#SpectrumPulse #top50 #BestOf2024
Man, 2024 really set the bar high for this year in terms of music. Kendrick, Taylor, Zach, Tyler and Luke were all among the highlights of the year for me in terms of mainstream albums. I also hope Doechii can get a big breakthrough in the months ahead. Fantastic list as always! ❤
Dude, Spoilers.
@@felixcroc Surely they can be avoided by watching the video and then reading the comments? Anyway, I edited my original post for the time being to avoid mentioning specific positions. Apologies if it ruined the countdown for anybody.
I mean denial is a river isn’t really taking off the way
@@gamerboykessler2142 It debuted on the Hot 100 today even with a double album bomb above it. We'll see what happens with it.

Chappel Roans record is from 2023 though. Also I'd recommend Imaginal Disk!
@beth5627 Yeah, I really regret getting to 'The Rise and Fall Of A Midwest Princess' late. I only included it here because it became popular in 2024. I have a lot of friends who are into Magdelena Bay so I'll definitely check out more from them!
@@mutate34right because nobody cares about most the albums in these unheard albums in spectrums list and that’s because it’s marks job to go outside mainstream

2:57 Some light constructive criticism: the “static” sound effect you use between your transitions is incredibly grating on the ears. Would you consider turning its volume down if not remove it completely?

EE #1!!! Great album.
Putting that incredibly mid taylor album but no blue lips, brat, vampire weekend or imaginal disk is certainly... a choice
I love those albums you mentioned, but wouldn't it be boring for everyone to have the same taste?
Why would he put that Vampire Weekend album on his list when he didn't review it?
I'm kinda glad but also disappointed that Brat isn't on Mark's list. Glad because he isn't sucking up to dumb memes. Brat Summer was really dumb. Also seeing posts on social media (mostly from girls) using songs from the album even though they've never listened to any of her previous albums. Disappointed where if you embrace the meme just a little bit (such as going to a Charli themed dance party in your hometown and seeing her Sweat Tour with Troye Sivan like what I did) you're bound to have a good time.
Just because some of the brat summer types can be cringe doesn't mean the albums bad, it's a great album
who cares what people have listened to before? You been going round questioning them on if they bought her albums before? Everyone gets into an artist at their own pace
I like seeking out music I haven't been familiar with. In 2023 you gave me Rory, this year I hat tip you for Marianas Trench. Yes I know they're popular in Canada not so well known in Australia.
Pop, hip hop and rock had a great year tbh
You're easily the most underrated music critic on youtube, I would absolutely LOVE to see you work with Professor Skye, I think both your extremely thoughtful styles would blend together excellently
Erm, you didn't put the artist I'm a big fan of at number 1, so you are biased and a bad critic. I will be unsubstantiating.
Man I really did think flyin would be a bigger album in 2024
Great list man! Going to check out a few of these picks; some stuff here I missed that you've handily sold me on.

I’m going to die on this hill and say GNX and The Tortured Poets Department are brother and sister albums in my ears. Both of them I feel are from the perspectives of two people at their highest, Kendrick after winning the beef, Taylor at her most popular. They aren’t sonic siblings, but their Jack Antonoff production, their perspectives, and their respective track about looking at the perspective of multiple celebrities and taking it into themselves (Reincarnated and Clara Bow) honestly made them connected to me. One of them is focused, fun, yet deeply tormented, while the other is openly tormented, messy, and emotionally inconsistent, yet as compelling.
"If a death metal album makes my list, you got something special." Your arrogance and narcissism is showing a little bit.
The *only* album from this list video that I listened to last year was "Chromakopia" by Tyler, the Creator! 🤓

He doesn't do worst lists
When is Mark going to make his worst songs of 2024 video public again? Is he still fighting potential unfair copyright claims?
I don't think Mark likes Trump...not that I care much either way, just sayin'
You don’t say
You don’t know good until you’ve listened to MIRAR. If you don’t like good music, I understand, continue listening to whatever you want but I don’t want anyone to regret not hearing MIRAR.
There was nothing "Best" in 2024. It was a very boring and uninteresting in music. Maybe Sebastian Bach was ok. Everyone else released duds.
