I will take Primetime, Bo, and Tyreek hill over everyone... Moss gets honorable Mention 4.25 at his pro day and 4.12/4.20 on various hand timers by scouts and coaches... They have Track speed where they maintain there speed or continue to accelerate throughout the entirety of 100yrds. Ross 100m is like 10.5... tyreek hill ran 10.1 in High school which is insane lol.
Imo, sometimes the coaches in the league don't know how to maximize talent. Dri Archer should have never been used as a running back in the NFL. A slot receiver at best, along with kick and punt return duties.
Yeah but sometime players can't make that transition. If he had been playing running back his whole life he might not have been able to switch to another position at the NFL level even if his skillset was better for another position. Obviously there's been success stories of players switching position by the time they reach the NFL, but more of then not it doesn't work out. Some players been playing the same position for 10-15 years and then have to try to learn a new position against the best players in the world
What I learned is 1. Being the fastest means you can still be a mediocre player. 2. Track shoes and starting blocks make a huge difference in time and they're not allowed to be used in NFL combines
40 yard dash times are one thing. But what y'all don't realize is Darrel had the equivalent of what is known in the air force as an "afterburner." When Darrel wanted to turn on the jets, he could turn on the jets. Them tootsies in his socks were basically 150 shots of Nitrous. Film proves this, as he almost magically just moves faster for short bursts.
yep he ran a 4.15 it may not have made the official time at the combine but when Minnesota worked him out that's what he ran he was the fastest player I ever saw run
The story goes that Deion Sanders didn't warm up or stretch. He showed up a the combine in a limousine, told the driver he would be right back, went is and did one 40 yard sprint, and kept going right back to the limousine without stopping. If that's really how it went down he might have easily clocked a better time had he prepared. Players usually don't run faster than they have to, but when he needed to pull away it was undeniable; Deion was in a league of his own.
Tbh dri was underrated by his own team. Which its sad that they didn't use him because he probably couldve been better than bell specially since how they just lost bell last year or the year before
Archer got a bad beat, the guy had skills, coaches know nothing, I mean look at Derrick Henrys first couple of seasons, my fantasy teams suffered and I could not believe they limited his carries considering his otherworldly talent.Dri Archer if used properly would've been a great Nyheim Hines change of pace type back, only faster.Great players lost their careers because of bad coaches and front office decisions. The Rams recently did this to John Kelly, a steal in the 6th round a couple years ago.

I made this video a while ago, but it’s easy to confirm everyone’s time in this video online except for rondel menedez, which took some digging to find
100 meters isn't the same as 40 yards. You know that right? They don't run 100 meters on a football field. Not the same unit of measure in determining speed. It's incomparable.
Combine times weren’t electronic until 2000, so unfortunately their times weren’t official. If I could guess though, probably in the 4.2s or at the very least in the 4.3s
Taylor Mays (USC) ran a 4.24 at the NFL combine. Deion Sanders called it. Then all of a sudden, the NFL magically added .2 to his time. Even Deion said there was something suspect about the NFL changing his time. That was the ONLY time they had an issue with the clock during the entire combine. ha ha ha
Tavon Austin was a beast but I feel he was never used correctly in the NFL. He is kind of like a Joker the way he was used in the return, running and receiving game.. But his talent level was far exceeding his actual production on the field.
Joey Galloway is an honorable mention so is probably the fastest player in NFL history Bob Hayes. Joey Galloway, Darrell Green, Bob Hayes & Chris Johnson all have one thing in common.. They are world class sprinters!!
@@geraldpierson2970 Ah yes they both ran track, but neither was world class. Galloway ran a reported 10.35 100m at that time the qualifying standard for the Olympics or World Championships was 10.20. CJ2K's best 100m was 10.66 no where near world class.
Everyone of these cats are fast. Some slow down when the pads go on. Tyreek Hill honestly looks faster In pads. I've never seen such speed on the football field and I've been a nfl fan for going on 40 years. That dude is without a doubt the scariest guy in the league with the ball in his hands.
@@sydboski agreed but he actually looks faster. Probably bc he is stout and not skinny. But 40 times are deceiving when they are ran in gym shorts. Look at john ross a flat out burner in shorts but doesnt carry it over to the field. Tyreek doesn't lose much when the pads go on which is why straight line speed he is almost without peer
If you watch some John Ross highlights, for example his two td day against the Seahawks, you can tell that he’s fast on the field too. The other aspects of his game are just nowhere near Hill
@@primetimeproductions8922 absolutely he is fast. But I'd bet a million bucks with pads on tyreek would smoke ross. Without pads probably completely different outcome

The fastest I've ever seen play since I been watching the NFL, was Darrel Green of the Redskins. I am Cowboys fan and it was never fun to see him chase down our WR's. That man was fast.
The fact is if you saw Trindon Holliday play then he's the fastest man you ever seen play in the NFL bc he is in fact the second fastest player ever with a 10.00 100 meter time. Darrel is in the top 10 with his 10.08. The difference is Green is a Hall of Fame player. He was the best I ever saw.
@@MJIZZEL either way i only used official times from the nfl combine. A lot of NFL players claim to have ran in the 4.2s outside of the combine anyways
@@primetimeproductions8922 Yea I understood why he wasn't on the video bro. Just pointing out that it's not a myth just because it wasn't "officially" or electronically clocked. I've actually seen it listed as the combine record before. Anyway....nice video dude keep it up. Good stuff!
Just FYI for future reference... it's not MEN-un-dez... it's Meh-NEN-dez. The injury and off-field events of his life were absolutely tragic and unfortunate. Odds are, he would have been the Falcons' primary returner and probably a 5th rotation WR used mostly in short-time, long yardage drive situations. That alone could have given him a nice career for several years (as long as he kept his speed), despite not being a good WR by any means. While he may have played well against a handful of weak division 2 defenses in 1996-1997 at Eastern Kentucky, he was not impressive at all against the likes of Troy, Western Kentucky, Appalachian State, Southeast Missouri, or the Div 2 playoff game against Western Kentucky in 1997 (half the games on the schedule). He was outright terrible against Kentucky, Appalachian State, and Murray State... the only worthwhile defenses he played his senior year. He basically had 750 receiving yards and 8 TDs against 3 teams in 1998 (Eastern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and UT-Martin), while barely showing up for the other 8 games (less than 300 yards receiving and only 3 TDs). This and the fact that he was an extremely small WR even back then (5'9, 180) are why he wasn't taken until the 7th round. Also, Menendez NEVER held the record for most receiving yards in a game for Eastern Kentucky. His big game against Eastern Illinois was the second most in school history. The actual record is 316 by Aaron Marsh against Northwood in 1967... 31 years earlier.

_You should consider posting a video of the five _*_slowest_*_ skill position players ever_ .
I didn't know who the fastest player of NFL combine history was.
Well now you do :)
Jared Schreckengast how did u not know about ross
Are u dumb
Hester ran a 4.4 on injured ankles. His game speed was clearly elite
🤣 I use to block for jerome Mathis we went to the same high school boy was fast great track star but attitude needed work overall glad he made it out our small town ✊
Fucking liar
On a much smaller scale, my story is like Jerome Mathis'. I ran JV track and the guys told me that I had caught the attention of the steelers. Then they became jealous and kept telling the coach that I was getting in their way during races. Coach said I was too Slow to be on the men's team. I asked" If the guys are complaining that I am in their way, doesn't that mean that I am clearly ahead of them? " I put ended up that my only attachment to high school sports was doing laundry for the football team. I had a choice. Do the laundry or get beat up by girls. I have scars to this day. Deep mental scars
Listen I personally never thought the 40 yard dash was the best barometer of how truly fast a player is if a field is 100 yards shouldn't the barometer be 100 yards but atleast 60 yards the fastest players to me was 1 bob hayes 2 Darrell green,3 bo jackson,4 herschel walker,Dion Sanders also other guys that were fast that were very fast but not well known frank lewis Steelers james Jett raiders chis Sanders Oilers, cliff branch raiders, curtis dickey colts
Jim Hines, Trindon Holliday, Jeef Demps, and Jacoby Ford all ran faster than all the guys you mentioned.
Yeah but the Fast 100yd guys can't catch the 40yd guys till after 40yds. 95% of plays made are completed within that
100yd times only make a difference on Long Plays that only happen once or twice a game outside of Special Teams
Remember why the 40 yd dash was implemented, there's actually a reason for that.
Good video!! Cj2k was a burner in the 40 but his 100m is average. The problem with the 40 is more of an accurate measure of acceleration and Burst. As Said by olympic track medalist.
Glad you enjoyed the video, really appreciate the support. Yeah I agree tyreek is faster than cj2k, but that speed is still crazy for a running back
Really a shame that these guys didn’t run official times tho, I’m really curious what they would’ve got
Some players been playing the same position for 10-15 years and then have to try to learn a new position against the best players in the world
@@stevenl6283 he most likely couldn't find the ball at the top of a route.
What I learned is 1. Being the fastest means you can still be a mediocre player. 2. Track shoes and starting blocks make a huge difference in time and they're not allowed to be used in NFL combines
7:47 - Rondel Me-nen-dez..ran a 4:19.
Chair Force doesn't run. Join the Army or Marines...
I hope to do the same thing and have the success like you do
Nice
Watched Ross at Washington, he was awesome.
The only time I can finish in 4.24 is when I'm yanking it to Jennifer Lawrence.
Disgusting ... and funny.
Don’t you mean Trevor Lawrence
@@kevinellis5075 lol i see what you did there
I didn't see Bob Hayes #22 Dallas Cowboys WR on the list.
He was the fastest man on Earth for a time. 🏈 👍
What is Hayes' laser timed 40 time?
Denny Green stated about Randy Moss "that's what a 4.15 looks like"... Look it up. NOBODY was as fast as Moss in pads!
yep he ran a 4.15 it may not have made the official time at the combine but when Minnesota worked him out that's what he ran
he was the fastest player I ever saw run
@@shanesims7795 BS. Moss never ran 4.15 in his life. The 4.25 at the proday is suspect too because it was hand timed.
Unfortunately Sanders' 40 was hand timed.
Tbh dri was underrated by his own team. Which its sad that they didn't use him because he probably couldve been better than bell specially since how they just lost bell last year or the year before
i dont think he would've been better than bell, but definitely serviceable
@@primetimeproductions8922 well not better most likely but faster. I think 🤔
Yeah definitely faster haha
Who was the Raider that caught him at 3:30?
Stanford Routt - he ran a 4.27
Stan the man Routt
It was Rod Woodson I believe!!!!
Agreed
Menendez was blessed with an awesome talent for renting cars to folks though. There is always a plan for all of us.

I made this video a while ago, but it’s easy to confirm everyone’s time in this video online except for rondel menedez, which took some digging to find
The 40 should never be a determining factor for speed. It should always be the 100
Not for football speed. A game of burst, not top end speed.
@@CertifiedPG it's all about balance
100 meters isn't the same as 40 yards. You know that right? They don't run 100 meters on a football field. Not the same unit of measure in determining speed. It's incomparable.

What did Darrell Green Deion Sanders and Randy Moss run at the combine somebody?
Combine times weren’t electronic until 2000, so unfortunately their times weren’t official. If I could guess though, probably in the 4.2s or at the very least in the 4.3s
Randy Moss was noted to have ran a 4.25, but it wasn’t official, which is why I didn’t include him in my video
Joe Me I think he answered that question already.
3:26 that Raider ran dude down quick. How is he not on this list?

Taylor Mays (USC) ran a 4.24 at the NFL combine. Deion Sanders called it. Then all of a sudden, the NFL magically added .2 to his time. Even Deion said there was something suspect about the NFL changing his time. That was the ONLY time they had an issue with the clock during the entire combine. ha ha ha

PrimeTime Productions no he got 4.25 his first sprint
His official time is 4.34 though, which is what I base this video off of
Tavon Austin was a beast but I feel he was never used correctly in the NFL.

None of those guys except cj2k ran an official time, otherwise I have no doubt they’d be featured in this video

Yup, he has a chance to take it to the house everytime he touches the ball
Looks are decieving. No one can run faster wearing 12-15 lbs of extra weight (ie. NFL equipment.

Sounds like the legend of Bo Jackson has him under 4 seconds at one time in the 40.

It wasn’t an official time... I wish I could’ve included him
Just FYI for future reference... it's not MEN-un-dez... it's Meh-NEN-dez.
