There are three essential things in life, three things that we all have and we must embrace them. Time, what we do with our time. Energy, where we are focusing our time. Attention, where we put our focus.

Yeah this is correct and I will always tell other people this if it's asked of me but what I always find is that whenever I'm telling people this I'm also contradicting myself as time is a social institution, a human idea based on the rotation of the planet and the cycles of nature meaning outside of the human mind, it isn't fundamentally real as the universe in which we reside doesn't consider the concept of time as it always exists within the present as it does not memorise things like we do which is the past and doesn't contemplate things that hasn't happend which is the future, it is wholly itself existing in the present but because the concept of time has placed itself as a crucial part of how we humans live, it has become one if not the most important consideration in our lives to make sure we use correctly

UA-cam suggested this to me at the perfect time.. changing jobs, letting go of my father, navigating a new relationship in my romatic life, and regaining sobriety and my mental health all at once. Some of these were my choice, some were not. I have been struggling and after listening to this for the first (and not the last) time, i feel calm and as if i was given an answer to my problems. But the answer is inside us the entire time. Thank you so much for sharing this clarity and boosting my human being as a whole. I will not waste this information, and will do my very best to become the best me, for me. ❤

A Stoic knows that control over one’s own body and mind is essential to living in harmony. We cannot control others, but we can set firm boundaries about what we allow into our personal space. Respect for yourself starts with valuing your autonomy-others may test those limits, but it’s our responsibility to calmly and confidently guard what is ours. Letting someone touch you without permission is yielding control. As Epictetus teaches, ‘You are responsible for your own soul,’ and that includes defending your physical and mental sovereignty.

I just wrote an eloquent long thank you comment for this video and the second I finished before I hit send my battery died and I lost it. 😅 So I will summarize.
Thank you for this video because it brings me peace to know that I have many values and I do not have to get them all done at once in order to be fulfilled.
Pleasure seeking for myself is not satisfying to me because I value growth, learning, giving to others, finding solutions, change and other values as more important for me so when every simple pleasure is available to me I feel something is still missing.
This video helped me see that there is a balance of many values and balance is not stagnant.
When I am focused on one, another will be calling for my attention. So I see that it is OK and that I am allowed to give my attention to whatever seems to be most compelling in the moment and my other values will patiently wait their turn and I can feel peace in the midst of it all.
    So, Thank you! ❤

The typical Chinese just lets the "offended" party in a confrontation wear his or herself out.
They rarely react in what a Westerner would call an aggressive way.
Our mode of confrontation is hard to kick.

I learned it in Ghana. As an American, I realized that we over react to everything. Stress is stored in the body, and if not released, it manifests itself in illness and disease.

We must practice WU WEI, not simply sitting in stillness. Laziness is destruction through passivity, a narcissistic quality. We exist with many toxic archetype cultivators. Existing through human forms, so much chaos and damage is done daily. Only by our study and implementation of knowledge can we turn the struggle towards the positive side... The Golden Age.

Tried these methods many years ago… my life fell apart because I didn’t care like I did before. Lost my ambition to control my environment and thus, it fell apart. Would have kept my job and made more money. Now I have less for my child. I let go, endured, and minimized my stuff. So, now it’s all gone & it’s not peaceful… it’s harder than ever.

I feel you. All this seems fine but I know what people can be like. It sounds "self centered" in a common language type of way. I am wary of anyone that can't say sorry. Or that says it too easily. You will get back, caught up and better than ever. At least you're searching.

What did you let go of?
      Common sense?
The idea is to let go of the frustration over things which you cannot change and learn work around it or accept it and move on. Your child needs a warrior - not a worrier.
