Since Marilyn Manson at one time claimed to be a Satanist and was even acquainted with Dr. LaVey, I have to say that his behavior and treatment of women is extremely unsatanic. I happen to be a Theistic Satanist and know that everything he has done to these women would be forbidden in Satanism. Dr. LaVey would be very angry with him for his abusive behavior.
He actually wrote the forward to one of LaVey's books (I want to say it was Satan Speaks, I may be wrong as I read them all about a decade ago in my early teens). A lot of modern people think of LaVey as an authoritarian asshole, but I believe that his individualist philosophy is a lot more versatile than most people give it credit for. I was never really into Marilyn Manson's music, but he always struck me as a reasonable and intelligent fellow. It's extremely upsetting that he turned out not to be. I assume he'd try to justify it all with the concept of "being the best sinner on the block", but he should also remember that Satanism preaches rationalism, and going around committing crimes and acting like an idiot are good ways to screw yourself in the long run. I'd also argue that it's rational to respect people (at least nominally) unless you're certain that they have no intention to do likewise. Mistreating 50% of the entire human population without provocation is amazingly irrational, to say the least.
@@judeautenebrae5837 I have a lot of respect for Dr. LaVey. I wish I had the chance to meet him. I think he would have had a lot of good advice to give me. I have no respect for Peter Gilmore who has made a joke out of the CoS and has somehow convinced the members to treat Theistic Satanists like craps and claim that only Atheistic Satanists are true Satanists. They will get a rude awakening in the afterlife when they actually meet Lord Satan. As for Marilyn Manson, his behavior is appalling and very unsatanic. He was either not this horrible back when Dr. LaVey knew him or Dr. LaVey wasn't aware of his true nature. If he had known, he wouldn't have asked him to write the forward to some of his books.

Fun fact: I used to follow this actor called Evan Handler on Twitter. He posted this one time how Manson commented how nice his ass looked in his tight leather pants or something like that in his tweet. I replied saying that it's not so bad and he would block me. Never been a fan of Manson or anything, but I liked his "character" on Californication.
It was around the time when the whole Evan Rachel Wood fiasco was going on and around that time internet was just on fire with all this kind of sexual abuse stuff. Being a bit of a contrarian on principle and sometimes out of spite, I refused to believe this shit at first. Didn't want to be one of "those people", you know?
…Assuming that even one of these serious allegations is true, though, I'm pretty sure that A: I owe Evan Handler an apology and B: Manson needs a stint in Arkham.
Damn I legitimately love some of his music but it feels so wrong to listen to now after knowing this, this is awful

I have to say, none of this is exactly surprising. Looking at his history as an artist, and especially his drug abuse history, this is really not even remotely surprising to hear.
I do feel bad for the women involved because, while they probably expected him to be weird, I'm sure they didn't expect any of this when getting involved with him.
I never listened to Marilyn Manson before, but I have heard his name multiple times. My mom even told me that Marilyn Manson was evil and she doesn’t even like metal/rock music. The fact that this clown has claimed to proud be a Satanist just proves my mother’s judgement and warning to me. It also explains why he aged horribly!
