After this video came to his attention, Andrew Steele contacted me through one of my posts on Reddit! He confirmed that they do, in fact, have a presence on Reddit and would be glad to help any customers who contact through that platform. I wasn’t aware of this at the time this video was made, so keep that in mind! That’s great to see. Also, I’d like to mention that Steele Industries does have a great UA-cam video where they go through the contents of the Night Fighter Package in more detail, specifically for those who don’t know how to assemble all of the products. Lastly and to be clear, their new lanyard is an improvement over their “old” one! Thanks for watching!
Dude buying PVS-14 this year November was the bigger purchase I made all year lol And in between the unit, the helmet, mount and the accessories to the unit. It's a purchase I do not regret. The night is a different world to me now 🙂
That’s awesome to hear! Where did you purchase your unit from? Not only do I not regret my purchase but I am actively trying to get my good friend to set himself up with one! I’m currently learning about tarsier iris for the PVS-14. I find it interesting but haven’t pulled the trigger on one, yet. Also been looking at different thermal cameras that will work with my phone. Exciting! It’s good to not move too fast though, and enjoy the stuff you already own. For the longest time, I didn’t think I’d ever even have a PVS-14!
Wow! I am like you just a regular guy. Last night after watching your video we seem to share similar values in the process of decisions making. I left a VM with Steel ind. east coast time 7:30 I proceeded to email Steel Ind. I was 3 words into the email and received a call from Daniel. I had almost bought a pair of Jerry 31, when I talked to the representative at the company selling Jerry 31 I asked a question about Gen 2 not auto gating his answer was don't worry it just works "not good, good bye". Daniel was completely different. I ended up purchasing PVS-14 L3HARRIS UNFILMED WHITE PHOSPHOR. Your video and Daniel professionalism combined helped me pull the plug on such a big purchase. Thank you
@@markg4561 Good luck! Probably taking part in their Black Friday deals? Good stuff! I notice that their packages and website has changed a bit since this video was made but overall I still hear great things about them. Good luck and see ya out there
I did the wire transfer and I think I had my unit with in a week. I also picked some pretty high specs and they got me a unit that met all those. I feel like I got a pretty good value through Steele.
That’s awesome & I appreciate you sharing! I happened to buy right as they got their stock in before Black Friday, so I know there was a decent number of units available and that may have made it easier for me to get a tube that I’m proud of, though I consistently hear good stories about Steele. Have you experimented by any chance with a tarsier iris for your unit? I’m thinking about picking one up. Anyway, thanks!
@@lawrencerodgers9845 it was on a sale for 2700 or 2800. White phosphor, 36 snr, sub 1 halo and ebi. No spots or blems. The prices have gone up since I got mine.
Great Video Brother... I'm in the process of complying all the accessories of night vision... Haven't pulled the trigger on the PVS14...yet but Appreciate the vid 🤟
Thanks and I’m glad to hear that! It’s definitely worth waiting however long it takes to understand the market and get what is best for you! Have a good one
It’s funny because when Steele Industries called me to ask which specifications I prefer for my PVS-14, I literally told them that I essentially had “no idea what any of these number mean”. I admitted to the man that I’m reading “good numbers for specs” off of a website because it’s the best I could do. I have learned more since then but there’s still plenty out there to discover. My favorite aspect to learn about is the actual process of creating a night vision tube. It’s crazy! Thanks for the comment & have a good one!
I’m not beyond that at all! I’ve had plenty of UA-cam channels in the past and have actually done similar things before, in their videos. It makes for good fun and it’s interesting to see who actually makes it to that point in a video!

I emailed them probably 50 times before I bought and they were so helpful and offered me all kinds of information and help highly recommend them

How much did it cost for the unit you got? Thinking of getting one myself

I got mine through Steele a while back, and I think I got excellent specs for the price I paid.
I’m glad to hear that! I must say that it seems to be the majority experience. Hope you continue to enjoy! Thanks for the comment
Thank you for a informative review and especially the NW web page!

You should do a random Rickroll in the middle of your video but with your voice:)

You got ripped off! You can buy a PVS14 for $2000!
The generation and the tube quality make a big price difference. Pvs14s can be a whole range of prices depending on those factors.
Hey you said earlier you got Russian ones where did you get them?
He really didn’t.
White phosphorus is more expensive than green, and the specs and generation of tube are vital when determining a fair price.
Steele industries is legit.
I do agree! Thanks for the comment & have a good day.
Would you happen to have an email I could contact you at?
