Further. The 12 o'clock deadzone was completely acceptable. Still able to pick op an rmr on my 19 easily and naturally.

That's awesome, did you experience any "pinching" of those nose with these? Would you get these over DTNVS?

    • @havocdevelopment6142

      @@rpnvg i didn't have any pinching.
Even when they were super close to my face before i made adjustments.
I probably would take them over the dtnvg. Even though the dtnvg will stow better on your head than the rp's , since the rp's do not articulate.
With the rp theres no need for an ipd either because of the variable fov. So that saves miney over an articulated set too.
If you can get over the blind spot immediately infront. And understand how it works( you should its intuitive)
Id say the rpnvg are the way to go.

Man these are a game changer.

Oh man, I’ve been waiting to see these!
Is it true that these might pinch the nose a bit, when panned out? That seems to be a common concern, I’ve read. It doesn’t seem like they would, but I thought I’d ask and see what you thought - from first hand experience.
Edit - Finally purchased my set with 18UA tubes from you guys. Can't wait!

any cons to these? lookin into getting these. Wondering if the increased FOV is worth it over a set of DTNVS...id assume for CQB work the RPNVG is better ..?

Well Mr. "edit: I got them", what do you think?! You can't leave us on a cliff hanger like that. 😂be honest

@@JoeBlow-ub1us Hahahah, sorry! I forgot I left this comment! I received them around August of 2023. I absolutely love them and use them for work and play (hiking, shooting, stargazing, checking on the kids when they’re asleep).
I got very nice specs (around 2900 & 2800 FOM, both are around 40 on the SNR). The wide FOV and adjustability is an absolute game changer. When hog hunting, it’s a lot easier to keep track of a running passel of hogs + easier to spot more critters while driving a Polaris/vehicle/etc.
The weight is great, despite being heavier than many other units. The adjustments are easy and the goggle will hold whatever position I put it in, even when running. A lot of people on the internet lied and said “ThErE’s A 2 fOoT BlInD SpOt” in front of your face, when using them. Completely untrue. There’s maybe an 8 inch blind spot from my nose, when fully panned. It has zero effect when aiming a handgun or passively shooting rifles.
The clicky buttons work great, I really like them over the traditional knob designs. And the IR illuminator is freaking awesome, especially with a PVS-7 IR Focusing Cap. I can project an IR beam off the RPNVG’s that’s more powerful than any of my civilian LAM’s.
But yeah! Extremely happy with my purchase. I would 100% get them again, if I had the option. I’ve actually lost a solid 15 lbs and gotten very nice and lean because of these, hahahah. Just because I’m constantly out and running around with them, at night. If you have any specific questions, let me know!

@@ItsIntelligent Hey there! I think it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve taken them on a few hog hunts and just being able to spot hogs with a much wider FOV is extremely useful. And yes, for CQB, these are great!
I think the only negatives are that you have about an 8 inch blind spot in front of your face, when fully panned. Not a huge deal, though. I can still passively aim rifles + shoot handguns just fine and without tilting my head to see my MK25’s RMR. Also, they don’t keep a low profile like articulating goggles; when stowed. Not a big issue for me as I’m used to ANVIS-9’s folding pretty high. I never bump my head indoors or in vehicles/aircraft because I’m used to this. But your mileage may vary.
I’m still super happy with my purchase.

@@rpnvg Nice! Thanks for the reply. I think I'm gonna save for these instead of going for the standard pvs-14 as my first nvg purchase. In hopes to achieve a buy once cry once lol. Then maybe get a 14 down the line just to have it. Anyway, glad to hear you're liking em, its a really slick piece of kit. I'm definitely jealous haha.

so there is no way to lock the tubes to whatever width you want? fov wise

I live in Deerfield Beach, FL. I need to visit Sarasota. I have been researching singles and duals for awhile but would like to see the tubes in person and look at the various manufactured intensifiers. Also, when talking about the spots in the various zones, are there areas that can impede or distract vision when deciding on the tubes. Thks

So is there still 1200 dead space but minimized compared to other options, or none at all?

I have the RNVG, is it possible to buy the new bridge and retrofit my tubes onto it?

    • @duncangreene8739
      @duncangreene8739 2 роки тому

The RNVG can not be retrofitted due to how the RPNVG power bridge and pods are designed.
