  • Join Justin Jamey and Liz in a raw and honest conversation with, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beast’ and ‘Hamilton’ star, Anthony Ramos about personal growth and overcoming life’s most intimate challenges. In this candid episode, Anthony shares his transformative journey, from starting therapy to truly "showing up" for himself in life in the past few months. He discusses heartbreak, finding solace in different relationships, and the healing process after losing love. By embracing solitude, he encourages listeners to tap into their inner strength and find solace amid the noise of our modern everyday life. As a treat to our listeners, Anthony also presents a heartfelt, unreleased song ‘When A Man Cries’ that questions society's aversion to men crying and celebrates the emotional release it brings.
This episode invites reflection on personal growth, self-discovery, and how we may be falling short of showing up for our own lives. Don't miss this extraordinary conversation as Anthony and our hosts delve into the depths of the human experience, breaking barriers along the way.

There's a special kind of sobriety of spirit that only the truth can provide! That level of rawness, sharing universal life struggles, the realness of deep inner work and the sacrifices and discipline it takes to stay committed to the path, to healing... that's what I found most relatable, humbling, and humane. These are the conversations we ought to be having! 🔥

Anthony Ramos is everything. It's so evident how much work he is putting in to be a better person and to grow. I'm in the middle of my healing journey and it's so refreshing to hear someone (especially him for me) speak out about the therapizing and how tiring it is but also how rewarding it is. I love his ability to self reflect and that he really tries to channel his emotions in a healthy way. I haven't been in the best place in the last couple years and am currently digging myself out and it's so hard. This was a fantastic interview, thank you for this 😍

My dad was a single dad, he raised me and my brother on his own. He had a temper and would yell all the time so I felt like he was an " angry " man. He cried twice, I remember the situations so vividly because my dad never cried so these two moments were HUGE to me. Both times my father was breaking down talking about things that had happened to him as a child and even though I didn’t fully understand then, those two moments have completely changed the way I connect with him now that I’m a woman. He wasn’t an angry man, he was a hurting man who couldn’t express his sadness so it manifested in anger. He might remember those two conversations where he broke down and cried, maybe not, but I’m so appreciative that I got to experience them because now when my partner cries I welcome those moments and can be present for him without feeling uncomfortable.
Women have to be safe for men to cry with… I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a woman say they get extremely uncomfortable when a man cries, or " I want a man, not a little bitch " and treat men like they aren’t human - but also want them to care about their feelings… women have just as much a part to play in this. I hope every man out there can find someone who makes them feel safe enough to curl up in their arms and break down ❤

It’s crazy how he felt harder for the rebound girl then he did for his ex if s7 years. I don’t mean that in a judgmental way either. I love Anthony and really appreciated hearing who he is behind the cameras, and how he’s trying to find who he is now. I wish him well on his journey of healing, self discovery, and deep forgiveness and love.

An amazing conversation! Raw and honest! So true that the maladaptive behavior you wince at today is what allowed you to survive your childhood and was genius then given a child's perspective. Love and cherish your inner child and let them know you are learning a better way and you will teach them and protect them along the way. Blessings!❤🙏

Just part way through this episode. So great! Some of the things Anthony Ramos is saying reminds me of an interview I heard with James Franco when he was trying to remove his blinders from his sex addiction and how to move forward from it. James Franco also said he felt very uncomfortable being alone. There's just so much great stuff in this interview, things that I want all men to feel allowance to explore for themselves. Love the comment about vulnerability as well, look how willing Anthony Ramos is to be vulnerable and how powerful his acting is. I see an example of the power of vulnerability here.

First episode I've watched and I'm in awe!! Being involved in Psychology and Clinical Counseling, this interview reminded me of why I'm passionate about helping others. There is so much that we can heal from if we allow ourselves to be vulnerable. It's hard and scary but once we get there it's life changing little by little. This was such an amazing interview. I love how it wasn't messy and just seeking to gossip. This interview touched on core values and morals to be a better person. ❤ I'm now a fan! Wonderful conversation!

The thing that is most important to men these days is to have a guy friend(s) with whom they can be vulnerable and cry it all out. This seemingly small thing can bring about a huge change in the world right now! And sadly, it is becoming more and more difficult with the social media usage growing.

People are not all the same regardless . I am a woman and I very seldom cry. So what does crying like a woman mean? They sometimes stereotype when talking about men and woman, which is wrong. Don’t do the same.

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I love this channel for the safe space it provides to deal with important issues without the fear that anyone will be stereotyped and alienated in that way, and that comment bothered me as well. Ironically, as a woman, I had just been relating to what Anthony said because I actually did once write a song about a time I cried after a long time. I had been through a lengthy depressive phase where I felt emotionally numb for so long. And then one day, while watching a film, I felt a single tear trail down my face at the ending, and I was so floored that I was feeling a strong emotion for the first time in ages, that I actually did write a song about it. So yes, while I appreciate the general fact that men are often socialized to express emotion in a different way than many women, there are various reasons why other people of different genders might experience a drought of emotional expression as well, so thanks for acknowledging this.
