I love khao poon I thought my friend was saying kaput. His friend makes it with ground pork, but also had it with the chicken. I can eat that for days. Never had the fish one.
Thanks for sharing this recipe as I've seen so many versions done so many ways, but this is the most similar to how my mom made it when we were in Pakse. I loved the ground pork and pork skin version as that's the version my mom sold there. The main difference as I recall it is that my mom used homemade garlic chili oil on top. :)
