Scout: This guy runs a 4.3-
Raiders: We'll take him
*Scout:* "But... He's my golden retriever. I was just making a joke."
*Raiders:* "Do you want the money or not?"
It's Hilarious that Darius Heyward-Bey ended up staying in the League because of his blocking prowess
Me on madden 😭😭😭
@@tatertots0046 he played for like 10 seasons that’s better than most
@@mikemorris9902 yea it's just ironic that he got drafted so high because of his speed but what kept him in the league was his blocking
"This is the guy with the great speed, but he can't hang on to the ball!" Yep that's Jon Ross' career right there
his career was more about missing 40 games in his first 4 seasons
John Ross was the pick right before Mahomes
@@francisdasta8646 Wow...
The tale of 2 picks.
8:54 Important context about Tyrone Calico’s career is that during a preseason game after his rookie year, Roy Williams did one of his infamous horse collar tackles on Calico. And it completely destroyed Calico’s knees to the point where his career couldn’t recover
I was wondering why a guy who is 6 4 and runs that fast didn’t make a bigger impact. Good to know
Welp it’s time for you to update this video already 😂
@@bradfahley4469Tarik woolen is a 6”4 cb who ran a 4.26 and only got drafted 5th round by Seahawks he’s a gem
I’d be interested to see the history of non-division rivalries in a video.
Fr tho
They kinda covered a few in an older video. I do think a fully dedicated vid would be cool tho
Vikings Saints
ua-cam.com/video/QJvQjWIkrDI/v-deo.htmlsi=QIZaVqE9h-v_poPx
Steelers cowboys
That 4.24 40 from Chris Johnson was so iconic! One of my favorite players as a kid!
Didnt know Jacoby Ford played only 3 seasons, felt a lot longer lol
I was thinking the same thing but thats probably because we're just remembering Jacoby Jones
Missed Ted Ginn. He ran a 4.28
which is also how many drops he had per game
Lol they're giving Ruggs the Benoit treatment
Videos already become outdated after Xavier Worthy with the 4.21
What happened to Xavier worthy?
@@Messup7654 he just said 4.21 🤦
@@jovanjamesgarrett7474 bruh I’m saying it as in the title😂 plus worthy never played a down so we don’t know
@@Messup7654 well dude said video was outdated because this came out before the combine. Worthy IMMEDIATELY ran the fastest 40 at the combine and then you asked what happen to him. Well he ran the fastest 40 in combine history that's what happen to him lol.
Bust vibes
It would be Cool if they had the Players also Run the 40-yard dash in Full Pads.
Chris Johnson was the most dominant player I’ve ever seen. I felt like I was watching a player from the 80’s. Truly a treat that 2k season
Then you’re too young to remember seeing barry sander’s live
Lmao the raiders are hilarious
Go chiefs!!!
13:43 - Congrats on finding basically the only positive Titans play from the 59-0 dismantling in New England that year!
Your UA-cam Channel Is Amazing NFL Throwback
Who else here after watching Xavier worthy 🤣 run a 4.21?!
Me🤣
its so interesting how they achieve these times runnings so differently.
A good 40 time has almost absolutely nothing with how you run, but how quick you can come out of your start to a sprint.
would be interesting to see the fastest at each position as well!
man, my guy John Ross. i thought he was gonna be a guy for sure. Go Dawgs ❤
I'd love to know what times Bo Jackson, Darrell Green, and Deion Sanders would actually run with todays more accurate measuring technology💨
Probably all low 4.2 guys.
👀 don't lie ,that list would walk anyone any time ,didn't play for money 💰
Green 4.3 Deion 4.28. Don't remember Bo's time. Green ran a 4.18 ten years in to his career. Yes he actually got faster and ran a 4.4 at age 50.
Also this video focuses on fastest guys who didn't have much of a career.
@@jedwing green and sanders have footage of walking down extremely fast players deion walk don be be like he was standing still
@@elishareilly7980I hear ya. And there's an NFL X File called Darrell Green Tackling Machine which has him chasing down Tony Dorsett and Eric Dickerson, two of the fastest all time especially with pads and in games. The guys in this video were mostly track stars
Lol we blew so many picks on “Track stars”
Shout out Darrent Williams 4.30 40 and 16 reps at 5’8 188
RIP
Definitely, he was on his way to being a star. RIP 😇
5:13 Pat Mcafee almost had him 😂
So, this guy can't catch a beachball but he runs a 4 thr- "we'll take him" -every raiders exec ever
Correct me if I am wrong, but this video failed to mention another Raider's speedy wide out. What ever happened to him?
Yeah he had a good rookie season, what ever happened to him? But seriously he factually did get a 4.27 but it was the right decision to not include him
James jett
What are the chances they release this just a few days before the record was broken
The unwritten winner is supposedly Bo and the legend is that he broke it by a decent amount.
Chris Johnson was real like an absolute fastest players in the NFL he'd was tremendously the real deal a 1st Round draft choice out of ECU in the 2008 nfl draft by the Tennessee Titans in 2009 he ran for 2000 years season although he may not have got or won a Super Bowl Ring but make no mistake about it just this sure Kevin Mawae is in the hall of fame because of CJ2K and to this day he ran a 4.24 in the 40 yard dash at the nfl combine so Thank You CJ2K you always have always is and always will be the franchise player with the Titans moving on forward🤟🏽🙌🏽 12:26
Yes more content like this please
You forgot Darrent Williams and Champ Bailey. They both ran sub 4.3 at the combine.
This proves why I shouldn’t be a NFL GM. I’d 100% draft guys based off speed.
Where’s Henry ruggs?? He ran a 4.27
Prison.
He’s a criminal now, so the NFL whitewashed him from their records.
If the NFL mentions him, there goes space-time continuum
Henry rugs still blazing fast although he’s not burning nfl dbs he’s burning prison dbs
Raiders really draft like they playing Madden lol.
Speed works better for defense over offense. WR get burned out having speed, getting drilled more injury prone. Always build defense first with speed
Jamel Dean won Super Bowl Championship in 2020 with the Bucs he was really good 2:20
When I used to play Madden back then I’d always draft the fastest prospects. They all would lack in other areas but I’d push to make them better.. 😂😂😂 I guess my mindset was similar to the Raiders
Surely now we do the opposite - good players with terrible combines
Jerry Rice 4.71
Xavier Worthy, YOU ARE A RAIDER!
It is so strange that the Houston/Tennessee organization is the only franchise to have 3 (Campbell, Johnson, and Henry) different 1900+ yard running backs! They have had some good ones in the last 40+ years!
fabian washington is my cousin and the reason i am a raiders fan. he did pretty well with the ravens. he's now retired, married with a family and used his money to venture into different businesses. life is great
Need to put in Fabian Washington running down Ahmad Bradshaw in the 4th quarter. Giants vs Ravens '08.
Bradshaw was slow
10:53 so Jerome Mathis was an all-pro and pro bowler his only season!! Got hurt at the Pro Bowl that year and never was the same, only played a handful of games after the injury!
Speed vs. Game speed
I only care about the 40 yard dash to scout for the upcoming madden. In real life football those 40yd dashes don’t mean much but in madden they mean everything lol
Oh yes I remember Dri Archer out of Kent State University 9:50
Randy Moss is rumored to have put up a 4.17 time during training camp in 1998. I've seen some seriously fast men play in the NFL over the past four decades, but I firmly believe that he may have been the fastest NFL player I've ever seen. The only guy who comes close was Darrell Green.
Bo Jackson?
🤣
I was a Vike's fan back then & the battery of Moss/ Carter/ Cunningham was lightning in a bottle.
Not official doesn’t matter, there’s a reason you never see them that fast even Christian Coleman the previous quickest man in the world ran a 4.12 in college
Terrance Newman Walked him down like he was standing still 2005 I was at the game
John Ross ran a 4.22 it is absolutely crazy but he was selected to the 1st Round 9th overall University of Washington Huskies in 2017 nfl draft but to be honest he should've went to Tennessee Pittsburgh Carolina or maybe Kansas City 14:17
we got a 4.21 time to update lol and john ross
2:01
Look at that head bobbing from side-to-side. Is that advantageous in running? Should I be training my neck so that I can run faster?
As a Steelers fan Javelin Guidry would be a excellent choice to wear the black and gold but with a such awesome speed like that I would put him at WR honestly 3:46
It's all about control that speed and taking correct angles fr
Show how much speed is coveted in the NFL. Most of these guys were only drafted bc they go fast. But unfortunately speed doesn’t always equate to quality on field play.
People seem to forget about CJ2K
Chris Jonhson did win me a Fantasy title, that one time in 2009. I also had Aaron Rodgers on that team.
How did you leave out Trindon Holiday?!
WOA! Where's Champ Bailey?... He was a 4.28.
What about Trindon Holiday ..how u leave out trindon
4:00 Pretty crazy Javelin Guidry played 4 games with the Raiders in 2002 considering he was only 4 years old.
they're forgetting henry ruggs III, I wonder why ;)
Dri Archer was one of my favorite Madden players 😂 I would always grab him off of free agency
The raiders video
You didn't show John Ross at NYG tho...😐
Coulda ended the segment a little better tho like how he retired at KC
As soon as I saw this was about speed, i knew it was gonna be littered with Al Davis picks
Ted Ginn was him especially on those kick returns
Babe wake up, NFL Throwback just posted a new voiced video.
Back then it was hard to coach speed and now u can get some speedsters in space and create and I would love to see what Reggie Bush could really do in todays NFL
As a Steelers fan Chris Johnson would have a Super Bowl Ring right now if not drafting a guy Rashad Mendenhall out of Illinois no offense to Mendenhall 12:55
CJs college highlights are insane. Most people slept on him. I was pissed when the Broncos passed on him as well.
Texas WR Xavier Worthy matched John Ross hopefully he will be better Speed Kills.
Who’s here after worthy ran a 4.21?
As a raiders 😮I like it
Ross w/ the limping 4.22. Wow.
Called John Ross falling off before it happened. Dude was terrible. Chris Johnson the only 4.2 guy that's actually good.
You can teach technique. You can't teach speed. No matter how much film you watch or cone drills you do, speed will out run you. That doesn't mean anyone who is fast can play well, but they aren't going to draft someone who needs a sun dial to clock their 40.
You can for sure teach speed if you think cone drills enhance speed I see why your uneducated matter of fact you can teach speed so much that every single able bodied normal young male can a run a 4.3 40 yard dash with great training yep
I love how Al- Davis just drafts like he’s playing madden.
What happened?? Darryl Green got to the HOF, won 3 Superbowls and selected for NFL All pro multiple times.. the fastest dudes were in the 1970s and 1980s
Darrius Heyward-Bey was a good but not a great player coming out of University of Maryland in 2009 nfl draft as a Steelers fan I was happy he'd played with us wearing black and gold 1:18
This was interesting.................
John Ross was a monster in my Madden franchise
It's ironic that the NFL made this video and answered the question in the first 4 minutes.
Also, 4 picks in a season is considered a good season? Wow. what a standard. Spare me
That first 49ers catch for Goodwin was his only catch... His newborn died that night before, he broke down after that catch.
I’m sure Bo would run 4.1
5:10 Darth Vader is a Raider fan
I guess you could say that being a Forrest Gump is not enough
John Ross the ultimate Madden cheat code. What could’ve been.
No henry ruggs I see😂😂😂
We now got a 4.21 to add
Edelman highlights pls
And teams keep swinging
3:59 did bro go back in time?
Well got a new record
Marquise Goodwin was amazing player I wish the Steelers could've got him 7:19
I think Eberflus was desperately looking for a receiver meaning I don’t think they’re going to get Marvin Harrison Junior, which would be stupid
Speed might not translate to nfl success but it will translate to madden success
Raiders are a solid case study that drafting for speed is a horrible idea
Now do BO... and his unofficial time of like -2
This will be the perfect season for Bennett to breakout with AP as coach
Much better to time them while putting the ball in their hand during the dash than running empty handed.
Note to Raiders: continue to sign the fastest WRs but make them run the ball lol.
New record today
John Ross could had a championship ring hope he doing well what he doing now
Xavier Worthy is a Raider confirmed
