One of the reasons people were upset with the censoring is because during the remakes development the original plan was to release the game completely uncensored. For those that were anticipating the remake Rare had teased there was some disappointment to deal with upon release. The original subtitle was even Conker: Live & Uncut before they changed it to Live & Reloaded
BFD's multiplayer was the better party game. L&R's multiplayer was the better shooter. Which is better depends on whether you prefer party games or full-on shooters. I know I put thousands of hours into L&R on dumbots and split-screen alone (never had XBL back in the day). Shit, I can still go back to it and have a blast to this day. Not to mention it looks gorgeous 15 years later, and if bleeps bothers people that much, you can literally turn them off in potty-mouth mode (for multiplayer). Guess that makes it the only Conker game where "fuck" isn't censored.
I remember playing countless rounds of Heist, Beach, and War with my brother and friends! With L&R I also remember playing MP a bunch, even in Xbox Live, but it wasn’t quite as memorable, but still a ton of fun
The N64 multiplayer took up my high school weekends 😄 Bouncing between Banjo Tooie, Goldeneye, Bomberman 64, Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, and Conker with my friends was so beautiful
So jealous you had conkers as a kid I had to wait till I was a teen to buy a copy myself 😭 so thankful I had an uncle that had it so I could play it occasionally
You know which other impressive soundtrack made of fart sounds also played in the background of ExoParadigmGamer’s channel??? The theme song of the massively under-popularized Whiny Bitch Gamer!!!!! m.ua-cam.com/play/PLmu3hhmRiEwFYNrhllplP0dlCeDofCrnV.html
the only censorship part that somewhat ruins anything is the beloved Great Mighty Poo song, and I have to agree on that part. but people say it's uncensored after first playthrough unlocked. other than that, I played the remake first since the original wasnt released in germany, while it was on XBox and I just got the X360 one year later, when I also got that game :D for like 10€ !
I don't like that the overall aesthetic of the remake is obviously mature and edgy. Conker 64 looked like Banjo. You could trick your mom into buying it for you. The remake plays great, but I miss that bit of charm.
Jake Tomlinson Ok, stop replying to people that say they prefer it due to charm. People are allowed to have opinions. Just because you disagree doesn't mean they are "Autistic" as you say. The reason they say "Cartoonish" and "Charm" is because, despite the Mature nature of the game, keeping a cartoonish art style makes the gameplay more entertaining in my opinion. You could surely say Super Mario 64 DS is the superior version due to added stars and the extra features it provides, but that doesn't make people prefer it over the N64 version.
@@unoriginallastname9363 Theres more darker shadows. They tried making Conker look less like a cartoon and more like some pseudo realistic character. It tries to look so upto date that it looks outdated. The extra fuzzy furball looks TERRIBLE. And so many characters have this issue. It just doesnt look like a cartoon anymore. It looks closer to Maximo
Lava racing and "it's war" are the most rage inducing parts imo. The hit detection was complete bullshit on the lava racing and the laser mines on "it's war" were impossible to avoid.
@@XavielArt Does it matter what lasers they're talking about? THEY ALL SUCK!! When they're not poorly explained, they're almost impossible to jump and hover past without clipping one of them and dying! I got so many Game Over's from those stupid lasers it's not even funny. Thankfully that was the original. The remake's improved controls make it much easier to avoid them.
@@OfficialBulldozerStudios it does cause the mines where you have to hide behind rodent are way easier than regular red ones which you have evade manually. The original poster was referring to red ones. Pyramidie was talking about something else
Yeah. The lasers you have to jump and crawl past during the countdown is actually a huge jump in skill compared to the rest of the game. There's just about no room for error. If you hit a laser that's up high you fall down through the rest of them and it instantly kills you, not even any i-frames to speak of.
I think the dual analog shooting controls actually debuted with Alien: Resurrection for the PS1, which released in 2000 and was developed by Argonaut Software. Ironically, this control scheme got a big thumbs down by Gamespot at the time saying it was the games worse aspect
@@ToYoVG Technically Medal of Honor from October 1999 was the first to have proper dual-analog controls for a FPS. It’s a bit slow by modern standards but once you get the hang of it, it plays great.
I've always thought Live and Reloaded looked like a good remake and wondered why it was so hated besides the censoring, turns out there wasn't really any other reason. Also, I agree the graphics of both versions are amazing, they both pushed the limits of the respective systems they are on. Anyway, this was a great review as always! I've seen people complain about how long your reviews are, but honestly, I personally like how in-depth you go and it's great that such in-depth reviews exist for those, such as me, who like that. Just felt like saying that.
People hate on the remake way more than necessary cuz it's a remake. The only minor complaints besides censorship are the load times(which aren't that long at all) and multi player is very different. But I still liked the multi player in the remake, and controls are way better. There is also minor differences here and there, but I didn't really notice most, only when others point them out. You will most likely only notice if you are a reviewer that has to pay VERY close attention to everything. But I did notice that the soldiers eye falls out when electrocuted in the remake, which makes it funnier, lol. Also, when the mob boss is explaining how to get rid of the bomb, he says "take it up here" and it shows a picture of Berri's ass for like 2 seconds, and it's only 2 seconds, but makes it way funnier in the remake. Also the lack of electric eels was also noticeable in my first play through in the remake. That's the mainly the only differences I noticed the first time playing Live and Reloaded.
Well the other problem is that it was originally going to be called conker's bad fur day uncut edition and people thought it looked great and that it might uncensor absolutely every curse word used. But then it was changed to being even more censored than in the original to appeal to a younger audience. So because they did the exact opposite people weren't really going to be happy with it. So I'd say some of it was just down to bad advertising of the game. People don't like bait and switches even though for whatever reason that's becoming more and more common on PS3 and Xbox (from what I can tell). The biggest thing to look out for is a thing at the bottom saying "Not actual gameplay". As long as you have that in mind and potentially just see what people think of the game (people not companies) you probably won't end up buying a bad game. I'd go into more detail but this comment is already getting long.
MrKockNoker You’re forgetting one of the biggest reasons people hate the remake and that’s being it misses the point of the original’s existence. Conker’s Bad Fur Day is a game that relies on the fact that it appears to be a standard kiddie romp, with its friendly colors and cute characters, but is actually a raunchy comedy that’s extremely inappropriate. The remake however makes the game look muted and tame game so it surprises no one whenever it does something adult. Not only that, the animations look way less expressive than the N64s. Visually the remake fails which is a huge detriment to its downfall.
The actual reason is bc there was actually going to be a sequel called conkers other bad fur day. However Microsoft purchased Rare and canceled the sequel to make a remake
"It's War" was one of my absolute favorite parts, especially in the remake. The teddiez and Conker actually have proper uniforms which improve the feel of the chapter to me. loved that section of the game, but I can see how the artificial difficulty due to a miserable control interface in the original is a call for annoyance.
Eh the costumes are shit honestly ruins the entire feeling of Conker suposed to be having a bad day and just wants to go home. NOTHING TO DO with playing dress up. Who the fuck dresses him anyway huh? The genral gets him naked just to play dress up
The point about censorship is fair enough but they really shouldn't have messed with the Great Mighty Poo song, if censorship was _demanded_ they could have rewritten the lyrics slightly but as it stands the beeps are really grating and ruin an otherwise amazing song.
seems weird that they felt a need to censor something that released on nintendo many years earlier since sex and violence in entertainment has just grown increasingly more common and bold over the years. for example i remember hearing they threatened some of the friday the 13th movies with an x rating unless they cut the more violent scenes, now there is stuff 100 times worse and more realistic looking in rated r movies. hell there are probably a few pg13 movies more mature content than friday the 13th.
This is capitalism. Everything has censorship. Commercialism itself is still a form of censorship, you produce the product with stipulations designed to fit mass appeal, condemn that behavior, don't glorify that, etc, and it's still a form of censorship. But I can guarantee you, no company is going to ignore commercialism. Commercialism, obscenity guidelines, these themes are too taboo in comparison to the other, this is presented too angry, too dark and violent and etc to etc. Ev-ery-thing is censored. In America, in France, in Russia, in Britain, in pretty much every modern country if not possibly all of them.
@the ghost of David Korresh no, no its not. Plenty of other games that are way worse. The fact that this game is rated M for mature but the targeted audience were teenagers. Theres your problem. If ratings had any meaning at all then knowing you are buying an M rated game should tell you all you need to know. Shits not ment for kids. I can point out multiple games that have worse nudity, worse language, worse references... i mean even the new title atomic heart has TONS of foul language. Its fuck this and fuck that. And not only that but your "commercial sensorship" deal is flawed. They dont censor porn.... anymore. And what about TV shows that have soft ratings or no rating and show everything mentioned above plus some more... Lets be honest, Live and Reloaded was a failed attempt to push conker on kids. That and the fact that during the time of live and reloaded came out, GTA was under HEAVY scrutiny for being to violent and vulgar. So maybe they were trying to seperate themselves from that hell-atious prosecution from the media. Just a thought.
I like some of the aesthetics and animations in the original more. Live and reloaded also has some weird differences like that one grass patch during the hive run doesnt slow you down removing the small bit of challenge that task had.
Honestly, live and reloaded has its weird and glitchy moments, but it's the best looking version of the game, even though its been censored more than the original.
Seemed like live and reloaded was harder to me. Thought I'd never play it again after my N64 cartridge was stolen, with as expensive as they are. Glad this one came out even though emulation is out there now
MS promised them they could continue doing games like they were, with a bigger budget, but once they signed MS = "access denied" to basically everything and anything they wanted to do, from a conker 2, to the next perfect dark, to a few others games already drafted, including some new stuff ready in the pipeline, but MS canned everything that didnt already have legal liabilities to release = why what they did release was all essentially below normal standards as MS forced them to cut corners to clean their tables and everything made new under MS very much = D grade, MS didnt buy Rare so they could make great games, it was a corporate tactic of buying and shutting down competition that was forcing and creating to much innovation and kept raising the bar to high and to fast = corporations hate this because they cant milk and recycle the same thing over and over = think COD series.
@@dothelukaszkillchain8036 they're really similar though. I used to primarily play Playstation for a long time but when I needed a game pad for pc using the xbox360 game pad wasnt bad at all it feels very similar.
@@wooperthebestt A lot of people including me because of the story find the Remake a farcry from the Original. It made the story a lot more generic and boring where it feels like no one put any actual effort in it.
It's a garbage remake, the humor in the original R&C and the overal relationship between Ratchet and Clank was amazing, they actually started to hate each other because Ratchet wants to defeat Quark after his betrayal on Umbris but Clank wants to get after Drek as fast as possible. Thus creating a tense moment between them in later cutscenes and I really liked that. The game felt more darker too, especially when you go to Orxon which is not an easy level to play and the overall presentation and to play as Clank which is very vulnerable on such a eerie place was absolutely amazing. The problem with the remake is that it's been made with the movie in mind which was a reimagined story making it feel more like an actual kids game, the movie was alright, but again the humor was toned down for kids. And not to mention the majority of planets from the original aren't in the remake. And reducing the RYNO thug to a midget matrix clown was just a fuck you for the true fans. I never forgive Insomniac for butchering their own masterpiece. Better avoid this trash and play the original, hopefully A Rift Apart will be a salvation.
Haedox If you & Exo wind up getting into a fight & end your friendship. Don't take two years to tell him that you want him to take down any & all videos referencing you like Jirhard's former friend is doing right now please. Regardless of my feelings towards you that are clear by this point. Regardless of if you're the sole reason I don't watch Unversed Cast. Regard of if you would do a rant if Mark Haynes were to announce that the Super Mario Bros Z reboot is cancelled. Because I think that's gonna happen if I'm being frank.
Funny thing about the censoring thing bit on the Xbox version is that in the multiplayer portion of the game there is a code to completely remove the censoring. ONLY on the multiplayer section. We are talking EVERY swear word. I thought Live and Reloaded looked so good that it feels waaay beyond its time even looking like a current gen game.
51:47 heck in 2018 they added live and reloaded to the xbox one backwards compatibility program and the digital version is $10, so it's even more accessible now
THANK YOU! You actually draw attention to how people shat on Live and Reloaded for very closed minded reasons and did not look at the bigger picture. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought people were complaining too much. I will admit the multiplayer in live and reloaded is controversial though. But I'm talking about the main single player
Personally I prefer the original over the reloaded. The cartoony and simple design works well. I dont like conker losing his white gloves and wearing shorts. I also dont like how they modernized his design. Remake =/= modernize. That's also why I dont like the remakes for pokemon games. Because they change the era they're from when they had their own charm originally. Look at Pokemon Pikachu/eevee over actual Pokemon Yellow. And I'm not talking about updating graphics or updating gaming mechanics. I'm talking about taking the original style and changing it for something closer to our time.
I preferred the N64 original mostly because I will always take couch multiplayer over online one, still, I always felt Conker was a more fun game to watch than to play, so in these youtube days its better to look for a lets play.
what i didn't like in the remake outside the censorship: conker eyes no more look around and look a lot more dead. some of the scene that use original sound has been changed (in the bank for example ) ,animation and effect can be strange and...that is it. i kinda prefer the n64 one but it was hard to finish it,in the other hand i finished and enjoyed it a lot more on my xbox (360) and it was really fun,but the cd of the game is really hard to run on my 360 but the n64 game still work. just for this game i would love a xbox emulator (and maybe panzer dragoon orta)
46:00 Holy shit, this might be the first time in 20 years I've heard someone reference that game without specifically looking for a video about it. One of my most nostalgic games ever.
Called it lol I didn’t even watch the vid but I guessed from your comment either get force gemininOR SPACE STATION CILICON VALLEY LOL2 really unknown games both pretty dam. Fun tho lol
I might be alone in this, but the bleeping makes the dialogue more funny to me. Swearing on its own isn't funny. Stuff like that stops being funny after you reach the age of 16 But the bleeping for some reason always gets a chuckle out of me. I can't really explain why, but it does to me
Literally the only part the bleeping harms is the great mighty poo song, it just breaks the tune of it. Even if they just left the 'twat' in and censored the 'shit' that would've preserved the integrity of the rhyme at least. Its just less satisfying to listen to. Every other instance of censored swearing doesn't do any harm though, and in some cases it's much funnier and more cartoony that fits with the aesthetic
I would like to note that the timestamp to the end of the video leads to a spoiler light ROR verdict, not a spoiler free one. If you want to come into this game totally blind with no knowledge of gameplay or story, then skip this video. It's impossible to talk about these games without getting into some of the more shocking scenes or discussing surprise gameplay styles. Also, these two games were rated M for a reason, so exercise viewer discretion.
Pretty reasonable assessment overall. At the time, the Xbox one disappointed me as I kind of expected more/better though in retrospect, it's a pretty comprehensive remaster (especially considering what constitutes a definitive remaster these days). Obviously the graphics and controls are better in the remake however I still prefer the original. I just think the cruder, cartoon look of the original offers more humor for the OTT slapstick going on. I find the controls meh on both (worse on N64) but I can power through it in either version. I also prefer the audio in the original (especially the mad pitchfork battle).
Zeno Salazar yes, it was dope, it had Chapter X like an extra story explaining things before amd after the story of the singleplayer campaign of conker, and it was totally offline ofcourse, it was something like battlefront 2( the original) capture objectives, defend positions, capture the flag, you had classes of squirrels /teddiz (sniper, Demolisher, sneeker, the flamethrower, grunt and skyjockey) and yeah thats why conker live and reloaded is way better than BFD N64 and just because it has some words censored and you have the nostalgia googles doesn't mean its a bad game
Honestly, having played the original growing up, I think they did a phenomenal job on the remake and it doesnt bother me that they took a few creative liberties here and there. As a fan of the original, I wholeheartedly enjoy the remake and I think some people are just drunk on nostalgia and are too picky about the minor changes.
After playing Live and Reloaded, I agree. I never played Conker back then until Rare Replay came out. I decided to grab L&R after seeing this video. And yeah, You and Exo pretty much explained it
Damn dude, you put a lot of effort into this video, you did an amazing job! Although I prefer looking at N64 version because of the aesthetic of the game and the uncensorship (Reloaded has some beautiful graphics no lie), I understand your points. I've never personally played the game myself, but i'll take your word for it. I also feel like the game's story really is more fun to watch than actually play imo.
I was already leaning toward Live & Reloaded because of the graphical improvements, but with all of the other improvements taken into account, that definitely solidifies my desire to play the remake over the original. Great work!
It's a REALLY good game. One of my favorites. I respect the original for what it is but after playing the remake with it's improved controls and GORGEOUS visuals I can't play the classic anymore. I was really disappointed they didn't include both in Rare Replay (although I don't even have an xbox one).
cd2220, Yeah, it just seems kind of silly. So much work was put into the remake, and they even use the art from the remake in the Rare Replay menu. But nope, instead we get an ultra high-res N64 game. It's weird because they used the updated version of Perfect Dark.
@@cd2220 I'm glad at least the n64 version is in the rare replay. I prefer it over the l&r version both for level design and graphics. Fences on edges? Did osha have fit with the first game? And the goblins (I forget what they were called) are over used. And the fur is awful. What were they thinking? I'll admit the controls are a bit clunky but they're still easy to pick right up again even after all these years though that might be because I seem to be more highly adaptive as a gamer compared to others. I just got rare replay last night so I'm a quarter of the way through so far. I'll try to remember to give an update when I finish
Project 64's editing of the controls is how I played the original. It actually worked really well on a Duelshock 3 It's a shame Rareware didn't upgrade the controls as it DOES work beautifully as I felt with the emulated controls. It's a missed opportunity
Here's an ROR idea: Rayman 2 (Dreamcast, though really any original version minus PS and GBC will do) vs. Rayman Revolution (PS2) Rayman 3 vs. Rayman 3 HD
As someone who always heard about how good Conker’s Bad Fur Day was, I bought Live and Reloaded and enjoyed it immensely. I didn’t even really notice the censorship.
@@Nemissis4265 it really isn't that big of a deal. I played BFD first and live and reloaded is better in almost every way when it comes to gameplay, which is imo a bigger deal then censorship. I still like BFD's aesthetic more however.
exactly. the live and reloaded multiplayer is VASTLY inferior to the N64 multiplayer. that alone makes the n64 version worth playing over the xbox remake in some respects.
Stephen Weir It makes sense why he didn't talk about the multiplayer much, most people buy both games for the single player experience and some people don't have friends to play it with
Stephen Weir Who the fuck is going to play multiplayer from a platformer game from 2001?? Even then, who the fuck is gonna tolerate the inverted controls/shit controller scheme? Unless you’re into playing with bots, single player is vastly more important.
Having never actually played Reloaded thanks to not owning an Original Xbox and just seen the cutscenes, I'm surprised at how many improvements there actually are for the remake. I am glad that you mentioned how characters don't move their eyes because that and some animations being stiffer than the original make the remake less alive to me. An example you didn't mention is how The Great Mighty Poo doesn't move his eyes anymore, he did in the original plus his eyewhites were actually green however it was change to white & an unanimated texture in the remake. However things like the remade music, modern controls and less-frustrating gameplay tweaks makes me view the remake in a higher regard than before. Thank you for helping me see the game in a different light. :)
Nah, If I would see Live and Reloaded for the first time, I would think it would be like all the other people are saying in this reply section a early Xbox 360 game. The game isn't so detailed that it could pass as a Xbox One title. But, If I were actually to think that it was a One title, then I would think it would be a prototype or Beta...
28:47 The duel analog aiming scheme actually existed before the 6th generation of consoles. It it said to have originated in the Playstation 1 game Alien Resurrection developed by Argonaut games.
guess they may as well have had one game use the 2nd analog stick to show it did have a future purpose. they probably should have waited til the ps2 to design that controller, microsoft may not have even thought of it if not for the pointless dual shock 1 controller, that didn't even use it, giving them the idea.
I'm pretty sure people bias live and reloaded because it was promised to be FULLY uncensored, although that is pretty dumb, but the idea of giving a promise to a general public must have been really ticked them off.
Well, if you explicitly stated it would be uncensored and plenty of fans are handing out their hard earned money exactly because of that and then, you turn them down; these people will be pretty justified in feeling ripped off (and you seem to try to imply like they're not). Not everyone looks for the same thing in a product, mind you.
I definitely prefer L&R personally, just for the controls. I actually just found out that it's now backwards compatible with Xbox One. Dug out my copy and popped it in last night. I will say I have great memories of the original game's multiplayer. My friends would play Beach for the most part, taking turns as squirrels and bears. Was a lot of fun.
Perfect timing. Finally had the opportunity to play the remake and I've gotta say, this has to be the only games I've played where the streamlined design was fully justified. I've never looked back at the original with nearly as much disdain as I did after completing each chapter of Live & Reloaded; each section of which reminded me just how tedious they were to get through in Bad Fur Day. Live & Reloaded may have been a slight missed opportunity overall but I must commend it for its stunning devotion to perfecting the framework of the original, creating the definitive way to experience the game for the first time and certainly, all over again for long time fans. Overall, great remake and great review.
Oooh I am so glad you understand that RGB SCART and the XRGB-mini Framemeister is the hands down best way to play older non-HDMI games and consoles. So many other bigger gaming channels like Game Grumps just don't want to admit that there is finally a better alternative to their horrid S-video quality and giant CRT monstrosities they have to use. The only use CRTs truly have now are light-gun games and ROB, things like that. I wish more people knew they could play their older games with the help of modern technology (60frames, proper scaling, RGB and HDMI) rather then then what they ignorantly call the "retro" way to play the games. And yeah, on a side note, like no Nintendo console has built in RGB so honestly when you finally see how good the games look on a RBG modded system it's purely like experiencing the games in a brand new light.
I agree with you on most things, but for Nintendo while it's mostly true, the original SNES had RGB along with Pal Gamecube and Pal Wii, but yeah, I wish Nintendo made RGB more common, I had to mod my N64 for RGB. But now you can get RGB on a US Nintendo Gamecube with the GCHD Mk-II.
One thing I'm really sad no one talks about is how amazing the background art is and how it shows each area by moving the camera around. When I played it when I was younger and before knowing what each area is, I LOVED the background art and trying to guess what each area is
Thank you! Over the last decade I have found myself laughing at *bleeps* much more than I have the actual cuss words. The 21st century has actually found a way to make cussing played out.
Great review! I actually played both versions back in the day. I bought the game for the N64 when it came out (for 170DM, which would be ca. 90€ today) and borrowed a friends XBOX when he got L&R to play that version. Unfortunately I lost my N64 copy in the early 2000s and just now decided to get the game again for N64. I have just finished my playthrough today and I can relate to all of your criticism when it comes to Conkers shortcomings in the gameplay section - despite all of my nostalgia for the game. And I also remember having a more "smooth" experience with L&R. I agree on your verdict 100%!
There are a few things about the censorship that I noticed you didn't address. Likely since the info has, at this point, gone by the wayside. I don't think it's necessarily just the additional bleeps over the swear words that had people upset. It was due to the fact that the original version of Live and Reloaded was meant to be called "Live and Uncut." While it eventually dropped the "Uncut" aspect for whatever reason, I believe people still assumed they'd at least get the same amount of swearing as the N64 version. But finding out it was not only NOT uncut, but censored even more despite the possibility of being fully uncensored at one time, it's likely the reason people were up in arms. One more thing worth mentioning on this subject, since the multiplayer in Live and Reloaded didn't tickle your fancy, is that finishing the story mode would unlock "Potty Mouth" mode in the online multiplayer. The result of this was fully uncensored swearing, including liberal use of the word "fuck" for the first time in the series. While I can't speak for the rest of the fans, finding this out as a kid was one of the reasons the remake irked me. They managed to work in uncut swearing in one manner, yet made it even less prominent in another. It was more the inconsistency that bugged me than the lack of curse words. The only reason I can think of, as you stated in the video, is that they simply found the bleeps funnier upon a second glance and didn't expect the backlash. I must say though, I do fully agree that it doesn't hamper the experience of the remake and it's almost entirely the superior version. Sadly I only own a boxed copy of the N64 version and Rare Replay, so playing Live is not as easy for me nowadays.
Jake Tomlinson Jesus Christ, what is your problem with autism? I’m autistic and I’m just as flabbergasted as you are about how people think the original is better but I’m not going around pointing fingers.
Oh boy if youre not just the biggest xbox fanboy in this section. From a technical standpoint, the Xbox version is better, but from a subjective point, the N64 version is better. Welcome to the internet, where people have opinions.
Thank you for making this... I randomly just became very interested in Conker and this is exactly what I was looking for. As great as N64 nostalgia is, it sounds like the remake is the way to go... too bad it doesn't have achievements.
No the retard has no idea what hes talking about. The 64 is THE only way to go lol you loosse about 40% of the game when playing that shit r tard and reloaded
Not hard at all if he’s using any psp but the original one. The psp 2000 and up including the Go have a video output port on the bottom. All he needs is an av cable out for capture to send to his framemeister.
I love Conker's Bad Fur Day. I wish Microsoft would do more with Conker, I know Master Chief is Xbox's mascot but I genuinely feel like Conker could've made a great mascot for the Xbox brand, or at the very least been up there with Master Chief as well kinda how Nintendo has Mario as the face of the brand but still has Link, Kirby, Donkey Kong, etc. I'd love it if they remade Conker again, or just enhance port the Live and Reloaded version with updates. Even more modern graphics, while the art style looks great it's definitely dated now compared to modern games in a similar style like Crash 4 for example so a nice coat of HD paint would be nice, add real eyes to ALL characters and to appease all sides add a censor option in the options menu give us like 4 options, original N64 censorship, Live and Reloaded censorship, complete censorship if you want that for whatever reason, or as a first for the series no censorship at all and people can play however way they want. Also add skins for Conker, while I love the redesign in reloaded I wouldn't want that to be the only look Conker has so an option to play as the original Conker with the gloves within modern graphics would be awesome, they could even give him another skin that's retro Conker for the old school gamers.
Other than the censorship, Live and Reloaded is an unbelievably high quality remake. How lucky we are such an obscure game got this treatment. Bonus, I run it in 4K on my Xbox One X.
No you d ride and cant think for yourself lol. The orginal is 10x better and the price shows it 😂🤣🤣😂🤣. Still worth 70$ shit and reloaded 5$ on xbox market store
Hey, I'm going to be frankly honest with you. Yes, it is "upgraded" graphically but to me the original is actually more visually pleasing. And also as an artist, I hate censorship in any artistic medium no matter what it is censoring. Why? Because I know I wouldn't want my art censored. That's my problem, I will always have a problem with something being censored.
What I love about these reviews is that rather than getting a general sense of your opinion from the get go, the review swings from the positives to the negatives. And when it swings, it swings from high to low. I swear there was a point where I thought to myself "this must be like, his favorite game" but then the negatives just totally flip that on it's head and now I think you think Rare is just a room full of idiots. Then it gets to the conclusion and finally everything makes sense and I understand what your opinion is. Needless to say it's very entertaining.
The scrub has no credibility and is a retdard 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣. The original is the only way to play it. They waterd down and turnd it to shit. Tryd it again since its 5$ on xbox store and its still shit. Would rather set up my 64 and play in 720
tarabaci I always took it as a joke of the Hero's Journey type of story. "CROSSING THE THRESHOLD. At the end of Act One, the hero commits to leaving the Ordinary World and entering a new region or condition with unfamiliar rules and values".
Torrie Starfrost Huh, I always thought it was some kind of vampire reference since they can't enter a house without being invited but the video game event makes more sense.
The reason people were upset over the censorship in Live and Reloaded is because it was originally shown as a version with no censorship and all scenes removed by Nintendo added back in, such as the Tediz experiment scene. Next thing we know, we have a version with even more censorship, and a dismissed artstyle. Is it bad? No. Is it disappointing? For me, yes.
I came to this review years ago and saw that Exo recommended a blind playthrough. Cut to just now, I just got finished playing Conker's and wow. I can even describe what I had experienced.
the nostalgia for me growing up was that I was around 5 or 6 when the N64 came out, and our parents didn't understand the rating system so.... this game was totally awesome ^_^
I'd say the Xbox version would be a replace if it had the same cartoonish charm of the N64 version. And I don't mean changing the visuals. The Xbox version got rid of so many visual gags and exaggerated expressions that the feel of the game is entirely different. The cartoon elements combined with the Xbox version's art style would have been awesome. Add the improved controls and gameplay and you'd have no reason to go back to the original. And I exclude the multiplayer modes. They're probably both equally good, but I couldn't be arsed to play them for longer than a few minutes.
Jake Tomlinson your such an Xbox fanboy who can't understand what an opinion is... Jesus your more cringy and pathetic than them just because you're bashing on everyone you dislike. and how old are you 10? using a death threat is just low
This video came out at the perfect time, the let's play channel I co-run with my friend saw us gearing up for Conker and we were going to go with the Rare Replay version for the playthrough, but your in-depth review and analysis tipped us over to playing the Xbox Version and I feel we had a better playthrough for it. Thanks a lot, pal.
Great video. Be interesting to do a follow up taking an emulated version of the original into account; due to upresing and other additions the emulator can add. Apparently there are codes when you emulate the n64 game that make it run at 60fps, fix framerate drops, and plays it in widescreen. With immediate save states and ability to speed up slower moments, it makes a huge difference to the original's playability.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe another common complaint/criticism about the remake is that some areas in the game lack texture. The graphics in general are better, but the lack of detail and texture makes it look a little more flat/bland than the original. The Great Mighty Poo is a prime example of this. In the original, you can see all the walls moving with oozing patterns (which are also on the Great Mighty Poo's body), and it really looks legitimately like feces. Unfortunately the remake doesn't seem to have that, and the poop cave doesn't really look like poop all that much, and instead just looks more like a generic cave. The textures on the walls are flat, stiff and hardly move at all. The pool of diarrhea in the middle resembles feces more than anything else in the cave. The Great Mighty Poo looks like he's made of Playdough rather than feces due to the flat texture, and not to mention the inside of his mouth isn't greenish yellow like it was in the original, which partially eliminates the gross factor that he had in the original. If there's anything else I have to mention, the way his mouth moves is a little awkward, and like you said it looks like they just reused the motions/movements from the original game, which doesn't look as good on a more advanced console with better graphics. Also his eyes are stiff like you mentioned earlier in the video as well. The only thing I really liked about it was the song, his voice being deeper and more powerful in the remake was a nice touch, even though the echo effect was a bit distracting. Not to mention the bleeps cut off some of the rhymes and lyrics, which was the only time the censoring really seemed to bother me in the game.
I would watch this, but I'm waiting until I actually play this. All I remember about this game is an old review that I think isn't on YT anymore. It was overwhelmingly negative, just to completely make it pointless at the end with "This game isn't bad because of this, it's because it killed rare!!!"
I remember that. I wanted to like that review because the guy was respectful and even pointed out things he liked about the game, but then he threw in that last little bit.
D r e a m D a y z aka Royal Play it for yourself, easy to emulate. My personal opinion of it is some of the gameplay is iffy hut the humor is hilarious.
Well to be fair the Phoenix King wasn't completely wrong. But at the same time, Nintendo (to an extent) and Microsoft did contribute to RARE's fall from grace. Microsoft is considered to be the real reason why RARE died because over the years, besides maybe shelling out one or two decent/good games, they did not treat RARE with respect at all, especially with that thing they did with Conker a few years back and the controversy behind Nuts and Bolts.
Just noticed something in my last playthrough of the game, The Abusive Cog wasn't the only one whose eyeball geometry was removed in Live & Reloaded; They did the same thing to The Great Mighty Poo. Lame...
The OG is definitely in my top fav ov all time, coming home after high school for about 6 hours for about 6 months straight with my friends playing multiplayer, the best moments and memories for me. Dude, thanks so much for covering this game, I feel the remake has its things as well as the OG, although OG is weird at times, my personal opinion is that it's better.
Great review! Had heard of Live and Reloaded but didn't know it was a straight up remake of the original N64 version, so thanks for pointing out the differences. Will definitely be getting Live and Reloaded on Xbox One when it becomes available later this month.
Great video! Thanks for mentioning the great improvement off the Reloadeds controls. I haven't played the N64 version but the controls on the Replay Retro version was horrible. I finished the game on Xbox and didn´t have any problem wirh the censorship, the jokes were great anyway.
Wow Great review! true gamer hands down. I appreciate your time I really do and thank you for reviewing it because I didn’t know which one to choose. I am subscribed now and I really like your video can’t wait for more!!
Played the original on N64 and then finally played Live and Reloaded on Xbox 360 via backwards compatibility. I LOVED the Xbox version! Now I have Rare Replay and Live and Reloaded on Xbox One and...the original is kinda unplayable.
So first thing I want to say is excellent video, as always. I have a possible reason for the censorship controversy, in case you didn't know. When Live and reloaded was first anounced it was being called Live and UNCUT, but was changed because Microsoft was worried about what would happen if kids played it because of the cute squirrel. I'm not sure if you knew that, so I thought I'd share.
ther2view What is it with Microsoft and Sony thinking THEY'RE suddenly the kiddy company? This, then Sony barring cross network multiplayer in Rocket League "for the kids."
Tiger Festivals I don't remember off the top of my head where I first heard about it, but that was the name they anounced it as. If you do a quick youtube search you can find the old announcement trailer.
Great review, dude. You really nailed all the aspects of the game and held nothing back while still being completely fair. I will admit, while Bad Fur Day is one of my favourite games, I'd be lying if I said that the gameplay was what kept me coming back time after time (pretty much everything but the gameplay), and it's more of an experience that has its best impact when you first play it. If there ever were a sequel, I'd like it to have a bigger emphasis on platforming while still having that crass sense of humor.
The title Live & Reloaded has two references: Live - Xbox LIVE - Reloaded - Remake. To ignore the LIVE part is a huge oversight when reviewing the remake. Not only that, but in my opinion, the Xbox's multiplayer wasn't as good as the original's. I'd play Beach, Raptor, and War for hours with my friend, and when "taking a break" from multiplayer, we'd go back and play a chapter in the main game, such as the bat mini-game, raptor mini-game, or Great Mighty Poo boss fight, or watch some of the cutscenes. When another friend brought his Xbox over, we played the remake's war multiplayer game maybe 3-4 times and didn't enjoy it at all. It was awkward and - of course - no one else was playing, because who the hell plays Conker when they could be playing the other generic online shooting games everyone else is playing? And when playing the main storyline, the updated graphics just looked horrible (just my opinion). Why take something bright and cartoony and make it realistic? It just looked weird, like everything was covered in a layer of slime or something. Also, Conker looked horrible. He's FURRY, not fluffy. Squirrels don't look like that - they're not hamsters. And why the shorts? Blah...
I fucking came my pants when you went over that capture hardware, well done dude. Thank you for capturing reference-quality archival footage and putting it to good use.
I've read that these things can happen when playing Live & Reloaded on Xbox 360. Did they ever happen to anyone here? Intro movies may skip and stutter. Console may freeze and/or reset by itself. Sound sometimes cuts in and out. When saving the game in an area, loading the save file can freeze the console.
Caden Does Gaming Except for Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex, Drake of the 99 Dragons, Family Guy Video Game!, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Hot Wheels: Stunk Track Challenge, Hulk, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, Micro Machines, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Rayman Arena, Shrek 2, Shrek Super Party, The Simpsons: Hit Run, X-Men Legends and X2: Wolverine's Revenge.
I only have one big beef with the remake, and it's that the character models are so... bluh. I dunno. They just seem off to me. The added detail in texturing and fur and all that somehow made them age worse imo. Like it's harder to gauge Conker's expressions when his face is a koosh ball. Redone animations would have probably helped a lot.
I didn't mind the bleeping in the Xbox version. My big issue with the remake was that it dropped all the multiplayer modes. My brother and I played Conker's Multiplayer for hours back in the day. It was one our most played multiplayer games along with Perfect Dark, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart. CBFD had so many multiplayer modes that they just dropped. Heist, Colors, Tank, and Beach were all game modes that we loved and I was really disappointed that they dumped them.
Unlike a lot of games, Conker's BFD actually feels like *art*. Legit art, of the kind many fight to have games recognised the same way movies are. It feels like someone's vision, where someone has something to say. The parodies, the humor, the design and the utter difference to anything else around the time is just spot on. It deserves to be lauded as much as games like The Last of Us (for example) as a piece of art, IMO. And it's fucking hilarious, too.

One of the reasons people were upset with the censoring is because during the remakes development the original plan was to release the game completely uncensored. For those that were anticipating the remake Rare had teased there was some disappointment to deal with upon release. The original subtitle was even Conker: Live & Uncut before they changed it to Live & Reloaded
thats the most pathetic and biased excuse ever.

The N64 version's multiplayer is "just there"?
WHAT???
Conker N64 multiplayer is the most diverse and very much fun to play, I put atleast a thousand hours in the multiplayer alone.
Best part of the game
Wow, it’s almost like people have DIFFERENT OPINIONS!!! Holy shit!
The N64 multiplayer took up my high school weekends 😄
Bouncing between Banjo Tooie, Goldeneye, Bomberman 64, Mario Kart, Pokemon Stadium, and Conker with my friends was so beautiful
Big same. Some of my favorite memories.

Gotta be honest, L&R looks amazing for the original Xbox, probably the best looking 6th gen game I've ever seen next to F-Zero GX
the only censorship part that somewhat ruins anything is the beloved Great Mighty Poo song, and I have to agree on that part. but people say it's uncensored after first playthrough unlocked. other than that, I played the remake first since the original wasnt released in germany, while it was on XBox and I just got the X360 one year later, when I also got that game :D for like 10€ !
Uncensored after the first playthrough? I've never heard this!
Donovan H. The fact that the multiplayer is uncensored proves that the single players wasn’t censored for any “PC” reasons. It was done as a joke.

@@samusaran7317eh… the last leap was PS3 to PS4 era… although late PS3/360 looked amazing tbh
I don't like that the overall aesthetic of the remake is obviously mature and edgy. Conker 64 looked like Banjo. You could trick your mom into buying it for you. The remake plays great, but I miss that bit of charm.
Jake Tomlinson
Ok, stop replying to people that say they prefer it due to charm.
@Jake Tomlinson if you're older than 14 and typed this and your other comments out unironically, you need fucking help.
Yeah, I prefer the more vividly colourful graphics of the N64 original as well.
Apart from the cover how is the “obviously mature and edgy” when it’s just an hd version of the original?
@@unoriginallastname9363 Theres more darker shadows. They tried making Conker look less like a cartoon and more like some pseudo realistic character.
It tries to look so upto date that it looks outdated. The extra fuzzy furball looks TERRIBLE. And so many characters have this issue.
It just doesnt look like a cartoon anymore. It looks closer to Maximo
Lava racing and "it's war" are the most rage inducing parts imo. The hit detection was complete bullshit on the lava racing and the laser mines on "it's war" were impossible to avoid.
That’s because you’re not supposed to avoid them. You must hide behind Rodent to negate the explosion damage. The game should’ve explained that better
@@brancolt_ I don't think you and him are talking about the same lasers
Yep lol
There was a game before wich used both analog stick before that. Ape escape
@@papytromblon I'm more specifically talking about dual analog controls for first/third person shooter games

The combat controls were unresponsive and sections of the game were made easier.
The genral gets him naked just to play dress up
(may be a late comment) but yeah the remake certainly made it look better but i still think it's annoying at some parts
Fuck censorship it's next to dictator ship
Or an option to censor before starting the game?

@@antman1001000 wait, people don’t like that game? I remember people loving it, including me.
Haedox know one cares
For years i called it the xbox 360 remake cause i just assumed when i saw it that's what it was playing on. So crisp and beautiful
I bet they did that because "online interactions are not rated by ESRB"
51:47 heck in 2018 they added live and reloaded to the xbox one backwards compatibility program and the digital version is $10, so it's even more accessible now
Microsoft made conker look great on the original xbox. When Microsoft invent the hololens, they made conker look weird.
MAH FREEZE PEACH
MultiTarded fuck anyone who complains about censorship. You seem like a triggered conservative snowflake.
Rountree1985 Fuck anyone that supports censorship. You're the snowflakes for wanting everything to be sanitised and safe.
MrQuadro83 you are so mean to me... :,(
I preferred the N64 original mostly because I will always take couch multiplayer over online one, still, I always felt Conker was a more fun game to watch than to play, so in these youtube days its better to look for a lets play.
I thought about saying this myself, because you're kind of right. I thought people would hate me even more, so I held off.
You gotta talk about all of the game Exo, its your job as a reviewer, and the multiplayer is significant even if it is a mostly single player game
Yeah I always thought conker been a movie type of game to be honest.
what i didn't like in the remake outside the censorship:
conker eyes no more look around and look a lot more dead.
some of the scene that use original sound has been changed (in the bank for example ) ,animation and effect can be strange and...that is it.
i kinda prefer the n64 one but it was hard to finish it,in the other hand i finished and enjoyed it a lot more on my xbox (360)
and it was really fun,but the cd of the game is really hard to run on my 360 but the n64 game still work.
just for this game i would love a xbox emulator (and maybe panzer dragoon orta)
Live and Reloaded had split screen dude, I have no idea don't what you guys are on about.
Stuff like that stops being funny after you reach the age of 16
But the bleeping for some reason always gets a chuckle out of me. I can't really explain why, but it does to me
I dunno why but South Park was funny when bleeping too.
By the way, I do discuss the Rare Replay version later on in the video. Not too much to say about it, but I figured people would be asking about it.
Why don't you just pin this
Pin it, please
Pretty reasonable assessment overall. At the time, the Xbox one disappointed me as I kind of expected more/better though in retrospect, it's a pretty comprehensive remaster (especially considering what constitutes a definitive remaster these days). Obviously the graphics and controls are better in the remake however I still prefer the original. I just think the cruder, cartoon look of the original offers more humor for the OTT slapstick going on. I find the controls meh on both (worse on N64) but I can power through it in either version. I also prefer the audio in the original (especially the mad pitchfork battle).
ExoParadigmGamer As someone who considers Pac Man World a good game, I am curious to see your opinion on it.
I thought most people preferred the original for the multiplayer. But bleeps? Really?
Zeno Salazar yes, it was dope, it had Chapter X like an extra story explaining things before amd after the story of the singleplayer campaign of conker, and it was totally offline ofcourse, it was something like battlefront 2( the original) capture objectives, defend positions, capture the flag, you had classes of squirrels /teddiz (sniper, Demolisher, sneeker, the flamethrower, grunt and skyjockey) and yeah thats why conker live and reloaded is way better than BFD N64 and just because it has some words censored and you have the nostalgia googles doesn't mean its a bad game
@@blakbear6528 in your opinion its better than bad Fur day, but doesn't mean it's true
Madara Uchiha In your opinion Bad Fur Day is better than Live and Reloaded, but that doesn't mean it's true
@@NNiffy I never said bad fur day is better, don't try to put words in my mouth
@@conversationtosaurusrex The quality of a game is subjective to the user.
Yeah, the game part of the game is definitely lacking
It's weird because they used the updated version of Perfect Dark.
iownu92 you should play both
Play both or the rare replay version
@@cd2220 I'm glad at least the n64 version is in the rare replay. I prefer it over the l&r version both for level design and graphics. Fences on edges? Did osha have fit with the first game? And the goblins (I forget what they were called) are over used. And the fur is awful. What were they thinking? I'll admit the controls are a bit clunky but they're still easy to pick right up again even after all these years though that might be because I seem to be more highly adaptive as a gamer compared to others. I just got rare replay last night so I'm a quarter of the way through so far. I'll try to remember to give an update when I finish
Amazing episode as always
Why am I the first like and the first comment?
Project 64's editing of the controls is how I played the original. It actually worked really well on a Duelshock 3
It's a shame Rareware didn't upgrade the controls as it DOES work beautifully as I felt with the emulated controls. It's a missed opportunity
Here's an ROR idea:
Rayman 2 (Dreamcast, though really any original version minus PS and GBC will do) vs. Rayman Revolution (PS2)
Rayman 3 vs. Rayman 3 HD
R3HD was quite a lazy port. So many fuck ups.
ThePreciseClimber What happened?
Since he wants to use his nodded N64 so much, probably that one.
ThePreciseClimber I didn’t have any problems with it
Megachamp That would be great
As someone who always heard about how good Conker’s Bad Fur Day was, I bought Live and Reloaded and enjoyed it immensely. I didn’t even really notice the censorship.
You're smart and open minded
You never played the original and best is why lol dont talk unless you know and you dont know
@@Nemissis4265 it really isn't that big of a deal. I played BFD first and live and reloaded is better in almost every way when it comes to gameplay, which is imo a bigger deal then censorship. I still like BFD's aesthetic more however.
Alien Resurrection for PSX was one of the first games to use the dual analog (modern) control scheme
I wished you went into more detail in multiplayer since thats what causes the biggest divide
exactly. the live and reloaded multiplayer is VASTLY inferior to the N64 multiplayer. that alone makes the n64 version worth playing over the xbox remake in some respects.
Stephen Weir It makes sense why he didn't talk about the multiplayer much, most people buy both games for the single player experience and some people don't have friends to play it with
No one gives a fuck about a shitty multiplayer mode from a 3D platforming game.
Rountree1985 Don't play it then troll
Stephen Weir Who the fuck is going to play multiplayer from a platformer game from 2001?? Even then, who the fuck is gonna tolerate the inverted controls/shit controller scheme? Unless you’re into playing with bots, single player is vastly more important.
Goldeneye actually has dual-analog aiming, way back in 1997. It just requires you to use 2 controllers, but it is there in the options menu.
StupidMarioBros1Fan You can play it on your 360.
You missed out on a lot if you didnt own an og xbox...
StupidMarioBros1Fan you can also get it one the Xbox One store
Yeet
xXLegacy not rlly to be honest
honestly the remake deserves a replace for the shooting controls alone.
My friend told me once that when he first saw this game, he thought it was an Xbox one game...
It looks *THAT* good!
I wouldn't say Xbox ONE, but it could easily pass for a 360 title. Even now, the game looks absolutely amazing.
Yeah, I would say that's a problem of your friend.
Early 360 quality at best. Still impressive.
It’s too hazy
Nah, If I would see Live and Reloaded for the first time, I would think it would be like all the other people are saying in this reply section a early Xbox 360 game. The game isn't so detailed that it could pass as a Xbox One title. But, If I were actually to think that it was a One title, then I would think it would be a prototype or Beta...

The duel analog aiming scheme actually existed before the 6th generation of consoles.
I prefer Live and Reloaded. After playing it I can't go back to the original. All the gameplay changes just make it better.
When I played it when I was younger and before knowing what each area is, I LOVED the background art and trying to guess what each area is
you should ROR on Metroid Other M. Personally I think that The original, Metroid Fusion, is better.
LOL Nice one.
Kongu_ Inika Damn, now thats a roast you need a Varia Suit to survive. ...If it's authorized.
Thank you! Over the last decade I have found myself laughing at *bleeps* much more than I have the actual cuss words. The 21st century has actually found a way to make cussing played out.
Bleeps in a video game is automatic funny 😂
Cussing is great for exploring why something is censored. I've found it's not what gets censored at all. So, fuckin have at it!
Live & Reloaded's multiplayer was huge.
It was a big part of my childhood at this point.
This and Halo 2 were my biggest Xbox Live memories.
i am SO EXCITED for the pac man world ROR
ahbeef Nice to see you here too.
+ahbeef. yeah.
ahbeef but that game doesnt have a remake
The GBA game?
ExoParadigmGamer shoudnt a remake be something done with a more powerful console? That game is more like a demake!
FreakinSweet1987 I own the Xbox and play L&R, but I mostly play for the multiplayer.
Thank you....the amount of people that always tell me that the original is better without even playing the xbox one....thank you xD
Jake Tomlinson Jesus Christ, what is your problem with autism? I’m autistic and I’m just as flabbergasted as you are about how people think the original is better but I’m not going around pointing fingers.
Jake Tomlinson So , I've bought each release of this game, and imo the N64 version is still more fun.
Oh boy if youre not just the biggest xbox fanboy in this section. From a technical standpoint, the Xbox version is better, but from a subjective point, the N64 version is better. Welcome to the internet, where people have opinions.
Jake Tomlinson why can't you just accept people's opinions?
Sticky Studios He just needs to defend his precious piece of plastic and assert his (imaginary) dominance overall because fuck opinions right?
Thank you for making this... I randomly just became very interested in Conker and this is exactly what I was looking for.
As great as N64 nostalgia is, it sounds like the remake is the way to go... too bad it doesn't have achievements.
No the retard has no idea what hes talking about. The 64 is THE only way to go lol you loosse about 40% of the game when playing that shit r tard and reloaded
I'm not sure how hard it'd be to capture PSP footage but Mega Man vs. Mega Man Powered Up would be cool. Great videos, by the way.
ethan PPSSPP.
"No more 50 minute reviews" Uh huh
What can I say? I die hard.
Other than the censorship, Live and Reloaded is an unbelievably high quality remake. How lucky we are such an obscure game got this treatment. Bonus, I run it in 4K on my Xbox One X.
Wow... You make some pretty good points that make sense. I'll admit it I do like Live & Reloaded more than the original. Thanks for this review!
No you d ride and cant think for yourself lol. The orginal is 10x better and the price shows it 😂🤣🤣😂🤣. Still worth 70$ shit and reloaded 5$ on xbox market store
the multiplayer on the N64 was the best part of this game. me and my friends played it so much
Fun fact: Conker's design in Live and Reloaded is from the concept art of Conker's Other Bad Day, the cancelled sequel.
AParts/heart-of-a-dragoness tell that to SJWs...
Would rather set up my 64 and play in 720
Wow, I asked for this two years ago, damn this feels beautiful.
9:19
I never understood that. Can anybody explain what Conker means there?
tarabaci I'm pretty sure it's a joke about how events trigger in video games after you walk or cross over a certain point in the game :0
tarabaci I always took it as a joke of the Hero's Journey type of story.
Because in scary movies or games with a boss the door always closes behind them
Since Count Batula is his ancestor, it hints Conker might be at least part vampire
Crash Bandicoot ROR?
Yeah why not?
Yeah, but I be surprised.
Crash 1 - Remake
Crash 2 - Re-meh
Crash 3 - Rebreak
Miles Away please no. Crash is shit
IsaacMan415
Crash 2 maybe, but Crash 3 feels a bit inferior to the original.
My only problem with the censorship is the big mighty poo. That song is ruined by all the bleeps. The rest doesn't matter that much
While I don't mind the content's restrictions, I appreciate the disclaimer.
Jake Tomlinson You really are an ironic person aren't you? And nice way to discredit yourself from the start
Jake Tomlinson "I can't handle opinions, so I need to call others autistic to prove to myself that I'm right"
Agree with you Jake but you don't have to insult everyone and be rude just to get your point across.
Jake Tomlinson your such an Xbox fanboy who can't understand what an opinion is... Jesus your more cringy and pathetic than them just because you're bashing on everyone you dislike. and how old are you 10? using a death threat is just low
@Jake Tomlinson
Wow.
Telling someone to kill themselves?
You're edgy and cool.
What an excellent thorough review and comparison of these games. Thank you!!
You mean Pheonix King's rant of Conker's Bad Fur Day? Ya know to be fair, he did bring up some good points against that game.
D r e a m D a y z aka Royal i was thinking of doing that if it werent for the ridiculous inflated prices
Josh Armstrong If you get the XBOX remake, I recommend Xlink Kai for online play.
Great video! Thanks for mentioning the great improvement off the Reloadeds controls. I haven't played the N64 version but the controls on the Replay Retro version was horrible. I finished the game on Xbox and didn´t have any problem wirh the censorship, the jokes were great anyway.
Ok, rewatching the scenes I definitely laughed more when the dialogue was censored...
This, then Sony barring cross network multiplayer in Rocket League "for the kids."
ther2view Is this speculation or do you have a source?
Tiger Festivals I don't remember off the top of my head where I first heard about it, but that was the name they anounced it as. If you do a quick youtube search you can find the old announcement trailer.
Yeah I think that was the biggest part of the backlash of the game being more censored. They originally marketed the game as being less censored.
+ther2view Huh. I didn't know that. Thanks.
"all aspects" he completely shoved aside the multiplayer.. the main reason everyone i knew even played the N64 version for
BootyDaddy but it’s multiplayer it’s not the main focus so treating it like it is makes you look like a person who only plays cod
Blah...
Nice ROR Exo! Excellent work!
5 years later and still an iconic video
I fucking came my pants when you went over that capture hardware, well done dude. Thank you for capturing reference-quality archival footage and putting it to good use.
I've read that these things can happen when playing Live & Reloaded on Xbox 360. Did they ever happen to anyone here?
Intro movies may skip and stutter.
Console may freeze and/or reset by itself.
Sound sometimes cuts in and out.
When saving the game in an area, loading the save file can freeze the console.
GameStation3 I hope Conker Live and Reloaded will be playable on the Backwards Compatibility for Xbox One.
Nobody answered me. Have any of those glitches happened to any of you?
You're thinking of pokemon X & Y
GameStation3 I don't have it, I only have Conker's Bad Fur Day on Rare Replay for Xbox One.
The multiplayer is fantastic. Top tier stuff. Even playing by yourself
