These are the 3 games that I really want to try. Preferably plug and play as my laptop is crap. Would this be a good candidate? Sounds like the closest one you've reviewed.
I'm one of those KI people. Thanks for testing them. I've got a Retroid Pocket 2 + coming but I'm gonna wait a good while to get something else more expensive. At this price I'd want it to run those games almost perfectly at least.
Definitely interested in more GC stuff. I bought like 15 games with the system from EB back in the day on super sale when it was on the way out and never really got explore more of the library.
You could probably do a single video just testing Gamecube on this device: F-Zero Gx, Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness, Mario Sunshine, Rouge Squadron 2, Star Fox Assault. Also I would like to see How Panzer Dragoon for the Saturn runs.
Ehhh, Rogue Squadron 2 isn't happening. The RP2+ is a lot more powerful than this is and even it couldn't possibly run that. This also stutters and lags bad running games like Windwaker, but RP2+ can run that fine at least.... F zero should work fine though. Mario Sunshine is a maybe. Metroid prime is probably a no on Rg552, RP2+ might be able to run Metroid Prime but I am not 100% sure.

@@TexasHollowEarth Thanks for the info....it looked amazing on the handheld. The only thing that I wish they had a clicky analog stick for fighters like Neo Geo came out with back in the day.
@@akseawolf6941 - I could NEVER use an analog stick on a fighting game. Gotta have D-pad for precision on a handheld. NeoGeo were digital sticks, like any fightstick or arcade fighting game. I don't know any fighter that forces analog control..... Smash Bros isn't a fighting game; It's a party game.
@@TexasHollowEarth I've spent thousands of hours using Neo Geo AES controllers on the fighters on that platform as well as making my own fightstick for Xbox & PC to play fighters and it is far superior for me than trying to use a clunky dpad that tears up my fingers trying to pull off rapid clutch moves. I've also had a Neo Geo Pocket and that clicky analog stick was amazing as well but there was no real great fighters for that platform but the potential was there. Everyone is different and I respect that you prefer a dpad but for me a clicky analog stick is the way to go.
I ordered an RP2+ instead. I prefer it's much higher specs tbh. It has enough juice to run basically everything well up until gamecube/Ps2. It's also less than half the price of the RG552.
In terms of emulation, it's impressive for an android handheld. I just don't know if those back pads are supposed to be L2 and R2 inputs, and if they can register as analog. Because if they did, it would work so much better for a number of titles that need it, like a lot of Gamecube and Dreamcast games. Otherwise, the lack of analog triggers, or even just two additional shoulder buttons would really limit the amount of high end games you can play on this thing
