Your 100% correct, I use to have a used Porsche dealership in the 2000s, use to buy and sell them, they are crap to drive, they were crap to drive even back then. The water cooled cars are night and day, and in my opinion the best all round sports cars (especially 997/991) But we still sold them very well because they were always cool, but most customers that bought them would end up asking us to list them for sale few months later. But every car guy should experience them at least once.
I've heard from several Porsche guys that air cooled cars don't drive that great. I have not driven one yet... but they are so beautiful, I still want one.
I have a 1984 G body air cooled 911 and a 2001 Carrera 4 911 and they are both awesome. To get the top performance you have to drive to the edge and you need skills and a set mate. I like that a lot. Bullet proof tough little bulldogs. Could not disagree with your assessment more.
Well, I don't agree with you but congratulate you for your bravery in stating an opinion that goes against the norm. I have a a 1996 993 and enjoy owning and driving it very much!
He's just being provocative on an adolescent level really....everyone has an opinion....and obviously those who like 911's and can afford them buy them and drive them...and those who don't like them and can afford them choose a different car to enjoy....so the significance of this guy saying "I am someone with an opinion different than the ones that like them" is utterly pointless since all adults know that opinions vary and the story ends there.
