Finally, some reviews! How exciting, great video. I've purchased mine from Steele and I'm very excited for them to finally ship. For my own uses, these fit the bill 100%. I could never justify duals due to it only adding depth perception. I don't hike or live in extremely mountainous terrain, so a 14 worked for me just fine. But the minute I saw these, I had to have it. The added FOV + PVS-7 style IR light (with a focusing lens) will be a great combination while cruising around in the Polaris.
@@redgroyp Yessir, 100% worth it. I liked my friend’s DTNVS’s but as I said in my original comment - I could never justify the cost to only gain some added depth perception. I get the value of depth but never found myself tripping/stumbling with just a PVS-14. But I’ve had years with a 14 so it’s likely my brain adapted to it. But yeah! RPNVG’s are absolutely incredible. I love shooting in the wide FOV mode, driving in WFOV and running around in that configuration. The only time I do run them with no WFOV is when I’m looking at stars or if I’m driving really bump/hilly terrain and wanted that little bit of depth perception.
i cruise around in my polaris UTV with the lights off and a UV filter on the gauge at night all the time with a PVS-14, i used a set of 14-31's and those are a game changer when driving but lack the ideal FOV still. i ordered a set of these to do the same thing haha. driving around dirt roads at night isnt as fun when you cant see whats along the road side.
@@steezykraig3318 You’ll love it! I’ve driven a Sur-Ron X with mine on. It’s crazy fun and quiet. And I agree, I felt a lot better knowing I could see any deer on the sides of those dirt roads. Didn’t want to get impaled by a buck’s horns, hahahah.
As someone with RNVGs I’ve been thinking about getting my tubes swapped to this housing. The ability to pull them apart really intrigues me. Has there been any word on the single tube mounting system?
If you could have these or PVS-31 alphas which would you get. I like the idea of having an expanded field of view but I also like factory built L3 and Eotech NVGs
Super helpful! Been looking for a review for weeks. Maybe post an update when you get some more time on these, you might have new information worth mentioning…
@@YAGERMFG that's awesome. I'm definitely getting a set. Which tubes did u get? I saw the L3 tubes are 10k. I'm not sure if I wanna go with those. I'm having a hard time considering even the cheapest tubes they have for them and they're like over 7k
@@armon8399 I got L3 18UM for $8.5k. I got a bit of a deal though. If you can find with elbit tubes with decent specs, I think that's reasonable. In my experience, the main difference between elbit and L3 is that the L3 has less noise, so it's sharper in super dim conditions. Not sure why the SNR rating doesn't seem to capture this.
Since they don't articulate - are there alternate means to move the pods out of the way? For example, can you slide one of the pods to the side to see unaided (sort of like swinging one of the articulating NVs pods up)?
They are not because it does not lock in.. just push connect and the are not the ninety degree connectors. So you can get hung up easier on branches and things like that
Fixed in newer videos. UA-cam doesn't let me fix videos after uploading, so you'll notice some color and sound improvements as I figure out how YT wants it

Did you get them? How's your experience been?

How much did you end up paying?

Yeah, you can buy a pair of battery packs for $500 that allows you to convert this into two monoculars that take PVS-14 screw mounts. Works great.

Where do you get your sacrificial lenses. And there was a guy from the military he recommends the Wilcox extension mount..
You have no other videos? If this is actually your first vid good stuff, hope ya do more.
Yeah, first video. Some people were asking me to do a review so I threw this up over the weekend. Thank you, will consider doing some more reviews
Yeah great voice for clear instruction. Like you could do voiceovers.
@@YAGERMFG fantastic quality first video, do you do media outside of this?
@@simply_based thank you! I do some photography for fun, but this channel is my first foray into video
I subbed. Now when is the rpnvg+wfov group buy?
He said the bungies make it more balanced/ less tension.. will you get the thermal clip on for tgem?
awesome review thank you!
Do both pods slide off the bridge, or just the one?
Both pods!
Great video. Are the articulating arms geared do that they rotate in and out together? Or do they rotate independently?
Dtnvs vs rpnvg which is better?
You bought from TNVC ? What are the intensifiers? Price and lead time?
Game changer. I will be getting a set of these. Bet on that..
Does it have an aluminum housing??
Yep, all aluminum

what kind of dog is this ?
This video is so good.

You just use your G24 or similar mount to flip them up.
He also said what out using the 60 degree that you can loose your twelve o'clock view..
I like the McDonald’s caps
They're my corporate sponsor

NO GAIN CONTROL FOR TUBES… COMING FOR RNVG MODEL
these are gonna fuck up the resale value of rnvgs so much 😭
Hahaha, I'm not 100% sure but I think these housings are somewhat more expensive. Plus, probably like 80% of the value of RNVGs is in the tubes
dude talk louder. i have to put your audio at twice that of other videos.

Sick McDonalds lenses
I always rep the golden arches
