Watching Korda and Sinner hitting their backhands is pure delight! Happy for Korda, i hope he goes deep and why not all the way... he has everything required to be a regular top-10 and win big titles. Just stay away from injuries and keep improving.
Magnificent and elegant game by Korda.
Korda is one of my favorite players on tour, smart, natural power, elegant,... I am surprised his ranking is not yet higher. I see him as a solid future top 10.
I think maybe because he suffered with a lot of injuries after the Australian open, and he’s still sort of just finding his form.
@@TimelyAdventure Yeah, it's hard to come back from long-running injuries. I am glad he is having a lot of deep runs lately. Both his backhand and forehand are strong and beautiful. Net play is also there.
You are so correct.
He's too inconsistent to be in the top 10.
We will have amazing matchs in the future between Alcaraz, Sinner, Shelton and Korda. I had big expectations from Rune but I dont think he will ever win a GS final/semifinal against Alcaraz
Great Performance by Korda 👏
Seb has such a smooth game, he just needs one extra little gear to be among the top guys.
So true.
Perfectly said. He has clean strokes and good footwork, but he’s missing the “fire” sinner, shelton, alcaraz possess.
@@StevenDocuUnfortunately, it’s not teachable
@@falsettogod5853 it’s not, but it can be ignited. Depends on what goes up in Korda’s head and what goes on in his life
He has zero mobility compared to Meddy and the other top guys
This one’s tricky because Korda’s been in good form, but I think the AO loss was on Medvedev’s mind. He played a very nervous tiebreaker, and after losing it just wasn’t the same mentally. Korda is so good at constructing points and dealing with Medvedev’s incredible patience from the back of the court, reminded me of why he’s almost beaten the likes of Nadal and Djokovic previously. I just wish he were more consistent to see him play in matches like this more often… he has a lot of potential to be dangerous in the future
I think the same thing happened to Rybikina She fave a girls who has beaten het three times before and I think she was.a little physed out mentally
Also that tiebreaker Med lost it he had so many oops to win it and played day to day tennis
And his form is like candy too. So smooth.
I always thought Koda has potential like Sinner and Acarez if he hones his skills of being consistent.
That set point saved by Korda 😮
Korda's way of hitting the ball reminds me so much of Lindsay Davenport's.
Great independence of arms, wonderful fluidity of movement and always very deep shots that fall in the last meter of the court.
What a great player!
That set point save from Korda was just incredible.
I like how Korda dragged Meddy to the net, and also approached a lot himself. + he is one of the heaviest hitters which can trouble anyone.
Someone watched the us open final. 😂
Love Korda… beautiful strokes, variety and intelligent game…
Wow Korda sure earned that one. That saved set point was epic.
Korda plays with such ease his strokes are clean and powerful plus he takes it on the rise he needs to improve his net skills and touch but all round very complete player
Wow didn't expect Meddy early exit 😮
Didn't expect it, but I forgot just how good Korda can be. With consistency he's be a big player.
great match from korda this man has a wonderful skills and can go further
Wow...amazing performance. So calm and collected. Very nicely played Korda. 👍
SK had an excellent game plan for defeating DM and the skills to execute it successfully. Many players may have the former when confronting DM but lack the latter. Congratulations on exemplary tennis by SK.
I’ve said it before, Korda is a very talented player and so entertaining to watch. If he stays healthy and committed he’ll easily be a top 10 player.
Korda is an amazing player, if he manages to pull everything together he can stably become a tpp 5
Sure sure.
lool
That’s too much of an exaggeration
No
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Korda has such a high level of tennis talent that he could be amongst top 5 in the world if he could get consistence in every shot he makes. He put a lot of pressure on Medvedev and then Medvedev started to do silly mistakes, this was a great match of Korda!
Agreed. He was about to be promising end of last year and did not make it beginning of this year.
Good to see another one rising up to replace Felix (totally gone, thanks to Toni Nadal)
Korda padre era altra categoria . Korda junior ottimo tennista non di più
If… if…
@@giancarlocimatti6944 non ho avuto il piacere di vedere a Korda padre, ma anche il figlio lo fa bene
The problem is not the consistency in his shot making but his mentality, he often seems to crumble under pressure.
But tbf that got better the past few weeks.
He managed to win some tight matches and I hope it will help him
Congrats Sebastian 👏❤️
Never seen S. Korda play so strategically before. He's currently ranked #33, been a pro for five years, only 23 years old. His best play and win that I've seen so far.
Sebastian Korda has a top-10 or even top-5 game. And yet his ATP ranking is 26. He must gain in consistance. If he succeeds to do so (and I have no doubt this is his main goal), he will become one the best players in the world, including being able to fight for Grand Slam titles.
Well done Sebastian! A well deserved win with beautiful and smart tennis. The pusher/ counterpuncher beaten is always good to see.
You lead three times on a tie break and fail to close it out because of three double faults. It was painful to watch. Could’ve at least made one of them in. That’s crazy. Daniil lost to himself, couldn’t manage his nerves right
Korda played better like he did against Medvedev in Australia open
He might’ve also been tired from his tournament last week
@@Laland_1196 he didn’t. In what aspect? In the first, Korda lost all the rallies and couldn’t even withstand 5+ shot rallies. After the first set, when Daniil gave away a set, obviously Korda caught his momentum and Meddy was down mentally. He wasn’t better whatsoever and both matches, including AO was tight, even if you look at points won. It’s about 50/50
No need for excuses
@@aroam2031isn't a win a win ? Also second set was clearly won so at that point clearly Korda was playing better
Some amazing points. Especially towards the end of the first set tiebreak.
Shanghai has to have some of the best spectators. They get so hyped during intense points and clap politely after
What a beautiful tennis Korda has!
Me encanta el juego de Korda. Es una alegría verle más cercano al nivel que mostraba antes de su lesión.
...¡Estupendo partido y victoria de Korda! 👏👏...Ojalá llegue lejos en este trofeo...👏👏👏💪💪
Realy impressive Korda ! Love his tennis.
The memories of losing that tiebreak at the USO Final and also losing two tiebreaks against Sinner few days ago are haunting him, it was no coincidence or just a "bad day"
Really nice tennis! ✨✨
Fritz, Korda, & Shelton advanced to the next round. Congrats USA! Happy 21st birthday to Shelton who won 3-6 6-3 6-4 against Safluvian.
Sinner will expose him next round.
Korda, gotta give your flowers bro, that match was bananas, that match point save insanity. Congrats you earned this win.
Now we got Taylor, Frances, Ben, Tommy, and Seb all playing at a really high level... this is gonna be so fun in Australia!
If Korda didn't got injured after the Aussie open run this year (he defeated meddy at aussie open as well), he would have been a top 10 and a #1 American by now for sure..
Let's hope he stays injury free and finish this season strong..💪
Not really, he lacks consistency and he’s prone to injuries. He just lost to Mannarino too
@@aroam2031 he’s beaten Alcaraz, made the final in Adelaide, he’s a good player. The injury screwed this season for him
@@sidthiru1509 the injury might’ve screwed him but winning a few matches doesn’t make you a contender for top 10. You have to be consistent all season long, not just one-two months
Woulda, Coulda, Korda, .....Aussie Open, injured, ...French Open, injured, .....Wimbledon, injured, .... U.S. Open, lost to Fucsovic, first round. Seriously.
@@aroam2031 I’m just saying he has potential and it’s not like only won a few matches. He’s about the same age as Sinner so he’s young he has time
Amazing 🤩
Insane level, korda is mature for years, so easy 6/2 what a performance. That double fault in first tie-break from Medv was like shot splinter at 6-5
Well done Sebastian. Great match.
Finally Sebastian Korda starts getting the results he has been deserving.
Good luck!
So happy for Korda👌
So great...Kodra
Wow, didn't see this coming. Korda certainly has great genes and an elegant game but he fails to make a serious imprint in the game so far. Hope this win will give him the confidence to go far.
Can anyone tell me what was alacaraz doing in the stands ?
Analyzing Medvedev's game ?
Yaaaaaaahooooooo!!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Korda deserves it. Great potential. I hope he rises to the top.
great match
Can't resist the joy of Meddy beaten. Thanks Sebastian, intelligent and skillful tennis all the way
The cat on fiya!!!!! 🔥 let’s go!!!
Second time Seb gives Meddy a schooling and it’s a joy to watch
Painful to see you lose again in tiebreak Medvedev. Hope you could oversome & not to be too tense next time when you are in tiebreak. Fighting
Korda took Medvedev to school of tennis and taught him a lesson: art of the game.
Fabulous Korda 💪🥎💙🥎💙🥎🤙
Korda is one of those players who can beat anyone when he’s on, he came so close to beating djokovic in australia. He just needs to find that consistency of form
I am so looking forward to Shelton vs Korda match, may the best player win
Sebby has all the talent to be one of the best. I hope he can pull everything together!
What a performance ❤..magnificent tennis by Korda ❤❤❤
Well done Seb👏
Yeahhh kordaa ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
YES.
Super korda match 💯💢💯🔝
THIS IS A GREAT WIN ! MEDVEDEV PLAYED WELL A PART THE DFs AND STILL HE WAS REALLY WELL BEATEN ... KORDA IF PLAYS LIKE THIS IS TOP 5 . BRAVO !
Very well played S. Korda💪🏻 Seems that things are not going so well for Medvedev, at the moment😉

🎾 Ruud/Hurcazc - Sinner
Sinner is in trouble against Bias. No real need for Sin City to continue going deep now that he's qualified for Turin, so no surprise there.
@@got2bjosh It's only one break and Baez is playing well. Plus he can face Carlos in the final since Meddy is out. I think Yannick will turn this around.
Since wimby and nobdy troubled Meddy like that
This was a masterpiece by Korda
Mixing it up with the slice and the dropshot
Bringing Medvedev to the net more often and hitting the lines very well
The return was on fire too
There is a reason why the recent Medvedev matches (against Alcaraz at the US Open, Sinner at Biejing and now this one) have been a pure delight of rallies
Korda is Medvedev’s kryptonite. That’s the second time he has beaten Meddy this year with the last one being AO 2023.
very happy for Korda.
He is back.
Alcaraz jinxed it by saying Meddy was the player to beat on hard courts 😂😂😂
Wow, how Meddie hated to lose this one 🙂 Korda's tactics worked great...
korda is so so good when he's at his best but he gets too relaxed against lower competition. when he's motivated, like against top 10 guys, he's every bit as good as they are.
Korda's game reminds me of Berdych
From the highlights, Korda played like Djokovic!
The excitement on Alcaraz's face
Medvedev defeated him in US but it doesn't mean he can defeat alcaraz everytime..also alcaraz is not in great form since his Cincinnati loss ..so sinner and other players have chances to claim the shangai title
@@Laland_1196even during Cincinnati he looked shaky in many of those matches. I feel like he’s had a let down since Wimbledon, probably needed more time off before hard court season.
@@TimelyAdventure yeah but he played his best tennis in final thats why i said since Cincinnati final ..if he produced the same Cincinnati final level in Beijing and shangai he won't be defeated
Medvedev beat himself. Oh well. Time to rest, regroup and finish the season strong, though I think he peaked against Alcaraz in the USO semis and was more mentally tough in that match and also in the spring where he was rock solid and won his titles
meddy was like "this is a dream, korda didn't really defeat me?!"
hope he can be an actual wimbledon favourite next year
Lets not get too ahead of ourselves. For that he needs to get through a lot of players including Novak and Alcaraz
LOL. No. Korea had 1 career title.
love u Korda
Korda is somethin' special.
It is nearly impossible to successfully drop shot Meddy. Doesn't matter where he is on the court 😮
Alcaraz enters the chat....
Korda vs Medvedev. Feels like we are back in the 1990s.
@WickedAndWhacked Ahahaha yes ... then, it was "Petr" Korda vs "Andrei" Medvedev, now Sebi Korda (son) vs Daniil Medvedev (no relation).
@@tungt88that's right
And also throw in Shelton, Sinner and Ruud for good measure and it really does feel like we are in a time warp.
Congrats to Korda! What a match from him, staying composed in a tiebreaker. As opposed to Medvedev yelling at his box and throwing tantrums every time he doesn't like the court 😅
And Korda's serve and volley tactic and net approaches were great
Korda on fire 💥💯
Korda a warrior!!!!
caelo's team scouting the competition
Korda must be thinking this Medvedev guy just played US open final and considered a beast on hardcourt.
Sebastian really is a spitting image of his father Petr, except he has more hair 😅😂
Medvedev is a one hit wonder and djoki was exhausted when they played final at us open...his lanky ,wiry game will never be a multiple slam winner he will fade away
Looks like Sebby is back.
Keen to see how his 2024 progresses.
Let's fucking go Korda!!! It's timeeeeee
Back to back tourneys are double edged sword.Won't be surprised if Sinner is also taken out before semis .....
Medvedev 2nd services were like "pls hit a winner I'm begging you"
Let's go Korda!
WHICH ROUND of the tournament is this please? Is it such a mission impossible to mention such basic information in the title or at least in the description?
Shanghai 3.round
Nice from Daniil to give the first set away
If Korda had the fire Shelton has, I think he’d be such a scary player.
Well done Sebastian, beating in form Medvedeva
Medvedev’s form has passed. He beat himself today.
He was literally off today, he was far from his best. Maybe two tournaments in a row and lost final got on him and his mentality
Petr must be proud
