Hey what about dreamcast sir
Your going to have to wait for TechToyTinker's SlashTV (Android build) for any reliable GameCube Emulation. The Chipset is clocked to 1.42ghz. Steve needs the source code to clock the CPU to 2ghz. Only Light GameCube Emulation will most likely be possible on this Handheld.
I’m getting one for sure. Love my other Anbernic consoles.
I'm going to wait for the Development Community to get hold of this device first.
Wait the Ayn odin
Saturn, Dreamcast and N64 is what I want!
Waiting for the day that handhelds are able to run 60fps all GameCube, Wii, ps2, and such. These current handhelds are not using powerful enough chips sadly.
Everyone is so impatient. Just wait a few Months. There will be some CFW and new Android Versions like LineageOS and some Emulators will run better. Just give it a bit time...
Thank you for covering Eternal Darkness. That's the one Gamecube game I'm interested in playing on one of these handhelds
It plays great on the Powkiddy X18S.
If Ambernic made this so it play all 6th gen consoles properly i would pay $350 for it no problem.
Agreed so long as it worked straight out the box no tweaking or downloading new OS to be installed etc. If Arcade version of "Hydro Thunder" was installed running 100% I would pay!
That's going to take a while SBC's haven't reached double the power of 6th gen consoles yet.
We are getting there slowly my friends be patient
Super slow lol
Black Seraph said he will get a RG552 soon and do a Build for LineageOS for it!
There are two major stages of life. Before you play Dragon Force and after you play Dragon Force
It's still a super fun game! It really needs a port, for people that didn't have a Saturn, or don't do emulation.
Ive got the bittboy pocketgo 2.0 Not going to buy another handheld until these things get better chipsets and screens.
I do like it but I'll be waiting and hoping they put out a metal shell version (RG552M). Preferably in silver. I think it will happen. Until then, I'll keep using the RG351MP. I already pre-ordered and paid for the AYN Odin Pro Super Pack. Hopefully it will ship by January. That would keep me pacified until the Steam Deck arrives. Great video BTW.
Same here I pre-ordered the Odin Pro! I'm thinking of pre-ordering the Odin Lite too.☺️
You don’t want metal buddy, when I unboxed mine I really thought it was metal. It’s already heavier than my other metal devices.
Hi everyone! I also have a video showing the PSP RPG I liked the most on my YT channel! you can visit my page (Vlad Segundo) by clicking on my link
Thanks so much for trying Tomb Raider Anniversary on psp...It runs terrible on the RK3326 devices. On the RG552, its so much better. But I guess not good enough? 22fps is pretty low but still such an improvement lol
This device can play Tomb Raider Anniversary. The problem is the CPU is clocked to 1.42ghz Steve from TechToyTinker is working on clocking the CPU to 2ghz. He just needs the source code from Anbernic.
maybe when they drop a 4:3 screen version of this chipset.
yes
That would definitely work.
I bought this handheld yesterday for the Sega Saturn performance. I wasn't expecting GameCube to run as well as in the tests here. I think I'll be playing Animal crossing on it myself. ☺️
Dragon Force is one of my favorite Saturn games!! I still play it from time to time. Definitely recommend it!
"If I'm not I don't care"
The balls on this man.
Where’s your analogue pocket review?
Does using the HDMI cable take a big hit on the fps of these harder to emulate games?
The Retroid Pocket 2+ has a more powerful chip despite being much cheaper. It seems the way to go until the Odin, next Anbernic, or Retroid Pocket 3.
Yeah, for real. It's controls/pad are apparently kinda ass though, but I mean someone will probably make better buttons or something for it anyways for like $5. It's way more powerful for like 1/3 the price.
RP2+ is only slightly more powerful than the RG552. The RP2+ can only give you Light GameCube Emulation at best. Right now the Powkiddy X18S is the only handheld worth the money. The Smartest option is to wait for next year's Handhelds. The RP2+ is a waste of money.
@@sociallyresponsiblexenomor7608 Taki Udon pushed Retroid to fix the molds on their buttons before shipping. Retroid delayed shipping slightly but made the right choice. Better than original RP2 controls but a ways off to achieving Saturn level of perfection.
@@Pridetoons 🤡
@@Pridetoons i mean "slightly more powerful" for less than half the price is still pretty good
Sigh, still looking for a good emulation machine to play ps2/GC well. Going to just have to wait for the Steam Deck.
Got a phone with Snapdragon 860 a few days ago. I didn't even want to contemplate trying Rogue squadron, but in general, GameCube and PS2 emulation is excellent, including God of war. Combined with a gamepad, it could be your solution - but it is a phone, not a dedicated emulation machine.
Odin Lite seems to fit the bill if you can actually get one.
Sorry Anbernic, the AYN Odin is going to be my next handheld, not the RG552.. should have stacked your shoulder buttons..
If you can only buy one handheld buy the Odin. I already pre-ordered a Odin Pro with the Dock. I'm considering on pre-ordering the Odin Lite next.
@@Pridetoons Now it's just down to the lite or pro.. how much cpu power difference do you think separates them? I did want to play more higher end games on it..
@@barowt The Odin Pro has a Windows 11 build for it, but the Odin Lite has the Dimensity 900 chipset in it which gives you more single core performance.
Recently, I heard about this new android PS2 emulator, AetherSX2, that seems like it has much improved performance over older emulators. Have you tried that on any of these modern handhelds, and could you compare framerates between some games to give us an idea of if this is worthwhile?
The RG552 uses like android 6, so it can't run the newer PS2 emulator. Would need a device with a newer android OS like the RP2+ to run that.
@@sociallyresponsiblexenomor7608 thought it was Android 7?
Thanks for testing out animal crossing, dude! 😁

Please can you do a short video on citra 3ds emulator please? I saw Taki running a bit of Ocarina of time and don't expect it to work well, but no one has shared any other footage and I'm just curious
Awesome review Ron!
Please someone tell me does is have zelda twilight princess in the gamecube?!
Love the design but its too pricey for what it can do
I'll stick with my 351 by the looks of this. I wanna be able to play No Mercy on N64 on the go at stable 30fps ideally, nothing can achieve that impossible feat so far! lil
Rp2+ could do it.
@@sociallyresponsiblexenomor7608 So can the RG552 with Android. 🙄
The Emulation Station side of the RG552 is terrible compared to the Android side of the device.
@@Pridetoons And it does it all at just a mere two and a half times the price. Very impressive.
@@MrCumstein Not really because the RP2+ is made from recycled Retroid Pocket 2 units. You can't be this stupid. On top of that the RG552 is a 16:9 handheld with a touchscreen. Were does the comparison start, Chipsets!? Bruh, if you look at Geekbench CPU scores the Unisoc T310 doesn't score that much higher than the RK3399. On top of that the RK3399 gives me Dual boot options can the Unisoc T310 do that, no.
i can’t launch Killer Insimct arcade, please help mw
What dolphin version was used for GameCube testing?
Thanks for the info. I was considering getting it but now seeing how it handles PSP games. I think I will stay with my laptop for now. Or till I can find a replacement battery for my PSP.
Symphony of the Night SATURN version????
I'm waiting for an RG552V.
For the price.. Nice trying Anbernic, maybe next time.
Cool device but too pricey for me
Thank you. Now I know, I won't buy it. The only thing I want is run GameCube games.
Still waiting for CFW to get the best out of this device
the system come with sega saturn games in factory...the system come 4.200 games but the company no say what games
for that price, it's sad it can't play PSP good.
Two major problems
1) Android build is the best build for the RG552 in terms of performance.
2) The Chipset is clocked to 1.42ghz instead of 2ghz.
The RG552 can most definitely do great PSP Emulation, it's just that Anbernic is HORRIBLE at developing Software.
@@Pridetoons do u think there will be a custom firmware for this?
@@juneldi.music_west 100 %
If you want to play PSP, you maybe better a cheap PSP & hack it to play games off the memory card, or get a cheap ps vita & do the same thing as above
I have a hacked ps vita , to play vita/ PSP games & installed retroarch, to play some arcade games, that mostly play fine
@@tafsir5780 see your name, i just go with bahasa Indonesia.
Gw punya PS Vita, main PSP rada kurang enak di situ bro. Bukan masalah gameplay, tapi masalah resolusi layar.
Could you see if Metroid prime plays good on it
The RK3399 most definitely can not play Metroid Prime or any harder to emulate GameCube games. The RG552 at best can do both Light GameCube Emulation and Light PC Gaming.
Does this have Bluetooth?
No
how well does f-zero gx run on this?
Not well
@@Madlittlepixel I guess gamecube isn't really ready for these handhelds yet.
@@-crazycat The only thing you'll get is Light GameCube Emulation but that's it. TechToyTinker is working on a much better Android build for this device already. He's also working on Retro Arena for this device too.
@@Pridetoons who is TechToyTinker
No Sega Rally or Blue Storm…
You said it WRONGGgGG
What about ps1 games?
No issues, tons of devices play ps1 well, not much a feat for this device. Handles it well
if PS1 games are your thing, you should just buy RG350M .... it's way more cheap but with looks really great.
@@juneldi.music_west Nah the the RG350 and any other GCW Zero clone is Trash compared to RK3326 device like the RG351 series or RGB10. GCW Zero can't play every SNES and PS1 game you throw at it.
@@Pridetoons seriously? i dunno about it. i only own RG350 original and it can play any PS1 games i threw in it. But 640x480 on RG360M display is always make me want it in RG350.
@@juneldi.music_west They still have a very limited chipset compared to the RK3326.
