'm not feeling as tho I need to practise, but let things really, sink in, digest and comix inside me, in time... it's really rewarding. In all good ways.
Anyway. I haven't ever really cast elections. Ha... just transits, upcoming revolutions that stick out. Yeah, I'm gonna get hectic n see a tangent n drag it down a rabbit hole. But I am of a very imaginative, creative, resilient nature, I just love to become my passions n there are no better ways to master and know a thing for me. Than to commit.
I am going to start casting elections. I am downloading this to really let the doctrine precipitate n come into my awareness.. thank-you for the time, thought, even the cadence in your narration... all your content is hermetics n. chill to me These are the epics, the gods, the beginnings .. As time has elevated my ears to hear. I'm ready to really listen your awesome helping me not have my soul just depart from me in shame.. dragged off to the hospital or nut house.
So good in longer progressions coming back around to learn again n seeing the big picture as never before n laughing out loud at myself.
    Love it. Thank-you.

Also, if the severed head of Orpheus in Lesbos is a metaphor for orphic knowledge and theology preserved in that island, him being torn apart could mean the spread of orphism throughout the world (although the limbs are not the 'head'), and also why he died in more ways than one.

Drawing down the Stars is the outlet you want
      Akurios means LORD
      Pan is Slavic for LORD
Also known as E Io, Joseph
Israel is the Canaan word for Saturn or El, Fruit of Isis and Ra
Esus aka Isis is the Celtic God of Death, he was baptised by John the Baptist from which we get Baphomet. John the Baptist was a Setian. The Ante Christ, Crucified upside down, and called Simon Peter Magus, whom Jesus rebukes when he slices a Roman soldier's ear, when arrested in the Garden, after being caught sodomising his own Nephew. Just like Seth sodomised his Nephew Horus the Younger. It is the Younger who catches his brothers ankle exiting the womb of Sophia, Asherah. Philo's Sophia, Son of Sophia, Theosophia, Son of Sophia, Gaia, Ishtar, Thera, Kythera, Astarte, Goddess of Life and Death just like Apollo is God of Plagues and Cures.
Michael also rebukes Satan when they fight over the Body of Moses, aka Arkenaten, or Echnaton, who also rose the Brazen Serpent. And who is the first and last character in the Book, that reverses at the end, if not the Archangel of Death, Setanus?
Setanus is Typhon, Zephon, Sepher, the Golden Ass, E Io, Yahu, Eyore, Yahuah, Hilaria, Saturnus, Bacchus, Eshmun, Apollo, Sabazios, Adonai, Perseus, Heracles, Pan, Shiva, Hermes, Thoth, Buddha, Quetzalcoatl, the Rainbow Serpent, of the Rainbow Covenant
It is a Curse for the Brazen Serpent to hang upon the Wooden Idol of "Knowing"
And who comes into your home as a thief on the Sabbath at Saturnalia?
Krampus, Kronos, Dagda, Zeus, Father Xmas, Father Time, El, Para,
      Ur
      Urshu
      Uruk
      Uruku Salaam
      Uru Salem
Shalim (Šalām, Shalem, Ugaritic: 𐎌𐎍𐎎, romanized: ŠLM) is a pagan god in Canaanite religion, mentioned in inscriptions found in Ugarit (now Ras Shamra, Syria). William F. Albright identified Shalim as the god of the dusk and Shahar as the god of the dawn.
The Purple Throne of Tyre is the Throne of Jerusalem. Christianity got literally everything wrong! The Arc of the Covenant is the Arch of Baal, the basis of our 365 day Calendar, in fact before being taken over by the Chaldeans, Dorians, and Scythians, Scotia was called Albion, and Caledonia
      Like Macedonia
The Staff of Adon, or Aten
Saidon is root with Esadon, or Ikthobaal, Ikthadon, Isaidon, Dionysians, who worshipped the Moon as the Sun of God.
