Thanks Augee, informative video. do you have any plans to explain the 15/31's or is it a low volume product not needing a video? after TNVC announced them I placed my order for a set of 15/31's due to my 54 year old eyes needing the adjustment & with them I can more easily share them with fewer issues. Getting other people into NV means giving them a good experience their 1st time. Thanks again Augee, can't wait till July and my NOD's to ship!
1531s are basically 31As with a relocated battery port, PVS-14 optics, and an IR illuminator

These are not the same
@@atacorion they’re similar. The ATN’s have a metal housing. A little heavier but better durability. The internals are the same. L3.

Very succienct summary, thanks! Now you have me debating my decision to go with a DTNVS, since this seems like it has manual gain, a battery pack, and the flashbang protection. Any reviews or comparison to a DTNVS?
Kinetic Consulting has a good breakdown on the two. Something to consider is that you will need a battery pack and the adaptor cable for your DTNVS. You wont be saving as much money as you might imagine.

So, PVS-31 is unfilmed Green, PVS-31A is unfilmed white, PVS-31B (I've been told secondhand) is a navsea spec modification with some exterior changes for maritime use.
PVS-31C is an ugly export abomination made to send to Canadians and the PVS-31D is the Harris F5032 Squad night vision goggles. The C is ugly, and the D is cryptic at best. The only user I've ever talked to said they weren't impressed.

Yeah, BNVD-1531 seems like the way to go in terms of at least being feature complete.
Get NVD bnvd UL or 1531s over these for sure.

@@hahtsauce I have psv31D’s. Thin filmed being a lesser performing tube is over stated by far too many people. My 31s are about 2700 FOM with a low EBI and work great in the dark without ambient light. They kick the shit out of my friends 2100 fom DTNVS,.
