Trick plays generally have a much lower rate of success in the NFL because NFL defenses are more experienced and disciplined. In lower levels, everyone is less experienced, but the offense has practiced that trick play and knows what to do.
man!! these plays made me smile. when i see this level of innovation and out of the box thinking, it makes me believe these men and their coaches trust each other and know how to have fun playing the game. i'd love to see a few of these from time to time out of my team. thanks for sharing these!
2:52 - was #1 to me in all the trick plays in this video. BTW, NEBRASKA was always screwed by the BIASED FLORIDA Schools who had home field advantage. NEBRASKA would have won 10+ National Championships.
The 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl really was one of the best college football games in history. Nobody even gave Boise a chance against Adrian Peterson and the Sooners but thanks to the trickery by Chris Peterson, Cinderella's team took down the giant
Half their blockers are turned around. All it takes is one guy running full tilt into that mob and someones got a torn acl. Not only that but all it takes is a good callout from the defense and their fucked.
The play itself is overated. Most of these other plays in the video were more impressive and there were plenty of other normal moments in college football that were even better. Boise State just happened to be huge underdogs that won a great game. I would rate the entire game more impressive on a top 10 list more than the play.
Just bought a nice set of headphones. Had them 4 days now. Your outtro music is the first real proof that I didn't waste my money. I think that bass tone grew hair on my chest! Wow!
Gosh, that era from 2005-2010... I never ever missed a single game and NEVER got sick of hearing the announcers scream "Touchdown Pittsburgh!" I was blessed to live that era during my 20s and actually get to go to some of those games in person... and of course rage out like a rock star at two amazing super-bowl parties. Those years 2005 - 2010 were a great time to be in Pittsburgh. Steelers take Lombardi's in 05 and 08 and then as soon as the Steelers started to lose steam in 2009, BAM! Sid Crosby and Evgeni Malkin were just coming into their own and snag a Stanley Cup win. Glorious times.
I like how sometimes it doesn't make any difference it was a trick it was just well executed play like Big Ben's TD against Dallas, CB was still playing just a great throw and catch
ahhh yes, i have fond memories of my dad teaching me as a young child to play dead, oh we had so much fun, he would get drunk, point his .45 at me, pull the trigger and go BANG! and id fall over and stay still for hours and hours while he pounded down a case of Molson..oh those were good times...i wonder when hes gonna be back from the LC? its been like 20 years, he must have got lost on the backroads again
The NFL really should run plays like that one where they pass it to a guy on a hook route and he naturally laterals it to someone just behind him or off to the side. Laterals are underrated 👌🏻 You could get good at them if they practiced them
COLLEGE FOOTBALL has the best trick plays. In this series was Nebraska 2:52 and TCU. BTW, NEBRASKA was always screwed by the BIASED FLORIDA Schools who had home field advantage. NEBRASKA would have won 10+ National Championships.
I didn’t realize how much I would miss Tom Brady playing in NE. I knew it was history in the making but it’s not the same seeing him in TB. Especially when Edelman was at the top of his game.
If he throws it and catches it like the Titans did vs chiefs, then yes but this the running back would get points for the throw and he would for the rec
I really wish there were way more plays like these in the NFL and even college football, it makes the game so much more entertaining
bet you're liking the 2018 NFL season, been a bunch of them this year
So do I. Really annoying...
Trick plays generally have a much lower rate of success in the NFL because NFL defenses are more experienced and disciplined. In lower levels, everyone is less experienced, but the offense has practiced that trick play and knows what to do.

You should be a Boilermaker then. At the very least a Jeff Brohm fan. He loves the gadget plays...as he calls them.

Nebraska's Fumbleruski is one of my altime favorite plays. It takes great trust in your center and guard to run it.
2:52 - was #1 to me in all the trick plays in this video. BTW, NEBRASKA was always screwed by the BIASED FLORIDA Schools who had home field advantage. NEBRASKA would have won 10+ National Championships.
I still think the biggest trick play of all time was the Seahawks not running the ball
Jackson mitchell yeah ikr
Hahagagahaha lol
Jackson mitchell hahahaha😂

Agreed! That’s the type of plays that make you questioned the integrity of your coach.

It used to be much easier to hide the ball back when the resolution was a lot worse
And it’s so much easier to get a first down now that the yellow line is on the field.
You have to give it to the quarterbacks. Especially on hail marys, having to hit those tiny pixels down the field.
😅😅😅

Yes this is the first time I’ve seen the thumbnail be the first video in the compilation. Everyone always puts it somewhere in the middle.

WHAT? Who teaches their kid to play dead?
Matt D me
It worked for Leo vs the bear... For a while, at least.
Doesn't everyone? Seems perfectly normal to me...
I thought the same thing! XD
wtf
Glad to see those two epic plays from Boise State. The 2007 Fiesta Bowl was the greatest college football game ever played.
It's 4 am & I don't even watch football wtf am I doing with my life

3:53 am and this is what I'm doing with my life as well
Lmao relatable

So much fun! Trick Plays are rarely ever used - and for good reason - but a well-executed one is a blast to watch!
The 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl really was one of the best college football games in history. Nobody even gave Boise a chance against Adrian Peterson and the Sooners but thanks to the trickery by Chris Peterson, Cinderella's team took down the giant

LongLive Gaming it’s dangerous
How can that be dangerous?
Half their blockers are turned around. All it takes is one guy running full tilt into that mob and someones got a torn acl. Not only that but all it takes is a good callout from the defense and their fucked.
They are wasting time instead of gaining yards. In higher level games the kicking teams would be right there plowing thru that huddle.
College players and up are too fast on special teams
Randy Moss. What a true legend.
that Tostitos fiesta bowl game was the greatest college football game I ever saw

Oh but they earned that W! GO BRONCOS!!!
About like when my Gators played Ohio State for the Natty. No one expected us to win that game. I think even Vegas had us at 12 or 13 point underdogs
Okay. Let's talk.
1. They WERE picked to win
2. If it wasn't for BSU's QB throwing the game it wouldn't have even been close

I’m just surprised BSU came up three times in this video.. lol BSU is some tricky dudes. Lol go blue!

Trick plays are often a gimmick and a last resort. But when they work, as the examples in this video demonstrate, they are a beauty to behold.

A lateral isn't a trick play, it's an improvised play.
PigsCanFly The hook and ladder is considered a trick play.

PigsCanFly All the hook-and-ladder plays in this video are planned except Randy Moss'.
PigsCanFly Actually a hook and ladder is a specific designed lateral play. Look it up, it's a trick play.
