Besides the point, but when reading this I thought about the concept of a dungeon created by an evil wizard to lure explorers in and steal their souls. There was a flash game about that, The Enchanted Cave. It's not horror, but I have thought about (and written a few notes) creating a game with a concept like that, with a single, ever randomizing and respawning dungeon, where death means your corpse could be found in later runs, stuff like that. If I do get around to it, I might just make an easter egg of "death by completely ordinary shithole", complete with the very confused/amused/disappointed big bad saying something as per your comment lol

They know people will rise up to fight him so he devised a plot around this. They would find a way to spread a rumor about a legendary artifact capable of stopping him, when in actuality it was more like a paperweight. So if they can make it back and fight the big bad, he can crush their hopes upon realizing what happened. They would have to find a way to make the story believable, therefore have to make it with half truths. They also have to make the weapon a bit magical, so the user can think it's real but in a way that makes them think they are not using it right. Essentially make the whole ideal an elaborate trap. Probably needs a talented writer to make it all work out, because there can be plenty of holes to poke at. One of them spreading the legend and making the whole thing believable. You also don't want to make the trap too hard to get in like sending one of your stronger minions in, because if they can be defeated, they could be capable of defeating you. Not to mention finding a minion you can trust or have complete control over. You also don't want to make it so that it is easy for people to get in and it needs to feel special.

If the hero did the standard thing, he would have been killed off in the beginning area. The best part is that the anime is comedic, but as you get deeper in it, it becomes darker.
We have records of dozens of Nightmen (the guys who used to shovel out filled cess pits) who spontaneously passed out doing their job. The ones who knew what they were doing worked in teams of 2 with one guy standing up top with a rope and the guy in the hole wearing a harness, in case a pit was particularly bad and he fainted and needed to be emergency pulled out. The ones that didn't know what they were doing often enough had the second guy jump in the hole to carry the first guy out, and sometimes instantly pass out and they'd both just die in there. Shit's no joke, literally.
Every year there's a case like this in Russia. It's at least two deaths per episode. 1 falling into a shithole and 2 trying to save 1. Sometimes 3, sometimes 4 deaths.

Harvestman, we don't really know much about how he kills you. Or if he even does. The only thing that we see is your character getting anally penetrated. Trotur cuts your cock off and leaves you as a potato which is only capable of experiencing pain for the rest of it's existence.

The intent isnt to defile, its to leave you in a state where you cant move before harvesting your intestines by pulling them out-leading to your eventual death when it moves on to removing the rest of your organs. Have fun with that lovely imagery btw and yup, that is why it is called the Harvester. If you knew all this, my bad though but I would still argue that the different intent would classify a different type of fate to experience.
I love how the game forces the player to use irl logic. Because it doesn't feel "video game-y", it boosts the horror element. All "Whatever, this is just a game" thoughts are erased by how we have to think as if it were real, what we'd do in this type of situation if it happened to us so we can make the right decisions
The Grogoroth Ending is probably by far the most excruciating, as the sensation is supposed to be far more horrific than anything the dungeon or even human sensation has to offer in cannon, but atleast its relatively quick? I think?
If it's something so horrible that your brain literally nopes out, I think your very notion of time would be so garbled that it'd either feel like an eternity or instant. Imagine being unable to tell the difference between being tortured for eternity or just dying (or don't imagine it, it's kind of the point lol).
This game's already put me in a survivor mindset. When you were talking about how tortrur gives you the best armor in the game but you need to sacrifice some poor soul for it, i immediately thought that it was worth it due to the nature of the dungeon

This Game should say no matter what you do you"ll die exept in one ending yet it narrates that the character is haunted by PTSD nightmares of the dungeon wondering if he ever leave.
I still think there are worse ways to go in the game... One happen doing the marriage, if that goes wrong, you will stuck with another member being the both an abomination of flesh no longer able to move. Another is with the beheaded wizard summoning that monster that will crush you, already with the pressure against you and the inmortal beheaded wizard not willing to listen is more psychological fear until the end where he kills you. I think there are more, all in their own way of being brutal enough
To be fair, there is also a well in the game and if you go down into it, you won't get stuck in a flooded hole, as you might expect. Instead, there will be a chest and the ability to climb out.

Cut the stinger off. Don't engage the weird claw monster thing. For guards... Chop cleaver hand, guard, chop stinger, chop leg, guard, chop other leg then head. 100% guaranteed to work. The harvest man not sure... You just have to kill it or not engage it. Every enemy is kinda like a puzzle which when you figure it out makes them much easier to beat
Hate to admit but I jumped down the toilet at least 6 times in the first game and twice in the second, for the first game I assumed there had to be some item or skill that would change the result and make it useful, and for the second game I did it because in the row of toilets, one had a bloodstain so I figured it was a double buff, that people that played the first would know never to jump down so this time there was something good there, which is why it was the only one with the blood stain to mark it as a hint.
What's funny, is that early in the 2000s I tried my hand at RPG Maker (a pirate version) and made a demo RPG game (nothing fancy, and I never made any original assets for it) and in a scene, two characters escape a prison cell by jumping into a toilet, but they end up in a cavern leading them to the exit.
Its kinda easy. You need to have the .EXE game downloaded in your phone, and the emulator Joiplay (an RPG MAKER emulator) You can even install mods for the game if you want

EDIT: I actually typed my original comment on the first death. You seriously blurred out all deaths in a video named "5 Worst Ways to Die in Fear & Hunger". The world doesn't need your videos.
Because UA-cam is run by mentally deficient people and the vid would get taken down for showing too much gore, that's why. Most other Fear and Hunger videos have to censor stuff too, so I wish you good luck finding an uncensored vid or playthrough.
